We visited a stylish French restaurant with the ambiance of a hidden traditional house for adults with my wife. The location is a 3-minute walk from Akabane Station in Kita-ku. It is located a little past the famous Senbero shopping street, and there is no signboard for the restaurant. The door is always locked, so we had to ring the doorbell. Upon opening the door, we were greeted by a wall-sized wine cooler, which was a surprising sight for wine lovers. The seating is on the second floor, which is like entering a different world with a luxurious and stylish ambiance. We ordered the Santa Vintage course (7000 yen) and the wine pairing (6000 yen) for myself since my wife doesn't drink alcohol. The course dishes in the stylish setting were exciting and started with a delicious soup made from new onions directly delivered from Inzai City, Chiba Prefecture. The first dish was a carpaccio of golden eye snapper and firefly squid, followed by a potato butter dish using Kinu Atari potatoes from Inzai. The fish dish was a sautéed mackerel with Van Prance sauce, and the meat dish was changed to a red deer roti from Ezo to Craft Meat Labo's aged pork foie gras. The meal ended with a cheese platter and red wine pairing. My wife had a strawberry dessert with coffee and tea. The pairing of selected French wines with each dish was excellent, making it a perfect restaurant for special occasions or important meetings. Overall, it was a fantastic experience enjoying exquisite French cuisine and fine wines at this hidden gem in Akabane, Kita-ku.

I went to a French restaurant that feels like the most hidden gem in life, and you might think it's expensive, right? Well, let me tell you... this French restaurant offers high quality courses and wine, and you can enjoy it for only 15,000 yen, which is an amazing deal! Plus, it's located in the drinking district of Akabane, tucked away with no sign or clear entrance! You have to ring the intercom to be let in, which makes it even more exciting. Once inside, you are greeted by a beautifully displayed selection of wines. The organic edamame potage soup was rich and flavorful, awakening my taste buds instantly. The kombu-cured golden eye snapper and bamboo shoot fritter with cherry blossom salt was a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The organic Kitaaakari "JYAGABATA" (potato butter) was like the most stylish potato dish ever, with a parsley butter filling that was aromatic and delicious. The saury and chrysanthemum soup was surprisingly refreshing and light, with a perfect balance of fish stock and chrysanthemum flavor. The Ezo deer roast with foie gras was a luxurious treat, with the foie gras complementing the tender deer meat perfectly. The cheese platter from various European regions was a delight for cheese lovers. The dessert or alcohol thief option at the end was a tough choice, but I went for the alcohol thief and it was a generous portion of delicious treats. The wonderful ambiance, great service, and excellent wine made for a luxurious yet comfortable dining experience. I want to keep this place a secret, but I can't wait to go back!

@tokyo_ol3 ❤️ This time, I found a restaurant in Akabane... It was so hard to find the place without a sign. In a hidden alley, I rang the intercom and the door opened. I got lost because there was no sign! ✔️ This time, I had a 7,000 yen course meal. Here's what I had: 【Appetizers】Firefly squid marinated with spring vegetables, Amberjack carpaccio with a light sear on top bringing out the flavor even more. 【Vegetables】Organic vegetable appetizer "JYAGABATA" where they shave cheese like a flower in front of you. 【Seafood】Mackerel meuniere with spring cabbage etuve soup where they pour the soup in front of you and top it with crushed cherry blossoms. 【Main Course】Ezo deer roast with foie gras, a main dish without any gaminess, tender and delicious. The foie gras melted in my mouth. 【Dessert or Cheese】Strawberry "Au lait" with tea sweets or a selection of 3 European cheeses. I chose the strawberry which had a lot of strawberries in it. The tea sweets were cute and made me even happier after the meal. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoCafe #Tokyo #TokyoDate #Akabane #AkabaneDinner #AkabaneDate #AkabaneFrench #AkabaneLunch #AkabaneIzakaya #AkabaneReview #TokyoFrench #suntvintage

I found a wonderful restaurant in Akabane with a great selection of soups and appetizers, as well as plenty of fresh vegetables in every dish. The food had a perfect balance of volume and was all delicious. It felt like a different world in Akabane with such attention to detail and sense of style. I can't believe this place is in Akabane. The atmosphere was lovely and I highly recommend it for special occasions or even for everyday dining. I would love to go back again.

There are some restaurants that offer wine to accompany each course of the meal, and I recently visited one of them. I must admit that I have an unrefined palate, so I couldn't really appreciate the pairing of the dishes and wines. However, I was thrilled to have as much truffle shaved onto my dish as I wanted (of course, with an additional charge). The venison dish turned out to be more refined and elegant than I had expected.

I had a course meal for lunch. I didn't know there was such a stylish authentic French restaurant in Akabane! Each dish was filled with the chef's dedication and was very delicious. Luxurious ingredients were abundantly used, giving a sense of satisfaction. Despite being authentic French, the restaurant has a casual atmosphere, making it very comfortable. It feels like discovering a place where you can easily go when you want to eat stylish French food. It's a hidden gem! Excellent. Thank you for the delicious dishes! I will visit again soon.

Located in a side street off the drinking district of Akabane, this stylish hidden gem French restaurant is a real treat! The interior is chic, but the atmosphere is welcoming and not too intimidating. As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a large, sparkling wine cellar boasting over 1,000 bottles of 500 different wines, a rare find in Akabane. Today, we tried the "Santa Vintage Selection Course" which included: - Choshi Fishing Port Kombu-marinated Kinmedai Carpaccio: The Kinmedai was seared to perfection, with a crispy skin and a delicious contrast of flavors. - Shiba Sea Farm in Chiba Prefecture Taro: A surprising dish that took a traditional Japanese dish and recreated it with a French twist. The deep-fried taro had a sweet caramelized onion base and was served with a sauce made from ham and taro broth. - Hamada Port in Shimane Prefecture Ainame Meuniere Bouillabaisse: The fluffy and sweet Ainame fish was served in a rich bouillabaisse that was so flavorful, you'd want to drink it like soup. - Ezo Deer Roast Foie Gras Poêlé: The smoked Ezo deer and foie gras were a delightful combination, with the deer meat having a mild flavor and the foie gras being juicy and delicious. - BONNE PECHE BLANC: A delicious and easy-to-drink French wine with a fresh and fruity taste, perfect for pairing with the meal.

【SunT Vintage】Opened at the end of September 2022! A hidden gem wine restaurant without a signboard, incorporating the essence of Japanese cuisine, offering modern French cuisine with a focus on seasonal organic vegetables and Ezo deer directly delivered by hunters. Enjoy wine pairing with a wine list that is second to none in Akabane and the chef's carefully selected ingredients that incorporate a Japanese taste into a seasonal and modern French cuisine, as well as wine pairing by a sommelier. Indulge in hearty and delicate dishes along with carefully selected wines with all five senses. The dishes are hearty and delicate. I ordered a course meal that was packed with the chef's commitment, featuring Ezo deer directly delivered by hunters as the main dish, incorporating the essence of Japanese cuisine and plenty of locally sourced fresh fish and seasonal vegetables from organic farms. Here are some highlights from the course: - Spinach bite-sized potage - Chiba Prefecture Shibakai Farm-grown "NIKKOROGASHI" taro - Choshi Fishing Port's nodogro in bouillabaisse style - Roasted Ezo deer directly delivered by hunter Saito with foie gras - Vacherin "SunT" Blanc dessert The taro cooked and fried, sautéed new onions, new onion sauce, and taro jelly harmonize beautifully. The new onions are incredibly sweet, and the sauce is too beautiful. The bouillabaisse-style soup poured over the favorite high-quality fish nodogro from Choshi Fishing Port is so luxurious that you'll want to soak in it. The deer from Ezo has no gamey taste, it's tender and easy to eat, especially when paired with crispy foie gras. The vegetables served with it are full of umami and have a satisfying texture. The dessert, Vacherin "SunT" Blanc, is too stylish, with meringue and white chocolate infused with wine, giving it a taste that is too adult to keep up with. The wine list includes over 500 types and more than 1000 bottles. The restaurant is adorned with wine everywhere, creating an overwhelming and stylish atmosphere that will surely excite wine lovers. The Domaine Marie Demets CHAMPAGNE Tradition is a wine favored by British VIPs, including the likes of Paul McCartney of The Beatles. Even though I'm not an expert, I loved it. If you're a fan of celebrities, be sure to visit this adult space perfect for dates, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Lunch courses are available from 4,000 yen, making it easy to try. It's so good that you'll forget it's in Akabane, in a good way. Don't miss this hidden gem modern French restaurant in Akabane! Items ordered: - Selected course meal (with some changes) 7,000 yen Wines: - Domaine Marie Demets CHAMPAGNE Tradition (sparkling/white) - MARSANNAY ROSE (rosé) - E.10-S.65 Riesling V.V. (Soil Therapy) Genre: French, Wine Bar Address: 1-38-8 Akabane, Kita-ku, Tokyo Access: 4-minute walk from Akabane Station Business hours: Tue-Sun 12:00-15:00, Tue-Sat 18:00-3:00 Closed: Irregular holidays If you want to visit this restaurant, don't forget to save this post by clicking the save button ☝️ Follow us @sunt_vintage #AkabaneGourmet #AkabaneLunch #AkabaneDinner #AkabaneFrench #AkabaneDate #AkabaneHiddenRestaurant #SunTVintage #TokyoGourmet #TokyoLunch #TokyoDinner #TokyoDe

I can't believe there's such a wonderful shop in Akabane! There's no signboard, but when you ring the chime and the door opens, you can see the name of the shop and think, "Ah, that's the right place." The course menu includes delicious ingredients from all over Japan and elements of Japanese cuisine. Each dish is made with carefully selected ingredients and looks so cute and charming! There is a long lineup of wines, and wine lovers should definitely visit. There are apparently 500 types and over 1,000 bottles of wine. The sommelier explained everything in detail and it was really enjoyable.

I went to a newly opened restaurant in Akabane. The restaurant is hidden and looks like a secret place at first glance. You have to ring the chime and tell them your reservation name for the door to open. Inside, there is a huge wine cellar and a very sophisticated atmosphere. I ordered the 7,000 yen course and a red wine. The course consisted of 5 dishes (with free bread refills). The first dish was very elaborate and surprising. I was particularly impressed by the whitefish and burdock pancake and the NIKKOROGASHI taro pancake. The combination of whitefish and pancake was surprisingly harmonious and delicious. The chef's creativity in turning traditional Japanese dishes into French cuisine was truly impressive. The dishes were filled with surprises and discoveries, and the attention to detail in the tableware and glasses was evident. The chef's dedication to using seasonal vegetables from affiliated farms was also noteworthy. The restaurant is planning to become a members-only establishment in the future, so I recommend visiting before that happens. It costs 5,000 yen to become a member, which I think is worth it. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

I visited SunT Vintage, a French restaurant located a 3-minute walk from Akabane Station. This restaurant is known for having over 1,000 bottles of 500 different wines, making it a rare find in the Senbero district of Akabane. Upon entering the restaurant, I was impressed by the impressive wine cellar. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I opted for the 7,000 yen course menu, which included a variety of dishes. The Norweigan salmon mille-feuille was delicious, and the Matsukasa-grilled sweet sea bream from Hamada Port in Shimane Prefecture was a standout. The duck breast with foie gras was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. The strawberry parfait served as a delightful dessert to end the meal. Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with the dining experience at SunT Vintage.

I went to eat French cuisine in Akabane~ It was so fancy✨ They have 400 types of wine there‼️ The first floor, other than the kitchen area, is packed with a wine cellar, it's amazing!!! Whether you can eat the main dish of Ezo deer depends on Saito-san! It was incredibly delicious with no gamey taste❤️ The aroma was really nice✨ For the course (7,000 yen), I recommend the drink pairing (6,000 yen) so you can enjoy various types of wine. It was so stylish to put wine in the strawberry parfait for dessert♡ It was refreshing to see wine lovers using it for their second party in Akabane☺️--------------------------------------------------Thank you for reading the review. I hope it can be a starting point for delicious meals for everyone☺️ It would be encouraging to receive likes and comments!--------------------------------------------------

This shop here makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of Akabane. The hidden gem with no signboard. Press the intercom, and a hidden door will open. The interior is dimly lit and very moody. It's super stylish. The course I ordered was as follows: - Santa vintage selected course meal 7,000 yen (tax included) ▶︎ Amberjack Mikiyui Half-cooked with a torch right in front of you. The Madeira and balsamic sauce caramelizes beautifully on the surface. The amberjack was incredibly fatty and melted in the mouth. Underneath was a puree of red sweet potatoes. The smooth sweetness of the sweet potato gently enveloped the sauce with a hint of acidity. ▶︎ Potato salad A DIY potato salad. The soft-boiled egg with a runny yolk is amazing. Mix the soft-boiled egg with potatoes, vegetables, and mayonnaise. The chunky vegetables and sweet cherry tomatoes were delightful. The crispy bacon added a nice touch. ▶︎ Red snapper Matsumaki-yaki with bouillabaisse The final touch is done right in front of you. The orange-colored soup spreading on the plate is beautiful. "Matsumaki-yaki" is a cooking method that intentionally leaves the scales on the fish. The scales were crispy, and the flesh was tender. It paired perfectly with the rich seafood soup. ▶︎ Duck and foie gras poêlé Finally, the main course. You could choose between venison or duck. I chose duck. The live preparation was impressive. The duck was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The foie gras melted in the mouth, and the aroma of truffle was divine. A truly luxurious dish. ▶︎ Strawberry parfait Definitely high-quality strawberries. Fresh and refreshing. The cold strawberry ice cream was also delightful. ▶︎ Tea sweets Dark chocolate, banana cake, sesame macaron. (If you prefer savory snacks over sweets, you can choose a cheese platter). The sesame macaron had a nice sesame aroma. It was delightful to enjoy it with tea. In a calm and relaxing atmosphere, from start to finish, it was a blissful moment. It's hard to believe it's in Akabane. The special atmosphere makes it suitable for anniversaries or adult dates. They also have a wide selection of wines, so it's recommended for wine lovers too.

Located just past the drinking district of Akabane, this wine bar opened just last year. With no signage outside, make sure to rely on a map to find it! Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a wine cellar with 1000 bottles on display, instantly boosting your mood! This time, we opted for the course meal paired with wine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, offering insights on both food and wine. Our order included: - Tonight's Meal ¥7,000 - Ehime-produced Teriyaki Yellowtail - Chiba-grown Potesara with an additional caviar option - Matsukasa-style Bream from Hamada Port in Shimane - Directly-sourced Ezo deer or French duck breast with foie gras, with an option to add Italian fresh truffles - Strawberry parfait with a warm drink and tea sweets. - Special Wine Pairing ¥6,000 For more information: SunT Vintage 050-5890-7577 1-38-8 Akabane, Kita-ku, Tokyo. #AkabaneFineDining #AkabaneWine #AkabaneRestaurant #AkabaneAnniversary #AkabaneGourmet #AkabaneDinner #AkabaneDate #suntvintage

This is a hidden gem located in the back of Ichiban-gai at Akabane Station. There are no signs, so you need to ring the chime on the right side of the door before entering. The interior has a chic and calm atmosphere, with many wine bottles lined up near the entrance. The restaurant mainly offers set courses, and this time I tried the Chef's Omakase Course for 7000 yen paired with a special selection wine pairing for 6000 yen. The course menu included: - Mushroom Potage Soup served as an appetizer, rich and flavorful. - Boeuf Frere paired with a Pinot Noir Champagne, fresh and fruity. - Yellowtail Teriyaki with a Madiera and balsamic sauce, soft and flavorful. - Spatburgunder Trocken paired with a salad, light and easy to drink. - Potato Salad "Potesara" made with Kitaaakari potatoes, delicious and filling. - Prager Hinter der Burg Gruner Veltliner Federspiel, a fresh and fruity white wine. - Red Seabream Matsukasa-yaki in Bouillabaisse style, rich and flavorful. - Bolgheri Rosso Grattamacco from Tuscany, with a rich and spicy flavor. - Ezo Deer Foie Gras Poele, tender and flavorful. - Chateauneuf-du-Pape from the Rhone region, with sweet tannins and a hint of acidity. - European Cheese Platter with 3 varieties. This place offers a different atmosphere from the usual in Akabane, perfect for special occasions like anniversaries. The staff are knowledgeable about wine and provide great recommendations. If you're looking for a slightly luxurious dining experience near Akabane, be sure to check this place out. They also have an Instagram account, so feel free to take a look and follow them.
