It's been a while since I visited. I enjoyed some drinks while looking at the night view of Shinjuku. Unlike a bar, they also have a food menu which was fun. The smoked salmon was delicious, and the sight of the smoke swirling in front of me somehow matched the aura of the place. The highball at Keio Plaza had a special charm. It would be even more appreciated if they could finish making the cocktails where we can see, even if not all of them.

I visited the Sky Lounge Aurora on the 45th floor of the long-established Keio Plaza Hotel, about a 10-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station and Shinjuku Subway Station, for tea time on a holiday. I had visited the shop a couple of times over 10 years ago. The previous visits were at night when the night view was beautiful, so this was my first visit during the daytime. I could see Tokyo in all its glory, and the Skytree was clearly visible! Luckily, the weather was nice and sunny! I visited the shop without a reservation, but I was seated at a quiet table with a great view. Thank you... As soon as I arrived, my friend and I had a photo session with the view. I ordered a set of cake and a drink (I'm sorry, I don't know the official name...) for 2300 yen. My friend and I could choose from two types of cake for the dessert plate, and there were many drink options such as coffee and tea. My friend ordered decaf coffee, and I ordered decaf Earl Grey tea. The cake was a dessert plate with waffles, vanilla ice cream, and fruits. It was drizzled with chocolate sauce and was sweet and delicious! I came to chat with my friend, but we forgot to take a photo together at this lovely shop... Next time for sure. The cake we enjoyed in this great location was exceptional. My friend seemed lively and that made me happy. It was nice to have a fun conversation. Many of the other customers were ordering the Halloween-themed afternoon tea set. The afternoon tea set is a reservation-only menu, so you need to make a reservation by the day before. It seems they have seasonal afternoon tea sets, so you can spend a leisurely time enjoying tea. In early October 2022, Japan was hit by consecutive typhoons! This day was Tokyo Citizen's Day. It was so hot, and the next day was also sunny. But then it quickly turned rainy due to the typhoon. It's difficult to decide what to wear during this season with such drastic temperature changes. I stayed for about 2 hours. It was a happy moment to enjoy a delicious tea time. Thank you!

This restaurant is convenient to use whether it's day or night, before or after meals! I have been using the Sky Lounge even before the renovation, and I think it's a lounge where you can't go wrong no matter who you're with. The menu now includes photos, making it easier to understand compared to before. The view is great, and despite being in Shinjuku, the clientele is quite calm, so it can be used for a short time during the day or night. I would like to continue using it in the future. Although it's not shown in the photos, the roasted green tea cocktail was refreshing and delicious.

In a couple's seat facing a large window, the two talk about love while enjoying the Tokyo night view. Unfortunately, they are led to a booth further back, but the night view from here is also extraordinary. The food menu is varied and easy to nibble on, so you won't get bored. Moreover, the impeccable timing of the service and thoughtful care make it a truly enjoyable experience. Tonight, I went to the Sky Lounge Aurora on the 45th floor of Keio Plaza Hotel, directly connected to Tochomae Station on the Toei Oedo Line. I tried the Sky View Dinner Course which included Kanpachi Marinated with Firefly Squid Confit, Escargot and Mushroom Sausage with Garlic Parsley Cream Sauce, Pumpkin Soup & Bread, Roasted Beef Fillet with Red Wine Sauce, Dessert, Coffee, and Mineral Water. The lounge was renovated about 5-6 years ago and has a nice atmosphere with jazz music playing. The service was average, but the highlight was the delicious Pumpkin Soup and the Escargot with Garlic Parsley Cream Sauce. The night view of landmarks like the Skytree and Tokyo Tower was stunning, living up to the name "Sky Lounge". The only downsides were the deep sofas making it difficult to eat comfortably and the narrow spacing between tables leading to a slight sense of crowding when seated next to others. Overall, I think it's a good restaurant and I would like to visit again once my back pain is fully healed.

I went there for my daughter's birthday present. First, I was impressed by the beautiful window-side seat with a great view. Then, I was amazed by the delicious soup that was served first, the beautiful sweets displayed on a 3-tier stand like precious jewels, and the variety of tea available for free refills. Each sweet treat was intricately decorated and a feast for the eyes. The light snacks like sandwiches and meatballs were also delicious and did not disappoint. The floor staff were very polite and provided excellent service. In the midst of busy days, I was able to experience a wonderful escape from reality. It made me realize that indulging in such elegant moments once in a while can bring joy and refreshment to the soul.

This afternoon tea has a wide variety of drinks, not just black tea, but also Japanese tea, oolong tea, and coffee. The theme was Easter, so the presentation of sweets and savories was cute. They only offer afternoon tea on Saturdays now, and reservations are required.

Aurora at Keio Plaza Hotel on the high floors offers a stunning view of Shinjuku, with Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower visible. The night view is beautiful. The atmosphere is more important than the delicious food. The cocktails there are exceptional. I had a chocolate-based drink. The combination of the great view, tasty drinks, and atmosphere is wonderful. There are so many elements that make it enjoyable, and I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived just in time at 10:30 pm. I tried to make a reservation over the phone, but was told they were fully booked and that I would have to come in person to see if there were any available seats. I hurried to the restaurant and luckily they had a table for me. Initially, I was seated at a booth, but then they showed me to a table with a view of the night skyline. The beautiful view and my first cocktail made me feel amazing. I would love to come back for some special occasion in the future.

I went without a reservation. It turns out that the window seats were fully booked. Although we didn't get a window seat, we could still see the Skytree well. The night view was very beautiful. It's not often that you get to drink while enjoying a night view. We had a Caesar salad served in a chocolate cup and a glass of white and red wine each. The Caesar salad was delicious, made with romaine lettuce. The salty bacon was a bit of a concern, though. As expected from a hotel bar, the service was impeccable.

The dessert white chocolate plate had "Merry Christmas" written on it, and the event presentation was also good. In this lounge, the afternoon tea comes with a toast drink for an additional ¥500. Therefore, it is relatively easier to reserve on Saturdays as Sundays and holidays are harder to book. The serving speed is not slow, but rather, it seems to be due to the high number of customers and simultaneous entries at the same time. The food menu is large with many high-fat items, making it feel heavy. The sweets are not overly sweet, but they are large enough to make you feel full.

On our wedding anniversary, we often have a meal at the restaurant inside Keio Plaza Hotel where we had our wedding ceremony, but this year we decided to go to Sky Lounge Aurora. We were seated at a spacious table by the window on a high floor, offering a stunning view of Shinjuku, Skytree, Tokyo Tower, and Shibuya. We chose the Sky View Dinner with a 2-hour free-flow drink option. The course was quite substantial, from appetizers to dessert, and each dish was enjoyable. The lounge is known for its excellent cocktails, and the drink package included some of their best cocktails. We enjoyed trying different cocktails while taking in the amazing night view. The staff's warm hospitality added to the wonderful experience, making it a memorable anniversary. This is a place I would love to visit again on our anniversary, as it holds many special memories for me.

The pumpkin soup appetizer created a gentle coating in my stomach. The afternoon tea mains were all delicious. The scones served at the right time were warm and showed excellent service. The teas were all winners, with the sweet potato and chestnut tea having a pleasant aroma similar to sweet bean paste. If you have room in your stomach, it's worth trying!

Yesterday, after enjoying the Chura 6th anniversary one-man live with my colleague, I wanted to continue savoring the afterglow, so I made a reservation at this restaurant. I reserved the course meal, and every dish was incredibly delicious. The duck meat, in particular, was exquisite. Next time, I'll make a reservation for my senior colleague's birthday. He loves night views, so it'll be perfect for him.

Even though I arrived at the last order about 20 minutes before closing, the pleasant service was unique to a hotel lounge. Truly impressive. I was only able to have one drink, but I would like to come back for another whiskey. Thank you for the meal.

At night, the interior of the restaurant becomes dark, and you can enjoy a view of the night scenery near Shinjuku Station. You can also see the Skytree directly in front of you. There are seats arranged side by side so you can enjoy the view, making it perfect for a date. For the appetizer, there was a dish with sliced raw fish and shellfish on top of grilled eggplant without skin, and the combination of the smoky flavor of the eggplant and the umami of the seafood was delicious. I wasn't very interested in shellfish before, but I have come to really like it.

Afternoon tea was used. The taste of the food was so-so, but the presentation was sparkling and got me excited. There were many drink options, and the staff frequently offered refills, which left a good impression. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere, it's the best.

At first, you might think it's just the aroma, but when you drink it, a tropical flavor reminiscent of a southern paradise comes through your nose. You might be able to enter the restaurant alone without worrying too much about the people around you. The afternoon tea starts with a delicious hotel-made bite-sized duck soup, followed by sweets, savories, and scones. It's a great place.

= R4.6 = I arrived at the 45th floor of Keio Plaza Hotel in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building just before 5:30 pm, during the still bright dusk. The casual plan I reserved through Ikkyu includes one meal, two drinks, and smoked nuts. For my first drink, I chose a Red Eye to pair with the Clubhouse Sandwich. The sandwich was hearty, with layers of chicken and egg lettuce, BLT, and a pickle skewer on the side. For my second drink, I had the City Light Peach Liqueur and Blue Syrup Long Cocktail, an original cocktail. As it approached 7 pm, I enjoyed the changing night view, noticing the Sky Tree directly in front and Tokyo Tower to the right after a while. I waited a bit longer to capture the night view at 7:30 pm.

The view may not be as good as expected, but the atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice. The staff are very friendly and the cocktails are well-made. The menu is good too. It's a lounge with a nice view, and there are quite a few mature adults, which was unexpected.

The alcohol was overall very delicious, but the dishes were not outstanding. I prefer my meat a little more tender. The dessert was average, similar to what you would find at a family restaurant. The atmosphere was great, making it perfect for a date night.
