Whenever I pass by, I can't help but stop by... (*´艸`)✨ [Assorted Sausages] [Assorted Prosciutto Ham] [Ripe Niagara] Niagara is sweet and delicious, so I end up ordering it every time! Highly recommended!

This shop along the Otaru Canal was perfect in terms of atmosphere, food, and the friendliness of the staff! I mainly had the pilsner beer which was very easy to drink. The food also went well with the beer and I couldn't stop eating! I definitely want to visit again.

My spouse and I visited this restaurant. It was lunchtime and they said, "We'll have to wait for about 30 minutes..." Truly a popular place. However, we were seated after waiting for just over 5 minutes. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and relaxing. The staff's service and attention to detail are excellent. The menu is separated between lunch and dinner, and the lunch service menu seemed like a good deal. Although they had a wide selection of wines, we had to settle for iced coffee and pasta since we came by car. The pasta had an exquisite taste and was cooked to perfection. The seasoning brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients while adding an elegant touch. We finished our meal without getting tired of it. My companion was also very satisfied, and we will definitely be coming back. Next time, we will come for dinner.

An antique building serves as the backdrop for a restaurant that highlights wine and cuisine. The wine selection focuses on Hokkaido varieties, offering a range from sweet to spicy. There are also many types of cheese to choose from, adding to the enjoyable experience of deciding what to eat. The blue cheese with squid ink was delicious!

I made a reservation and went to eat lunch. I ordered a curry-flavored pizza with Hokkaido scallops in Genovese sauce. The pizza had a crispy crust and the curry flavor was something I had never tried before, but it was delicious. The scallops were so good that they truly reminded me of Hokkaido. The restaurant was located in an old, charming building with a great atmosphere.

In the midst of the rain, I passed the time with a glass of sweet and fruity Niagara sparkling wine at a small bar in Otaru. It was around 3 PM and the place was not crowded due to the rainy weather. I decided to order a platter of prosciutto ham and a half carafe of red wine to pass the time until 5 PM when I planned to move on to the next bar. It had been many years since I last visited this place, probably around 20 years ago, and my memories of it were faint.

When I checked the restaurant reservation site, it said there were no available reservations, but when I called, I was able to make a reservation. Even on the day of the visit, there were still plenty of empty seats, so I was able to relax and enjoy my time. The cheese had recommended pairings, making it easy to order wine as well. There was also a wine shop on site, so it's nice to purchase some on the way out, or even check it out before entering the restaurant and order some to try while dining.

You can enjoy fresh flavors of Otaru and local wines from Hokkaido. I ordered the wine of the day, which had a grape-like freshness and fruity taste, giving the impression of freshly harvested wine. Initially, I planned to taste tiramisu and red wine, but the wine was so delicious that I also ordered white wine. I couldn't resist trying the cheese fondue that I had been curious about, even though I had planned to have it later. The cheese fondue was a size for two people with enough ingredients for two, but it was also a portion that one person could finish. The wine, food, and dessert were all delicious and reasonably priced, leaving me satisfied. The restaurant is located in a renovated building that used to be a financial institution, giving off a retro vibe with a sense of solidity in both its exterior and interior. It's a great place with easy access from tourist spots!

I drank a glass of red wine. It was fruity, aromatic, and easy to drink, so I couldn't help but have another glass. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, and I really enjoyed it. The pasta was very rich and satisfying. The meaty Bolognese was incredibly powerful.

During lunch at GW, if it's past 2 pm, you can't order food and it becomes cafe time, so be careful. The restaurant wasn't crowded and there were plenty of empty seats. I ordered a Margherita pizza with mozzarella topping. The pizza itself had a mild flavor, so I thought the mozzarella would have a strong salty taste, but it was actually quite bland. It lacked a fresh taste and didn't really bring out the flavor of the mozzarella. The Niagara sparkling wine was really delicious.

I really like this shop in Otaru. The prices are very reasonable, which is a relief considering there are many shops in Otaru with higher prices. I love that you can try various types of cheese in small portions and that you can enjoy Hokkaido wine. The cuisine mainly focuses on Western dishes like pasta and pizza. They also have daily specials. The steak set is a great deal. For 2300 yen, you get an appetizer, salad, bread, steak, and a drink. The steak was very tasty and satisfying. I would like to come back for lunch next time because the lunch menu looks good too.

I had lunch. The lunch set is quite a good deal. The meat dish and fish dish with homemade bread or rice are each 1100 yen, the salad and drink set is 300 yen, and you can also add a lunch dessert for 300 yen. Since I came all the way to Otaru, I ordered the full meat dish. Today's meat dish was lamb stewed in tomato, and the portion was so large that in Tokyo it would have easily cost over 2800 yen haha. I was quite full after eating half of it. There are two types of homemade bread. It was delicious to eat the meat dish with the sauce. The salad indeed had greens, potatoes, and macaroni in a combination of three. I actually didn't order the cheese fondue, but when I asked the staff, they said it was a large portion and not recommended for one person, so I gave up. Too bad... (If the regular lunch set is this large, then the cheese fondue must be really dangerous! Thanks to the staff for stopping me!) I will definitely come back if I have the chance! ps. It's off topic, but I think all the young staff here have really good-looking faces haha.

Built in 1912, the former Hokkaido Bank main branch building is now used as a wine cafe located on the colorful Nijo-dori Street, known as the Wall Street of the North. The exterior color has been reproduced to match the original color from when it was first constructed. The weekly lunch menu is priced at 1,100 yen. During the day, you can enjoy reasonably priced white, red, and rosé wines made from 100% Hokkaido grapes. [Order] - Angel's Tears Niagara (¥700) - Lunch special red wine (¥350) - Margherita pizza (¥950) * Additional mozzarella cheese on the Margherita pizza (¥330) To start, cheers with a fruit beer that combines Niagara wine and beer for a mild bitterness. Although I was torn between the cream spaghetti with snow crab, I decided to order the classic Margherita pizza. The Margherita pizza is reasonably priced and topped with cheese from Shiranuka. The service is quick, with the pizza arriving in about 10 minutes. The crust is thin and chewy, complementing the basil and rich cheese perfectly for a great wine pairing. [Summary] Upon adding as a friend on LINE, you can enjoy a complimentary drink (coffee or a glass of wine). The menu offers a variety of options such as wine tasting, the famous pine cheese fondue, and a cake set for 700 yen. With free Wi-Fi available, feel free to stop by and check it out. Instagram@moritapan7 also features videos.

Today, I visited Otaru for sightseeing and enjoyed Hokkaido wine at a shop called "Otaru Vine" located in a Meiji-era stone building. The ikura and sake cream pasta is priced at market value. #Otaru #OtaruGourmet #OtaruSightseeing #OtaruVine #Canal #Hokkaido #HokkaidoWine #DomesticWine #WantToConnectWithWineLovers #WantToConnectWithFoodies #HokkaidoTravel #BusinessTrip #WantToConnectWithTravelLovers #foodie #winelover #lunch #traveler #travelling #japan #HokkaidoIsHuge

Otaru City Shokuuchi Wine & Cafe Otaru Bain is currently under renovation, so it was not possible to see the exterior, but this is a historical building that used to be the former Hokkaido Bank headquarters. This area used to be known as the "Wall Street of the North." Ordered: - Angel's Drop 560 - Sapporo Classic 700 - Bain Salad 1100 - Squid Tempura 500 - Taste Comparison Set of Hokkaido Craft Beers 1730 Impressions: This place offers a variety of Hokkaido wines, with a focus on the company's "Niagara" brand. I came here to try "Angel's Drop," which is not widely available in other places. The beer made with Niagara grapes is surprisingly good, with a fruity and refreshing taste. The Sapporo Classic beer was also excellent. The food was served quickly, and the Bain salad with plenty of shrimp and squid was delicious and filling. The squid tempura was crispy and went well with the beer. I also tried a wine tasting set with three different wines: 1. Tzvai & Pinot Noir by Masanobu Tasaki 2. Regent by Tomiji Shishido 3. Kerner by Hideki Kitajima Each wine had its own unique flavor profile, and I personally preferred the Tzvai & Pinot Noir. My companion enjoyed the Kerner wine. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a nice atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived a little early for my 18:30 reservation. Initially, I wasn't asked anything and was told, "We are fully booked today." I mentioned that I had a reservation, and after a brief exchange, I was casually seated at a table. I ordered five dishes: marinated herring, potatoes with raclette cheese, bain salad, Hokkaido scallops with Genovese sauce, and seafood pizza. The speed at which the dishes were brought out was unusually fast, and by 18:45, all the dishes were already on the table. While it's better than waiting a long time for food, it was almost too quick. I wished they had taken a bit more time to see how we were progressing with our meal before bringing out the next dish. This restaurant is focused on wine, as evidenced by the attached wine shop. It may not be the best fit for those who don't drink alcohol like us. I could imagine some customers buying wine they enjoyed from the shop to take home. Honestly, the food tasted decent today, but I think it would have been more enjoyable with wine. Lastly, the building housing this Otaru Bain restaurant had a plaque outside indicating it is a designated historical building by Otaru City. I thought taking photos inside would have added to the sense of history, but the restaurant was full of customers, so I refrained from taking interior photos. I may or may not revisit this restaurant, so I rated it 3.6 out of 5.

When you get tired of eating seafood, try the sea urchin pasta. In Otaru, there are several places where you can eat sea urchin pasta, but some places with empty seats still claim to be fully booked. Otaru Bain is a clean restaurant with delicious food. You can enjoy the best pasta with sea urchin sauce and topped with sea urchin. Lunch is recommended.

I didn't go to Otaru Canal and headed straight here. Beer is good, but for now, I tried the Premium Campbell for 510 yen, and the Limited Pinot & Rondo for 680 yen. The rosé wine is sweet and tastes like juice, while the red wine is dry. I don't have much time, so I drank it quickly. Otaru seems like a good place for a walk, with many fun-looking shops around.

When I traveled to Otaru, I had dinner at this restaurant! There were hardly any customers due to the pandemic... It's a shame because the food was so delicious! The retro and cozy atmosphere of the interior, along with all the dishes being delicious. I was particularly impressed by the pasta with porcini mushrooms. I was surprised by how well the flavor of the porcini mushrooms had permeated the dish. It was true that "the more you chew, the better it tastes"! I really want to eat it again. All the dishes looked so delicious that I ate them quickly and only took a picture of the first dish we ordered, which is a regret...
