From Tokyo Station, the restaurant is located along Yaesu-dori near the Kyobashi 1-chome intersection and near the Higashi Shin-go exit of the Tokyo Expressway. The closest station is Hatchobori, but it is also within walking distance from Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, Takaramachi, Kyobashi, and other nearby stations. The restaurant opened in July 2015, with its roots tracing back to Seigetsu in the Seibu Shinjuku Line in 2007, before moving several times and finally settling here. The staff members wear T-shirts with "SINCE 2007" printed on the back. I arrived about 15 minutes before the 11 am opening time on a weekday and there was already a small line. By opening time, the counter seating for about 10 people was full and there was a line outside as well. I ordered the Ajitama Ramen (sardine broth) and watched as the staff skillfully made fresh noodles right in front of me. The attention to detail was impressive, not only in the noodles but also in the soup, made with chicken, deer bones, kelp, shiitake mushrooms, dried baby sardines, salt, soy sauce, and other carefully selected ingredients. The rich and flavorful soup paired perfectly with the handcrafted noodles, which were thick, short, and had a great texture. The toppings of cha siu, green onions, finely sliced menma (bamboo shoots), and seasoned egg complemented the dish well. I would love to try their tsukemen next time, as well as their rice dishes. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Last night, I overindulged in drinks until the last train to celebrate my promotion, and ended up feeling unwell. Today, I had lunch near the office. I had been curious about a certain restaurant but had been avoiding it due to its higher price range. I finally decided to visit Menya Shichisai, where they offer various types of ramen on their ticket machine including soy sauce and dried fish broth. There were also many foreign language descriptions, indicating that there were many foreign customers. After much contemplation, I ordered the special dried fish broth ramen from Kitakata for 1700 yen. Although it was a bit pricey, my expectations were high. I ordered a medium portion of noodles, which was the same price as a regular or large portion. I sat at the counter and saw each ingredient described as carefully selected and with details like the noodles being made from scratch after ordering. After waiting for 5-6 minutes, the ramen was served. It had thick, flat noodles and two types of chashu. The smell was not very strong, but the taste was bold. It was definitely the best ramen around here, very delicious and well-executed. However, it was still a bit expensive. Thank you for the meal.

Kita-kata Ramen specialty shop Shichisai's special soy sauce ramen. The line is about 4 groups long by 2:00 PM. Even though you may think you can get in quickly, the turnover is slow... I found out later that they make the noodles each time an order is placed! The soup has a sharp soy sauce flavor, typical of Kita-kata Ramen. I wish it had a bit more richness, but this is Kita-kata Ramen for you! They use homemade noodles with a commitment to quality. They use domestic wheat and the noodles have a unique, chewy texture. However, because the noodles are made fresh, it lacks the depth and flavor of aged noodles and the richness of wheat was not very pronounced. The overall impression is more like udon. This is a place where time is needed. Recommended for those who want to try authentic Kita-kata Ramen! The owner may look intimidating, but he is actually a kind person with a lovely smile.

I visited the restaurant around 18:30 on a Thursday, and there was no line so I purchased a meal ticket and was seated right away. I ordered my usual Ajitama Ramen. This place makes the noodles by hand after receiving the order, so it takes some time to be served. The downside is that the taste, texture, dryness, and chewiness of the noodles can vary depending on the chef. I wish they had more consistent standards for serving. This time, the noodles were honestly a disappointment - less chewy and thicker than usual, with clumps and not very tasty. I want to choose a time to visit when a skilled chef is making the noodles.

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday in September around 1:00 PM for some errands. There were 3 groups of 2 people waiting outside the restaurant. Inside, one group was waiting in front of the ticket machine, while another group of 5 or 6 people was waiting in the seating area towards the back. The staff then guided us to our seats 15 minutes after entering the restaurant, and we were seated 25 minutes after arriving. Once inside, we purchased our meal tickets at the entrance ticket machine. Despite various cold noodle options available that day, we opted for the classic hot ramen. The menu offered different flavors such as shoyu (soy sauce), niboshi (dried sardine), and salt-based ramen, with various toppings. We decided on the orthodox shoyu tsukemen (dipping noodles) in a large serving for 1200 yen. The portion sizes for noodles were available in small, medium, or large (250g) for the same price, but since most people were ordering hot noodles, we assumed the traditional options would be the best choice. After handing in our ticket, we informed the staff of our desired noodle quantity. Soon after, our dishes arrived. The noodles were hand-cut in the restaurant, providing a delicious aroma of wheat. The 250g portion turned out to be quite large, and the shoyu tsukemen had a rich chicken fat flavor, though not too overpowering. The broth was not too thick and had a light, savory taste. Perhaps we should have chosen the niboshi flavor for the tsukemen instead, as the shoyu version lacked a bit of impact. Overall, it was a satisfying late lunch. Thank you for the meal.

Visited at 2:30 pm. There were 2 customers before me and no customers after. There were around 9 seats at the counter and no table seats. I couldn't decide on what to order, so I stood in front of the ticket machine and contemplated. There were three flavors available: dried fish, soy sauce, and salt. I ended up asking the staff for a recommendation and chose dried fish. The noodle portion sizes were regular (150g), medium (200g), and large (250g), all the same price, so I picked the large size without hesitation. The soup was a savory dried fish broth that had a subtle bitterness and depth of flavor. A hint of guanylic acid from dried shiitake mushrooms added to the delicious taste. The noodles were freshly made, cut, and boiled right in front of the customers, creating a popular performance. The hand-kneaded noodles had the perfect thickness, firmness, and wavy texture, and were really delicious. Also, there was a generous amount of thin bamboo shoots. While the saltiness was stronger than traditional Kitakata ramen, it was still acceptable within the "dried fish" category. Maybe I should have chosen soy sauce or salt after all?

I arrived around 1pm on a regular day and there were about 6 people waiting outside. It took 45 minutes from lining up to the food being served. It was really hot, so I was drawn to the limited-time offer of chilled sweet potato noodles. I was unsure about the portion size, so I asked the staff and was told that women usually order a mix of regular and medium, so I chose the medium size. It was lightly sweet and refreshing, and I easily finished it! Choosing the medium size was the right decision! I would like to try their regular menu next time.

This limited-time menu is only available for about a week at the end of August. The corn chilled noodles, which seem to symbolize the end of summer, are highly recommended for ramen lovers. Corn Chilled Noodles 1400 yen, Corn Rice 400 yen I visited the restaurant at a different time of the day, but still had to wait for almost an hour... Nanairo is already a popular spot, but maybe the limited menu made it even busier (laughs) 1. Corn Chilled Noodles The soup looks like a potage and is served in a stylish dish. The taste is rich like corn potage, but you can also sense the dashi broth. The natural sweetness of the corn stands out, and the richness is just right. And of course, Nanairo is known for its handcrafted noodles. The flat and chewy noodles blend well with the corn soup, while also giving a hint of wheat flavor. I love these flat noodles, it was a while since I last visited and I was impressed. The sweet corn on top was delightful, and the chopped chashu added a nice touch. 2. Corn Rice Next, I tried the corn rice. The rice is topped with the potage-like corn soup, chashu, and Parmesan. The Parmesan adds a nice flavor, complementing the corn and rice perfectly. The chashu had a strong presence and provided a satisfying bite! Since this seasonal offering is over, if you're interested, make sure to visit next year! Recommended for: - Those who like sweet corn - Those who enjoy flat and chewy noodles *Be sure to check the restaurant's official website or social media for the latest information before visiting. *Menu items are subject to change.

I heard that the rainbow-colored tōkibi cold noodles were delicious, so I decided to go back the next day despite being put off by the long line of almost 50 people the day before. This time, the line was a bit shorter with around 30 people, so I waited in line. It was a bit slow inside the ramen shop, maybe because there were many female customers. Finally, I was able to enter and ordered the tōkibi cold noodles for ¥1400 and tōkibi rice for ¥400. I enjoyed the summer season in Hida Takayama's cool weather with Takane Corn. The broth with a hint of Japanese flavor and corn soup were delicious, but what really surprised me was the amazing handmade noodles! Made with domestic wheat, freshly kneaded and cut on the spot, then boiled and served. I was shocked by how delicious the freshly made noodles were... I wondered if there was any noodle better than this. I apologize in my heart for not coming here for 12 years. This place is worth the repeat visits. I understand now why the line is so long. The noodles here are definitely worth waiting for. I highly recommend this place. I feel like I might become addicted. I plan to come back soon to try their regular menu items.

On September 3, 2023, I went to Menya Nanairo and ordered the limited edition Toukibi cold noodles set with Toukibi rice for 1800 yen. I purchased the food ticket and lined up with @murasaki_taku24 for the 12th year in a row. Although we arrived a little early, we managed to get it before they sold out. The cold noodles were made with plenty of Takane corn and hand-cut thick noodles that were properly chilled with cold water. The toppings included thinly sliced chashu and flavorful corn. The hot Toukibi rice was delicious, topped with grilled pork belly and Parmigiano cheese. Looking forward to next year's visit. I arrived at the restaurant on September 2, 2023 at 12:20. The parking is quite expensive, but street parking is free on Sundays and holidays, and there are other parking options nearby. I joined 6 people waiting inside and 35 people waiting outside. I was instructed by the staff to enter and purchase a meal ticket at the vending machine, then wait in front of the vending machine. I ordered the limited edition chilled noodle with corn and a side of corn rice. It took about 2 hours to be seated at 2:15 pm, with the line moving at a pace of about 15 to 20 people per hour. They only serve 100 meals a day, and it appeared to sell out by around 2 pm on this Saturday. The soup was made with ground Hida Takayama corn mixed with a light broth, tasting just like the corn with a slight saltiness, and the hand-cut noodles were delicious. The corn rice was served with pork belly and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, creating a fragrant and appetizing dish. Despite the lingering summer heat in early September, the meal was refreshing and enjoyable. The service was friendly and courteous as always. Thank you for the meal!

Noodle Shop Shichisai @ Hatchobori "Chilled Corn Noodles" "Corn Rice" Recorded the other day. As a corn lover, I feel like I want to try every chilled corn noodle this season. Shichisai's chilled corn noodles have been raved about by many, so I went there on the weekend prepared to wait in line! Arrived at 10:20, already 25 people in line. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes until the dish arrived, but it was worth it. The thick corn soup, with a slightly salty flavor, made me want to slurp up the noodles quickly. The noodles are freshly made in front of you. The chashu (roast pork) is meaty and pairs well with the light corn soup. The Takana corn on top was sweet and delicious. The Corn Rice with cheese and chashu complemented the sweetness of the corn well, tasting like a sophisticated doria dish. The operation is a bit slow, so it's better to go when you have plenty of time. The awaited chilled corn noodles were truly delicious. Thank you for the meal. #NoodleLover #NoodleGram #Ramen #tokyo #Shichisai #Hatchobori #ChilledCornNoodles #CornRice #LimitedTimeOffer #CornLoversHeaven.

On Saturday evening, my husband and I took a stroll without any particular destination in mind. As we started to get hungry, we decided to go to a ramen restaurant we had been to before, called Nanasai. I was torn between getting the dried fish ramen, but since I couldn't remember what it tasted like, I opted for a simple soy sauce ramen instead. The curly noodles were fresh and I chose a regular serving size, which turned out to be a bit on the larger side - but that was okay. I decided that next time I would try the dried fish ramen and maybe even the summer limited edition cold corn noodles. I heard they sell out at night, so I'll have to go earlier next time.

Visited after 8 years to try the chilled noodles with tokibi. Arrived around 12 pm and joined the waitlist of 6 people. Purchased the ticket for the chilled noodles with tokibi from the ticket machine. Since there were only 6 waiting seats, I had to stand in front of the ticket machine. Upon handing over the ticket, I was asked about the noodle portion size, and I chose medium from the options of 150g, 200g, and 250g. The restaurant had a counter with 13 seats in front of the kitchen and 6 waiting seats. There were 3 staff members - 2 in the kitchen and 1 doing customer service. After about 15 minutes, I was seated at the counter. This restaurant is known for serving freshly made noodles from scratch, but unfortunately, I was seated the farthest from where the noodles were made and couldn't see the process. The bowl arrived after 15 minutes, with a chilled, smooth corn soup. The flavor of the corn was strong but not too sweet, making it a refreshing soup. The medium-thick noodles were chewy and had a nice bite to them, different from what I had previously experienced with their dipping noodles. There were several slices of well-seasoned chashu pork, local tokibi from Hida Takayama Miyada Takane Corn, and bamboo shoots as toppings. The sweet and flavorful corn was a highlight. The soup was pleasantly sweet, leaving me feeling surprisingly full. Overall, a satisfying meal. This limited menu is available until September 4th.

The collaboration between taro stem and dashi broth is incredibly delicious! This limited-time offer is available until Monday, September 4th, 2023! I visited during lunchtime, and the location is about a 5-minute walk from Hachobori Subway Station. I ordered the Taro Stem Cold Noodles (medium size for free) for 1,400 yen and the Taro Stem Rice for 400 yen. Today's lunch ramen was a rich experience. Over half of the customers ordered the Taro Stem Cold Noodles, which was impressive! It was served in just 10 minutes. [Visual] The soup, with a strong taro stem flavor, had a vibrant yellow color. The ingredients were on the lighter side, possibly to emphasize the taro stem flavor. [Soup] I took a sip... delicious! The thick soup was full of taro stem flavor! The aroma of taro stem was powerful in the soup, creating a great combination with the dashi broth. [Noodles] Handmade noodles prepared on the spot. They had a higher water content, making them perfectly tangled with the thick soup. The taro stem took the spotlight instead of the noodles this time. [Chashu] Tasty, but quite subtle this time. [Taro Stem] Sweet and delicious. [Taro Stem Rice] I took a bite... delicious! The addition of cheese made it incredibly tasty! The cheese sprinkled on top of the soup did a great job, and it paired well with the chashu. The portion size was small. After finishing the meal, I thought the taro stem noodles and rice were incredibly delicious. I hope to enjoy this limited-time offer every year, and this visit marks my 12th time. I look forward to visiting again next year. I had a delicious and enjoyable experience!

After watching a movie, I visited BM Shokudo for the first time. There are quite a few parking meters along the nearby Heisei Street, so I went by car. I arrived 5 minutes before opening and there were already 10 people ahead of me, and by the time it opened, there were about 4 people behind me as well. You definitely have to wait in line! I sat right in front of where they make the noodles. It was amazing! I had heard that they make the noodles right there, but the impact was incredible. The sound of the noodles being made was satisfying and enjoyable. I received my bowl of ramen in about 30 minutes. I started with the soup first. The scent of the broth was slightly fragrant and I enjoyed the clear and refreshing taste. The noodles were flat and the varying thickness provided a delightful texture in my mouth. The bamboo shoots were thinly sliced and had a good texture, with a wonderful aroma. I slurped up every last bit in a trance. It was a satisfying experience for the price. There is a famous restaurant in front of Tokyo Station!

I finally visited this place that I wanted to go to despite it being a little far from Tokyo Station! I arrived around 2 pm and there were about 10 people waiting outside. The customers before and after me were foreigners, but the staff handled them in English without any issues, which I thought was wonderful! The customer service was also very polite. Although I was very curious about the limited edition cold noodles with yam stems, since it was my first visit, I chose the Kitakata ramen with dried sardine broth! You can choose the amount of noodles, so I opted for a large serving. It seems like you can choose from small, medium, and large portions, so it's good to decide beforehand! The hand-kneaded chewy noodles were incredibly delicious! They paired well with the savory dried sardine flavor and sharp soy sauce taste. I initially thought 1200 yen was a bit expensive, but the surpassing deliciousness and customer service made it worth it. I definitely want to come here again!

Located in Tokyo, Menya Shichisai is a highly-regarded ramen shop that has been selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops in Japan by Tabelog every year. The review mentions that you may have to wait in line even during lunchtime, as there can be a long line both inside and outside the shop. The homemade flat noodles are a standout feature, with a unique texture and flavor that showcases Menya Shichisai's culinary skills. The price point is also considered reasonable for the quality of the ramen. The review recommends trying the special ramen along with the char siu rice. The friendly staff, clean interior, and sushi-bar-like counter seating contribute to a comfortable dining experience.menus also include options like char siu don and Tokibi rice. Overall, Menya Shichisai is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts in Tokyo.
