Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been attending Howard Jones concerts. This time, I was even more delighted to see Nick Beggs, former bassist of Kajagoogoo, as a supporting member on stage in Japan. It's been 40 years since I last saw my idol, and it's such a joy to meet him again. After the live performance, I have already decided on a restaurant to go to, where I plan to have only vegetables and beer. In the past, I used to order the bagna cauda every time. Eating vegetables is not a bad idea for a healthy option. Today feels like a time-trip back to 40 years ago. The lyrics of the songs come to mind effortlessly, as the music has left a lasting impression. Being able to high-five with Nick was a thrilling experience. My idol still looks as cool as ever. Although Kajagoogoo has disbanded, there is no chance of a reunion, but I would have loved to hear their first single "Big Apple" after Limahl's departure. I always manage to secure a spot along the aisle to get a high-five, which is always a highlight. Coming back to reality, most of the people around me are of the same age group. Howard Jones knows how to liven up the atmosphere with his music. I never imagined such a wonderful musical experience would be waiting for me in the future when I was a child. I am already looking forward to the Billboard Yokohama concert at the end of the month.

Located on the 4th floor of Galleria in Roppongi Midtown, this place is just a 5-second walk from the neighboring restaurant, Philippe Mille, where we had dinner. I've always wanted to visit Billboard Live, so I was thrilled to make my first visit. On this day, a country music legend was performing, and it was a nostalgic and enjoyable time. They have a wide selection of drinks, including cocktails, highballs, and beer. It seems like you can also have snacks or meals here, but it might get a bit hectic. It might be better to come after having a meal to fully enjoy the music in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a truly fulfilling experience.

On Thursday, I went to see a live performance by Makoto Kawamoto at Billboard Live Tokyo. She debuted in 1996 with "Aino Sainou" and has been a prominent artist in the late 90s with hits like "DNA" and "1/2". Although I didn't know any songs from her new album, I enjoyed her cute vibes while sipping on Sumida River Brewing beer. As usual, I had eaten before going to Billboard, so this time it was just beer for me. "Aino Sainou" was the best!

Last time, the pizza was delicious, but this time we tried the recommended tapas of the day and some fried chicken as a snack. The portions were quite generous, and I ended up with a bit of heartburn. The fried chicken had a spicy Western-style flavor to it. The kiwi liqueur cocktail was very refreshing and tasty.

I reserved tickets for "Masatoshi Nakamura Billboard Live 2023 ~The Look Of Love~" held at Billboard Live Tokyo, and went to the event. I arrived at Billboard Live Tokyo in time for the 14:30 opening, completed the entrance procedures, and took my seat. I had a DX seat at the counter, which offered a great view of the stage from above. Since there was about an hour until the start of the show, I decided to enjoy a meal and some drinks. I looked at the menu and ordered "Billboard Salad for 1,750 yen, White Fish Carpaccio for 1,750 yen, Asahi Super Dry draft beer for 1,250 yen" to start with. At 14:39, the Asahi Super Dry draft beer and complimentary Glico Cratz arrived. I started sipping the beer and snacking on the Cratz. The first beer was delicious! At 14:46, the White Fish Carpaccio and Billboard Salad were served. The Billboard Salad had a generous portion and was packed with vegetables, which was perfect for me who needed some veggies. The White Fish Carpaccio with Asian dressing was refreshing and tasty. After finishing the beer, I ordered a "Jack Daniel's Black with soda for 1,150 yen" to enjoy. It arrived at 15:02, and I continued to enjoy my meal. As the live performance was about to start, I ordered "Fish & French Fries (half size) for 1,550 yen, Yoichi Single Malt with soda for 1,410 yen" to snack on while listening to the music. Both dishes arrived simultaneously at 15:21, and they were perfect for snacking while enjoying the show. The live performance by Masatoshi Nakamura started at 15:30. I listened to his nostalgic songs and enjoyed the lively conversations. After about an hour and a half of a fantastic live show, I settled the bill using a QR code and card payment for a total of 9,746 yen (including service charge). I left the live venue feeling satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful evening!

In Billboard Tokyo located in Midtown, you can enjoy live music while also indulging in a course meal, drinks, and a la carte dishes. On this particular day, I had plans for a meal after the live show, so I ordered a cheese platter and mixed nuts along with some alcohol. Of course, I also enjoyed the live performance.

Original cocktail created by Chief Bartender Takumi Kawashita of the cocktail bar "bar phase," produced by the brand EPISIROPH by WONK, featuring cassis squash, rainy season-clearing cherry tomatoes Margherita with the aroma of Japanese beef demi-glace bolognese. Collaboration between barphase and Oyama Nana Shoten resulted in the original gin "IN7 phase Ver." The "HOSHIKO 2022 Ume Liqueur" made from carefully selected domestic plums. A special drink for this event using four types of plum drinks, including Yagi Shuzo's "Hanafuda Distilled Liquor (Plum) Peony and Butterfly," made with plums from pesticide-free, organically grown private plum groves at Tokushige Beniume-en in Nara Prefecture, and filled with carbonation.

June was a rough month with a lot of things not going well and my luck taking a nosedive. To take my mind off things, I went to Billboard at Tokyo Midtown. I ordered my recent favorites, the Tokyo Classic Burger and Red Eye. I'm still on a diet, but I decided to allow myself some alcohol this time. The Classic Burger had a simple combination of coarse ground meat patty, cheese, and lettuce. It was a bit lacking in flavor, so I made sure to chew it well to savor the meatiness. I wished they had Tabasco, ketchup, and mustard to add more flavor. As for the live performance, I was there accompanying a friend. It was my first time meeting the artist, and I have to admit, he was really cool even though I haven't seen any of his dramas or movies. I was secretly hoping to spot his wife in the audience. It was my first time visiting since they allowed voice and standing, and I enjoyed the experience. I also checked out Billboard in Yokohama and found a live performance in September that I want to attend after having sushi in Hibiya. Hopefully, more of my favorite international artists will come to Japan in the future...

Let's get excited with Eric Benet after enjoying delicious meat! Since we're full, beer and mixed nuts are okay! Looking at the menu, there are quite a few tasty options lined up. But I'm not used to eating during live performances (laughs). I'm satisfied with this. The live performance was amazing. His singing was excellent! What caught my attention was the T-shirt he was wearing! It was a "Sailor Moon" T-shirt (laughs)! I couldn't help but notice it even while he was singing! Since my seat happened to be on the dressing room side, I was thrilled to even get a handshake after the performance. Live performances are the best! Thank you for the meal.

Hehe... The fashion here is too much and the music is too good. I admire the lifestyle of casually having a drink here and then heading home. Yes. The thin and crispy potato chips were to my liking. They were delicious~ I usually don't order cocktails, but I tried the recommended one for today and it was full of fruity flavors, a big hit. It was dark and hard to see the color well, but I'm sure it's a beautiful color when seen in a brighter place. Beers or whiskies with amber colors would look great in a place like this. Yeah.

By chance, I was invited to watch a live performance by the jazz unit Village of the Sun from the UK. I usually go to Billboard Live TOKYO, but I always sit in the casual seats, so I watch from above. This time, I sat in the free seating area on the first floor, at the same level as the artists, and enjoyed the live show slowly with a drink brought to me. It was nice to be able to enjoy the live performance at the same level as the artists.

Head to "Billboard Tokyo" on the 4th floor of Roppongi Midtown. Enjoy special cocktails that express the artist's world view. They also offer a wide range of alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, and cocktails. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is top-notch!

I used it at the Sara Oren live. I ordered a dressing room meal plate and a cocktail. The hamburger, fish dish, salad, and pasta salad were well done. The pasta sauce was delicious. The cocktail was the same as last time. It's a little sweet, but as the ice melts, it becomes just right.

I used it for the first time without knowing that it was inside Tokyo Midtown. It's more convenient to use the elevator to get to the 4th floor where the shops are located. The escalator requires you to go around to the opposite side on each floor (maybe to attract foot traffic to the shops on each floor?). On the opposite side of Phillip Mil, there is Billboard Live Tokyo. I bought a ticket at the entrance (advance purchase is also possible) and entered the venue. Since I arrived just before the show started, I only ordered a ginger ale (dry). Pre-payment is also possible with a QR code, but the checkout at the exit was not too crowded.

The second act started at 9 pm, and since I had already eaten, I had some alcohol and chocolate. The raspberry ganache chocolate was delicious. The view of the stage was obstructed by people's heads, just like last time. I would like to try the casual area next time.

I reserved tickets for "Yuki Koyanagi Billboard Live 2023" held at Billboard Live Tokyo, so I went there♪ I arrived at Billboard Live Tokyo in time for the 16:30 opening, went through the admission process, and took my seat♪ I had a DX counter seat where I could see the stage well from above♪ Since there was about an hour until the start, I decided to relax and have a meal while enjoying some drinks♪ I looked at the menu and ordered "Caesar salad (1,500 yen), white fish carpaccio (1,750 yen), Asahi Super Dry draft beer (1,200 yen)" and waited♪ The Asahi Super Dry draft beer and complimentary Glico Cratz arrived promptly♪ I enjoyed the Cratz with my beer♪ As the weather gets warmer, draft beer becomes more delicious, right (*'▽')♪♪ Then, the white fish carpaccio and Caesar salad arrived♪ I dug in♪ The Caesar salad had a good portion size, which was great for someone like me who needs more vegetables♪ The white fish carpaccio made with sea bream was refreshing and delicious (*^^)v I finished my draft beer, so I ordered "Jack Daniel's Black with soda (1,050 yen)"♪ It arrived quickly, and I enjoyed it with my food♪ I ordered a refill of Jack Daniel's Black with soda midway through♪ The live performance started at this point♪ I enjoyed Yuki Koyanagi's powerful and soulful singing while eating and drinking♪ After finishing the white fish carpaccio and Caesar salad, I ordered "Fish & French fries (half size) (1,500 yen), Jack Daniel's Black with soda (1,050 yen)"♪ The Jack Daniel's Black with soda arrived promptly, and while enjoying it, the Fish & French fries (half size) arrived♪ It was perfect for snacking while drinking)^o^( After a fun live performance of about 1.5 hours, I paid the food and drink bill of 10,010 yen (including service charge) with a card payment using the QR code and left the live venue♪ Thank you for the delicious meal tonightm(_ _)m

A few days ago, my wife went to see a live performance by Sting, where Sting's son, Joe Sumner, was also performing in the background. He invited us to visit Billboard Tokyo, so we decided to check it out. My wife had already been to a different artist's performance there, but it was my first time. I was curious to see what it was like. We had to order a dish in advance, so we chose the Shrimp Sandwich & Chips (called a Hot Live Box). It was delicious and perfect for enjoying with alcohol, but since we drove to the venue, I had to settle for a non-alcoholic beer. Looking at the menu, there were many other items I wanted to try, but we needed to focus on the live performance, so we stopped there. The live show itself was great, Joe Sumner has a good voice and is a talented artist. We had box seats on the 4th floor, which provided plenty of space to relax and enjoy the show.

My favorite artist came to Japan, so I went to Billboard Live Tokyo. It was a night show, so I had to do some work when I got home. I ordered a ginger ale as my first drink that came with the ticket. 20 minutes before the show started, I ordered a hot dog and my second drink. You order at the counter and pay there, then wait at your seat. I chose oolong tea to go with my hot dog. I enjoyed the approximately one-hour live performance with a light drink and snack.
