This king's dumplings have an addictive quality that makes you crave them uncontrollably. The crispy skin, vegetable-filled moist filling, and fragrant chili oil create a powerful attraction. I want to get hooked on a loop of these dumplings and beer. When I visit Asakusa, it has become a habit to start with dumplings and beer at this place. The small, crispy dumplings paired with ice-cold Sapporo Red Star are irresistible. Today, I also tried the fried rice. It has a C-cup-sized, slightly yellowish appearance with perfect seasoning. I feel like it would be even tastier if the fried rice was a bit more oily and crispy, or on the contrary, if the soup was a bit more abundant and moist. The soup is also delicious. There's no doubt that the ramen here is also delicious. When you come here, dumplings and Red Star are a must, so the excitement lies in deciding on the additional dish. Dumpling King is a place where you can enjoy this dilemma.

I think the fried rice is a bit expensive compared to other menu items. I wonder if the ordered dumplings are pan-fried. They seem to be a healthier type with less meat. The fried rice is quite ordinary, with a normal portion size. It's a good place, and having tourists visit is a big plus, as the media also gives it exposure. Personally, I felt it was more on the ordinary side rather than being delicious. As Asakusa has many Chinese restaurants, I hope visitors can enjoy a variety of options.

I started lining up around 12:00 on Sunday and got seated around 12:50. The dumplings were crispy and delicious! I've never had such a juicy filling before. It was just right for two women to share 12 King's Dumplings and fried rice.

I arrived around 5 o'clock and was lucky enough to get in right away (there was a decent line when I left the restaurant). King's Gyoza was quite different from any gyoza I've had before, with very finely chopped vegetables in the filling and almost no meat. The gyoza was deep-fried and crispy like fried dumplings, and very delicious. I also ordered meat gyoza as an addition, which was the complete opposite of King's Gyoza with almost all meat filling. It felt like a 100% vegetables or 100% meat extreme situation. I also ordered tantan-men and yakisoba (thick noodles), both of which were of high quality and delicious. The beer was also very tasty, with a well-maintained draft system. I personally believe that a restaurant with delicious draft beer is generally not a disappointment. This was a typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but it was a top-notch restaurant with no disappointments in drinks or food.

I visited for dinner on a Thursday around 5:30 pm. This restaurant, established in 1954, has been serving the same delicious dumplings recipe passed down from the previous generations. The third-generation owner makes the dumplings by hand every day. When I arrived, the place was already packed, and I was seated at a table on the second floor just in time. - King's Dumplings (490 yen tax included): These dumplings are made by wrapping the filling on the spot and then cooking them raw, following the traditional recipe that has not changed since the restaurant's founding. The dumplings are bite-sized, allowing you to enjoy the juicy filling and crispy texture of the unique sear. - Yakisoba (830 yen tax included): A simple yet delicious salt-flavored yakisoba with chewy thick noodles that bring out the umami of Chinese cuisine. It was a perfect snack to pair with beer, and the addictive taste will make you want more.

It had been about 5 years since I last visited this dumpling restaurant. The staff working there now seem to be completely different from the old days, as I didn't see any familiar faces. The menu also seemed to have gotten smaller. The attitude of the staff wasn't bad, but the atmosphere had completely changed.

During my business trip to Tokyo, I visited King's Gyoza for a quick meal. The vegetable gyoza and meat gyoza were delicious, as well as the yakisoba with thick noodles. The vegetable gyoza had a finely chopped vegetable filling which paired well with the crispy skin. The meat gyoza had a flavorful filling with a hint of ginger, similar to wonton filling. The yakisoba was my favorite, with chewy thick noodles and a satisfying amount of vegetables. I was considering ordering fried rice, but I'm glad I chose the yakisoba instead. I can see why the tantanmen is recommended. However, some people may find it a bit salty, so I recommend ordering half rice with it. Enjoy! ♡

I visited this restaurant with my family on a regular night. It is located on the right side after crossing Shinnakamise Street, walking from Kaminarimon Street to Asakusa Central Street. This was our second stop of the day. We found it while walking down Shinnakamise Street. As we entered, we were directed to the second floor after informing the staff of our party size. The first floor had counter seats and the kitchen. Upstairs, we were seated at a table for four right away and told to leave our belongings in a designated area. The staff seemed a bit disorganized, making comments like "Put your stuff over there" and "Sit further back so we can bring out your food." When I ordered a Sapporo Lager, the staff mistakenly brought a Red Star beer. Despite this, the Sapporo Lager was good. We also ordered bottled oolong tea, boiled dumplings, "King" dumplings, and yakisoba with thick noodles. The boiled dumplings were flavorful and had a nice texture, while the "King" dumplings were light and crispy, although not particularly remarkable. The yakisoba was disappointing, lacking heat and flavor. It seemed like it was missing a couple of seasoning elements. We paid on the first floor, and it was cash only. Overall, it felt like a casual spot for locals.

Friday evening. Today, I took the day off to watch a baseball game in the evening... Asakusa was bustling, but I arrived 15 minutes early and visited at the 4 p.m. opening. I had visited once before, but they were closed for renovations (tears) so this was my long-awaited first visit. I had a few highballs with Akahoshi, two types of grilled dumplings, century egg with chives and liver, and finally soup dumplings... Personally, I liked the meat dumplings the best. Thank you for the meal.

This is a famous restaurant for dumplings. The dumplings at Ousama no Gyoza are on the smaller side and almost seem to be mostly vegetables. I also tried ordering the not-so-popular Chinese rice bowl. Both dishes were delicious, especially when eaten while fanning with a uchiwa. Thank you for the meal.

I went there for the first time! I've always wanted to go! There was a line, but the turnover was good so the wait wasn't long! First, I had the raw gyoza and the King's gyoza! The King's gyoza had a nice vegetable flavor and garlic taste! It was fried gyoza, not grilled! Then, the meat gyoza was delicious with a strong garlic flavor! The Dragon Highball, made with Shaoxing wine, paired well with the dishes! I also had the spicy ramen, wonton ramen, and half-fried rice! The spicy ramen was the highlight! The saltiness and vegetables were amazing! I want to try the yakisoba and Tianjin rice bowl next time! I will definitely go back!

I visited a famous gyoza restaurant near the Nakamise shopping street in Asakusa. It was a Sunday night around 7 pm, and we were the fourth group in line. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were able to get a seat. The first floor had mainly counter seats, while the second floor had only table seats. There were groups of people enjoying drinks and having a good time. We ordered the following: - King's Gyoza 490 yen - Half Fried Rice 550 yen The King's Gyoza had a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. Although it looked slightly burnt, it wasn't and had a nice toasty flavor. It was packed with finely chopped vegetables, giving it a great texture. The Half Fried Rice came with a seaweed soup. It was moist rather than coated in oil, with a simple yet delicious taste. There were many other menu options besides gyoza, making it a great place for a quick bite. I'm satisfied that I finally got to try this place that I was curious about! (*˘︶˘*).。*♡

Hello, this is Gyoza King. Despite waiting in line for about 10 minutes under the scorching sun, we were seated at a table on the second floor, which was quite cramped. [Order] - Gyoza King Set - Gyoza Soup - Stir-fried leeks and liver - Fried gyoza The gyoza had a unique taste, almost like a mix of soup gyoza and leek and liver stir-fry. The gyoza soup came with 6 pieces and was quite filling. Surprisingly, the leeks and liver had no unpleasant smell and were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's so hot out here... but if you go to Asakusa, there are plenty of places to eat. So, I decided to get off at Asakusa (`・ω・´). When it's hot, you want something hot! I was about to give up after seeing the long lines, but then I found the popular restaurant "Gyoza no Ousama" with no one waiting. Lucky me! Once the table was ready, we were guided to the second floor seating. The restaurant was bustling with families, just as you would expect during summer vacation in Asakusa (*´▽`*). We placed our order right away. Personally, I consider their tantanmen to be one of the best in Tokyo, so tantanmen is a must (`・ω・´). And we also ordered two gyoza. While waiting, customers kept coming in and out, and the place was always packed! It was nice to be able to eat in a lively atmosphere. The gyoza arrived, with a unique small, round shape that seemed fried. I dipped it in vinegar soy sauce and took a bite. The crispy texture gave way to a soft filling centered around vegetables, and it was hot and delicious! (*´▽`*)♪ It felt more like a snack than a meal, which was enjoyable! The tantanmen arrived, steaming with plenty of vegetables. Let's dig in! It's piping hot, but so tasty! (*´▽`*)♪ Yes, this is the taste of tantanmen. Delicious, so good! I slurped it up and thought, yes, this is it!!! It's so delicious! The crunchy vegetables, soft noodles, and flavorful soup, everything was like "this, this!!!" Gyoza with rice would be perfect... but I think I might overeat, so I stopped (´∀`*)ウフフ I couldn't finish the soup, but I managed to finish the meal! I will definitely come back when I crave tantanmen and gyoza. Thanks for the meal! ===========

The atmosphere, menu, and prices are all very average for a typical local Chinese restaurant, but there may be some hidden charm that I haven't noticed. The noodles were similar to champon noodles and lacked chewiness, which was disappointing, but for some reason I found myself wanting to come back again. Located in Asakusa's Nakamise area, there may be a line depending on the time, so it's best to avoid meal times. The photo shows Gyoza, Gyoza Soup, Gyoza Tanmen, and Uma-ni Ramen. Thank you for the meal, I will visit again!

It was a popular restaurant with a long line. There was seating on the second floor as well, but it was narrow so you may have to wait depending on the number of people. The ramen was traditional and had a rich broth, very delicious. The gyoza was small and fried, crispy and delicious. I will definitely be coming back!

The specialty "Ousama Gyoza" has a crispy skin and a juicy filling made of leeks, garlic, and other vegetables. The fried rice is also delicious. Gyoza no Ousama in Asakusa. Ordered the king's gyoza and stir-fried leeks with liver. The gyoza had a crispy skin and a finely chopped filling, but the texture was not very appealing. Honestly, I didn't understand why it's so popular. The stir-fried leeks with liver had crunchy vegetables and good seasoning, and it was delicious.

Popular store selling gyoza. The first floor has only counter seats. Solo diners are mostly seated at the counter on the first floor. There is no designated place to put your belongings, but I was seated on the exit side of the counter, and was allowed to put my belongings next to the register. I ordered: - King's Gyoza - Half Fried Rice The "King's Gyoza" is deep-fried, so the surface is crispy. When I tried it, I found that it was mostly vegetables with hardly any meat. The vegetables were cut very finely, almost like they were put in a blender, so when I chewed, it felt fluffy. The "Half Fried Rice" comes with soup. The taste is mild. It contains eggs, naruto (fish cake), cucumber, and celery. Celery in fried rice is quite unusual. On the way out, they gave me a candy and said, "Please take this candy if you like."

I ordered King's dumplings, half fried rice, shrimp chili, and zasai. The dumplings were small but packed with vegetables. The shrimp chili had just the right amount of spiciness. The fried rice was moist but not mushy, with a strong flavor that was very satisfying. The staff were all friendly and provided excellent service. I will definitely be returning. ☺️☺️

I used to avoid going to the Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed nori (seaweed) shop because it was always incredibly crowded, but I haven't been there lately. Today, on my day off on a Monday, I decided to go to the gym first and then thought about getting some soba noodles on my way back home. However, as I was heading home, I passed by Gyoza no Oh-sama (Gyoza King) and noticed that it was not busy. So, I decided to go in. I ordered two servings of meat gyoza and a bottle of beer. I don't usually order regular gyoza, I prefer the meaty ones. The gyoza arrived, and it had a nice chewy and crispy texture. The meaty flavor was just right. It was a treat to see it again after a long time. I enjoyed the texture and flavor. Before I knew it, the place was packed again. I quickly finished my meal. It was delicious.
