中目のやっこさん
Located in the calm area of Ebisu, "Yakiniku Fujimon Ebisu" is a yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy your meal in private rooms without worrying about others. As the sister restaurant of the popular yakiniku restaurant in Shibuya, "Fujimon," this place offers a private space with individual rooms for each table. The concept is inspired by Japan's iconic Mount Fuji, offering a selection of premium Japanese black wagyu beef as well as creative yakiniku dishes. Specialties like Fujimaki, Mount Fuji Summit platter, and Goraiko Sukiyaki are available, along with unique items like Hikatsu Burger and Charcoal-grilled Staub Rice. The restaurant is about a 7-8 minute walk from JR Ebisu Station West Exit, situated in an area with many select shops near Daikanyama. The entrance, located underground, features a tea house-style space with maple trees and traditional Japanese umbrellas. Each table is a private room, with options for 2 or 4 people in semi-private rooms separated by curtains. During our visit with a group of 10, we were seated in a six-person and a four-person room connected at the back, creating a cozy atmosphere with a sunken kotatsu seating area and a view of a small garden. Orders are placed using a QR code via smartphone. We enjoyed the following dishes together: Fujimaki with uni and ikura toppings, Charcoal-grilled Staub Rice, Mount Fuji Summit platter, Upper Tan with salt, Negi Tan with salt, Wagyu Yukke, Napa Cabbage Kimchi, Umeboshi Kimchi, Moyashi Namul, Chogegi Salad, Volcanic Soup with magma powder (extra spicy, be cautious), Tamago Soup, and Black Honey Kinako Vanilla. The restaurant also offers a variety of cocktails and highballs, allowing each person to discreetly enjoy 3-4 drinks. The ambiance, along with the vibrant specialty dishes, enhances the overall dining experience. While the yakiniku dishes were delicious overall, the standout items were the Fujimaki and Charcoal-grilled Staub Rice, which are must-tries! The Fujimaki is a luxurious roll made with Wagyu Yukke and golden egg yolk, topped with uni and ikura for an explosion of flavors in every bite. The Charcoal-grilled Staub Rice, a dish that takes some time to prepare, features Wagyu Toro meat and smoked minced meat mixed with rice, exuding a delightful smoky aroma and a rich umami flavor that can be enjoyed as is or as ochazuke with added dashi. The Negi Tan with salt, grilled with plenty of green onions, and the Upper Tan with salt, showcasing the milky sweet umami from thick slices of beef tongue, also left a lasting impression. Note that the portion sizes can be a bit hard to gauge from the online menu, but they generally match the number of people in your group. The service might be a bit slow, so it's best to place your orders promptly. A menu with photos or clearer descriptions could help with ordering smoothly. The Lemon Sour, made with plenty of lemon pulp, is recommended for its refreshing citrusy taste. Yakiniku Fujimon Ebisu is a must-visit for those looking for a serene private room yakiniku experience in the Ebisu-Daikanyama area.
