This is the second time I've visited Usui this year, and even though it was a short visit, I ate a lot! I had a lot of nigiri, so I'll add some photos for you to see. Usui's nigiri is beautiful!
In March 2011, this was my first visit since the beginning of the year. I had been meaning to visit for a while, and finally got the chance to go. Sushi En has now become Sushi Usui. I had been informed about the change by a friend at the beginning of the year, and I finally made it there! The sign and everything else has been changed to Usui, and I have high hopes that the restaurant will become even more Usui-like in the future. I look forward to continuing my relationship with this restaurant! I'll add the photos later.
In the past, I started going to En Aoyama in Omotesando, and now I come here to Aoyama. The restaurant has around 10 seats, and the proximity to the owner, Usui-san, makes the experience not only about the taste, but also about the atmosphere and most importantly, the high level of emotional satisfaction. The Aoyama branch, which will be 9 years old in January, has the same atmosphere as it did back then. I visited after 2 years, and I had a very pleasant experience this time as well. I'm not sure how many times I've been there in the past, but regardless, it's my favorite sushi restaurant in Tokyo (although I don't know many others). I love shrimp, so they always serve me plenty of shrimp without me even asking, and it's delicious. And if I run out, they even bring some from Omotesando, haha. There are so many different types of sushi that I could talk about, but in my case, I have overcome many things I used to dislike thanks to this restaurant. I trust Usui-san, so I'm always willing to try whatever he recommends. And now, things I used to dislike have become my favorites, all thanks to "En". I always look forward to the silly conversations I have with Usui-san.
