I visited the event to get the collaboration product. It was Saturday morning on Takeshita Street, so it wasn't too crowded. I picked up the strawberry whip sandwich through online reservation, and there was outdoor seating nearby where I could eat. It was delicious.

I tried the Tokachi red bean rock salt butter sandwich. The rock salt added a subtle sweet and salty flavor that even men would enjoy. The butter had a strong presence and a nice creamy texture. The whipped cream was so soft that it started to deform while I was taking a picture. I don't think this level of softness in whipped cream can be replicated in convenience store sweets, so I was glad I visited. The strawberry daifuku and drinks also looked delicious, so I plan to visit again.

First visit Takeout ● Harajuku Ichigo Daifuku Matcha An ¥480 A completely black strawberry daifuku with a strong sour strawberry mixed with sweet matcha an, delicious. ● Ichigo Milk ¥480 A drink with sweet milk mixed with strawberry jam. There was not much strawberry jam, so there wasn't much strawberry flavor, but the milk was very sweet and delicious, like cold sweet milk. The Harajuku Ichigo Daifuku with matcha an was sold out when I visited! The person in front of me was also buying matcha an! It seems like the store is popular for its anime collaboration.

I stopped by to buy an offering for the household Shinto altar, and ended up getting some strawberry daifuku, which I haven't had in a while (´,,・ω・,,`). It was cold, so I also ordered some hot cocoa, but it was too sweet, maybe they put in too much sugar (・・;). Personally, I thought they overdid it to cover up the taste of the charcoal. I declined the whipped cream, as I always prefer soy milk at Starbucks (´。~ω~。`). The strawberry daifuku was delicious as usual, and the strawberries were not too small. I will stop by again when I go to Harajuku. Thank you for the delicious hot cocoa and strawberry daifuku in the cold weather. Thank you very much.

I noticed that a new sweets shop opened on Takeshita Street in Harajuku. I tried the popular Photo-Genic, Moe-Dan, and Fruit Daifuku, and they were all delicious. The shop is run by entrepreneur and YouTuber Max Murai's company (Kabu). It opened in September 2021. I tried the Harajuku Strawberry Daifuku (red bean paste) for 480 yen. The black daifuku is made by Takaraiya, established in 1868 in Kudanshita. No wonder it's so delicious. Both the mochi (soft rice cake) and red bean paste are fresh and the sweetness of the strawberry is balanced with a hint of sourness. The black color of the mochi is achieved by kneading domestic bamboo charcoal powder. In addition to red bean paste, they also offer white bean paste, matcha, black tea, hojicha, and cream daifuku. Thank you for the delicious treat!

So if you download the HARAJUKU app, you can eat at a discount. I tried the strawberry daifuku with red tea filling. I purchased it on a whim because there was an event at this shop. The mochi part seems to have bamboo charcoal kneaded into it. The red tea filling had a nice aroma and paired well with the strawberry daifuku. The strawberries tasted like the ones you can buy at a supermarket for 500 yen per pack (in Azabu). They were a bit sour. Some people might prefer a slightly sour strawberry with sweet filling in their daifuku, but personally, I felt that for the price of 480 yen, the ingredients seemed cheap.

This is a shop on Takeshita Street where you can enjoy drinks and sweets made with bamboo charcoal! The atmosphere is not typical of Takeshita Street, with a cool signboard! Popular items include Harajuku strawberry daifuku and financiers dyed black with bamboo charcoal powder, as well as the classic black popcorn and bamboo charcoal coffee! The black Harajuku strawberry daifuku and strawberry drink were incredibly delicious, so next time I want to try the popcorn! The staff were very polite and attentive, which left a great impression!

Strawberry Daifuku - Black (White Bean Paste), Strawberry Daifuku - White, Strawberry Daifuku - White (White Bean Paste, Red Bean Paste, Matcha Bean Paste, Hojicha Bean Paste, Black Tea Bean Paste) all priced at 520 yen each (tax included) until the store opens, they are being sold as a pop-up in front of the store. Right now, summer strawberries are the main feature. Normally, summer strawberries are quite acidic, but when paired with the sweetness of daifuku, the balance is perfect. They also have stick-type daifuku, so it's recommended to enjoy them while walking down Takeshita Street in Harajuku. Owner Max Murai-san also occasionally makes appearances, so be sure to check it out.

While strolling along Takeshita Street, we discovered a shop selling strawberry daifuku and the trendy an butter sweets. It was a small shop with a cute interior and a seating area for eating in. There were various small items displayed on the counter, making it look photogenic. At first, we were the only customers in the shop. A friendly young male staff member greeted us with a smile. We ordered one white bean paste strawberry daifuku and one yuzu and rock salt butter sandwich dorayaki. The set came with two cups of green tea for a total of 1190 yen, which was a great deal. As we were taking photos and videos inside the shop, more customers started to come in and line up. The quality of the white bean paste was high and the dorayaki was satisfying. It was a pleasant experience and we were able to relax and enjoy the treats.
