Notes: A chicken yakiniku restaurant in Shibuya. Located a 5-minute walk from the Hikarie exit of Shibuya Station. Established in 1992. My friend from overseas came to visit, so we went to this restaurant. The food was very delicious, but during the time of COVID, we had to cook it ourselves. When we were talking and not paying attention, we ended up burning it a little. It tasted better when it was cooked for us. I want to get better at grilling chicken.

It was my second visit after a long time, and the taste was outstanding as always with great value for money. You can never get tired of eating chicken, right? What I love about this place is not just the taste, but also the cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff who make great suggestions. I happened to slip in for a second round on the same day this time, but I'd like to take my time and visit at a more leisurely pace next time.

Located a 7-minute walk from Shibuya Station. I've been wanting to go for a long time and finally made it! This is a restaurant where you can eat grilled chicken. I had been turned down a few times when I called a week or so in advance, so this time I made a reservation about 2 weeks in advance. Even on weekdays, it's very busy, so advance reservations are a must. When I made the reservation, I was told that the "omakase course is recommended for first-time visitors," so I reserved the omakase course. In addition to the course, I also ordered the samgyetang, which requires advance reservation. Omakase course included mozuku seaweed, salad, grilled chicken breast with leeks, grilled liver, grilled heart, grilled gizzard, grilled chicken tenderloin with mayonnaise, grilled chicken neck with sauce, grilled chicken thigh with herbs, tsukune, and samgyetang. The waitress was quick to cook the food, so I couldn't eat slowly and there were some items that I didn't know which part they were, but everything was delicious♡ The salad that comes out at the beginning is filled with chicken and eggs, giving it a satisfying texture. The different seasonings such as leek sauce, salt-grilled dishes, mayonnaise-coated dishes, basil-infused herb sauce, and sweet and savory sauce made the experience enjoyable! The tsukune is divided into portions for each person and rolled into a round shape on the grill like a hamburger. Once it has a nice sear, seaweed strips are placed on top, flipped over, and it's ready to eat! You can enjoy it with wasabi or lemon for a refreshing taste. The samgyetang was prepared right in front of us by the chef who shredded the chicken and finished seasoning it at the table, giving it a live cooking experience, which was fun. I especially liked the tender and fluffy grilled gizzard with mayo, the well-marinated chicken tenderloin, and the seared chicken neck soaked in sauce. I'd like to try the a la carte menu next time.

Visited around 19:00☺︎ Reservation is necessary as it is a popular restaurant. Instead of omakase, we ordered various dishes a la carte. Each dish looked great and tasted delicious♡ Those who prefer strong flavors will definitely enjoy this place. The dishes look amazing with plenty of mayo and green onions before being grilled. They will kindly explain the order and how to grill each dish. The staff are friendly and you can have a fun time there.

Located in Shibuya, this restaurant serves grilled chicken. I didn't have high expectations at first, but the food turned out to be delicious! Even the chicken breast, which I thought might be tough, was tender. It was fun to try different seasonings like basil and mayonnaise. The samgyetang (Korean chicken soup) at the end was surprisingly authentic. The overall flavor was rich, which I enjoyed. The quality of the meat is also good, so I recommend it to those who like bold flavors. I would love to come back for samgyetang when it gets colder. Thank you for the meal!

In Shibuya, there is a popular yakitori restaurant called Onitei, where it's difficult to make reservations. Unlike the typical image of yakitori on skewers, here you grill the meat yourself over charcoal. It had been 9 years since my last visit, but the restaurant was still very popular. The old Edo lady was no longer there, but a lively and energetic young woman was running the place. While there is a menu, if you ask for "omakase," they will bring out a selection of recommended dishes. Reservations are a must, and there is a time limit of 2 hours. The meat comes out quickly, and the empty plates are cleared just as fast. They strictly adhere to the 2-hour time limit, with last orders being taken around the 1-hour mark (laughs). It's not a place to leisurely dine, but the delicious yakitori makes it worth it. Highly recommended! (Only a few food photos are shown)

I visited with someone who loves chicken dishes. The restaurant was fun and entertaining, with dishes like chicken with mayonnaise or spicy seasoning. The food came out quickly, so it was a bit rushed to eat. I wish I could have enjoyed it more slowly.

I couldn't resist coming back because the food was so delicious. I added the spicy grilled chicken and chicken porridge to the omakase course. Even though I tried not to overdo it like last time, I ended up getting carried away again. We went with three people (1 man, 2 women) and we all ate so much that we felt like we were going to die, but we managed to finish everything. I love the tare-yaki, spicy grilled chicken, and herb-grilled dishes. The seasoning overall is strong, so the alcohol goes down easily. The dishes just keep coming. Despite the lively and casual atmosphere with the energetic owner, the timing is crucial at this restaurant. Next time, I want to enjoy it with appropriate time management without overeating at the end.

In Shibuya, there is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy delicious teppanyaki chicken with various recommended cuts and flavors. The taste is quite delicious, with a rating of 3.7! However, the service can be a bit inflexible, such as having the last order one hour before closing, and they are quite strict about how the food is cooked. Some people may find this kind of customer service off-putting, but the restaurant's focus is on ensuring customers enjoy delicious food. While the lack of flexibility may be a bit frustrating, if you can accept that the restaurant is stubborn and has strong principles, you can enjoy high-quality chicken in a purely delicious restaurant!

■Access 5 minutes walk from Shibuya Station on the JR line. ■Number of visits First visit. ■Purpose Meeting with an acquaintance. ■Overview Located on a street just off the main street of Miyamasuzaka, this yakiniku restaurant offers a casual atmosphere where you can enjoy chicken yakiniku without any pretense. It is a popular spot, so it is recommended to make a reservation in advance when visiting. ■Menu The menu consists of a variety of dishes that can be ordered a la carte. You can enjoy various parts of chicken with original sauce and spices, offering a wide range of options. On this day, as it was my first visit, I left the ordering to the restaurant and was served with a variety of dishes. ■Impressions I had seen many positive reviews on social media about this restaurant, so I had been curious about it for a while. I had tried to walk in without a reservation a few times before, but it was always full, so I made a reservation a week in advance this time. Ordering the chef's choice allowed me to taste various parts of chicken in different ways, providing an experience that I couldn't get at other restaurants. One part that left a strong impression was the chicken neck. This part was not commonly seen, but it had a unique texture with a combination of crunchiness and juiciness, creating a flavor that was addictive. The restaurant's original sauce also enhanced the richness of the meat's flavor. The chicken breast I had in the middle of the course was also unforgettable. The large piece of chicken breast had a moist texture without being dry, and the smooth texture was delightful. When grilled with mayonnaise sauce, it added a touch of indulgence and paired well with alcohol. The service was warm and welcoming, making me want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal. ■Rating at the time of visit 3.68

Went to the famous chicken yakiniku restaurant Onitei in Shibuya. It had been a while since I last visited, and I felt like the flavors were stronger this time. While I understand the need to keep the tables rotating, I wished I could have eaten a bit more leisurely. In that sense, this visit was disappointing. #Onitei #chickenyakiniku #Shibuya #Tokyo #gourmet #dinner #Tokyodinner #foodstagram #Tokyo #Shibuyagourmet

When I mentioned that it was my first time visiting, they offered a course menu including salted chicken breast, mayonnaise with chicken tenderloin, liver, herb-grilled chicken thigh, spicy grilled chicken thigh, and chicken rice porridge. Even though everything was delicious, the salted chicken breast and herb-grilled chicken thigh are must-order items.

The cost performance was good, and the atmosphere was like a casual pub which was lovely. The meat was delicious! The staff kindly (almost too much) taught us how to grill the meat, and it was cooked perfectly. It was really, really delicious so I will come back again! Your clothes will smell like the food.

I started a gourmet website by Mitomi Emon. The culture of chicken yakiniku is found throughout the country. Recently, chicken yakiniku restaurants in Kumamoto have been gaining attention, and chicken sashimi is popular in Kagoshima and Miyazaki. Interestingly, Matsusaka, famous for Matsusaka beef, also has a culture of chicken yakiniku, characterized by eating it with miso sauce. When it comes to the representative chicken yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo, it would be "Kitei" in Shibuya. They uniquely season the originally bland chicken meat, offering a variety of options. For example, coating the chicken tenderloin with mayonnaise, seasoning chicken breast with herbs and chili peppers, or serving tsukune (chicken meatballs) with seaweed. Even the seemingly simple hormone (offal) assortment is strongly seasoned with salt and coated well. This is Tokyo's chicken yakiniku! Thank you for the meal.

I was finally able to make a reservation at this hard-to-book restaurant on the same day. I opted for the chef's choice course, and the lady at the restaurant cooked everything perfectly. She also taught me how to eat each dish properly. Everything was delicious! When in doubt in Shibuya, this restaurant is a safe bet.

There is no menu, they recommend dishes one by one. Everything was so delicious and amazing. They also teach you how to cook it, like grilling it twice or marinating it before grilling. The variety of ways to enjoy the food was fun. I drank a lot of alcohol and the price was great! I will definitely go back.

I found a delicious-looking restaurant serving grilled chicken and samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) while searching on Tabelog, so I made a reservation in advance and went there. We parked at a nearby coin parking lot and arrived with 6 people at the reserved time of 7:00 pm. We were seated at a table in the center of the restaurant. The place was crowded, indicating its popularity. We toasted with draft beer and asked the staff to bring out their recommended dishes. We had ordered the samgyetang in advance. The omakase course included mozuku vinegar, Kitei salad, grilled chicken breast with leeks, grilled chicken thigh with herbs, grilled chicken tenderloin with mayonnaise, grilled chicken thigh with sauce, grilled chicken thigh with chili, Kitei tsukune (chicken meatballs), kimchi, and additional order of chicken neck karaage. We also had the reserved samgyetang. With drinks, it cost about 7,000 yen per person. They use fresh and high-quality chicken meat, and the variety of seasonings such as herbs, chili, and mayonnaise were all delicious. The flavors were on the stronger side, suitable for drinking. The samgyetang, which I hadn't had in a while, was incredibly delicious, tailored to Japanese tastes. There were many other menu items I would like to try, so I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Thank you for always liking my posts. I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. We made a reservation for 6 people at 7:30 pm. It seems that reservations are necessary as there were scenes where people without reservations couldn't enter. There are counter seats and tightly packed table seats. This time we sat at a table. - Mozuku vinegar as a complimentary appetizer - Onitei salad for 1,200 yen - Grilled chicken breast with green onions for 1,200 yen - Grilled chicken thigh with herbs for 1,500 yen - Grilled chicken tenderloin with mayonnaise for 1,200 yen - Grilled chicken thigh with soy sauce for 1,150 yen - Chicken meatball with wasabi for 1,200 yen - Grilled chicken thigh with chili pepper for 1,300 yen - Samgyetang (Korean chicken soup) for 5,500 yen - Chicken neck fried for 1,300 yen Each menu item was cooked and explained by the staff. The grilled chicken tenderloin with mayonnaise was especially delicious, dipping the grilled chicken in a special mustard and garlic mayonnaise for a juicy and flavorful experience. The Samgyetang was a whole chicken with glutinous rice, Korean ginseng, and nutmeg. It was served with kimchi for flavor variation, and it was also very tasty. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I will definitely visit again!

Thank you for having us. Today, 6 members of our company visited your restaurant. Located in a back alley of Shibuya, the atmosphere of the restaurant exudes a traditional charm. We ordered the chef's special for today, the Onitei Salad and the must-reserve Samgyetang (please make a reservation when calling). All the grilled meats were ordered in portions for 2 people. Chicken breast grill for 1200 yen (excluding tax), Chicken basil grill for 1500 yen (excluding tax), Chicken teriyaki grill for 1200 yen (excluding tax), Spicy chicken grill for 1300 yen (excluding tax), and Chicken neck fried for 1300 yen (excluding tax). After finishing the grilled meats, we enjoyed the main dish, the Samgyetang, which had been simmered for 4 hours. It was exquisite. Thank you for the wonderful meal. We will definitely visit again.

The green onion salt is delicious! It's grilled with plenty of well-seasoned green onions. Also, the basil-grilled chicken thighs are a unique dish not found in other yakiniku restaurants. After grilling, they are dipped in garlic olive oil before eating. All dishes have a strong flavor, but they go perfectly with alcohol.
