Visited at 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2023. "Kagayaki" is a restaurant where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink high-quality yakiniku and shabu-shabu. While on a day trip for business in Chiba Prefecture, I received an urgent message from my beloved son #1 who was working remotely at home during the day saying, "I want to eat yakiniku tonight!" Being a doting father, I quickly searched on Tabelog for a delicious yakiniku restaurant. I discovered that "Kagayaki" was located about 2 kilometers from our home and was a hidden gem popular with locals. Fortunately, I was able to make a reservation for 2 people at 5:00 p.m. through Tabelog. After returning home, we walked 3 kilometers round trip as part of our rehabilitation and headed to the restaurant together. The restaurant was small, but had seating on the second floor as well. It seemed to be fully booked, with all seats set up when we arrived. The restaurant can accommodate up to about 6 groups at a time, and depending on the time, they may only serve one round of customers, with a maximum of about 10 groups per day. There were two courses available: the Standard All-You-Can-Eat Course with 2-hour all-you-can-drink for ¥7,000, and the Premium Selection Course without all-you-can-eat for ¥8,000, but the Standard Course seemed to be the most popular. We opted for the Standard All-You-Can-Eat Course for ¥7,000, which seemed quite expensive, but the quality was worth it. Unlike typical all-you-can-eat places where you eat desperately to get your money's worth, this all-you-can-eat experience allowed us to savor the delicious meat. The variety of meat and vegetables changed daily based on the day's ingredients, and they were automatically served to us. After the initial serving, you could request additional servings by the piece. However, the initial serving was quite generous, so we didn't need to reorder much. I forgot to take many photos, but there were cuts like shoulder loin, rice, and ramen for the finishing touch. The self-service all-you-can-drink included a variety of options like draft beer, sparkling wine, sours, highballs, and more. Since neither my son nor I drink much alcohol, we had about 3 drinks each before indulging in bottled cola. It was a relief to be able to eat without worrying about the price, considering that a visit to a slightly upscale yakiniku restaurant could easily cost around ¥7,000. It was a very satisfying all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink experience. Thank you for the delicious meal.
