The younger child wanted to go, so we decided to visit the restaurant. There were a lot of people in the morning, so we had to wait for a ticket for 3:30 pm. We waited and finally got in, and the child was happy taking photos and getting autographs, so it was worth it.

I came to Harajuku. It's been probably about 30 years since I last visited. The only memory I have from back then is Marion Crepes on Takeshita Street. Now, my goal this time is a tapioca shop that is (apparently) popular on YouTube. Despite it being a rainy weekday, there was a long line. (This photo was taken when the line was not as long). The store is supposed to open at 11:00, but the shutter actually opened around 11:15. Then, we were directed to go to the second floor to buy merchandise. The store's character, a baby, and merchandise of the YouTuber who is also a staff member, were being sold, creating an irresistible sight for fans. The price for one cup is around 600 yen. Well, that's the usual price for tapioca. It's more of a special experience to enjoy tapioca in a special place like Harajuku, so it seems like a reasonable amount. The staff calls out "Baby Tapi♬" while piercing the straw, which seems fun for the kids. Anyway, I bought the tapioca. There were options like brown sugar milk, and others (honestly, I don't remember well). The kids were delighted with the live "Baby Tapi♬". The brown sugar milk was quite rich. The tapioca was large and had a smooth texture, very delicious. There were various other flavors like chocolate, but as a middle-aged person who loves the classics, I prefer the traditional ones. The blue ice cream was a hit! This is popular among kids. It was a bit chilly that day, so I took just one bite and gave it to the kids, who seemed to consider it a special treat. ◆◇◆ Postscript ◆◇◆ I had some thoughts about the delayed opening time, making the lined-up queue re-line (wouldn't it be better to direct people to this line from the beginning, or have signs indicating so), and other things. However, the staff at this store are good at engaging with children, making everyone smile. My daughter wanted to visit the Bebitapi Tokyo Harajuku store in front of Harajuku Station. Despite it being 80 minutes before opening, there were already about 20 people waiting, and by the time it opened, there were around 300 people in line. The wait time was like Disneyland. We went up to the 2nd floor shop 30 minutes before opening to buy goods first. They could sign on items that could be written on, and they would write their name on the bromide. At 11 o'clock, we entered the store one by one. First, we ordered food and drinks from the ticket machine, then waited in line. I bought warabimochi black sugar milk and a sponge that can be eaten. When it was my turn, the YouTuber working that day would stick a straw in the drink with a shout of "Bebitapi". There is no dining space inside, so we went outside to eat and drink. The drink was sweet with a strong black sugar flavor, and the warabimochi surprisingly went well with it. The sponge was exactly like sponge cake - a bit sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Kids who watch YouTube would definitely enjoy this place.

I finally got to visit the tapioca shop "Bebe Tapi Tokyo Harajuku Store," which always has long lines and is hard to get into. Normally, it's crowded with young girls, but this time I was able to go in by myself. I saw what looked like gelato and bought it from the vending machine for 650 yen. I brought it into my car and tried it with a strange jam-like spout that allowed for flavor changes. I thought it was just about the appearance, but it was actually incredibly delicious. The staff were also very kind, so I would like to try ordering tapioca next time if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I lined up for 2 hours as requested by the children, and finally got to meet Shinnosuke and Shinako, who they were excited to see! Even though they were tired from interacting with hundreds of people a day, their smiles and energy in serving customers were truly remarkable! It was definitely worth the wait at this store.

I went there because of my child's strong desire. It seems like a service that would be popular with elementary and middle school students. I don't usually drink tapioca, but it was delicious. I can't recommend anything other than the drinks.

If you go at 11 o'clock, you'll wait four hours and die.
