I had plans to explore around Roppongi with my senior, and after finishing work at Akasaka Mitsuke at 9:30 pm, we were wondering what to do next. Surprisingly, the last subway train was still running, so we decided to take a short trip. However, I was a bit nervous about going to a high-class area like Akasaka, known for its luxury restaurants, as we were on a tight budget. But things have changed now. There were plenty of izakaya barkers around Akasaka Mitsuke station, holding cheap menu boards and wandering around. It felt similar to Shinbashi. Then, not far from there, I spotted a familiar sign, "Uogashi Nihonichi," where I often go for lunch. Since the other "Uogashi Nihonichi" locations in different areas are usually standing-style eateries in front of stations, where you can quickly grab a 1000 yen set and leave, I thought this style of serving delicious sushi for under 2000 yen was fantastic. But this is Akasaka we're talking about, and it was dinner time. There were no standing seats at all. My initial nervousness returned, and we quickly sat at a table to check the prices. As expected, the menu was reasonably priced (laughs). We promptly ordered a sushi set, some appetizers, and green tea highball to relax after work. Looking around the restaurant again, I felt a calm atmosphere with wooden decor and spacious aisles. The clientele was decent, and the staff seemed attentive, which I appreciated. We spent about 6000 yen for drinks and food for two in 1.5 hours, making it a fantastic performance in terms of cost-effectiveness.

This is a sushi restaurant located right outside Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. I used it for lunch with overseas guests. I reserved a private room and ordered the Lunch Limited Edition ◆ Kiwami [10 pieces] (1,980 yen). It came with 10 pieces of nigiri sushi, chawanmushi, and miso soup. The overseas members said they enjoyed it, including the chawanmushi, but for 1,980 yen lunch set, the quality of the sushi was a bit lacking. I was looking for a restaurant in Akasaka where I could reserve a private room for 10 people for sushi lunch, but there weren't many options available. It was disappointing to choose a place that was a bit of a letdown in the rarely disappointing Akasaka area.

The lunch menu offers nigiri sets ranging from around 1,000 yen to more luxurious sets around 2,000 yen. The photo shows a set around 1,200 yen. The service speed was decent, and considering the location, the taste and price were good value. Apart from nigiri sets, they also offer seafood bowls. There is a counter seating available, making it convenient for solo diners.

The Akasaka store has a special offer where on weekends and weekdays, you can get half-price on your favorite sushi when you order two pieces each. This makes it a great deal for two people as you can choose a variety of sushi. They also offer a lunch set which is also a good value. Everything we tried was delicious!

The sushi is half price on weekends all day and Monday to Wednesday nights, so it's a great deal. If you order two pieces at a time, it becomes the price of one piece. It's a hidden gem on weekends in Akasaka, so you can usually get in without a wait. Just be aware that the last order is at 8:30 pm, which is a bit early. The taste is better than standing sushi bars, and with the discount, the price is also cheap. Akasaka may not be known for sushi, but this place is definitely worth a visit for the great value. After work, we used it as a welcome party for new employees. I think it's reasonable. However, it was a bit difficult to get the attention of the staff even though it was empty. I also didn't want to call out too loudly. The food had a good volume and the quality was not bad. We had to leave by 19:00 on Friday night, but we had a good time.

I came for the first time on a holiday. It was quite crowded, I heard from people who went on holidays, but on Saturday and Sunday, the service where the sushi is half price was the reason for the crowd... People kept coming one after another, it was even busier than the end of the year. I knew that the all-you-can-eat had increased to 4620 yen, but when I looked at the menu, I couldn't help but stare... There was no fatty tuna, and the sea urchin and salmon roe came with cucumbers in the photo. It's almost like the main sushi items are gone. Yellowtail has been added to the menu, but it was out of stock... I was a little confused. It's the same sushi chef as last time, but he was busy with other orders and didn't come at all. The first time was 20 minutes later, and the second time was 10 minutes later. I couldn't keep ordering various things, so I ordered only one type. There were three sushi chefs including one new person, but it still took 10 to 15 minutes. The staff seemed too busy to even answer the phone. They should also explain to customers waiting for sushi for more than 10 minutes, especially those who didn't make a reservation. The mackerel sushi had better fat content than usual because it took so long to come. Since the sushi chef was taking so long, I ordered potato fries that I had never ordered before, but they came in a bowl before the sea urchin. Is this one serving? It's quite a lot, like it was bought from McDonald's on the second floor. It was time for the last order, but they didn't even have time to call... However, I felt awkward and ended it. I realized that the all-you-can-eat on Sunday is dangerous. But most of all, I am disappointed that it has become a regular sushi all-you-can-eat.

Yesterday, I invited a friend to have a last-minute lunch at my favorite cost-effective restaurant in front of Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. This place is a chain restaurant, but unlike other branches, it has table seats and serves delicious chawanmushi as a bonus, which is a nice touch. However, even though there were plenty of empty seats yesterday, it took quite a while for our sushi order to arrive. What's more, the female staff seemed to be in a bad mood and provided unfriendly service during check-in and ordering. Lately, the pleasant atmosphere of a restaurant is not only determined by the delicious food but also by the staff's attitude. It was very disappointing, especially since it's my favorite place.

I visited for lunch. It was around 12 o'clock on a weekday, and it was quite empty. I was in a hurry, so I chose the set menu. The service was quick and polite. For 800 yen, I got miso soup and chawanmushi included, and the taste and cost performance were great. I was very satisfied with my lunch.

Every time, the all-you-can-eat alone costs 4389 yen. Prices have gone up in February and March, but this place has not increased. I am impressed. There is only one other customer, and the mask case is gone. The chef is new to me. The sushi is large and slightly rough, but the presentation of uni and other toppings is good. The otoro is also slightly thickly sliced. It's rare to find a place that serves uni and otoro at this price. A senior chef came in halfway through and took over from the new chef starting from the 50th piece. The sushi from the senior chef is a bit smaller but well-shaped. The grilled conger eel has a slight salty flavor even without sauce, which is not bad. The otoro and chutoro change color halfway through, but it's okay... I had been ignoring the boiled whitebait, thinking it was a cheap dish, but I couldn't find it on the menu, and it seems to be only for the all-you-can-eat menu.

I made a reservation for the lunch course and visited the restaurant. I realized that all items were half off on weekends, so I thought it would have been better to go without a reservation and eat my favorite sushi. However, everything was delicious! I love drinking, so I ordered an additional drink set. It was great to be able to drink at a good deal.

In the evening, there were more people drinking while eating, and I only saw one other person there for the all-you-can-eat experience like me. It can get a bit slow when it's crowded, but overall it was a calm and enjoyable dining experience.

Until the end of the year on December 31st, I found that there were few restaurants offering lunch. The lunch set was priced at 1200 yen and included chawanmushi (savory egg custard) and miso soup. It was a bit disappointing that the chawanmushi was a bit overcooked. However, considering the price, it was a good value for money. The restaurant was spacious and allowed me to enjoy my lunch slowly.

At the end of the year, I felt like eating sushi while shopping, so I visited this place, which was still open at the end of the year. Well, compared to sushi restaurants that cost tens of thousands of yen, this place is definitely inferior, but it's nice to be able to eat freshly made sushi at this price. Well, I have a simple palate, so as long as I can eat seared salmon and engawa, I'm happy. The usual 90-minute all-you-can-eat sushi for 4,389 yen. Before entering, more than 10 group customers left. It seems crowded because it's the end of the year. I ordered the usual 5 types of sushi, 2 pieces each. The sushi here doesn't vary much... the amount of vinegar rice may differ depending on the chef, but the sushi toppings seem to be the same each time. In the end, people tend to go for expensive toppings like fatty tuna, sea urchin, and ark shell... Well, it's a good thing that they offer only fatty tuna, pure sea urchin, or just salmon roe. However, from some point on, they seem to be using different parts of yellowtail, and the fatty parts are often not included in the all-you-can-eat menu... even in other restaurants. On this day, there was another person doing all-you-can-eat, who had a similar pace to me but left after 45 minutes. Close to 6 pm, more salarymen started coming in, and the 2-seater and 4-seater tables near the entrance were almost full, while the back area had groups of 10 or more... it seemed like most of them had reservations. It was definitely bustling at the end of the year!

At 8:00 pm in Akasaka Mitsuke. Working remotely at the hotel is comfortable, but taking a break from long hours of computer work, I visited the restaurant "Uogashi Nihonichi" in front of the station. First, I toasted to myself with sparkling wine to relax (* ̄∇ ̄)ノ The fish roe and white fish milt are quite good. The assorted sashimi of the season includes fatty mackerel, yellowtail, and black sea bream. The freshness and texture are good, and it was delicious. The deep-fried river shrimp helps to alleviate the feeling of emptiness in the mouth with a pleasant crispy texture. I ordered a chawanmushi as a finale, but it took some time, so I opted for sushi instead...one piece each of shrimp, ark shell, snow crab, and crab miso. While slowly sipping hot tea, the chawanmushi finally arrived. The hot seafood chawanmushi with clams, shrimp, and scallops is delicious~♪ The total came to 4230 yen. What, you thought I was going to get away with it for free using the national travel support coupon? Just leave me alone~(-_-メ)

I wanted to eat a seafood bowl for lunch, so I had the two-color bowl with amberjack, sashimi, and seared fish! It's the pattern of sushi rice, right? Personally, I prefer white rice, but sometimes sushi rice is good too. Other people tend to have more sushi rolls, so maybe next time I'll try some sushi rolls too.

I was lured in by the weekend half-price campaign. A man who came after me was asked if he preferred the counter or a table, but I was not given a choice and was led to a table, which made me unhappy. The sushi pieces were on the larger side, so I worried that if it was all-you-can-eat, the rice would be even bigger and the balance might be off. I recommend getting smaller rice portions at half-price rather than opting for all-you-can-eat.

The usual all-you-can-eat option for 4,389 yen. This time, there was a different sushi chef. Despite more than 10 customers coming in one after another, the orders were handled promptly without any delays. At first, the servings were small, but later on they came in sets of 10. The menu didn't change at all, so I ended up eating the same things. I couldn't resist ordering the more expensive sushi, but the ones with toppings like ikura were really good. The sushi rice was slightly vinegary, maybe a bit larger today? The sea urchin was a little salty as usual. I always order the otoro and uni without fail, but the chutoro was a bit lacking this time. The anago was delicious, so I ordered 10 pieces, but the seared ones were a bit light on sauce. However, the lineup was great as always, and the quality and size of the sushi were consistent and reliable. It would be nice if they also offered an all-you-can-eat option for lunch.

Yum! Sushi is delicious for lunch, especially with lunchtime sake. It seems like an easy place to go, but it's not always easy to get there. The combination of sushi and Japanese sake is just perfect. The sushi made by the skilled chef is so tasty. The plumpness of the rice and the flavor of the toppings are different. I feel grateful and happy. Today seems like it's going to be a very good day.
