I revisited after a long time on a Saturday around 12:00. There was a wait for 4 people. Nevertheless, I really wanted to eat at Shinami Sato, so I naturally lined up. I also really wanted to eat the super spicy sesame ramen, but at this rate, it seems like I may never get the chance, so today I made the strong decision to eat the super spicy sesame ramen. After about 20 minutes, I was seated. I ordered the super spicy sesame ramen for 2,530 yen and the seasonal mixed rice (this time it was dry curry) for 220 yen, bringing the total to 2,750 yen including tax. The food was served in about 5 minutes. There was a large amount of kaiware (radish sprouts) on top, and they even provided a small plate for emergency kaiware evacuation. It's these little details that are great. I took a sip of the soup. Incredibly delicious. Just like the soy sauce ramen, it perfectly combines sweetness, bitterness, acidity, saltiness, umami, and aroma, while also providing that satisfying feeling of eating ramen on an empty stomach. The famous chashu pork was also present, hidden underneath the kaiware, and bits of it were scattered throughout to be enjoyed with the noodles and bean sprouts. I ate the dry curry mixed rice, savored the soup, ate the noodles and bean sprouts, enjoyed the chashu, savored the soup again, ate the chashu, savored the soup again... and repeated until there was no soup left. Suddenly, I saw a document posted apologizing for the price increase. It mentioned that it's becoming difficult to continue operation due to rising costs, hence the necessity of the price increase, and it even mentioned contemplating closing down, which startled me. Please, I hope they don't actually think about closing down. Even with the price increase, I'll continue to come here as much as possible, so I hope they don't shut down. Admittedly, 2,530 yen is quite high for a bowl of ramen. However, I believe that trying to find a meal with the same level of satisfaction as Shinami Sato's super spicy sesame ramen would likely cost even more in most cases. Considering that, I don't think the super spicy sesame ramen is expensive at all, and the soy sauce ramen, which you can eat for under 2,000 yen, is actually quite a bargain.

Before opening on Sunday at 11:46, 6 people were already waiting in line. We were seated for the second round at 12:21 and received our donburi soy sauce ramen at 12:27 for 1,760 yen. The ramen had a large piece of tender chashu with a strong presence. The soup had a unique flavor with various spices. The noodles were egg noodles, giving a chewy texture. Despite the relatively high price starting at 1,760 yen, it was a restaurant with excellent customer service. I had worked out in the morning, so it balanced out. Thank you for the meal! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I went to Kanna Bi looking for a refreshing ramen to enjoy on a hot day. I ordered the refreshing noodles, which were cold and refreshing. The ramen had a lot of toppings including kimchi, daikon kimchi, ham, menma, cucumber, mitsuba, and egg. The menma was thin and flavorful, and the kimchi added a nice touch of spiciness. The soup was refreshing but still had a rich umami flavor from the dashi, making it enjoyable to the last drop. The noodles were firm and had a good texture that paired well with the soup. The service was excellent, and they even offered a half onigiri to help me decide whether to order the curry rice. I'm glad I tried the refreshing noodles and I plan to go back before they stop serving them at the end of September.

We went with two people and ordered soy sauce and salt ramen, so we were able to try both. The huge chunks of chashu were tender and flavorful. However, it seemed like they were using pre-cooked cold chashu, as the soup underneath became lukewarm. The soy sauce ramen had a dark-colored, rich broth with plenty of toppings, while the salt ramen had a slightly rich soup. Overall, the flavors were on the intense side and satisfying, but considering the slightly high price, I rated accordingly.

"Shoyu Ramen" is a popular ramen restaurant located a little over a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Nippori Station. Despite multiple attempts, I finally managed to try their ramen as it was often sold out. First of all, the hospitality of the staff who served us was exceptional. Honestly, I was considering removing this place from my list if I got turned away again, but their hospitality completely won me over. The level of care here is comparable to other top ramen shops like "Koukaibou" in Monzen-Nakacho and "Menya Kisaragi" in Kiba. The default choices here are shoyu and salt, and this time I chose shoyu. Their ramen has a unique herbal flavor that can't be found elsewhere, and even without any toppings, it costs 1,760 yen, which is quite expensive given the current situation. The taste is refined and the shoyu soup has a sharp kick to it. When you slurp the noodles, the spices centered around star anise start to show their presence in both taste and aroma. This is a one-of-a-kind flavor and very delicious. Additionally, although I don't have a photo, I highly recommend trying their seasonal mixed rice ball, which is also full of heart and incredibly tasty. It ultimately depends on how you view the pricing, but for ramen enthusiasts, this is a must-visit place that offers a unique dining experience.

I used to go at night, but I felt like eating it again and revisited during lunchtime. The shop opened at 11:45, and when I arrived at 11:25, there were already three customers ahead of me. I entered the shop right when it opened and ordered soy sauce ramen (extra large) with a seasoned egg topping and a daily rice ball. The ramen was served in about 10 minutes. Just like the last time I had it, the extra large pork slices were very tender and delicious. The soup had a lingering umami taste, and the noodles were very tasty, made from egg. The person I was with had the salt ramen and said it was very delicious. The landlady's service was very polite, making it easy for women to feel comfortable coming in. The price is a bit high, around 2000 yen per bowl of ramen, but I think it's a shop worth trying at least once! (*^.^*)

I had soy sauce ramen. I had only seen the photos in reviews, but I was surprised to find two slices of char siu that were over 1 centimeter thick!! I couldn't tell from the photos, but there was another slice hidden underneath, and it was a type of char siu that I love, with the aroma of star anise and melting in your mouth. The soup was sweet with quite a bit of oil, making it a rich soy sauce soup, so the firm and slightly hard egg noodles matched well, making it very delicious. I was completely satisfied with this bowl. And the cold towel and cold water in chilled glasses that they provided, and the friendly and cheerful staff who served them at the right time! The generously spaced seating, and the attentive service to each and every customer, was truly impressive. It was the first time I had such a pleasant dining experience at a ramen shop! I would love to come back soon to try their salt ramen♡

I visited a ramen shop in Nishinippori around 13:10 on 8/6 (Sun). There was no line, and I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 1,760 yen. The noodles were excellent, the soup was delicious, and the chashu was outstanding. The area around Nishinippori is convenient with many train connections, but it feels like a residential neighborhood on the north side of the Yamanote Line. I walked a little and found a gem called Kanabina. The service was impeccable, with the staff bringing two towels and two glasses of water to keep our clothes clean. I ordered the soy sauce ramen, which was priced at a special level, but the description at the table justified it. The noodles were curly egg noodles, which looked ordinary in photos but were actually very tasty. The soup was slightly sweet at first, resembling noodle soup, but as I ate, I discovered various spice flavors, creating a complex and delicious taste similar to Hiroshima's soupless tantanmen. The chashu was the best I've ever had, incredibly delicious and perfectly complementing the ramen. Thank you for the feast.

I ordered salt ramen around 1pm on a hot day. Upon arrival, I was provided with a cold towel, cold water, and a blanket or towel for the air conditioning. The hospitality here is outstanding. Some people say this place is similar to Jiro-style ramen, but in my honest opinion, it is quite different. The complex flavors from various spices somehow come together in a gentle and delicious way. The meat is incredibly tender and just falls apart at the touch, soaking up the soup beautifully. Overall, I want to go back again. Maybe next time I'll try the soy sauce ramen, but the salt ramen was really delicious!笑

- Visited on Sunday before 6:30 pm. There was no line and the restaurant was not crowded. It took less than 5 minutes from ordering to getting the bowl of ramen. - Ordered the Shoyu Ramen (1760 yen). - The restaurant operates on an order-only basis. Review: This restaurant offers a unique type of Shoyu Ramen that is hard to find elsewhere. The soup has a clear soy sauce flavor, with a hint of sweetness. I wonder if the sweetness comes from animal or vegetable ingredients, or from the soy sauce itself. Despite its hearty appearance, the soup has a gentle taste that makes you want to keep drinking it. The soup is so distinctive that I can't think of any other place with a similar type of soup. The noodles are medium-thick, short egg noodles that are easy to slurp. The slightly firm texture is just to my liking. It's been a while since I've had this type of noodles. The highlight of this ramen is the impressively tender chashu pork. It is so tender that it falls apart with a simple touch, and the unique flavor of star anise seasoning is very delicious. Among all the chashu I've tried, this one left a strong impression on me. Lastly, I must mention the wonderful customer service at this restaurant. They provided multiple glasses of water from the beginning, promptly replaced them when they ran out, and even provided a fresh towel. When I complimented the delicious ramen at the cashier, they were genuinely happy and even relayed the message to the head chef. The head chef was also very friendly and greeted me with a smile. I have tried various types of ramen, but this particular bowl left a lasting impression on me due to its uniqueness. The restaurant had a notice suggesting the possibility of closure, but I sincerely hope they continue operating. I will definitely return to try the chashu ramen and support this restaurant.

Established in 1999, this renowned ramen shop has been awarded as one of the top 100 ramen shops by Tabelog for 6 consecutive years. The "Shoyu Ramen" I ordered this time is a unique bowl with a rich and flavorful soy sauce base, featuring a deep umami from seafood and animal broth, with a hint of herbal aroma lingering in the aftertaste. The slightly yellowish translucent medium-thin noodles have a distinct chewy texture that is satisfying to bite into. The huge chashu topping, resembling Mount Everest, is surprisingly tender and melts in your mouth with a delicate and refined flavor. As anticipated, the ramen was delicious. The impeccable service from the proprietress is equally impressive. From the moment you step into the shop, you can feel the exceptional hospitality and you'll instantly recognize this as a great establishment. Despite the high price starting from 1760 yen per bowl, being able to enjoy such delicious ramen with outstanding service justifies the cost. Don't be put off by the price tag, if you're a ramen enthusiast, I highly recommend giving it a try at least once!

On a hot day, I went to "Kanabito" because I wanted to eat cold noodles. As always, the seat was set for 2 people but I sat comfortably alone. I ordered the refreshing "Ryomen" cold noodles. The soup was light with a nice acidity and sesame flavor, everything was pleasant. The noodles were thin with a good texture, and the ingredients were meticulously prepared, making them delicious. The sweet tamagoyaki egg was like one from a sushi restaurant, adding a nice touch. It was a delicious ramen, I hope they offer it not only in the summer but also in the fall and winter. I will definitely go again. Thank you for the meal.

The "Shinmyobi" Shio Ramen is a uniquely flavorful bowl with a pleasant blend of medicinal and ethnic aromas. The soup combines pork, chicken, kelp, bonito, aromatic vegetables, and shiitake mushrooms, creating a rich and complex umami without any additives. The medium-thick egg noodles evoke nostalgia for traditional Chinese soba, perfectly complementing the delicate soup. The palm-sized chashu, despite its thickness, surprises with its incredible tenderness, while the spice-infused aroma and taste make it truly exceptional. Despite the appearance of a typical junk food ramen, the refined and profound soup, along with the top-notch chashu, defy expectations. The Shinmyobi Shio Ramen at Nishinippori's "Shinmyobi" is a must-try with its unique character and deep flavors that will leave a lasting impression. Thank you for the meal! 🍜

I thought it was expensive, but the taste was delicious! I intended to go to a restaurant that I heard had delicious fried rice, but I couldn't remember the name and ended up coming to the wrong place, haha. But it was delicious. The staff were all cheerful and nice, and I was able to eat my ramen comfortably without feeling cramped. They don't serve char siu noodles now, but even the regular ramen has a good amount of meat, I think. Adding a flavored egg costs around 200 yen, but if I'm nearby, I would probably eat here again. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I had some errands in Tokyo. I had something to do in the northern part of the Yamanote Line, so I decided to explore this area as well. I went to Shinaboso. The reviews beforehand mentioned that it was "expensive," "really delicious," and "the service is amazing." I was curious to see for myself. I arrived just before closing, and I seemed to be the last customer. There were about four groups waiting ahead of me. It seems they have reduced the number of seats since the pandemic. I ordered the soy sauce Chashu-men, with extra noodles. The total price was around 2,700 yen! Wow! Quite a luxurious price tag! I had heard about it before, but I wondered if it was really worth that much... From the moment I entered the restaurant, the hostess provided very polite service, which is not something you see often. My bowl arrived in about 5 minutes, quite fast. The soup had a mix of animal-based umami and seafood flavors. It also had a hint of sweetness. At first, I thought it was a traditional ramen, but the soup had a unique touch of modernity as well. The condiments included fried leeks and other unusual toppings. It was indeed delicious. The noodles were medium thickness and had a nice firm texture. They balanced well with the soup, and the quality was high. The toppings included Chashu pork and bean sprouts, among others. The highlight was the Chashu pork. It was quite pricey at an additional 800 yen, but the portion was generous. The distinctive aroma seemed to be of star anise. It had a wonderful fragrance. The tenderness, aroma, and flavor of the Chashu were excellent. If they offered a half portion for 400 yen, it would be even better, but among the hundreds of ramen shops I've visited, this Chashu was of top quality. As expected, the service from the hostess was exceptional. Not just her, but the chef also provided great service. This aspect also ranked quite high among all the eateries I've been to. I see... I can definitely understand now. It may be difficult to visit frequently, but if you're in the mood for a luxurious ramen experience once in a while, this place is perfect!

2023.7.1 Kamunabi◎Chashumen Soy Sauce + Seasonal Onigiri with Tomato Rice (Shoyu + Nitamago + Tomato Rice) ¥2915 ($2530 + $165 + $220) Payment after meal. The first half of the year is here, and I celebrated with a visit to the polite and attentive Kamunabi. It's been a while since I could visit due to temporary closures. While this restaurant is a bit pricier than normal, I always end up ordering the Chashumen, which costs over ¥2500. Although the summer limited chilled noodles caught my attention, I stuck to my original plan. The sweet soy sauce broth paired with yellow, thin curly noodles was delightful. Despite the abundance of chashu and bean sprouts, it was challenging to reach the noodles. Toppings included bean sprouts, green onions, and fried onions, with an extra seasoned egg. The chashu slices were generously sized and made from pork shoulder loin, which made it a satisfying meal. The seasonal onigiri, made with tomato rice without ketchup, was intricately shaped with carrot hearts. Thank you for the delicious meal! #Ramen #Tsukemen #Kamunabi #RamenMemories #Noodlestagram #BunkyoTokyo #ExperimentalNoodles #ChashuLover

I had been hearing that this restaurant is quite expensive for ramen, but it is supposed to be delicious. When I finally visited, I never expected a normal bowl of ramen to cost over 1500 yen... But after trying it, I was completely satisfied. Despite its appearance similar to Jiro-style ramen, the soy sauce-based soup has a gentle flavor. The fried onions add a nice touch, keeping it from getting boring. The chashu is tender and unique. The generous portion of chashu justifies the price. The service was incredibly fast and friendly, which was a bit intimidating. I want to try the hot and sour soup noodles next time...

This is a ramen shop located on Funabashi Street, about a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Nippori Station. When I visited for lunch on a holiday, there were two people waiting inside, so I waited behind them. After a while, I was guided to a counter seat. There is no ticket machine, so you place your order verbally and pay after your meal. Despite the post-pandemic situation, the waiting area and seating are being used alternately, and acrylic sheets are installed at the cash register. The awareness of COVID-19 measures is very high in this restaurant. The interior is managed by the owner and presumably his wife. The wife's customer service is very polite and wonderful. She is busy but not rushing around. She brings water refills during the meal, and gives a warm towel after finishing your meal. The soy sauce ramen costs ¥1,760 and comes with two types of chashu. It is relatively expensive for ramen, nearly doubling the price of a standard shop. However, I believe this price is appropriate because the taste of the ramen and the hospitality at this shop are worth it. It was so delicious that I want to go back next time to try the salt ramen.

Soy sauce ramen for 1,760 yen (including 160 yen tax) - I couldn't believe the price! The pricing is quite bold, but there are still customers in the restaurant. I didn't have to wait in line to get in. It was before 1 pm. The spacious interior is a nice touch. The waitress who took our order was extremely kind. It was a delightful experience.

The customer service was so pleasant that I felt like double-checking if it was actually a ramen shop. The handwritten menu board and cozy atmosphere made it a comfortable place to dine. I chose the salt ramen without hesitation and was delighted to have something other than a light salt flavor for a change. The chashu was amazing!

I wanted to eat delicious ramen, so I went to Kanabito. Last time, I had the soy sauce ramen, which was really tasty, but this time I tried the spicy ramen called the Goma no Sanramen. First of all, the presentation is impressive. It's convenient that they provide individual bowls for easy eating! The vegetables are crunchy and delicious. The soup is not too spicy, so it's easy to eat. There are chunks of chashu in it, which adds a beef stew-like flavor. I was impressed by how they achieved this taste without using any chemical seasonings. Thank you for the meal!
