This time, I experienced gourmet dining at "District Brasserie, Bar, Lounge" located about an 8-minute walk from Tochomae Station (A4) on the Toei Oedo Line. It is on the 2nd floor of the Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo Hotel, where pets are allowed in both indoor and terrace seating areas. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, and the front desk staff will kindly instruct you on how to get to the restaurant. I visited on a Saturday at 6 pm and was the first customer. The operating hours during my visit were from 18:00 to 23:00 for dinner, with the last food order at 21:00 and last drink order at 22:00. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and exudes a sense of luxury. It is divided into lower and upper floors, with a terrace seating area at the back. I was seated on the upper floor, and by around 7 pm, it was almost full, with half of the groups accompanied by pets. The tables are equipped with pet blankets, allowing pets to sit comfortably. The menu offers two courses priced at 8,000 yen and 12,000 yen, with the main difference being that the latter includes an amuse-bouche and two main dishes. While a la carte ordering is possible, ordering a few items separately can be more expensive, so opting for the course menu provides better value. There is also a pet menu available, featuring dishes such as deer meat hamburger (1,100 yen), salad chicken Caesar-style (1,100 yen), salmon and vegetable couscous (1,100 yen), apple bread (900 yen), and cream cheese bread (900 yen). Although all options look delicious, there is an additional 15% service charge, making them slightly more expensive. In addition to the menu, there is also information provided for guests with pets, emphasizing the hotel's pet-friendly policy and requesting cooperation to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests. The soft drinks ordered were, from left to right in the photo, "Alain Milliat grape juice (white)" (tax included 1,240 yen), "glass of white wine" (tax included 1,870 yen), and "glass of red wine" (tax included 1,540 yen). The white grape juice offers a fruity and refreshing experience, allowing you to enjoy the fresh grape flavor in your mouth. The complimentary bread served was focaccia, which exudes the aroma of olive oil and fragrant rosemary upon the first bite. It has a chewy texture and a subtle sweetness that is complemented by the salt sprinkled inside. The first appetizer was "Tokyo Burrata Osamic Tomato" (plus tax 2,000 yen). The creamy burrata cheese melts in your mouth, complementing the sweet and tangy Osamic tomato to create a fresh and refreshing bite. The second appetizer was "Angel Shrimp, Whipped Avocado, Pineapple Salsa" (plus tax 1,000 yen). The shrimp's unique sweetness and sea flavor paired with the rich avocado and the exotic elements of the pineapple salsa provide depth to the dish. The third appetizer was "Kingfish Marinade, Mango & Myoga Salsa, Yuzu". The mango & myoga salsa offers a fruity and tangy flavor that contrasts beautifully with the kingfish. The sharpness and flavor of the myoga add a unique touch, while the refreshing aroma of yuzu balances the dish, creating a vibrant sensation in your mouth. The first main dish was "Grilled Lamb Rack, Domestic Garlic Cream, Zucchini, Tarragon Sauce" (plus tax 1,000 yen). The deep flavor and juiciness of the lamb meat, paired with the garlic cream, zucchini, and tarragon sauce, provide a rich and flavorful experience.
