Seasonal Tart (Hassaku) 453 yen Whole Wheat Bread (half loaf) 194 yen On a Sunday, I arrived a little before the opening time of 8:30 am to a bakery located next to a kindergarten. There were already about 10 people waiting in line outside the building. As soon as the store opened, the calling of customers began. Inside the store, about half the customers were eating in, while the other half were taking their purchases to go. There was a narrow aisle leading to the seating area within the store, and customers who wanted to eat in had to pass through the takeout line before being guided to the back of the store. I wanted to have a leisurely morning inside the bakery, but I had other plans so I decided to get my order to go. As I waited in line, I peeked into the showcase to choose the bread I wanted to buy. The ordering style was to tell the staff what you wanted and they would get the bread for you. Seasonal Tart (Hassaku): The sign stated, "Tart crust with almond cream topped with seasonal fruits!!" The crust was crisp and had a very satisfying texture. The top was generously covered with Hassaku fruit and pistachios. The inside was soft and tasted like almond cream, which had a flavorful and smooth texture that almost resembled minced meat. The tartness of the Hassaku fruit combined with a hint of sweetness created an exquisite flavor. The size was about the size of a sliced orange, a bit on the small side. It was delicious and recommended, but a bit pricey. Whole Wheat Bread: The sign said, "Soft and fluffy wheat bread. Made with brown sugar, milk, and butter. Even under 1 loaf is OK!" So, I ordered 0.5 loaf. The slices were cut at 6 slices thick, and I bought 3 slices. Although I didn't confirm, most likely, you could also buy just 1 slice cleanly cut. The bread was freshly baked and exuded warmth from the bag. It had a crispy crust, extremely soft and fluffy inside. It didn't have the typical taste of whole wheat bread and was incredibly delicious. I couldn't stop eating and ended up finishing all 3 slices in one go. Luckily, I only bought 3 slices, so I didn't overeat (laughs).

Raisin yeast French bread with cashews and black pepper (half baked) I couldn't figure out the entrance, so I went down the ramp on the left and entered through the door. I wonder if it's correct to enter the automatic door at the kindergarten and go down to the left??? I want to try it at the store next time ♡

I went for takeout at a branch of a bakery that belongs to the Kazuhara area, while Small Bamboo dined in at the original one. I paid with Suica for a Rustic bread priced at 230 yen and a Petit Bread at 120 yen. The Rustic bread was a solid and tangy meal bread. The Petit Bread was soft and fluffy. Simple bread can be just as good.

This place offers both eating in and takeout options, but it was crowded on the weekend so I opted for takeout. They have a variety of breads that are dark, chewy, and have a strong yeast flavor typical of German bread. I purchased the following: Seasonal vegetable focaccia, Bacon epi, Walnut and fig bread, and Walnut, blue cheese, and honey bread. Each item was around 300 yen, totaling just under 1,500 yen. They were all delicious, but the standout bread for me was the Walnut, blue cheese, and honey bread! The aroma of the blue cheese was incredibly strong. When I lightly warmed it up, the kitchen was filled with the smell of blue cheese! The wheat in the dough also had a wild scent, spreading through the nostrils. Drizzling honey on top and enjoying it was a must. This bread is meant to be paired with wine, whether white or red. If this place were in my neighborhood, I would buy bread here every weekend and enjoy it with wine, creating a luxurious and relaxing time. I think it's a wonderful shop that elevates the quality of life in the community.

This is a recommended bakery for those who like hard bread. There is also a cafe attached. The cafe always seems to have a wait. This time, I purchased a edamame quiche and a honey and blue cheese bread. The quiche had a lot of edamame and was very delicious. The honey and blue cheese bread was hard and quite to my liking.

I went to a bakery that opens early in the morning and they kindly allowed me to eat in, even though they only served drinks. It was heartwarming to see parents dropping off their children at the nearby nursery or kindergarten. The bakery smelled amazing! I bought various items to take home and enjoyed them with my children. The rhubarb tart was crumbly and we had the hard bread with some wine.

Arrived at 10:40 on a regular day and the restaurant was full, but managed to get a seat without waiting. No wait for takeout. The bread is baked at the main store in Ekoda, so even if they are sold out here, there may be some left at the main store. - Inside the restaurant - * One drink minimum. - Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Quiche Set (3 pieces of bread, salad, drink included) 1375 yen Served about 10 minutes after ordering. The Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Quiche is a repeat order. The large quiche, about twice the size of other places, has a silky smooth texture like pudding, with a rich and creamy taste of the ricotta cheese, plenty of spinach, and small tomatoes. The bottom crust is so crunchy and crispy that it's difficult to cut with a knife, but very tasty. It's quite substantial, but the variety of ingredients keeps it from getting boring. I usually don't like quiche because the crust is too soggy or the egg is too hard, but I love the quiche here and will definitely eat it again. The 3 pieces of bread are: - Focaccia ☆ 3.4 The crust is very crunchy, providing a good chew, while the inside is moist and chewy. It's a bit sticky to the touch when held, but not greasy. The aroma of rosemary, which is kneaded in, spreads out. The more you chew, the more you can feel the savory flavor and saltiness, making it delicious. - Wheat Sourdough French Bread ☆ 3.4 It has a tart flavor and is quite sour. The crust is like the focaccia, crunchy and with a good chew, while the inside is moist and chewy, and delicious even without any additional toppings. They were sold out for takeout when I tried to buy some on the way back. - Whole Wheat Walnut Bread ☆ 3.4 The brown dough with walnut pieces gives a crisp feeling, and the inside is not as moist as the Wheat Sourdough French Bread but still chewy. It has a delicious nutty and toasty flavor. The salad consists of lettuce and mizuna with a simple dressing of olive oil, lemon, and salt. - Takeout items - - Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Quiche 648 yen ☆ 4.0 Purchased as a souvenir. - Country Bread 442 yen ☆ 3.4 When toasted, the crust is crispy with a slight charred taste, and there is a strong aroma, although not as much as the Wheat Sourdough French Bread. The inside is surprisingly moist and easy to eat. By the time I left the restaurant at around 11:30, most of the seats were empty, so this time may be a good choice for dining in. There were several items sold out, so it's recommended to buy the takeout items first. (Sold out) - Wheat Sourdough French Bread 453 yen - Seasonal Tart (Plum) 453 yen I found the tart at the Ekoda location so I bought it separately.

I lined up as soon as the store opened on Sunday. I was able to get in right away, but it quickly became full. I ordered the spinach and ricotta quiche (about 650 yen), the roast pork sandwich set (1452 yen), and a set drink [homemade brown sugar ginger ale] (+198 yen). I chose the Shonan wheat campagne bread. It was very delicious. The quiche was soft, with a nice crispy crust, the sweetness of the cheese and eggs, and a little bitterness from the spinach. The roast pork sandwich had tender meat and a refreshing balsamic vinegar-based sauce that made it easy to eat. The bread was also delicious. The campagne bread had a unique texture, more stretchy than chewy or hard. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Parlor Ekoda's hagigit. I didn't have many opportunities to come around here, so I was thinking of getting it with Ekoda-san, but it seems like I won't understand the goodness unless I use it in a cafe rather than takeout. So I got it for tomorrow's breakfast. - Whole wheat bread This is good on its own. A fluffy, chewy, sweet bread. This is wonderful! - Focaccia It seems they kneaded potatoes into the dough. Really, I can't tell, but it's delicious. I enjoyed it by sandwiching it with ingredients at home. Repeat confirmed.

We went for a morning walk to the local bakery with my partner, even though it was too hot. We arrived sweating, but we bought quiche, bacon epi, and tart. The quiche was juicy, the bacon epi was chewy, and the tart was crispy. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Chi-Take Yarama Lunch, it's a secret why I'm here lol. First I searched on Tabelog and went to Machi no Parlor. There was no waiting board, so if you have to wait, make sure to inform the staff! Since there were about 8 groups waiting, I told the staff that I was waiting alone and was able to enter about 1 hour and 30 minutes later. Once seated, I chugged down the cold water lol and then ordered the Roast Pork Sandwich Set (1320 yen) with Campanile and Iced Milk Tea, and also a Salsiccia (one piece) for 630 yen. They were served in about 10 minutes. The Roast Pork Sandwich had a choice of 12 types of bread, and I chose the Campanile. The roast pork had a perfect salty flavor, was tender with delicious fat, and paired well with the tomato umami and sauce on the crispy Campanile. The Salsiccia had a crispy skin, and when you cut it, the juice came out! It had a unique flavor with a slight acidity, and was a meaty sausage to savor and enjoy the flavor. It was delicious even when it cooled down. I visited for lunch this time, but I'd like to visit for dinner if I have the chance... Thank you for the meal.

I finally visited a bakery that I had been curious about. It's a sister store of the famous bakery known for its hard bread, Parlor Ekoda. I went on a Saturday around 11 am and had to wait for about 20 minutes before getting in. The sandwich bread is customizable, making it a paradise for bread lovers! I'm not very familiar with the types of bread, so I chose based on my gut feeling, and it turned out to be a great choice. I had: - Fresh tomato and pecorino cheese sandwich set - with whole grain walnut bread - Pork rillettes sandwich set - with country bread The whole grain walnut bread was softer compared to the other bread at this store, with a fragrant nuttiness from the walnuts. The roasted sweetness of the tomatoes was delicious and just to my liking. My husband enjoyed the pork rillettes sandwich as well, it was flavorful yet refreshing. The wood-themed interior of the store creates a lovely and calming atmosphere. I look forward to trying their quiche next time!

-Bacon Epi 320 yen Yummy bacon! The bacon flavor is strong! The outside is crispy and the inside of the bread is chewy and delicious. -Seasonal Quiche (Chicken and Burdock) 600 yen It has plenty of burdock and tastes delicious! It has a rich flavor compared to focaccia, and the chicken is also tasty. -Potato and Rosemary Focaccia 340 yen Nice aroma of rosemary. It looks voluminous with plenty of potatoes, but it's lightly seasoned so it's easy to eat.

Small Bamboo has been coming to Hara Station regularly, but the exit is always on the opposite side, so she hasn't had the opportunity until today. She had the restaurant in mind since it was featured on TV for years ago. She finally made her first visit today, but the cafe was crowded and she had other plans, so she had to give up on dining there. It's one of the top 100 bread shops, so she just went shopping instead. The products available were limited around 3 PM, mostly consisting of hard bread. She bought a walnut and fig compote and a cheese rustic bread. The fig and walnut bread was delicious with plenty of ingredients. However, she likes hard bread in general, but the acidity was quite strong, and the burnt flavor from the crust was disappointing. Next time, she wants to try something different when she goes back. Thank you for the meal.

Visit at 10:06 on June 18, 2023. Compared to the sister store Parlour Ekoda, this location had a brighter and more welcoming atmosphere, but there was a wait of over 10 people for indoor dining. I decided to give up on dining in and opted for takeout, purchasing a Bacon Epi. While this location may have a more inviting atmosphere, I found myself still wanting to visit Parlour Ekoda for the ambiance and staff demeanor.

Walnut and fig compre for 367 yen, Frutta for 367 yen. The combination of the deliciousness of fruits and nuts with a moist and fluffy bread dough is the best at this bakery. The compre dough is filled with plenty of white wine-soaked figs. Frutta is packed with dried cranberries, blueberries, cashews, and pistachios. Both were quite delicious. I noticed that they had some new tart options when I left, so I'm curious to try those next time. Thank you for the meal.

I received a set of Tripper's tomato stew. The well-cooked offal is soft and the rich umami flavor perfectly blends with the acidity of the tomatoes, creating an authentic stew that you wouldn't expect from a bread shop. It pairs perfectly with the peppery baguette. The blood orange juice tastes freshly squeezed, with a natural sweetness and strong acidity, making it a healthy and refreshing drink. The shop is popular among locals and there is often a line even in the early hours, so it can be difficult to find a time to dine in leisure. However, they also serve dinner, so hopefully I can visit someday.

This time, I visited a bakery called "Machi no Parlor" in Koyamadaira, which appeared in episode 9 of Season 3 of "The Lonely Gourmet." I had wanted to visit this place for some time, and when I found out that I could easily get there by bus, I thought, "Why not go for it!" --Meals I had today-- - Salsiccia x 2 - Pork rillettes sandwich - Ham sandwich - Prince melon gelato - Biscotti Set order: - Drink: Honey milk, Wine (additional charge) - Salad x 2 Total: around 5,500 yen Per person: 2,750 yen Other information: - Date and time of visit: Weekday, 14:00 - Inside the store: Almost full - Waitlist: None - Waiting time: None - Set orders come with salad and drink - Alcohol costs extra - Salsiccia can also be ordered as a single item The staff warmly welcomed me as soon as I entered, making it a fantastic place where you can feel energized just by stepping in. The variety of bread is vast, just like the character Goro was bewildered in the show. I recommend asking the staff for their recommendations to narrow down the types of bread before ordering. The portions are actually quite generous, so if you're like me and associate café food with small portions, you might be overwhelmed by the Salsiccia. So, I would recommend sticking to one piece. Overall, the food was delicious, the staff was fantastic, and it was a lovely experience. Thank you for the delicious sandwiches and sausages! I will definitely visit again.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday at 12:30 and had to wait for about 40 minutes as the 5th group in line. It was my first visit in several years, but there were no major menu changes. I ordered salsiccia, bread, and an iced caffe latte. The atmosphere, food, and hard-style bread were all excellent as always. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant around 11:50 on Monday. There were about 3 groups waiting. The interior had about 5 or 6 tables, so it took about 30 minutes to get seated due to the small space and the nature of being a cafe. The turnover seemed to be not very fast. I ordered a roast pork sandwich and a pecorino sandwich. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be served. This place mainly serves hard bread sandwiches, which are quite filling. I would recommend it to those who enjoy hard bread, but it may not be suitable for those who don't. The roast pork was moist and juicy, while the pecorino sandwich had a refreshing taste with a hint of tomato acidity. If you're in a hurry for lunch, it might be better to choose another restaurant.
