On a certain weekday night, while wandering around Manseibashi in Akihabara with a friend, we decided to dine here after receiving a 20% off coupon. Upon reaching the 8th floor of the building, we entered a spacious restaurant. We requested a non-smoking area and were seated in a room with several table seats. We could call the staff using a buzzer or order using a touch panel, which was a hybrid system. Cheers! The restaurant offers fish that are not commonly found in Tokyo, which adds to the experience. Pork bowl with free extra serving and unlimited miso soup for 930 yen. The amount of pork is a bit small and feels lonely. Comes with mentaiko and pickles, plenty of side dishes for the rice. The tea cup is heavy and small, would be nice to have a bigger and lighter one. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and makes you want to come for a drink at night.

A good izakaya is one that also excels in lunch options. While there may be other choices for tourists visiting Akihabara, for salarymen working in the area, nothing beats the calming set lunch menu at an izakaya. In a neighborhood that is becoming more and more touristy with extreme menus, being able to enjoy the classic Diamond set lunch is truly a blessing. I still had a place to eat. I went to have dinner. They served appetizers too. The food tasted good. The squid somen was tastier than I expected, especially with the wasabi. The cream cheese and mentaiko (fish roe) dish also had wasabi, which I like. The cream croquette was not too creamy inside. The miso ramen had plenty of corn but lacked a bit in flavor. I wonder what it was missing.

I made a net reservation for 18:00 on a regular day and visited a Hokkaido-themed izakaya located about a 2-minute walk from JR Akihabara Station on the 8th floor of Tomorrow Building. The restaurant has a total of 230 seats and is managed by 4 hall staff members in a dimly lit interior. I ordered using a multilingual touchpad in four languages and had the following dishes: - Appetizer: 450 yen (△) - Cold lotus root, carrot, and soybean salad - Salted kombu salad: 690 yen (○) - Salad with Lauship salt dressing - Squid sashimi on crushed ice: 790 yen (○) - Served with a sauce made with kombu from Kushiro and squid innards - Spicy miso whelk: 530 yen (◎) - Korean-style dish made with doubanjiang, crispy and spicy - Homemade potato mochi: 690 yen (◎) - Hot and chewy mochi served with a delicious sauce of ketchup and butter - Crab shell fried rice: 530 yen (◎) - A specialty dish with crab on burnt rice, complemented by daikon and green onion - Jingisukan: 1490 yen (◎) - Spicy and unique flavored dish with lamb, pumpkin, cabbage, leeks, potatoes, and onions - Super Dry beer (medium bottle): 630 yen (○) The background music was easy listening, the clientele consisted mostly of business people, and the restaurant was about 30% full with a female ratio of about 20%. At the time of my visit, the restaurant had a Tabelog rating of 3.06. The restaurant is operated by Colowide, which actively engages in M&A activities, having acquired "Kappa Sushi" and "Atom". As a shareholder of Colowide, you can also enjoy the shareholder benefits, making it a convenient group for those aspiring to be a shareholder benefits king like Mr. Kirita. By the way, becoming a shareholder of Colowide entitles you to receive 10,000 yen worth of usage points four times a year. (At the time of posting, 1,468 yen X 500 shares = 734,000 yen) So, the hidden title of this review is "Aim to be the Shareholder Benefits King, Mr. Kirita, at Akihabara". Thank you for the meal!

First of all, take a look at the sashimi! It was served in a messy way! And then, next to the plate of yakitori, there was some kind of spicy miso sauce? I don't know, but it was a disaster when it was brought to the table! They should have plated it more nicely! At least!!! It wasn't very delicious and it was expensive, so I won't be going back. I feel like I was deceived by the name "Hokkaido". The restaurant was spacious and that was good.

Genghis Khan was delicious when eaten with cold potatoes topped with butter and salted cod roe. I won't order sea urchin again, maybe because the expectations from its name were too high. The extra spicy Japanese sake was delicious.

I met up with a friend after a long time in Akihabara and we had made a reservation at a trendy restaurant there! Reservations are really convenient, haha. We decided to go with à la carte instead of a course. The snow-aged lamb chops and grilled sirloin were really delicious!

I visited Hokkaido no Aji Kikou to Jizake, where you can enjoy the flavors of Hokkaido. I had salt-grilled hokke, snow crab, octopus and salmon roe salad, and salmon roe bowl, among other delicious Hokkaido foods. This restaurant is perfect for those who love seafood, as they offer a wide variety of dishes featuring fish. They also have a great selection of shochu and sake to complement the meal, so be careful not to drink too much. From hot pot dishes to sashimi, they serve a wide range of seafood dishes. I highly recommend trying this place for yourself.

It was just before 12 o'clock, and there was only one group of customers already seated. The restaurant was spacious, so I guess I was the first one to arrive. Today's daily lunch special was a hamburger plate with plenty of vegetables and a normal-sized hamburger with a Japanese-style sauce. You can choose between a normal portion of rice or a large portion. I chose the normal portion, but my companion ordered the large portion, and as a result, a huge mountain of rice was served, like something out of a Japanese folktale. If you can handle it, I recommend trying the large portion.

I came to "Ima no Ajiki" for lunch and tried the Hokkaido seafood bowl for 980 yen. The contents vary each time, sometimes with fresh octopus or salmon. The salmon was delicious with thick slices and a nice texture. We enjoyed it with wasabi mixed in soy sauce. My friend had the pork ginger stir-fry set for 780 yen, which comes with mayonnaise. Both dishes come with miso soup and rice that can be refilled. The side dishes also change daily, fitting the Hokkaido theme with delicious seafood. I'm curious about trying the grilled fish set next time.

This is the kind of restaurant where we always have our dinner parties when we go out with friends in Akihabara. We tend to drink and eat as much as we want, so our bill ends up being quite high, but we always leave satisfied and wanting to come back. One of the main reasons is that the food is delicious. This time, I tried "Hokke sashimi" for the first time. I always order grilled Hokke, but this time I found "Hokke sashimi." I knew you could eat Hokke sashimi, but it was my first time trying it. I quickly ordered it, and when it arrived, we were so excited to take photos of it. Unlike grilled Hokke, this was light and oily, making it so easy to eat. I always leave this restaurant satisfied, and this time was no exception. I just wish the cost performance was a little better.

Located just a 2-3 minute walk from Akihabara Station, this restaurant is on the 8th floor of an izakaya building at the intersection of Chuo Street. Despite the crowded shops near the station, I managed to find a spot here. The restaurant was about 90% full, with both private rooms and an open floor layout. It can get quite noisy when it's full. I tried the yellowtail sashimi, whole lettuce with salted kelp salad, cloud dragon tempura, cod milt with ponzu sauce, and Ishikari hot pot. Everything was delicious, but the hot pot was the standout dish. It had large salmon slices and butter in a light broth.

We were thinking about where to go for the second round of drinks with friends, and ended up deciding on Akihabara. We were attracted by the "all-you-can-drink (\980)" deal at this place we found. We arrived at around 2 am on a Sunday. There were 3 groups of customers already there. As we got off the elevator, we were greeted by a large wooden bear statue. The place had a stylish and luxurious atmosphere, and we couldn't help but think how different Akihabara has become. We liked the potato dish, which was sweet and fluffy, just as you would expect from Hokkaido. However, the prices for individual dishes were normal, and the overall portion size was a bit disappointing. Despite being a regular izakaya chain, the prices were great for a leisurely time until the first train. It might be a hidden gem for spending a relaxing time with friends, rather than going to a family restaurant or karaoke. - "Tokachi Edamame (\504)": The amount for this price!? The taste was good, but it was disappointing. - "Potato Fry (\399)": Bite-sized potato fries. They looked a bit burnt, but were fluffy, sweet, and delicious. - "Sapporo Ham Factory Barnaba Sausage Assortment (\714)": 4 long sausages. They were firm and tasted good. - "Hokkaido Pickles (\504)": Pickled vegetables with cabbage, squid, and salmon. A slightly peculiar, light pickled dish with some white residue, possibly from rice bran.

Until around 2007, I used to walk around Akihabara and go to this place where you could eat all you want for under 1000 yen. It included unlimited rice, miso soup, flavored seaweed, and soft drinks. However, the flavored seaweed was often sticky, the miso soup ingredients never changed, and the daily side dishes were not very impressive. The rice and miso soup were kept warm in a pot, so you could go back for refills as much as you wanted. Soft drinks are no longer free, but back then they only had coffee, tea, oolong tea, orange juice, pineapple juice, and milk. I used to enjoy the daily specials like grilled fish.
