In a fiercely competitive yakiniku district, this place stands out for its deliciousness! Among the many trendy restaurants with lackluster flavors, this place is a sure bet. It's no wonder it has high ratings on Tabelog! Despite not being on the luxury route, the food here is surprisingly delicious. The staff are also very friendly. Located on the second floor of a building that houses Tsukesoba Kuromon on the first floor. They have a great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails like Ginger Lemonade, Fruit Punch, and Pineapple Cooler. You can choose the seasoning for the yukhoe, and I recommend the classic sauce. The Kobe beef zabuton is amazing! It ranks high among the yakiniku I've had this year. The carefully selected three-point platter of misuji, togarashi, and sankaku is all my favorite cuts. Especially the misuji is unbelievably delicious. I highly recommend ordering this set! The kimchi assortment with napa cabbage and cucumber is a classic combination. The portion size is just right. The half-size egg soup is fluffy and has a distinct taste with plenty of egg in it. The half-size naengmyeon is also a great choice. I am completely satisfied!!

I went to Yakiniku Motoyama Shinjuku branch. It's a yakiniku restaurant with several locations in Tokyo, and this was my first time at the Shinjuku branch. I went with my friend and we were both impressed by the delicious yakiniku. We chose the "Nagomi Course" this time, which came with all-you-can-drink option, perfect for us who love to drink. The dishes we had were Kimchi (2 types), Namul assortment, Motoyama salad, Assorted premium three cuts (premium misuji, premium sankaku, premium tougarashi), Upper tongue salt, Sangenton Kalbi, Sangenton pork belly, Kobe beef Kalbi, Wagyu loin, Harami, and Today's three kinds of hormone. Everything was delicious and had a good amount of fat, but let me highlight my personal favorites. The premium three cuts were amazing, especially the sankaku with just the right amount of fat. Also, the Sangenton pork belly was tender and juicy, melting in my mouth. And of course, the hormone multi-chow! As a lover of multi-chow, the sweet and savory miso sauce was a perfect match. Overall, it was all delicious! We had a really happy time. The staff were all very kind, which was much appreciated. Oh, and they had Makgeolli for drinking, which had a slightly sweet taste that was really good! Definitely give it a try! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I was invited by a friend for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! The meat was all top quality, you could tell just by looking at it. The special selection of three types of meat was particularly delicious, especially the misuji which was full of flavor. The quality of the meat and the all-you-can-drink option at that price is really reasonable. We were seated a bit further back, but the level of service from the staff was so attentive, it was surprising! Thank you for the wonderful meal! I visited Yakiniku Motoyama at Shinjuku Nishiguchi. Established in 1975, this long-standing restaurant is popular for offering Kobe beef and black wagyu at reasonable prices. We started with a toast with Ebisu beer. The vegetables came first - we had a Chorogi salad, kimchi, and namul assortment to start off. The white senmai they serve is also a nice touch with its crispy texture. And now, onto the meat. We tried their popular Motoyama Mori, which includes top tongue salt, Kobe beef kalbi, loin, harami, and three-layer pork kalbi. Perfect for those who want to try a variety of cuts. The garlic yakiniku was also a hit. The kalbi and harami were particularly delicious. We also tried their carefully selected three cuts set, which included misuji, tougarashi, and sankaku - rare cuts that showcase the quality of the meat. Simply sear the surface lightly and enjoy. The meat was tender, flavorful, and satisfying. After enjoying the meat, we felt like having some horumon. The four cuts set included shimachou, maruchou, top mino, and liver, which we enjoyed with miso flavor. The horumon was tender and had no unpleasant smell, indicating its high quality. We ended the meal with tegutan soup, which was delicious with its perfect level of spiciness and depth of flavor. Overall, we were truly satisfied with the high-quality meat at a reasonable price. In the hot summer, it's a great idea to eat some hot yakiniku to boost your stamina. So, I went to "Yakiniku Motoyama" in Shinjuku. The area is full of restaurants, but you won't have trouble finding it with the outdoor sign. The interior is calming with a black theme, but the customers chatting and smiling over their yakiniku create a lively atmosphere with the sizzling sound of the meat on charcoal. We started with a toast with a "Medium-sized draft beer for 759 yen" and enjoyed the "Wagyu seared yukhoe for 1,408 yen". The freshness of the meat was evident even though it was lightly seared, and the richness of the fat was delightful. Then, we moved on to the main course with the "Kobe beef three-point platter for 2,200 yen (for 2 people)". The sirloin, short rib, and tenderloin were all delicious, but the tenderloin stood out for its balance of lean meat and marbled fat. We savored it with wasabi soy sauce. Next, we tried the restaurant's specialty, the "Meat brick for 3,278 yen". This impressive piece of meat was seared on all sides for 20 seconds each. The staff then cut it, revealing a perfect balance of lean and fatty meat. We enjoyed it with garlic butter soy sauce, which enhanced the flavor. For a change, we also tried it with salt. Feeling like having more meat, we ordered the "Premium three-point platter for 4,268 yen". The oyster blade, triangle roast, and hot pepper were all luxurious cuts. We lightly seared them as they were prone to overcooking. The oyster blade, with its melting fat, was our favorite. It literally melted in the mouth. The triangle roast, with less fat, was also delicious. It was a nice mix of rich and chewy textures. For the finale, we had the "Stone-grilled garlic rice for 968 yen". It was pressed into the bowl to create a crispy crust, and the combination of meat, butter, and rice was pure happiness. It was a bit heavy for a finale, but when you're at a yakiniku restaurant, you want to savor the meat until the end. We left feeling satisfied after about 2 hours. I forgot to take a photo because I was so hungry. I started with Chorogi salad, Namul platter, two types of kimchi, and beer. I had barley soda with a bottle. I ate Upper Tan, Harami, thick-cut Harami, Kobe beef kalbi, loin, chunk meat, garlic rice, and cold noodles, and I was completely satisfied. Especially, putting the chunk meat on top of the garlic rice was delicious. The photo shows the chunk meat and thick-cut Harami.

When I placed various orders and the total exceeded 20,000 yen on my first visit, I was a bit nervous, but the quality of the meat turned out to be not bad. The thick-cut tongue is much better than the regular cut, and the premium tongue here is disappointing compared to the regular tongue at other places. The yukhoe is not raw meat but low-temperature cooked. It may be good quality meat with marbling, but it needs something more to stand out. However, overall it is delicious. I recommend trying the thick-cut or whole pieces of meat.

I visited the Shinjuku branch of the popular restaurant 【Yakiniku Motoyama】, which was founded in Ueno in 1975 and has been featured in the media. What's amazing about this place is that you can enjoy Kobe beef, one of the three major Wagyu beef varieties, at about 60% of the cost of a high-end restaurant! The seating is in box style, so you can enjoy without hesitation. The menu I ordered included: - Wagyu seared yukhoe ¥1408: You can really taste the meatiness! - Upper liver ¥1408: This was pretty standard. - Niku Renga ¥3278: Each side is carefully grilled for 20 seconds each, then sliced like tataki. I added rice ¥308 and egg ¥110 to create the original Niku Renga bowl. - Motoyama's specialty "Red Meat Supreme" - Exquisite selection of three cuts (2 pieces each set) ¥2838 (by the way, 3 pieces each set ¥4268). The togarashi, sankaku, and misuji were so fresh that you could enjoy them even rare. I had them with wasabi soy sauce. - Upper tongue salt ¥2035: Unfortunately, the thick cut was sold out, but the negi dare that came with it was surprisingly delicious! The tongue was also tender and delicious. - Thick-cut harami ¥1408: I chose the tare sauce. Before I knew it, I was full, and the bill was about ¥7500 per person. So cheap for this quality! The shop is about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit. However, it is recommended to allow some extra time as the street is busy with people passing by. Established in 1975, this popular shop in Okachimachi, featured in the media, opened a sister store where you can enjoy Kobe beef at about 60% of the price of a high-end store. This time, we tried the following: - Wagyu seared yukhoe (with sauce) - Upper tongue salt - Thick-cut harami (skirt steak) - Upper liver - Meat brick - Exquisite selection of three cuts - 2 pieces each - Rice - Egg The seared yukhoe comes with a choice of sauce or salt, and this time we tried it with sauce. The sauce is sweet and the meat is thickly cut, providing a juicy texture. At 1400 yen, it was definitely worth it! The tongue was out of stock, so we ordered the upper tongue instead. It comes with slightly spicy green onions, which pair perfectly with the tongue. The thick-cut harami and upper liver were decent but nothing special. Now, the highlight of the meal - the meat brick! You sear the meat brick on each side for 20 seconds and then have the staff cut it for you. The cut meat, similar to tataki, tastes amazing dipped in garlic soy sauce. We decided to get creative and made a special meat rice bowl with egg on top, drizzled with garlic soy sauce, which turned out to be delicious! The must-try signature dish, the exquisite selection of three cuts, was also fantastic. We tried the set of two pieces each of togarashi (chili pepper), sankaku (tri-tip), and misuji (top blade). The freshness and quality of the meat were outstanding, and even the rare cuts were enjoyable. With a bill of around 7500 yen for food and drinks, we were quite satisfied with the quality of the meat at this price point. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

First visit. Entered at 5:30 pm with a reservation. About 3-4 people entered at the same time, and by 6:30 pm it was almost full. Satisfied with the quality of the meat and service. The Kakuteki and Kimchi were delicious. With all-you-can-drink included at this price, it's a good value. Especially considering it's in Shinjuku Nishiguchi. Highly recommended.

We made a reservation for two people for a 2-hour time slot. We arrived a little late, but were told that our reservation time would not be extended. I went to a place near Shinjuku Nishiguchi Station that I had never been to before, thinking let's try a place where we can quickly get some yakiniku. The restaurant was quite crowded. I ordered some random items and the taste was decently good. It wasn't anything special, but it was tasty enough. In terms of cost performance, it was average considering the location. Not cheap, not expensive, just a safe choice. It seemed like the business hours were different because they quickly gave us the last order, brought the bill, and it was over. I wanted to try various types of dishes, so opting for the course menu was the right choice. Everything was delicious, but the meat brick was especially amazing. The season for Akaboshi and yakiniku that is irresistible has arrived! I went to Shinjuku Motoyama! First, we ordered Kakuteki! It was delicious! And then, we ordered the Kobe beef three-point platter to celebrate the renewal! Kobe beef kalbi, sasami, and special kalbi all had a melt-in-your-mouth flavor that was enjoyable. The sanchu also went well with it. Next was the meat brick! Just as the name suggests, it was meaty! It was quickly grilled on all sides and then cut up by the staff. Despite its name, it was surprisingly tender and delicious meat. Served with butter soy sauce. The vegetable assortment was also refreshing. From the ribeye to the harami and the top mino, the alcohol went down smoothly. The kalbi soup with soy sauce base was warm and comforting. Finally, we enjoyed the top ribeye. Everything was tender and delicious. The spacious interior makes it family-friendly, which is great, and the delicious food was the best part. It's perfect for families as well.
