This hotel, "Hotel Monterey Ginza," is located about 560 meters southeast from the Kyobashi exit of JR Yamanote Line Yurakucho Station, along Ginza Yanagi Street. It has been in business for 15 years. Today, I participated in a field trip and training session for a certain organization at Tokyo Super Eco Town, followed by a New Year's party. We gathered at Ginza Kyubei for lunch, then visited two large industrial facilities in Jonan Island by bus. After the tour, we checked in at the hotel and immediately had the New Year's party at the 2nd floor banquet hall Le Soleil. The party, with about 60 people, included a course with a set menu and all-you-can-drink for 10,000 yen per person. There was a brief greeting from the representative of the organization, followed by introductions of guests and a toast with beer. From the second drink onwards, there were free drinks, including two cups of Dassai sake brought by someone (with the hotel's approval). The first dish served was tuna and avocado tartare, which was surprisingly easy to eat and had a straightforward taste. After trying several dishes and eating some bread, I started to feel a bit full. So, I requested red wine to accompany the main dish, roast beef. Among all the dishes, the roast beef was particularly delicious. It was served on a large plate with demiglace sauce, Spanish omelette, and mashed potatoes. The roast beef was very tender, and the demiglace sauce complemented it well. It was a high-quality dish with a deep flavor. For dessert, we had mango jelly on a glass plate, along with coffee. The sweetness was moderate, and it was also delicious. After the party, the second party was held at a nightclub in Ginza called "Shiroi Bara," which has been in business for 85 years. There were 50 participants who enjoyed the showtime, live karaoke, and gradually moved on to the third and fourth parties, enjoying the night in Ginza.
