Located about a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station, this dessert shop offers matcha sweets✨ ◯Order ・Uji Matcha Tiramisu (drink set) 1,100 yen ・Iced Coffee A refined sweet with a moist base, soft cream, and a layer of matcha powder on top. The sweetness is mild and easy to eat, very delicious. Thank you for the meal. Surprisingly, the coffee was also delicious✨

It's Saturday afternoon in Asakusa. I had Char Siu noodles at a Chinese ramen shop near the Nitenmoku intersection. It was a bit salty, but with the amount of sweating I'll be doing outside, it might be just right for this season. After that, I walked around Nakamise Street to burn off some calories and came across this willow tea shop. The inside was full, but they allowed outdoor seating, so I ordered a cold matcha chocolate. The guy at the register made it carefully, despite his clumsy hands. Sipping on it on the street corner, the matcha was cold and delicious. However, it was a bit disappointing that the cream and chocolate were at room temperature. But I guess that's unavoidable in this season... I returned the empty cup to the shop and decided to wander around the Rokku area. And that's it, thanks for the meal.

It was crowded on Saturday afternoon. Despite the scorching heat, I managed to enter the restaurant within 10 minutes as the person in front of me left. The seating was done after ordering, so if it's full, you wait until a seat becomes available. I ordered the Matcha Azuki Shiratama Float, which was recommended by the staff. The matcha soft serve and red bean were rich and delicious, with crispy rice cakes adding a nice touch. However, I was a bit disappointed to find large chunks of ice underneath the ice cream. But when I mixed the leftover matcha with the syrup, it tasted great. It would be nice if they also offered shaved ice on such hot days!

I visited a tea shop where you can easily enjoy delicious matcha treats. I ordered matcha tiramisu and a hot coffee. The shop had plenty of seating and the atmosphere was cozy. The other menu items looked tasty too, so I would like to try them in the future.

In Asakusa, there are many shops that handle matcha, but this one stands out with its spacious and relaxing interior. The prices are not cheap, but the shaved ice has a refreshing taste with red bean and matcha cream foam. The drinks have a stronger cream flavor than matcha.

The atmosphere of the shop was a bit crowded but clean. This time, I ordered a hojicha latte, matcha tiramisu, and shaved ice. Personally, I found the hojicha latte a bit bitter, so I think it would be better to add the gum syrup available at the shop. The matcha tiramisu was not too sweet or bitter, and very delicious. The matcha shaved ice was also very tasty, but the portion was quite large and it started to melt towards the end, so it might be difficult for one person to finish it all. You can enjoy two different flavors by adding black honey as a flavor change!

Visited around 3:00 PM on Saturday. It was raining in Asakusa until around 2:00 PM on that day. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before being able to enter the store. We ordered first, then found a seat. The system was that when our number on the receipt was called, we went to the counter to pick up our order. Our number was called in about 10-15 minutes. I chose the Uji Matcha Shiratama hot drink set, which cost 1,309 yen including tax. The warm Uji Matcha Shiratama came with a side of salted kelp. The Shiratama was large and delicious, with gold leaf on top. It was quite sweet, and the red beans added a nice touch. It was quite filling with three large Shiratama balls. My partner ordered the Uji Matcha Tiramisu drink set, which cost 1,089 yen including tax. The tiramisu was served in a wooden box, with a layer of matcha powder on top of creamy cheese and matcha sponge. The cheese cream had a unique taste that was interesting.

This is located in Asakusa Shin-Nakamise Arcade. When in Asakusa, you have to visit a matcha tea shop, right? So, I went to Yanagi Chaya that I found in Shin-Nakamise Arcade. I was specifically looking for the matcha tiramisu served in a wooden box that was on the sign outside the shop!! The interior of the shop has a Japanese feel but with a modern touch. The matcha tiramisu in the wooden box exceeded my expectations with its creamy texture!! Since it's served in a box, there's no need to worry about it collapsing, so it's okay for it to be so creamy! Maybe this could even be considered a drink?

I tried entering this stylish dessert shop with a spacious interior and a view of the arcade street. It's a matcha sweets shop. You order at the register, wait for your number to be called, and then pick up your order at the counter. - Uji Matcha Shiratama (Hot): Three large shiratama dumplings!!! The sweet, creamy matcha sauce coats the shiratama well. The red bean paste surprisingly had a bit of saltiness, which paired nicely with the sweet matcha. The addition of salted kelp was a nice touch. The shiratama dumplings were too big to eat in one bite, so I cut them into smaller pieces on a small plate. One of the three dumplings was slightly too firm, which was a bit disappointing. - Houjicha Tea: I visited in the early evening before a live show, and the portion was just right for a satisfying energy boost.

Located in Asakusa, "Yanagi Chaya" is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop that has been around since the Edo period. One of their signature Japanese sweets, "Anmitsu," is a cold and sweet dessert made with tofu, matcha, and sweet red bean paste. The texture is silky smooth like tofu and the gentle sweetness melts in your mouth instantly. The balance of flavors from the matcha and sweet red bean paste is exquisite, making it a delicious treat for Japanese confectionery lovers. The interior of the shop has a traditional charm, and even if you visit alone, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere and the refined elegance unique to a long-established shop.

-----------------------Yanagi Tea House Asakusa Station 227m ● Uji Matcha Tiramisu ¥718 ● Matcha Shaved Ice (Limited Time Only) ⏳ Business Hours: 10:00-18:00 (Last Order 17:00) ----------------------- This was my second visit to Yanagi Tea House. Despite the usual image of long lines, the interior of the shop was cool and comfortable during my visit in the middle of summer. It was great to be able to enjoy the consistently blissful matcha sweets. If you're feeling tired from food hopping in Asakusa, I recommend taking a break here. #YanagiTeaHouse #TokyoFood #TokyoCafe #TokyoLunch #TokyoSightseeing #Asakusa #AsakusaFood #AsakusaFoodHopping #AsakusaCafe #AsakusaLunch #AsakusaShavedIce #AsakusaDate #AsakusaSweets #MatchaSweets #MatchaCafe #MatchaShavedIce

I visited for lunch. The sudachi udon looked delicious... I was swayed by the advertisement. Although there was a line, the restaurant was actually empty inside. I ordered the sudachi udon set. It was reasonably priced but small... which makes sense for the price. Unfortunately, the self-service water was not cold at all. I ordered cold udon, but it was not cold. This was surprising. It was not delicious... such a waste. The mixed rice with shredded mountain pepper was very tasty though!! I probably won't go back...

This is a trendy and delicious cafe in Asakusa where you can enjoy Uji matcha. It's a popular spot with a constant line of 5-6 groups waiting. The turnover seems to be quite fast. Located on the Shin-Nakamise Street, you may pass by it several times while sightseeing in Asakusa. It's a good idea to check the customer flow before visiting.

I visited during snack time on Sunday. The popular shop had a long line. I went with a friend and we had a matcha float and shaved ice. Among them, the shaved ice was visually impressive and the taste of the strong matcha was delicious!

A fast food restaurant with a Japanese atmosphere. It feels very Asakusa-like. You sit down and within 1-2 minutes, your order number is called and you go to the counter to pick up your food yourself! The portion size is small, like thawed frozen udon noodles. The tea was 330 yen when added to the udon as a set. I was surprised by how hot the matcha tea was. Matcha tea is usually not this hot, so it seems like they have a super hot style here. Recommended for those who like their tea really hot! We ordered 2 udon noodles, 1 mixed rice, and 2 teas, and the total came to 2398 yen.

I was walking around Asakusa in the morning and got tired, so I happened to enter a shop that opened at the same time. It was a famous shop for matcha tiramisu, and there was already a line forming. The tiramisu in the wooden box jiggles like water when you shake it. Wow!! It has a strong cheese flavor, not just sweet, but with a perfect balance of richness and deliciousness! It was so delicious that I could have eaten another one.

I noticed that there was a new shop in the Asakusa area. Asakusa has been experiencing a lot of openings and closures during the COVID-19 pandemic, so it's hard to keep track. I thought sweets would be popular, but I was drawn to this udon shop because it looked so delicious. I usually try to visit Asakusa when there are fewer tourists, like on weekdays, but this time there were a lot of people, maybe because the situation with COVID-19 had improved slightly. I just wanted to grab a bite to eat after work.

A cafe in Asakusa where you can enjoy matcha soft serve ice cream. The interior has a stylish atmosphere and was fully packed, so I got the matcha soft serve to go (550 yen). The matcha flavor was rich and delicious, but the price was a bit high. I'd like to come back next time to relax inside the cafe.

I visited this cafe along Nishinakamise Street for lunch. The menu offers four types of udon, all priced at 979 yen. Upon entering, you order at the counter and receive a number to wait for your seat. I ordered the Sudachi udon and Takikomi Gohan (979 yen). The interior is stylish and clean, but the seating space is narrow. After about 5 minutes, my number was called and I picked up my order at the counter. The Sudachi udon was served cold, but you can choose hot udon depending on the type. The toppings included sudachi, Kujo green onions, and wheat gluten, with ginger and sesame sprinkled on top. The flavor was refreshing and delicious. The udon had a surprisingly firm texture. The Takikomi Gohan had a gentle seasoning and the dried mountain pepper was tasty and appetizing. I initially thought the portion of udon was small, but with the Takikomi Gohan included, I was satisfied.
