Visit date: July 9, 2023 (Sunday) Second stop on our Tsukiji food tour! We were drawn to the unique visual and strong impact of seafood on top of inari sushi, something we had never seen before, so we decided to try it out! The most popular choice was the Uni Ikura Inari for 1500 yen, but as a fan of sea urchin, I opted for the Uni Inari for 1500 yen, while my companion chose the Kani Ikura for 1000 yen. Payment could be made in cash or through PayPay. After paying, we had to wait in line for our orders to be prepared. Surprisingly, the wait in the pick-up line was longer than the wait at the cashier! While waiting, we spotted a special 2-piece set for 3000 yen. Based on the photo, it seemed to include Uni, Ikura, Kani, and Salmon on each piece! Each piece was individually packaged in a plastic container. The Uni Inari was incredibly luxurious with a rich flavor of sea urchin. Each piece was delicious. I also tried a bit of the Kani Ikura my companion ordered. The crab was juicy and the flavor was distinct! My sushi-loving companion was very impressed. Although it was a bit pricey per piece, it was convenient to enjoy our favorite toppings. It was a delightful meal! Next time we visit, we would like to try the special set.

I chose the crab rice ball after much deliberation, which cost between 1000 to 1500 yen. When I placed my order, the chef started preparing it right next to me. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that the crab was watery. In the end, I received the rice ball topped with salmon roe. I enjoyed it outside the shop with some soy sauce. Despite the overflowing salmon roe, the crab made the rice a bit watery. I should have gone with sea urchin or salmon instead. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I visited with my middle school daughter on a Sunday afternoon. Tsukiji definitely feels like one of the cities where you can fully experience the inbound effect, as it was overflowing with people from foreign countries. The taste of the Inari sushi was really good, but it was definitely priced for tourists. 1500 yen for one piece is expensive.

I ordered the Crab and Salmon Roe Inari for ¥1000. The taste was honestly average. The price seems reasonable when you consider that it includes seafood. I don't have the courage to spend more for something like Sea Urchin Inari, which costs ¥1500. However, it's not bad, and the service from the staff was also good, so it's just average!

I love inari sushi, so when I passed by the restaurant, I couldn't resist stopping by. I ordered the crab and salmon roe inari sushi, and they generously piled it up right in front of me. It was luxurious and delicious! The flavors of the crab and salmon roe complemented each other well, and the balance was perfect. The inari sushi was also delicious, with sweet fried tofu filled with rice, making it very satisfying and filling. Overall, it was a great experience!

The second stop on the Tsukiji food tour was the seafood inari sushi restaurant "Tsukiji Kaisen Takarabune". The menu is similar to the now closed seafood inari sushi restaurant "Tsukiben". Located next to the famous tamagoyaki shop Marubu, the sign still reads "Machi○○ya Mikku". They offer a variety of inari sushi such as sea urchin, crab, salmon, and more ranging from 800 to 1500 yen. I tried the sea urchin inari for 1500 yen. After ordering and paying, you wait in line for your freshly made inari sushi. The toppings of sea urchin and ikura are added slowly by a woman in front of you. The ikura was fresh and the sea urchin was decent. The inari sushi had a mild sweetness and was delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went to Tsukiji Outer Market with my friend to try different foods. After reading Mr. Marevi Umihiko's post, we decided to visit a few specific shops. The first place we went to was Tsukiji Kaisen Takarabune. Despite the different signboard, we found the place easily. There were many people around, including a famous tamagoyaki shop and a yakitori shop next door. There was a bit of a line at Takarabune, but we managed to get our hands on their Uni Ikura Inari Sushi. The Uni and Ikura were fresh and delicious, and the sushi was not too sweet, which paired well with the seafood. It was my first time trying seafood inari sushi, and I was very satisfied.

Sea urchin and salmon roe for 1500 yen. The large inari sushi is topped with sea urchin and salmon roe, with a taste that matches its appearance - sweet fried tofu is prominent. There are samples on a standing table, so it might be good to take a picture holding them for a stylish photo.
