Located near Higashi-Ikebukuro Station, the seating is well spaced out, making it perfect for the current situation. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, allowing for a leisurely time. My wife and I ordered white wine in a decanter to start off our meal. The salad, pasta, and meat dishes all had a unique and flavorful twist, which paired perfectly with the wine. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be returning. We ended up lingering longer than planned, enjoying the opportunity to savor the meat dishes. While restaurants near Sunshine City tend to be crowded, it's nice to find a hidden gem like this just a little further away.

The flavors of all the dishes were delicious and I was very satisfied! Especially the risotto and pasta were delicious and satisfying!! The atmosphere was very nice, and although we used it for a girls' night out this time, I would love to use it for special occasions or celebrations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern and comfortable, and the wait staff were very attentive, constantly refilling our water. They had two pasta options, roast beef bowl, seafood bowl, salad lunch, etc. You can choose between white rice and mixed grain rice for the rice dishes, and you can even get a large portion for free! After some hesitation, I chose the pasta. I had the Anchovy and Mushroom Pasta for 1,300 yen, topped with herb breadcrumbs. It came with soup, salad, and a drink. The pasta was a large portion and had a good balance of chewiness and texture. The anchovies and mushrooms were plentiful, and the dish was light and flavorful. It was delicious. My friend ordered the roast beef bowl, which looked appetizing with plenty of vegetables. The drink arrived later, and we enjoyed our time there. The tables were spacious, the window seat was bright, and the atmosphere was so comfortable that time flew by. We were able to pay with electronic money, and the restroom was clean too!

Honestly, the flavors were quite ordinary... The fruit tomato wasn't sweet, the horse meat mainly tasted like the sauce, and the Camembert had a thick batter. The highly anticipated meat dishes were overly fatty and we couldn't finish them... Comparing to other options in the Ikebukuro area, La Cine next door offers much better quality. To top it off, they were already out of tiramisu at 5 pm... And to my surprise, they served Lipton tea bags as-is for tea. Despite the disappointing food experience, the female waitstaff in formal attire was very pleasant and provided good service throughout. The restaurant was quite cold inside, so it would have been nice to have some blankets or better temperature control.

The appetizers included a salad-based shrimp dish in nanban sauce and pork prosciutto, both seasoned just right and delicious. The pasta, which arrived shortly after, was made with fresh pasta that was delightfully chewy, with plenty of sardines for a substantial portion. I was very satisfied with the pasta. As for the dessert... honestly, the tiramisu was a bit underwhelming for me. I prefer a more bitter tiramisu, but this one was light and slightly sweet. I thought I should have chosen the "Rich Gateau Chocolat with Vanilla Ice Cream" instead. Well, it's a matter of personal preference. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, so I ended up staying for quite a while, and the voices of the staff and clattering of dishes became a bit distracting. However, I was satisfied with the food, service speed, and atmosphere, so I rated my experience this way. I would definitely visit again if I have the chance.

The salad had a variety of vegetables like lettuce, baby leaf, purple cabbage, pumpkin, turnip, asparagus, with a carrot dressing that had a good balance of acidity and bitterness. The minestrone soup had a nice acidity with a hint of garlic, making it delicious. After about 22 minutes, the steak and multigrain rice were served. The steak came with cress, mashed potatoes, and bamboo shoots on the side. The steak was tender, and you could season it with the salt and pepper provided on the plate. The meat was flavorful with a good amount of fat, although there were some tough parts. Finally, I refreshed my palate with black oolong tea, and the meal was finished.
