I went to KanKara Shokudo for lunch in Shibuya, a restaurant serving Okinawan cuisine. Despite the lingering summer heat, the interior of the restaurant had a relaxed Okinawan atmosphere with Okinawan folk music playing in the background. The restaurant was quiet with just one other couple dining. I ordered the Okinawa soba set meal for 840 yen with an additional side of jushi for 50 yen. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Okinawa soba comes in various styles, but the one here was quite tasty. The jushi, although served in a chipped bowl, had a great flavor. Overall, it was a leisurely dining experience.

Lunch was also served at night! The set meals were very cost-effective with generous portions! The flavors were all rich and delicious! They go really well with beer! There were many dishes that I would like to try individually! The Goya Champuru, Soki Soba, and Taco Rice set was very satisfying! Even women would be satisfied with the portion size! I went to dinner with a friend and we had a set meal and beer for an hour. The food was delicious and filling, but I could only have one beer because I was so full. The restaurant was crowded and the group of salarymen next to us were drinking dozens of beers. It's a great place to go in the hot summer.

I wasn't expecting much from the spicy oil noodles, but they were surprisingly delicious. I was happy with the option to choose the amount of noodles. I added pork topping, but there was a lot of meat so I should have gone with the seasoned egg instead. Adding the bean sprouts from the appetizer was also a good idea. The air conditioning didn't work at all, so I wouldn't recommend going in the summer.

Delicious Okinawan cuisine. You can have Okinawa soba and Rafute don for under 1000 yen and feel satisfied. The purple sweet potato croquette was sweet and delicious. The pork tamago had a rich and tasty flavor with the pork transferring onto the egg. I hope the new staff member continues to do their best in the future!

I was amazed by the extensive menu with nearly 100 items. After much deliberation, I chose the Soba Bowl Set (Okinawan soba + choice of mini bowl) with Rafute Bowl. The price was only 890 yen (!), which was incredibly cost-effective for being so close to Shibuya Station. The Orion Beer was served in a frosty mug, which was a thoughtful touch. The Okinawan soba was light, and the Rafute Bowl was rich, striking a perfect balance. I added the "Purple Sweet Potato Croquette" to try a unique dish called Okinawan-style croquette soba. For dessert, I had the "Blue Seal Ice Cream in Chinsuko Flavor." All of this for under 2,000 yen. I have definitely decided to become a regular at this restaurant.

Overall, the dishes were affordable and delicious, despite the somewhat indifferent service. I think it's worth a visit for the tasty food.

My go-to place in Shibuya when I want to eat Okinawan cuisine! It's recommended because it's a bit quieter than the Center Gai side, where there are always a lot of people. The lunch sets are filling, cheap, and have great value for money. The soba broth soup is especially delicious!

I was impressed by the high cost performance of the most standard Okinawa soba at 770 yen even at night. The moment I entered, I could smell the good broth, and the Rafute was tender and flavorful, making me want to drink an Orion beer.

I visited this izakaya on a regular night. They serve Okinawan cuisine, and what's amazing is that you can get a set meal for less than 1000 yen even at night. I ordered the Kan Kara set for around 1000 yen. It came with Goya Champuru, Okinawan soba, and a choice of mini bowl. I chose the Soki bowl!
