I love the hot pot at Ginza Tendan! I have tried various hot pots in the past, but the hot pot at this Tendan is relentless in its spiciness and umami. Adding plenty of condiments like coriander and garlic to the sauce, and finishing it off with a sprinkle of fragrant Sichuan pepper oil, guarantees an addictive and delicious hot pot experience. I had promised to bring a friend who also loves hot pot, but the restaurant had been closed for renovations for a while, so I had been eagerly awaiting this day. I made a reservation through the website and visited at 7pm. When I entered the restaurant, I was surprised! The interior of Tendan had been significantly renovated and was now incredibly beautiful (it used to have a nostalgic charm and great taste). They even had shelves for growing their own bean sprouts in the kitchen, and a showcase for the meat, making it visible to customers. They had prepared a table by the window for us, so we sat there and started with a toast with beer! I definitely wanted to try the homegrown bean sprouts, so we ordered the stir-fried bean sprouts. Of course, we also ordered the hot pot, but my friend has allergies to lamb and beef, so we chose black pork instead. The crispy and fresh bean sprouts arrived. I switched to a large beer mug and alternated between the delicious bean sprouts and sips of beer! The stir-fried bean sprouts go perfectly with beer. And then, the highly anticipated hot pot arrived. The staff asked for our preferences and made the sauce for us. I'm okay with everything like coriander, so I asked for all of it to be added. We put the vegetables in the white soup and the meat in the spicy red soup for shabu-shabu, and it was incredibly delicious! It was so good that I couldn't help but exclaim, "Deliciously spicy, deliciously delicious, spicy, delicious, spicy, delicious, delicious, spicy, spicy!!!" We ordered more meat and finished the meal with the hot pot at Tendan! We also ordered yamaimo (mountain yam) and glass noodles. The chewy texture of the yamaimo is unique and incredibly satisfying. When eaten with the spicy sauce, it has an addictive flavor. For dessert, we had almond jelly. Usually, they serve cute rabbit-shaped almond jelly, but this time it was a regular one. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back!

This time I had pork shabu-shabu, but they also offer beef, seafood, lamb, and more. I am a fan of spicy food, so I only eat the spicy option. Of course, I couldn't stop sweating. I cannot forget my recent experience. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was sophisticated, and the service was attentive. But above all, the taste was overwhelming. The meat and vegetables used were incredibly fresh, and the depth and aroma of the soup set it apart from others. When I feel like having hot pot, I go to this place. It's been around for a long time, so I go quite often. ① This is a hot pot and Chinese restaurant on the second floor along Corridor Street. The inside of the restaurant has many seats and private rooms. It can get really busy on some days, so it's better to make a reservation if possible. The interior was renovated a few years ago and looks nice. Even in the summer, the air conditioning is set at a comfortable temperature, so you won't feel too hot while eating hot pot. However, because of the sweating effect, you might sweat a bit (laughs). ② The staff's customer service is excellent. They come quickly when you call them, which I think is a result of the good training at the restaurant. Because of this, you can have a very pleasant dining experience. ③ In Ginza, there are several trendy hot pot restaurants, but while many places emphasize umami over spiciness, this place focuses more on strong spiciness, finding deliciousness within that spiciness. Whether you're a couple, colleagues, or a group of guys, I think this is a fun place to eat.

I have always wanted to visit this hot pot restaurant. It has been renovated and now looks stylish and beautiful, with chandeliers adding a touch of luxury. This time, we opted for a leisurely sofa seating and ordered a hot pot set. We chose a variety of meats including lamb, pork, and beef, as well as seafood. I went for the lamb for 2000 yen, while my friend chose the pork for 2200 yen. We had a two-flavor hot pot, with a clear broth and a spicy red broth. We selected the mildly spicy option for the red broth. The sauce was made by the staff using sesame base, spicy miso similar to doubanjiang, garlic, cilantro, and the hot pot broth. The vegetable platter was fresh and generous, with a variety of mushrooms, daikon, tofu, spinach, Chinese cabbage, and even dumplings! For the finishing touch, we chose ramen. The hot pot was quite spicy even with the mild option, so we ended up mainly using the clear broth. The dumplings were chewy and delicious, with plenty of fresh vegetables making it a healthy meal. Unfortunately, the lamb was a bit watery and had a strong smell, so it was not very satisfying. My friend enjoyed the pork, though. The ramen for the finale was delicious when mixed with the sauce, almost like tantanmen! This place is great for solo dining as well, so I'll definitely come back next time I'm in the mood for hot pot. Maybe I'll try the seafood next time.

I love century eggs. I don't remember the first time I tried them, but they didn't look appetizing at first glance. The black transparent egg white with the gray yolk doesn't exactly entice the appetite. Why did it end up looking like this? It's a mystery. I also find the smell somewhat strong. I may find it pleasant because I like it, but if you were to inhale the smell by itself from a plastic bag, it might make you feel sick with its ammonia-like odor. Century eggs are made by preserving duck or chicken eggs in an alkaline environment. Despite the liquid egg mixture, century eggs solidify without the use of heat, which is fascinating. Boiled eggs cannot be preserved, but century eggs can be, which is impressive. Anyway, I love century eggs now. A Chinese banquet must start with century eggs and beer. Sometimes, to accommodate those who don't like century eggs, we may order century egg tofu to mellow it out, but personally, it feels somewhat lacking. I prefer to have the full impact of century eggs with a beer on the side. The combination of century eggs and beer is unbeatable. Beer goes well with any food, but from the century egg's perspective, beer is the best match. Century eggs lose a lot of their appeal without beer. That's how essential beer is with century eggs. Oh, this restaurant mainly focuses on hot pot, so I should probably be writing a review about that instead. I got a little carried away with my love for century eggs. Oh well, I can't help it. My love for century eggs knows no bounds. That's all I have to say about century eggs.

First hot pot lunch experience (^○^)♪ Went with a friend so we chose lamb and pork! The staff made the sauce to our preferred level of spiciness. I like spicy food but I'm not great with it, so I asked for a medium level of spiciness. It wasn't super spicy at all, but it had chopped cilantro in it and was really delicious. I enjoyed it a lot. The appearance of the lamb meat was a bit different from what I had imagined, but it was tasty (^^;;♡

This restaurant is open for lunch with no waiting time, so you can be seated right away. It's a Sichuan cuisine place, so most dishes are spicy. I ordered the mapo tofu, and the spiciness comes mainly from the Sichuan pepper. It's not extremely hot like chili peppers, so even those who are not good with spicy food should be able to enjoy it. Despite being a lunch spot, the atmosphere felt like a high-end restaurant.

The menu has been updated and the restaurant has been renovated. I used a coupon to order the lamb hot pot with double the meat. They first prepare two types of hot pot, meat, vegetable platter, and ramen sauce. They adjust the spiciness and the sauce they make is the most delicious. The portion size is okay, but a little more would be better in my opinion. The meal was enjoyable with a drink included.

We made a reservation for three people for seats only at 11:30 on a weekday. We arrived before the opening time, but were allowed to wait at our seats. Perhaps due to the rain, there were few customers and a reservation may not have been necessary. We ordered the weekday limited hot pot lunch - two of us had the pork (2,200 yen) and I had the lamb (2,000 yen). The meal came with a drink, and I chose jasmine tea. First, they asked about our preferred level of spiciness for the sauce, which was delicious. We were served vegetables and meat dipped in two types of soup. The photo shows the portions for three people, with more vegetables and less meat. However, I was satisfied with that. The soup in the hot pot was not too salty, so it seemed gentle on the body. Finally, we could choose between noodles or rice to finish the meal. We enjoyed a delicious and affordable meal with plenty of vegetables in a beautiful restaurant. The lunch options other than hot pot also looked good. We had a leisurely lunch. Thank you for the meal. We will visit again. It was delicious! (*^^*)

On Saturday, I was in the mood for hot pot! I thought it would be difficult to make a reservation, but luckily I was able to reserve a table and enjoyed a satisfying meal. Hot pot is something I crave occasionally and it was delicious! The shrimp chili dish was labeled as not very spicy, but it turned out to be quite spicy! For those who don't like spicy food, be careful!笑

When you feel like having hot pot, this is the place to go. I recommend the black pork hot pot set, which was around 3,500 yen. By adding vegetables and meat, and not drinking alcohol, it ended up being around 13,000 yen, which was quite affordable. The alcohol here is expensive. The place has been renovated and looks beautiful, and it's spacious with no need for reservations, so it's convenient. However, the menu has some hits and misses, so please be careful. Hot pot is amazing. I made a reservation for 6:15 pm on March 27th and visited the restaurant. Inside, there are many table seats and private rooms at the back. This time, I had reserved a private room so I went in. I always eat hot pot as the main dish here. The hot pot here is exquisite...! You can choose the level of spiciness, garlic, and cilantro. I'm not a fan of whole spices like cloves, but the hot pot here has fewer whole spices, yet it's spicy and delicious. It suits me well as someone who doesn't like whole spices. And the finishing ramen, it's also incredibly delicious.

A restaurant in Ginza Corridor Street serving hot pot and Sichuan cuisine. It caught my attention for a while, but it seemed to be closed most of last year. Visited for lunch at 12:00, with about 3 groups of customers already there. Ordered the seafood hot pot from the lunch menu for 1800 yen. The staff pays good attention to customers. There is also a call bell, making it very convenient. Even for solo diners, they provide a hot pot for two with both a clear and spicy broth. The broths are not too salty, and the hot pot is meant to be eaten with dipping sauces. The clear broth is light in flavor, while the spicy broth has an authentic numbing spiciness, though it's not too hot. The staff will show you how to mix the dipping sauces for the first time. The sesame paste mixed with the soup, along with chili miso, garlic, and coriander, creates a flavorful experience. The hot pot comes with a generous amount of vegetables, including Chinese cabbage, cabbage, bok choy, komatsuna, bean sprouts, shimeji mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, pumpkin, and shiitake mushrooms. The seafood includes tofu, water dumplings, oysters, squid, and scallops. All the vegetable and seafood ingredients are delicious and easy to eat, even in large portions. The oysters are particularly tasty, with a light and easy-to-eat texture. The squid and scallops are also large and quite good. The tofu and water dumplings were also enjoyable. Ended the meal with ramen, which was like a deconstructed tantanmen and quite delicious. Enjoyed the lunch hot pot experience.

I visited this restaurant with friends to celebrate. The staff were friendly and kind, and we had a wonderful time. It was a celebration and I had dietary restrictions, so I called ahead and they allowed me to bring a small cake. They even put sparklers on it and other customers in the restaurant applauded. The atmosphere of the restaurant must attract good people! The food was delicious and overall it was a great experience. I will definitely come back! Thank you very much!

This is a restaurant located in the Ginza Corridor Street (Ginza 7-chome). I visited with two friends for a pre-booked reservation. We ordered several dishes, including medicinal hot pot as the main dish and some cold dishes, while enjoying conversation with a highball in hand. We adjusted the spiciness to our liking and added grated garlic for extra flavor. We chose pork, lamb, and minced chicken, and found the hot pot with sesame paste easy to eat (similar to dan dan noodles). Some dishes, like the salad, were a bit disappointing in terms of portion size, but the tofu was good. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

Tendan Ginza Corridor Street Alongside Shop. A popular shop in Ginza loved by many people. Established 27 years ago, this traditional shop recently had a renewal open on July 12th. They specialize in authentic Sichuan hot pot with medicinal herbs, featuring homemade soup with no additives. The hot pot set with A5 grade black wagyu beef is priced at 5,200 yen. You can choose the level of spiciness (I went for the medium level). The bright red medicinal herb soup and clear broth soup were served, along with a complimentary serving of noodles and dessert. The fresh vegetables and marbled meat were delicious. The meat was so tender that it melted in the mouth. It was quickly cooked and eaten. The staff makes the sauce for you, mixing sesame sauce with spiciness, garlic, and vegetables, and finishing it off with soup. The homemade soup, made with over 20 types of Chinese herbs, is additive-free and allows you to drink it with peace of mind. I felt a difference in my physical condition the next morning. The power of Chinese herbs is truly amazing. The hot pot had a rich flavor with a hint of sansho pepper. Many celebrities visit this place, and it is popular among those who finish work in Ginza. The owner and staff are friendly and easy to talk to, making the experience enjoyable. There are many repeat customers and regulars. The interior of the shop has a luxurious feel and is clean.
