This is a bakery inside Asakusa View Hotel. It seems to be run by two women, and they have a very friendly shop. The way food establishments treat their customers often determines the taste of the food. Honestly, most bread from different shops tastes similar. This time, I bought a brioche and a Danish pastry. The brioche is subtly sweet and has a very rounded flavor. It is also a convenient size and delicious. I like that all the products are completely sealed in bags. The prices are reasonable for a shop inside a hotel.

I ordered takeout from Honoka. For my wife's lunch, I bought a green salad (540 yen) and fried vermicelli noodles (500 yen). For dinner, I got beef stew (610 yen x 3, really delicious), Yamagata pork sweet and sour pork (650 yen x 2, delicious sweet and sour pork), pork fried rice with char siu (600 yen, generous portion with finely chopped pickled radish adding a nice touch, light and delicious), pork simmered in a rich sauce (550 yen, tasty char siu flavor). I also bought some desserts. Orange jelly and kumquat compote sake lees savarin trifle (500 yen, the savarin is a bit distracting and the balance isn't great, I think it would be tastier with a simpler approach), chestnut and Earl Grey trifle (550 yen, it would be tastier without the chestnut), and salted almond jelly (320 yen, my wife thought it was sweeter than expected). The Chinese menu items are more delicious.

I bought a baguette. I hesitated a bit because it cost 400 yen, similar to the price at a trendy bakery in the city center. It felt like a hotel price. It was the first time I was asked if I wanted the baguette sliced when purchasing. I wished they had given me a bag for the baguette instead of just a paper bag. The baguette was dense with a chewy texture, similar to a French bread with a substantial weight.

I called my wife to ask what she wanted me to buy for her, and she said she wanted bread, so I decided to visit Honoka on the first floor of the View Hotel. The hotel had its restaurant on the first floor closed and was not selling many cakes. Honoka not only had bread but also a variety of Chinese dishes that looked quite delicious. In the end, I ordered Char Siu Fried Rice (600 yen, a light and tasty fried rice), Shanghai Yakisoba (500 yen, yakisoba made with thin straight noodles that was also delicious), Green Salad (540 yen), Croissant (220 yen), Cream Pan (230 yen), and the collaboration special Curry Pan by Kurihara Shinpei and Asakusa View Hotel (300 yen, a curry pan with a chewy texture rather than crispy, which was toasted before eating). The Chinese dishes were more delicious than the bread.

Today, I visited the area around Asakusa. It's getting difficult to find new bakeries when you keep going to the same area multiple times. It's hard to find good small bakeries in the Asakusa area, so I decided to visit "Honoka" located inside a hotel. Honoka... Honoka Takasaka... Love Live... Oh! My head...! Anyway, Honoka is an in-store bakery located in the View Hotel. The bakery inside the hotel gives a luxurious impression, but since the hotel itself is not that big, it has a somewhat casual feel. The entrance to the hotel is also small and you can easily enter and exit. The bakery is located on the 1st floor of the hotel, right at the entrance. They offer both sweets and bread, but they don't have a lot of cakes. About 60% of their offerings are bread, 20% are side dishes, and the remaining 20% are various other items. The bread lineup seems to appeal more to families and doesn't have many unique or distinctive items. Since it's a takeout-only shop, I brought the items home to try. Here's what I tried: - Hokkaido Salt Bread: A butter-wrapped bread made with Hokkaido wheat. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's their most popular item and tastes delicious when warmed up. - Honoka Melon Pan: A melon pan with a crispy outer cookie layer and a rich buttery taste. - Teriyaki Chicken Japanese-style Pizza: A chewy pizza dough topped with sweet and savory teriyaki chicken. - Pain au Chocolat: A chocolate-filled Danish pastry with a generous amount of chocolate. - Honey Mustard Sausage Paratha: A paratha filled with sausage and cheese, with a collaboration with the chef Shinpei Kuribara. The sausage and cheese have a nice Italian vibe. Hotel bakeries usually have a good selection in the morning, but this one was a bit limited in the afternoon. I recommend visiting around lunchtime.

I inquired with Asakusa View Hotel's Musashi about making a birthday cake, and they said they could make a round cake. The website mentioned heart-shaped and square cakes as options, but currently only round cakes are available. The prices for sizes were listed as 4th (12cm) for 2750 yen, 5th (15cm) for 3670 yen, and 6th (18cm) for 4690 yen. Since they also mentioned they accept sizes larger than 6th, I ordered a 7th size. When I asked about the price for the 7th size, they confidently said it would be 5600 yen. I double-checked if it was tax-inclusive, and they confirmed it was. Later, I found out from my little research that the typical price range for a 7th size cake is around 5500 to 6000 yen, so I thought the hotel's price was very reasonable. I provided the message for the cake plate, along with my name, phone number, and pick-up date and time. They confirmed that I could pick up the cake at Honoka on the 1st floor, not at Musashi. When I asked if Honoka also makes cakes, they mentioned that there is a cake-making department within the hotel. On the reservation day, I was guided by the doorman to Honoka, where a smartly dressed female staff member took out the cake from a dedicated refrigerator and confirmed the message plate. They even provided 10 candles of two different sizes, which was a nice touch. They also included extra cooling packs based on my travel time. The payment was handled by a male staff member. The cake was quite heavy and made me feel excited. As I returned to the hotel entrance, the doorman escorted me again, and I could smoothly head my way. While local cake shops are good, receiving a cake with an upright posture from a hotel feels nice. I chilled the cake until the evening, and when I showed it to my 7-year-old monster, he was delighted. We sang and blew out the candles in the evening, and the cake made us feel happy. I cut the cake into 8 pieces with a kitchen knife, and it was larger and more satisfying than the usual shortcake. A big cake is always a joy, no matter how old you are. The appearance and taste were conventional, but that simplicity made it difficult to hide any flaws with unnecessary additions or tricks. The cream was soft and delicious, and the sponge was fluffy and soft. It was advised to consume it on the same day, but I couldn't finish it all, so I kept half for the next day, and it was still delicious.

People have started calling me "old man" for some reason... The outside is crispy, the inside is fluffy, with a spicy sausage in the center. Spicy chili dog. I had it for a snack after lunch. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Tabelog score @3.41 This is a bakery located on the first floor of Asakusa View Hotel. I have purchased their bread several times and I really like it, so I visited again this day as I had some errands nearby. The location on the first floor of the hotel seems to be not very crowded, and it was empty on this day as well, so I could take my time to choose. The service is also excellent, and I always feel good after the brief conversations with the staff. Good customer service is really important, I realize. As for the taste, it is very delicious (I'm sorry I can't describe the deliciousness of bread in any other way than just saying it's delicious), I always try different breads and each time I find something new and delicious. I highly recommend it.

On the first floor of Asakusa View Hotel, there is a bakery. It is located right across from my favorite Asakusa Naniwaya Okame. I purchased the "Cranberry and Hazelnut Campagne" for 350 yen (including tax). The fine-textured dough is semi-hard. The cranberries and hazelnuts are balanced well and taste delicious.

As soon as you enter Asakusa View Hotel in July 2019, you will see a bakery that catches your eye. They skillfully make a five-story pagoda out of bread, which looks wonderful. The checkerboard pattern is also nice! I bought some to take home. The prices are reasonable for a hotel. They are similar to a nearby bakery. The Hokkaido salt bread (180 yen) is a classic and delicious. The Cheese salt bread (200 yen) is like a upgraded version of the salt bread, great for cheese lovers. The Red bean paste bun (220 yen) is also a classic with a gentle flavor. The Corn bread (220 yen) was delicious, especially for corn lovers like me. All of them had good flavors and I was very satisfied. I would like to go back to buy more.

Bakery shop located on the first floor of a hotel. The shop has a luxurious vibe being inside the hotel, with high-quality products on display. - Hokkaido wheat salt bread (tax included 180 yen): The salt bread was described as freshly baked. It may seem a bit small for the price, but when you pick it up with tongs, you can feel the crispy surface. Indeed freshly baked. The color and shine of the surface are good. One bite. Wow, it's great! The crispy texture is excellent! Soft, chewy, and crispy, the texture is wonderful. The saltiness is not too strong, and the flavor is just right. The umami flavor spreads nicely. It's really good!

Congratulations! Reiwa. Located on the 1st floor of Asakusa View Hotel, this bakery has a gorgeous atmosphere with black and gold as its main colors. The clientele seems to be on the older side, especially with many elderly female groups. They offer a classic lineup of items such as white bread, baguettes, red bean buns, curry buns, croissants, and sandwiches. There is a large workshop at the back of the shop where you can see the bread being made. I purchased a baguette (400 yen) and a salt bread (180 yen). While I thought it was slightly pricey, I realized that Asakusa bakeries tend to have lower prices, so maybe this is the norm here. The salt bread was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was quite salty but delicious! Highly recommended. The baguette had a sour aroma. It was okay, nothing particularly outstanding. I later found out on the View Hotel's website that they offer a limited quantity "Fire Burger" (1,000 yen) that is made to order. I would like to try it sometime. The bakery is located along Kaminarimon Street on the 1st floor of Asakusa View Hotel. It is a 3-minute walk from Tsukuba EXP Asakusa Station and about a 12-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station. It is within an 11-minute walking distance from Kaminarimon. Across the street diagonally, you will find Asakusa Rokkakuya, famous for its taiyaki.

I love the bread here♡ I want to eat it again☆ I want to buy it☆ I purchased a bread called "Ho" here. It was around 1,000 yen for one loaf. It's a bit pricey for bread, but it didn't disappoint in taste! It's fragrant and fluffy! I want to go buy it again! The subtle thoughtfulness of the box they put the bread in when you purchase it is also nice!

I forgot to mention last time, but during my first visit (summer to fall 2018), I found the baguette that came out with salt bread and firewood to be incredibly delicious. I even stopped by to buy some after my meal! I purchased both the soft and hard baguettes, but I personally found the hard baguette to be more delicious. I bought both the red bean-filled and plain salt bread, and the plain salt bread was so delicious that it appeared in my dreams! This time (winter 2018), there were many Christmas version breads lined up, so I bought a lot as souvenirs and treated them to my acquaintances. The salt bread with butter flavor was fantastic! The crispy and chewy bread was also delicious. When I expressed that I thought their bread was the most delicious in Japan, the staff humbly responded, but I prefer this bread over the famous bread shops in Odakyu Department Store basement or Isetan basement. I love this place precisely because it's not famous, making it easy to purchase. It's much appreciated!

This is a bakery located on the first floor of Asakusa View Hotel near JR Tsukuba Exp., just north of the station. The bakery has a variety of breads, including long-fermented baguettes and hard breads like campagne. I chose the milk rolls this time, which were soft and fluffy with a hint of sweetness. The bakery has a nice selection of hard breads that I would like to try next time I'm in the area.

A bakery located on the 1st floor of Asakusa View Hotel. Since it's inside the hotel, it has a reassuring cleanliness and a cozy atmosphere. I stopped by in the late afternoon, so there weren't many options left, but I bought walnut bread and pain au chocolat as souvenirs. The walnut bread had a strong walnut flavor, and the pain au chocolat had chocolate inside Danish pastry with chocolate spread on top. It looked like there were small chocolate balls on top, but they were actually chocolate-coated puffed snacks, which added a nice texture when eating the bread! If they were just regular chocolate balls, I don't think it would have been as delicious. I don't usually eat chocolate Danish pastries, but I would definitely buy them again if I visit Asakusa. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo before eating, so please refer to other people's posts for pictures.
