After celebrating my birthday at The Peninsula, I wanted to go to a famous coffee shop but my stomach was too full. So, I searched on my phone and found a shop near Marunouchi Gate B2F that had great reviews. I bought some bread the next day and although I was in a rush and forgot to take a picture of the whole loaf, I managed to try all of them. The Noah Walnut Raisin bread is recommended with cheese, used in French restaurants. The Levaindeille bread has a sour chewy texture and is used in their sandwiches. The Salt Honey baguette has fermented butter and honey with Guérande salt, perfect with coffee or tea. The Olivier bread with green olives was the most delicious and made me want to pair it with wine, despite not being much of a drinker. This shop has been around since Plante GINZA in 1984 and was renewed in 2017 for the opening of the Marunouchi Gate. Even though it's located in Ashiya, Nishinomiya, Takarazuka, and Kobe, I felt it was worth coming all the way to Ginza just for their bread. I've been to several top 100 bread shops before but even though I only bought 4 types here, they were all delicious. I would like to try all the different hard bread varieties someday.

I dropped by while looking for a place for dinner after work. The canele outside was crispy and delicious. If you see someone walking in Ginza at night nibbling on a canele, that's me. [Access] Located in the basement of Marronnier Gate. [Good Points] Crispy canele on the outside.

At the Tokyo main store of Boulangerie Vigot, the journey to visit the top 100 bread shops in Tokyo continues. Located a short 3-minute walk from Ginza Station, on the 2nd basement floor of Marronnier Gate Ginza 2. Arriving just before closing time, many items were sold out. I chose POIRE, Gateau Basque, and Levain Chocolatine. POIRE is a Danish pastry with pear and custard, a popular item at Vigot. Gateau Basque is a traditional pastry from the Basque region with a perfect balance of custard and almond cream. Levain Chocolatine has a cocoa powder and butter mixture swirled into levain dough, mixed with milk chocolate, orange, walnuts, and raisins. It's a great choice for chocolate lovers. Chocolatine is a croissant dough rolled with chocolate, a classic item found at French bakeries. I look forward to visiting again for more delights.

Payment can be made using credit card, electronic money, and QR code. I paid with my Merucard. The Ginza set costs 1080 yen. Even though it was in the evening and many items were sold out, I purchased bread worth 1500 yen at a great deal. All the bread was delicious, but I wonder if it would have been even better if it was freshly baked.

No wait around 14:30 on a holiday afternoon. Ordered a Chocolatine for 378 yen and a Sausage Bread for 540 yen. Located a 2-minute walk from Ginza-itchome Station. Payment with transportation IC cards is accepted. The Chocolatine was delicious with a perfect blend of bread and chocolate. The Sausage Bread consisted of a soft French bread with sausage, dried tomatoes, and pickles. The simple taste of the sausage paired well with the acidity of the tomatoes and pickles.

This is a shop that was selected for the "Top 100 Bread Shops in Tokyo 2020". It is located in the basement of Ginza Uniqlo. The bread I bought this time:
- Levain Chocolat, 378 yen: A bread made with levain dough with cocoa powder and butter, with walnuts and raisins. It has a subtle chocolate flavor and was delicious.
- Honey Lemon, 378 yen: A bread with a moist dough filled with honey and lemon peel. This bread has a refreshing taste, and despite its interesting name, it was delicious.
- Raw Baguette, 378 yen: A moist baguette that is soft and perfect for spreading butter or jam in the morning. It was delicious, although I thought it was a bit pricey. But, being in Ginza, it's understandable. Nevertheless, as expected from a top 100 shop, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Upon visiting a bakery called 3.64 in Ashiya for the first time, I found that their Tokyo branch, which is rated 3.78, was surprisingly rated higher than the main branch. It may be due to the appeal of the name "Tokyo branch." The Tokyo branch is located in a commercial building B2F, a 2-3 minute walk from JR Yurakucho Station. The bakery opened in 1984 and has a design that feels a bit outdated compared to modern bakeries. When I visited on a weekday at lunchtime, it wasn't very crowded. I purchased an Elivier for 270 yen, a Sausage Roll for 540 yen, and a Gateau Chocolat for 432 yen. Here are my thoughts on the items:
1. Elivier: A French bread with green olives. The flavor is enhanced by olive oil. Rating: 3.4
2. Sausage Roll: A French bread with coarsely ground sausage, zucchini, and sun-dried tomatoes. The coarsely ground sausage stands out for its flavor. I added ketchup and mustard halfway through for a more indulgent taste. Rating: 3.5
3. Gateau Chocolat: A classic dessert. It turned out interesting even when microwaved. Rating: 3.6

I received a consultation about whether there are any good sweets that can be taken out in Ginza, and I suggested the Petite Choux from the Vigo store in Tokyo. The person bought the Petite Choux for me, and I was thrilled because I had been wanting to try it. The main store is actually in Ashiya, but the Tokyo location is considered the main store. The packaging has a cool phrase that says, "The taste of a sushi restaurant can be judged by its tamagoyaki, and a patissier's skills can be judged by their choux pastry." The Petite Choux comes in a pack of 5, and they are visually appealing. They are small but very authentic, filled with custard cream. They are about the size of a ping pong ball, making them bite-sized. The pastry is delicious, and the custard cream is particularly tasty. I could eat these endlessly. There seem to be other tempting pastries available at the store, so I look forward to going there myself next time to try more varieties!

This shop will end its business at the current location at the end of January, so I hurried to visit. I bought the reliable and delicious bread from Vigo. This time, I got a Gateau Basque and a bread that tasted like "shimeji" mushrooms. It's disappointing to see shops that I thought I could always go to closing one after another. Even though they managed to survive during the pandemic, why are they closing? I'm looking forward to the new shop in Korakuen.

6th stop, it looks like bread and its brain is made of wheat flour!! Its name is... SI.ME.JI∠( ˙-˙ )/(lol) It may just be the form ( ´-' )ノ)`-' ) I'm picky with carbohydrates, but my mom loves bread, so I bought it for her to get a medal from a famous bakery. I watched her enjoy it next to me hahaha. I enjoy gourmet food with the concept of "eating and losing weight". I also have an Instagram account, so check it out if you're interested! France Pain has been passed down since 1965, with missionary Philippe Bigot. It has since spread nationwide as "Bigot's Shop." Currently, the second generation, Taro, has taken over and continues the tradition. In the past, it was located in Ginza Platan, but now it is located underground at Uniqlo. I stopped by after 7 pm, so there was a "10% OFF" sale. I bought some baked goods and a baguette. Baguette has a gentle bake with a crisp crust and rich aroma. The crumb is soft, with abundant yeast bubbles, and a subtle acidity, making the wheat flavor irresistible. However, there was a sad announcement at the register that they will close in January and move to Hongoen in March. I expressed my disappointment to the staff. It will be a further distance to visit, but at least they are not closing down completely. Nevertheless, it's still a shame. I may have to make frequent visits until they relocate.

Yurakucho in Tokyo, Pan Tokyo Hyakumeiten, and the original store of Donq, Bigo Tokyo Honten. Bigo, which originated from Donq, right? The main store is in Ashiya. As a baguette devotee, I came here for a pilgrimage. The taste is the original hard style. The inside is also firm. Baguettes don't last long, so I freeze them, but if you freeze these they become too hard, so be careful. A baguette that makes you feel its history. Thanks for the meal.

[I tried takeout from "Vigo's Shop," selected as one of the top 100 bakeries in Tokyo by Tabelog. I ordered the following items:
-Canele: 378 yen (tax included)
-Croque Amor: 432 yen (tax included)
-Plastic bag: 5 yen (tax included)
Total Amount: 815 yen
Once I got home, the items quickly disappeared. Personally, I preferred the "Croque Amor." It had a great dessert-like quality. It was a delicious treat, and I will definitely be buying from there again. Bon appétit!]

Located in the basement of Ginza UNIQLO, this bakery called "Pan Hyakumeiten" offers a wide variety of delicious-looking bread. I had never heard of it before, but I bought a half of a baguette and an almond pie, both of which seem to have a good reputation. I heard that they will be relocating to Korakuen in March 2023, but since I often visit both Ginza and Korakuen, I will definitely come back if I enjoy their products.

There are several bakeries across the country that are modeled after Bigo's name. I went to buy a hardtack made with the same dough as French bread. The light and chewy texture wasn't really to my liking. I would like to try other breads as well.

I found a bakery in the department store basement. I learned about it from Tabelog, apparently it's one of the top 100 shops! I wish I had bought more (>_<) I bought a unique cheese bread, a focaccia with walnuts topped with several types of cheese including blue cheese and honey. The dough and topping combinations were fantastic. I regret only buying one. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

I had some errands nearby, so I decided to visit for the first time. It was a department store basement, but it was quite quiet probably because it was a weekday afternoon. It was right after getting off the escalator. The sign of the little boy had a high quality and told a story about the shop. There were many types of bread such as regular sandwich bread, table rolls, baguettes, and some rare items that made it fun just to look at. The store is spacious with wide aisles, unlike many other bakeries, making it really nice. The unique bread items that are not commonly seen in Japan came with handwritten explanations attached. I bought a few items to eat at home, but there were still many more delicious-looking ones that caught my eye. I am now thinking of buying something more substantial next time and planning a suitable meal to go with it. Next to the checkout for takeout, there was another showcase with items for sale that also piqued my interest.

Visited for the first time at around 3:30 PM on a Saturday in November 2022. "Vigo no Mise" is a popular bakery located on the 2nd basement floor of Marunouchi Gate 2 in front of Yurakucho Station. All the bread is individually wrapped and there are no tongs, so you pick with your hands. Among the many tempting breads, I personally like the following because they are easy to carry:
- Croissant: ¥324
- Canele: ¥378
Both prices include tax. I purchased them and enjoyed them a few hours later. The croissant had a nice crispy texture and a good buttery flavor! The canele was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and had a good balance of sweetness. It was very delicious! A great choice! Enjoyed them both thoroughly! Thank you for the meal!

This bakery, famous for its French bread, is widely spread in western Japan, but it can also be found in Ginza Milestone in Tokyo. I visited today to buy souvenirs for my friend, and I also purchased a Galette Bretonne for myself. This bakery is popular for its French bread and savory pastries, but their baked goods are also delicious. It is located in a convenient place, so I intend to visit it regularly.

The Uniqlo store in Yurakucho is located on the B2F of a building, and I was surprised at first to find a bakery in the basement of the building. It is a popular spot, so the seating was limited when I visited on a Saturday. The bakery is called Pigo, and it offers a variety of cakes and bakery items. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are friendly. I tried a Levain sandwich, which was a flavorful blend of wheat and rye bread with generous ham and butter inside. The unique tangy flavor and soft texture of the bread made it a delightful treat. It's the perfect sandwich to enjoy on a picnic with a glass of wine. Overall, it was a delicious experience and I look forward to exploring more bakeries in the area.

I purchased the following items and here are my thoughts:
【French Toast】It looked very delicious but when I tried it, it didn't exceed my expectations. I didn't find it that tasty. I prefer it to be more soaked.
【Faubourg】I prefer it without prunes.
【Levain et Rodev】I purchased a combination of Levain and Rodev, half each. I lightly toasted them in a toaster before eating. Both were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and very delicious. I would like to buy them again when I am nearby.
【Whole Wheat and Bran】Similarly to Levain and Rodev, these were delicious with a crispy exterior and chewy interior.
