I visited the restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had the special Star Course in a private room to commemorate the occasion. The appetizers included dishes with spring chrysanthemum, ginkgo nuts, and other seasonal ingredients. The sweetfish had plenty of roe and a delightful texture. The tuna sashimi was surprisingly fatty and melted in the mouth. The fried dish was made with yam plants coated in egg yolk batter, which complemented the dish well. The main dish was sukiyaki, cooked to perfection as always. The thinly sliced premium meat melted in the mouth, accompanied by seasonal vegetables like pumpkin, ginkgo nuts, and white mushrooms. The meal ended with a delicious tamagodon, with perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful rice. Surprisingly, the dessert was papaya, which was unexpected but enjoyable. As we left, we received a souvenir to commemorate the birthday. Overall, while it may not be a restaurant we can visit frequently, we would love to return for special occasions in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Due to work reasons, I rarely visit Tokyo. I live in Kobe, where there are many great meat shops with good value for money, so I usually don't go to meat shops in Tokyo. However, Inakaya is a safe bet. The meat is delicious, and the appetizers are made with top-quality ingredients. The clam soup served in between dishes is also incredibly tasty! Thank you for the meal.

Today I am in Tokyo. When I went to Imahan at night, I had the sukiyaki course, but for lunch today, I had the set meal (kaiseki meal) for the second time. The contents were a little different from last time, but today's meal seems to be a standard option. The set meal is different from a bento box, as the rice is served separately and there is also a soup, which is nice. I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the delicious meal!

During my trip overseas, I was craving sukiyaki. As soon as I returned home, I headed to Imahan. The thick slices of meat were delicious, but what stood out the most was the tasty vegetables. The summer vegetables included tomatoes and water eggplants, both of which were juicy and flavorful. To finish off the meal, I enjoyed rice topped with fluffy egg.

I have visited the Asakusa branch several times, but this was my first visit to the main Ningyocho Imahan Honten branch. I made a reservation for a private room for lunch with my three grandchildren. The five adults ordered the lunch course set (¥12,100), while the three grandchildren ordered the children's sukiyaki set (¥2,750). Although shabu-shabu was also an option, we all chose sukiyaki, and the attentive staff in the private room cooked the food skillfully while engaging in delightful conversation with the lively grandchildren. The appetizers and sashimi platter were excellent, with intricate presentation and fresh ingredients. The beef of the day was Kumamoto black wagyu, and when asked about our preference, we all requested medium rare. The staff cooked the meat skillfully, and we enjoyed it in its best condition. The bill came to just under ¥80,000, but the service was excellent and well worth it.

Both families used it for the first meal. We ordered the first meal set (6,050 yen) and the adults had lunch sukiyaki (5,390 yen). The sukiyaki was delicious, and the closing fluffy egg was also very tasty. They also served white rice in between. The first meal set was visually beautiful and impactful. We took the sea bream home and enjoyed it. They put the tooth-hardening stone in a drawstring bag for us. The private room was cozy, and they even lent us a baby bouncer, so the baby was happy throughout. Lunch is relatively reasonable and you can enjoy delicious sukiyaki, so I would like to visit again. It is highly recommended for the first meal as well.

I visited for lunch and had the Sukiyaki course. The course included appetizer, sashimi, sukiyaki, and dessert. The appetizer was light and perfect for summer. The sukiyaki was prepared by the staff, featuring well-marbled meat and lean meat, providing a satisfying amount of meat even with just 3 slices. We were seated in a private room for our child's celebration, allowing us to relax for about 2 and a half hours.

[July 4, 2023 evening] I ordered the top quality sirloin 120g for 9,900 yen (including tax, excluding 10% service charge) but asked for 150g instead, with additional salad, grilled vegetables, garlic steak, meal set, sautéed rice, and red miso soup. The cooking was done by Vice Chef O at Imahan Ningyocho Honten. While some teppanyaki places make a show with loud noises, Kisen Tei values an adult atmosphere and focuses on cooking the meat and ingredients to bring out their flavors.

The nostalgic charm of old-fashioned Japan still remains. It is not extravagant but has a quaint atmosphere. This time, I visited with a group. We tried the top-class sukiyaki course. The appetizer consisted of summer-like menu items. The hassun (assorted appetizers) was also delicious. The main sukiyaki dish was perfect, judging from the color of the meat. The staff carefully prepared it. The sauce was on the sweet side but not overpowering. The portion of meat was generous, making us feel satisfied with our sukiyaki experience. The side vegetables were cooked just right. It felt like I was eating really delicious high-quality meat after a long time. The service was also solid and we received pleasant service. I was satisfied in terms of atmosphere, food, and service. If I had to nitpick, the drink lineup wasn't to my taste, but overall, I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Today, we gathered together and ordered the lunch course "Shabu-shabu" at the restaurant. We had a private room with baby-friendly facilities, which was very convenient for mothers who find it difficult to dine out. The golden-colored bread for shabu-shabu was a traditional highlight. The course included the following dishes: appetizer, sashimi, meat (three slices of 40g each), assorted vegetables, finishing with ramen and apricot pudding. We enjoyed the seasonal dishes visually and in taste. The preparation for shabu-shabu was perfect, with two types of dipping sauces ready. We first enjoyed the appetizer and sashimi, then proceeded to cook the meat and vegetables in the hot pot. The combination of sesame sauce with meat, and ponzu sauce with vegetables was delightful. The meal ended with a delicious ramen soup and apricot pudding. Overall, it was a delicious and enjoyable lunch gathering. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to sukiyaki in Tokyo, "Imahan" is the best choice. This super old and famous sukiyaki restaurant was established in 1888. I finally visited the iconic Imahan in Ningyocho for the first time. The marbled black wagyu beef looked so delicious even before cooking. The staff carefully grilled the meat, ensuring it was cooked perfectly. The meat was so tender and delicious, it melted in my mouth. The vegetables were also cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the meat. They also made a simple egg drop soup at the end using eggs. I wanted to have seconds, but the meat slices were so big that I was already full. Imahan is a perfect place for special occasions like business meetings or celebrations. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

A customer from overseas came, and thanks to my enthusiastic boss making a reservation, it was my first visit. Although Imahan used to be one entity in the past, now there are five different Imahan locations (like Ningyocho, Asakusa, etc.) as separate companies. We had teppanyaki at Imahan Honten in Ningyocho, and it was delicious. The huge clam extract soup, giant Hokkaido asparagus, and wagyu steak were all very tasty. It was a luxurious meal, and our overseas guest was delighted. It's not the kind of place I would go to privately, but if there's another opportunity for a reward meal, I would like to visit again.

I had steak in a private room at the main store in Ningyocho. The lunch course includes 100 grams of fillet, garlic rice, and dessert, making it very affordable. The teppanyaki is cooked right in front of you, making it popular with foreigners. I also bought croquettes at the deli department on the way home. I recommend the sukiyaki croquette and curry bread.

When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with attentive service and taken to the second floor. Each dish was delicious from start to finish. I ordered both the top-tier and the highest-tier options, and they were both exceptional. The highest-tier option was truly outstanding. While it may be a bit pricey, it is recommended for special occasions or anniversaries. It was a memorable dining experience for me.

After offering prayers at Suiten-gū on the day of the Dog in the Chinese zodiac, we had a family meal. The restaurant was spacious with a sense of history and a dignified decor. The staff were very polite and created a relaxing atmosphere without unnecessary tension. We didn't opt for the top course, but still enjoyed a high-quality sukiyaki. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the meat was cooked and served one piece at a time, allowing us to focus on our meal and conversation. Eating sukiyaki at the main branch was truly an exceptional experience.

When you think of Imahan, you might think of sukiyaki, but this time we had a teppanyaki course. The food and service were truly top-notch, and we had a very enjoyable time. The restaurant had a calm and luxurious atmosphere befitting Imahan. We were there for a birthday celebration, and all the staff members congratulated us. It's wonderful to see such attention to detail at a restaurant. We even received a gift on our way out. This time we had the Takasago course.
- Seasonal Appetizers: Four elegant small dishes, all very delicious with high-quality vegetables. You can feel the dedication to the ingredients.
- Clam Soup: My favorite was the clam soup. It's made on the teppan, and when the clams open up, it's ready. The broth is incredibly delicious.
- Salad: Crispy vegetables with original onion dressing. Since I mentioned that I don't like onions, they changed it to passion fruit dressing. It changes depending on the season. The popping texture was very tasty.
- Grilled Vegetables: We also ordered the Aomori garlic for an additional fee. It's grilled to a crispy texture like chips, with a fresh taste.
- Black Wagyu Steak: You can choose between 120g of sirloin or 100g of fillet. We ordered both and enjoyed each equally. The high-quality meat from Imahan was a true delight.
- Garlic Sauteed Rice: Made on the teppan, one of the joys of teppanyaki. They use grape seed oil for this course. The red miso soup and pickles were also delicious.
- Dessert: A perfect finish with anmitsu. The ice cream was very delicious. Thank you for making it a wonderful day. We will definitely visit again!

I visited without a reservation at 7:00 pm and was able to be seated at the steak counter. The steak, vegetables, seasonal dessert, the person grilling the meat, and the service were all fantastic. Truly a top-notch experience at the main branch. I would love to visit again.

On May 3rd during Golden Week, after watching the International Costume Parade in my hometown of Yokohama, I traveled on various train lines to reach Imahan in Ningyocho. I arrived early and waited in a chair for a while before being led to a private room on the second floor. The room had been converted from a traditional sunken kotatsu-style room to one with chairs. I ordered miso soup, white rice, and chawanmushi, and the chawanmushi with chicken was delicious and paired perfectly with the white rice. After finishing the meal, the highlight came - the premium Wagyu sirloin shabu-shabu from Mie Prefecture. The Wagyu was comparable to Matsusaka or Iga beef in quality and looked amazing. I also ordered mochi, kuzukiri, and white konjac noodles for shabu-shabu, which tasted great with sesame sauce and spicy oil. The mochi had a subtle mugwort flavor that paired well with the shabu-shabu sauce. The shabu-shabu experience was enhanced by the Nagano-grown shimeji mushrooms, fresh vegetables, kuzukiri, and okra. After enjoying the Wagyu shabu-shabu, I tried the finishing touch - dipping the ramen noodles in the spicy sesame sauce for a tantanmen-style flavor. Finally, I savored green tea and vanilla ice cream for dessert before leaving Imahan in Ningyocho.

The first visit for my eldest daughter's celebration meal was for her Omiyamairi ceremony. We had Sukiyaki and a special meal with dishes like sea bream, which were all delicious and made for a truly happy time. The restaurant has parking space for only two cars, and reservations are not accepted, so I recommend checking nearby coin parking before going.

When it comes to sukiyaki, I went to Imahan for the first time in a while! This time, I ordered the premium meat! The fat of the meat is truly top-notch and melts in your mouth, it's delicious! It goes well with rice! Before the sukiyaki, I also tried the meat sushi! It was also exquisite!

Today, I visited Imahan in Ningyocho with my family for dinner. We initially wanted to have sukiyaki, but it was fully booked so we opted for teppanyaki instead. We had a private room with a teppan grill in front of us where the chef cooked our food. We started with some appetizers, beautifully presented and delicious. Then we had clam soup, cooked on the teppan, bursting with flavor. Next was vegetables and scallops, the juicy scallops paired perfectly with the bitterness of the shungiku sauce. For the main course, we had a choice of fillet, sirloin, or red meat. I chose the red meat and it was expertly cooked on the teppan, full of flavor. The garlic rice at the end was a great finish, with bits of the meat mixed in. The service was excellent throughout, making our experience at Imahan unforgettable.
