For some reason, there was a gap of one and a half years between visits to Pizzeria Romana Il Pentito! I went for a friend's private party this time! On this day, in addition to pizza, they also grilled fillet meat and served plenty of whiskey to go with it, making it a luxurious private party! The pizzas here are very thin and crustless, so you can have as many slices as you like! The fillet meat made by the owner of Meat Mountain was cooked in the pizza oven and was incredibly tender and delicious when picked up and eaten by hand! We also had plenty of unique whiskeys that paired well with the pizza, and we ended up happily tipsy! I think all the participants were in good spirits and having fun throughout the night! I've been enjoying Roman-style pizza at this place in Yoyogi for 26 years, and it's been almost 7 years since my last visit, but I finally had the chance to come back! In these 7 years, I've broadened my culinary experiences, and I must say, the evolution of this restaurant is impressive. They use imported ingredients from Italy and homemade toppings, which have elevated the quality of their dishes and pizzas. Among them, the pizza with white truffle oil and soft-boiled egg stood out. Instead of simply shaving truffle on top, they deliberately use homemade white truffle oil to bring out the aroma to the fullest, creating a unique and delicious pizza on their thin Roman-style crust. The porcini mushroom season is approaching, but they are already fully booked, so I'll have to come back next year to taste it.

I heard rumors about delicious Roman pizza and decided to visit Pizzeria Romana Il Pentito. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with 3 tables that could seat up to 6 people. It is recommended to go with 6 people as you can try more pizza varieties that way. We started with appetizers such as bruschetta, tomato cheese croquettes, and salad. Even though the portions were quite generous, they felt light and easy to eat. The pizzas arrived according to the number of people, so with a group of 6, you get 6 pizzas. After finishing them, we were asked if we wanted to add more, and we chose to add 3 more pizzas, which were also delicious. We ended the meal with dessert and coffee. The whole dining experience lasted around 3 hours, and it was really enjoyable. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

However, the cheese on the pizzas is very delicious. There is no a la carte menu, only a set course with pizzas for each person. Desserts and coffee are ordered separately, and the wine selection is all Italian and reasonably priced. They provide a large bottle of water for each table. With 6 people enjoying 6 bottles of wine and ordering dessert and coffee for each person, the total bill came to 16,000 yen. The menu included prosciutto, onion and tuna bruschetta, meatballs in tomato sauce, various fried items, salad, ham, and Parmigiano-Reggiano for sharing. The pizzas were varied and flavorful, with toppings like anchovies, raw ham, mushrooms, and truffle oil. The desserts included a pudding, raspberry mousse, yogurt gelato with cherries, and a complimentary peach tea. It's located on the 1st floor of AXIS building, a 7-minute walk from Yoyogi Station and a 5-minute walk from Minami Shinjuku Station. The pizza here is different from the chewy and thick dough ones, it has a crispy thin crust. It's definitely a delicious pizza with a unique taste. We tried a total of 6 pizzas with 6 people and ended up ordering 2 more, which we also devoured in no time. I can eat as much as I want when it's delicious. The meal started with several appetizers followed by pizzas, all served as chef's choice. I was invited by a friend and finally visited Il Pentito as I had always wanted. The rumors were true, as each appetizer was delicious and the wine was flowing. I couldn't wait for the pizza! When it finally arrived, the thin, crispy crust was fragrant and the flavor was incredibly delicious. I would love to visit this restaurant again soon.

Invited to the seat of the super popular food blogger Supremacy Ootai for the first time. The restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from Yoyogi Station. Inside the restaurant, there is a huge pizza oven, giving it a true pizzeria feel. It seems like the menu consists only of chef's choice dishes. The first half of the meal was spent enjoying appetizers and salads while sipping wine to warm up the atmosphere. The second half was all about devouring pizzas one after the other. On this day, the chef served us 6 pizzas, and we added 2 more for a total of 8 pizzas which we easily finished among 6 people. The appetizers in the first half were relatively bold in flavor to pair well with the wine. They were made with good ingredients and were deliciously prepared. As we moved towards the pizzas in the second half, the table gradually became more lively, which was enjoyable. The pizzas had a thin crust with a chewy yet crispy texture - a completely different experience from the usual thick and chewy Neapolitan pizza. The center with the toppings was moist, while the edges were crispy. Oh wow! These are definitely delicious! And you can keep eating them endlessly (laughs). The combination of ingredients, especially the cheese, was diverse and never boring. It's no wonder that many people become addicted to this place. While there are some negative reviews about the service, on this day, we had a great and enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. We will definitely come back again.

It's spring! I wanted to eat thin-crust pizza, so I gathered my friends and went to Il Pentito. When you come here, you feel like you're in Italy with the packed customer seating and the chef's close distance. Let's start with the chef's recommended sparkling wine. The wood-fired pizzas are served piping hot, and it's fun to chat while nibbling on pizza toppings. I love the tomato soup with high lycopene. It makes me feel healthy. The buffala goes perfectly with white wine! Adjusting the saltiness with fish roe is a delight for us drinkers. The fries on this day had scallops in them. The salad is generously topped with shaved Parmigiano. And the mortadella ham is delicious. Now, it's finally time for PIZZA. - Onion pizza - Creamy shirasu pizza - Buffala and ham pizza - Anchovy pizza - Truffle and onsen egg pizza - Five cheese pizza All of them are incredibly delicious, and you can easily finish a whole pizza here. It was Tuesday at 7:00 pm when I visited the restaurant with 12 regular customers who made a reservation. The restaurant opens at 7:00 pm and seems to have a lot of reservations from regular customers. It is run by an elderly couple, with the husband cooking and the wife serving the food. We ordered a selection of 4 wines including sparkling, white, and others. The meal included olives, white bean bruschetta, meatballs made from chicken, water buffalo mozzarella with cod caviar, 4 types of fried foods, salad, and 6 types of pizza with thin and delicious crust. Even though it wasn't a set course, the menu felt like an omakase experience. I wanted to eat more pizza but it seemed like the owner lost interest midway. The owner had a unique personality, scolding his wife loudly at one point but then coming to our table to chat. The food was delicious, but it might be difficult to get a reservation due to its popularity. If you can easily visit because it's close to your home, I think it's worth a try. First visit, already 4th time in just 10 months, this pizza is so delicious that I think there is no better pizza than this. Everyone I bring here is impressed and feels a sense of romance. Although not as popular as Napoli pizza, the pizza at this restaurant is amazing. Prosciutto with olives, Awaji Island onions and white kidney bean paste chipotle, forest chicken supremuta, buffalo mozzarella with smoked tar caviar, fried provolone cheese, olives ascolana, black wagyu beef menchi katsu, curry filet fry with tartar, salad, pinon sponge (Awaji Island onions), pentit (mascarpone, green peppers, mozzarella, prosciutto), three-meal pizza (crab stick pizza), funghi superiore (mushrooms with white truffle oil and half-boiled egg), cinque formaggi (5 kinds of cheese: mozzarella, gorgonzola, scamorza, parmesan, red cheddar), margherita superiore, inde moreata (four northern hemisphere spices on salami), Napoli pizza (anchovy), Genovese (Kitakari, roasted pine nuts), homemade pudding, del bosco (raspberry mousse, strawberries and blueberries), coffee. On this day, there were six of us and we enjoyed 9 pizzas in total, the most we've ever had. The two girls who eat a lot seemed like they could still eat 2 more pizzas, but unfortunately we ran out of pizza dough. Everyone really eats a lot. The furniture used in the restaurant, such as tables, was imported from Italy by sea freight. The menu is divided into appetizers, pizzas, and desserts. There are around 10 types of pizzas, some with tomato sauce and some without. The pizzas here are Roman-style, with a thin and crispy crust. The toppings are minimal and the pizzas are cut into portions at the table with special scissors, not with a pizza cutter. This day we visited with 6 people and had 9 pizzas. We wanted to order more, but they ran out of dough. The light and crispy crust allows for a generous amount to be enjoyed. -Various pizzas and appetizers were enjoyed, including olive, plum tomato, buffalo mozzarella, smoked cod roe, Italian-style fried platter, insalata, and more. Napoli pizza is delicious, but if you try this Roman pizza, you will surely love it. There is a fantastic pizza place located 4 minutes from Minami-Shinjuku Station and 10 minutes from Yoyogi Station. Prosciutto Olive, buffalo mozzarella cheese, taro chione, Awaji onions with white beans, forest chicken and tomato gaspacho, fried provolone, olive ascolana, Wagyu beef menchi katsu, fried flounder fillet, Australian mortadella ham salad, Pionespone (onion pizza), Pentito (mozzarella, mascarpone, green pepper, prosciutto), Arca Ahoro (early cabbage pizza), Srimy (crab pizza), Funghi Superiore (mozzarella, mushroom, white truffle oil, egg), Cinque Formaggi (5 cheese: mozzarella, gorgonzola, scamorza, Parmigiano, red cheddar), Indimoriata (pizza seasoned with spices from four countries in the northern hemisphere), Margherita Superiore, and pudding were all ordered by our group of six that day (missed one order). The thin crust allowed us to have quite a bit, but it was surprisingly filling. The base dough is delicious, and each of the eight varieties had a different flavor that kept us from getting bored. We truly enjoyed the pizzas that day.

The appetizers are delicious and the atmosphere is amazing. Of course, the pizza is incredibly delicious. This is my favorite pizza place. The pinnacle of Roman pizza. Thin pizza is really tasty. I definitely agree with their slogan "drinkable pizza"!

I went to "Pizzeria Romana Il Pentito" with some friends who invited me. It's about a 5-minute walk from Yoyogi Station. It was my first time at Il Pentito. Eating pizza with a large group is great because the thin crust makes it easy to keep eating. We tried so many kinds of pizza, I wonder how many we had? The rumored spring cabbage pizza was really tasty, with the sweet cabbage pairing well with the cheese. The Bismarck pizza with the runny egg was also amazing. We enjoyed plenty of wine and had a great night. A famous restaurant in Rome-style pizza that is frequented by many food enthusiasts. The owner, Mr. Ikeda, bakes thin-crusted Roman pizzas that are not only thin but also crispy yet with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, earning them the nickname "drinkable pizza". The appetizers such as salads, cheeses, fries, and potato salad also impress with their quality of ingredients, cooking methods, and ingredient pairings. On this day, we enjoyed several varieties of pizzas as we were a group of 4. The "Funghi Superiore" with truffle oil and mozzarella cheese was delicately aromatic, while the "Cinque Formaggi" loaded with mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmesan, and 2 other cheeses was a cheese lovers' delight. The dessert of firm and generously-sized pudding also hit the spot. It had been a few years since I last visited, but this is a restaurant I would want to revisit again and again.

I visited once and got hooked on the deliciousness. The taste of Roman pizza surpasses Neapolitan pizza, it must be because this restaurant is amazing. Located 5 minutes from Minami Shinjuku Station and 12 minutes from Yoyogi Station. The menu includes: Prosciutto Olive, White Bean Soup, Crema Tomato, Forest Chicken; Fried Flounder, Provolone Cheese, Ascolana Olive, Scallop; Australian Mortadella Ham Salad; Risotto; Penne with Mascarpone Cheese and Green Pepper Prosciutto; Funghi Superiore with Alba White Truffle, Green Pepper Prosciutto, and Egg; Pecorino Romano; Porcini Mushroom; Cinque Formaggi (5 Cheeses: Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Scamorza, Parmigiano, Red Cheddar); and Pudding. The combination of dough and cheese is great, last time 4 of us came but with 6 people, you can have 6 slices (add an extra Cinque Formaggi). It's great to taste the variations of flavors with each slice. It's a wonderful restaurant.
