I have visited Onoda Shoten many times in the past, but it had been a while since I moved further away. When I visited Onoda Shoten after a long time, everything was incredibly salty. About an hour into the meal, I was asked to change seats. I agreed, thinking there must have been a good reason, but then two women were seated at the table next to me, while the table next to them remained empty...??? It was the first time in my long life that I had been asked to change seats during a meal. And all this while the meat was sizzling on the grill... My anticipated enjoyable meal on my day off turned into a disappointing experience. They definitely fell below the minimum standard. I will not be going there again.

Popular yakiniku restaurant "Onoda Shoten" in Naka-Meguro! Founded by the creator of Nikuyama in Kichijoji. While the Gakugeidaigaku branch is good, the Naka-Meguro branch is highly recommended!! The atmosphere is relaxed and not too formal. This place serves fresh and delicious meat and horumon no matter what you order, making it a place where you can proudly say "good quality at a good price". The meat is already seasoned, so you can eat it as soon as it's cooked. The beef cheek meat is flavorful and has a reddish hue, while the crispy fatty meat is a must-try for offal lovers. The pork throat meat is worth getting seconds of! The spiciness is soft and rich, truly delicious!! All drinks are only 500 yen and there is a wide variety, making it a great recommendation for those who love to drink! The friendly atmosphere of the staff is nice, and most importantly, the taste is amazing. The interior is mostly counter seating, so it may be best to go as a pair. Honestly, there are many places with strict rules, but if you really want to enjoy delicious yakiniku in Naka-Meguro, be sure to visit here!!

It was my first time in a month at Onoda Shoten. This time I had morokyu (a must-have in the summer!), pork throat meat (incredibly delicious!), tripe (the crunchy texture is amazing), beef cheek meat (rich in flavor), fatty crunchy (those who like fatty meat will love it ♡), pork throat meat (I had seconds!), spicy miso (tender and rich! Delicious!), I enjoyed beer and shochu, and was completely satisfied with the horumon (offal).

Onoda Shoten is a place that I have been to countless times, probably around 50 times in the past 10 years. The balance is always reliable. When I go alone, I usually order thick-cut heart, liver, kalbi, soup ochazuke, and cucumber with meat miso. And of course, sweet potato shochu on the rocks! Lately, when I bring someone along, we can try a variety of dishes like simmered dishes, assorted plates, and tongue. I feel like the nagaimo (long yam) has changed its shape, is it just me? One time, a friend who came from far away was delayed due to a train accident, and I ended up ordering too much, so I had to leave some food uneaten for the first time, which I felt bad about. By the way, they also offer half-size portions for individuals. Since it tends to get crowded, it's better to avoid going during peak hours. I visited a few times during the pandemic, and I was glad to see that Onoda-san was doing well. It's amazing to be able to eat at this price despite the rising cost of food. On this particular day, I ended up quite tipsy after having 3 glasses of shochu on the rocks and 2 beers. It may be a bit difficult to order shochu if you're seated at the back, but if you ask the staff, they will recommend something for you and even show you the bottles. I used to live in Naka-Meguro and often dined out or drank alone, and I think this is my favorite place. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It became so popular that I couldn't get a reservation even before the pandemic, but I finally managed to book a table for June 2023 after the end of the pandemic! I'm so happy! I used to go to the store in Gakugeidaigaku, but I still prefer the Naka-Meguro store. It all started with mozzarella cheese, then we had beef tongue, liver, harami, and korikori... With beer and shochu, it was a perfect moment.

A great value yakiniku restaurant in Naka-Meguro. I stumbled upon it by chance and decided to visit, but found out that you need to make a reservation in advance to get a table. So, I made a reservation and visited later. When making the reservation, they asked me to order at least 3000 yen worth of food and drinks per person. I was a bit surprised by this request, but when I visited, I understood why. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered some snacks like cucumber, which turned out to be incredibly tasty. Then, they brought out a 9-course set meal. The main course was the yakiniku, and it was amazing. Every type of meat was fresh, large, and delicious. They also had some uncommon cuts of meat available, so I recommend trying them out.

The best tasting hormone at a good cost-performance ratio, with a cozy and friendly atmosphere thanks to the staff. The counter-style seating inside is great for dining with two people. The upper part of the beef tongue, the skirt meat, and the pork throat were all excellent. The thick-cut tongue was also delicious. I want to keep coming back here. Even after eating and drinking a lot, the bill should be around 5000 yen per person.

I casually stumbled upon a yakiniku restaurant that was hard to reserve and find the entrance to (lol). The salted hormone without sauce was delicious, made with carefully selected ingredients. The off-menu beef tongue was a 9-piece assortment that allowed you to taste the different cuts in perfect balance. The egg over rice, kimchi, and shallots were also great. The soup rice at the end filled me up! Ah, it was delicious! Thank you for the blissful moment! I bow my head and say, "Thank you for the meal." Ebisu Shime.

The meat was undeniably delicious, but I felt quite exhausted due to the reservation process and the rules upon entering the restaurant. I also felt pressured as the staff constantly checked on us, and I didn't enjoy it as much as I had expected. However, considering the recent decline in customer manners, I understand that popular restaurants need to take defensive measures. I thought that if I visited more often, I would get used to it and enjoy it more.

Is there anywhere that can beat the cost performance of the hormones here? The manager is very friendly. Tan and Harami are a must-order. The liver and copchang in the hormone dishes were very delicious. The curry for the finale too! It's a bit disappointing that they don't have highballs.

The charcoal grilling is done perfectly thanks to the 300 yen ink cost per person! There is a rule that a minimum order of 3,000 yen per person is required, but it's worth it for the quality of meat you get! There is a 3,000 yen cancellation fee for cancelling on the day of reservation. A confirmation phone call on the reservation day is necessary. The staff are very kind and friendly. All the meat is seasoned perfectly. Everything was delicious, but my personal recommendations are the thick-cut beef tongue, top harami, top nanban cow tongue shita, heart sashimi (lightly cooked), Japanese beef shoulder roast with crunchy fat, harami asparagus, and more! I look forward to trying the hormone and curry that I couldn't eat today next time! 3 draft beers, 1 draft lemon sour, white kimchi soup, and tea pickles.

The restaurant seems to be divided into two sessions, so it's better to make a reservation. When you make a reservation, they might tell you that orders over 3000 yen, including alcohol, are required. The entrance door is full of atmosphere. There are tables in the back, with the main counter. I really liked the atmosphere inside the restaurant and the staff's service! As for the order: Hormone platter with 9 types (beef tripe, pork guts, beef tongue, beef small intestine, beef heart, pork belly, beef tongue, pork throat, pork breast), fatty tripe, extra beef heart, raw liver, and several drinks, totaling probably less than 7000 yen. The amount was sufficient, and the taste was satisfying. Among them, the pork breast was outstanding. Squeeze and suck the tender pork breast. The melting fat and texture are irresistible. The best was the beef heart. It was amazing. It was juicy like a good steak, rather than just heart. I couldn't get enough of the 9 types platter, so I ordered extra and was extremely satisfied. I was impressed by the yakiniku after a long time. It was of high satisfaction, almost on par with or even surpassing Yuji in Shibuya. Great value for money, amazing taste, and a wonderful atmosphere inside the restaurant. Overall, a very high score. Thank you for the meal!

It had been a while since my last visit! The menu had changed, and the restaurant, which used to offer great value for money, had increased its prices quite a bit. Meat dishes, which used to be all 500 yen, were now 550 yen each (excluding tax). It seemed like the meat portions had also gotten smaller. In addition, there were limited edition items priced from 1,000 to 1,200 yen, and a charcoal fee of 300 yen. In the end, the bill for two people came to 15,000 yen. It used to be around 11,000 yen before, so I don't think it can be considered the best value for money anymore. With this amount, I might consider trying a different restaurant instead.

It was incredibly delicious! The meat was tender and flavorful without any unpleasant smell. The counter seats were full of customers, so it's better to bring minimal belongings. There is a place to hang coats separately, which they kindly informed me about. When making a reservation, they mentioned it would be around 3000 yen per person, but the food was so good that I didn't mind spending that amount. Some pieces were a bit hard to chew, so I thought it would have been nice to have scissors to cut them. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced, mostly around 500 yen each. It would have been great if they offered additional charcoal for grilling. I preferred it without pepper, so I'll ask for that next time I visit. I definitely want to go back to this delicious yakiniku restaurant. Thank you so much!
