I had some business to attend to outside Tsukiji Market and ended up becoming a lunch refugee. Luckily, I stumbled upon Nikugaki-san, a beef cutlet restaurant. It's located just before crossing the Kachidoki Bridge from Tsukiji's outer market. Inside the small restaurant, there is a counter with about 6 seats. It seemed like mostly nearby office ladies were dining there. Despite it being quite crowded, I managed to get a seat right away. The staff seemed busy with deliveries and takeout orders being their main focus. I ordered the steak set meal, which came with a well-balanced miso soup and salad for around 1200 yen. The portion of meat was generous, and you could have unlimited rice and salad refills. You could also choose from 3 different types of steak. In a time where many restaurants are increasing their prices due to being in tourist areas, it was refreshing to find a place that offered good value for money and delicious food. I imagine it must be tough for them since the inner market has moved, but I hope they continue to do well. I will definitely visit again. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Platto, for today's lunch, I explored the area around Tsukiji Station. Exiting from Exit 1 of Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Tsukiji Station, you will come out onto Shiodome Avenue. Turn right on Shiodome Avenue and walk towards the Harumi Street direction for a while. When you reach Harumi Street, turn left and continue straight towards the Harumi direction. Keep going straight until you reach the first traffic light, cross it, and continue straight. After a short walk, you will find "Beef Cutlet Nikugaki" on your left, where I visited today. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:20 pm on a weekday. The first floor of the restaurant is small, with only counter seats. There were two men and one solo customer inside. Since the seat at the far end of the counter was available, a male staff member guided me there. I checked the menu, which included options like Beef Cutlet Set, Sirloin Cutlet Set, Harami Cutlet Set, Pork Fillet Cutlet Set, Fried Chicken Set, Kalbi Steak Set, Hamburger Set, Beef Cutlet Curry, Sirloin Cutlet Curry, Harami Cutlet Curry, Pork Fillet Cutlet Curry, Fried Chicken Curry, Kalbi Steak Curry, Hamburger Curry, etc. Seeing a large sign above the entrance saying "Fall in love! Beef Cutlet Nikugaki," I decided to try the recommended Beef Cutlet Set. I placed my order with the male staff member and waited for about 9 minutes. The Beef Cutlet Set was served, consisting of Beef Cutlet, shredded cabbage, potato salad, demi-glace sauce, rice, and miso soup. There were condiments like Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, dressing, and salt on the table. The Beef Cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a slight pink hue. I tried it with salt first and then with various sauces and wasabi. It was delicious and well-matched with the seasonings. I enjoyed the meal, especially with the complimentary rice and cabbage. After finishing the meal with miso soup, I left satisfied. It was a delightful experience at Beef Cutlet Nikugaki. Thank you for the meal.

The sirloin set meal (1000 yen) with miso soup, with unlimited cabbage and rice refills. Hmm... it was a bit greasy. The sirloin itself or the frying oil may be the issue, as there was an unpleasant smell. It felt heavy and might cause indigestion. The texture was chewy and good though. They also offer all-you-can-eat options and you can add all-you-can-drink for 980 yen.

I found this restaurant on Instagram and was curious about it, so I decided to go for lunch since it's close to my office. I tried the popular No.1 Beef Katsu Set for 1300 yen. The beef cutlet was cooked rare in the middle, and the meat was moist and tender. You can choose to eat it with sauce, special sauce, soy sauce, or wasabi. The cabbage is also all-you-can-eat. It was even more delicious than it looked!!

I had always been curious about Beef Katsuya. It is located a short walk from Kachidoki Bridge. I wasn't in the mood for fried food, so I decided to have steak. Cabbage and rice were free refills, so I had some cabbage. The meat was very tender and satisfying to eat. The miso soup was a red miso-based pork soup! It's nearby, so I plan to go again.

The beef cutlet was very tender and delicious. The demi-glace sauce was tasty, but personally, I prefer to eat it with wasabi and soy sauce. I could eat as many of these beef cutlets as I want, so next time, I want to challenge the all-you-can-eat and drink option.

Yesterday, I had to work late unexpectedly, so today I had lunch at Tsukiji. I had the beef cutlet from Nikugaki. The crispy coating on the outside encased juicy, medium rare beef. It was so tender! Delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Located on the corner of Tsukiji 6-chome intersection, on the Ginza side heading towards Kachidoki Bridge, you will find it on the left. There is a big sign, so you should be able to spot it easily. Recently, due to the impact of COVID-19, they also sell takeout at the storefront. Despite the large sign, the interior of the restaurant is small, with a narrow entrance of less than 3 meters. Inside, there is a counter on the left side with about 6 seats. There is also a second floor with the same layout, only counter seats. As there were three of us, we were guided to the second floor. The restaurant is called "Beef Katsu Nikugaki," but they also serve pork (tonkatsu). We ordered the lunch menu's aged pork tenderloin cutlet set. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be served. When it comes to tonkatsu, places like Yamagoya, Taisho, and Katsuichi come to mind, so this one was a bit smaller in size. I believe the reason for the longer wait time is to fry it slowly at a low temperature to make the coating crispy with a firm texture. The crispy coating and the tenderness of the meat were indescribably delicious. The staff recommended using wasabi soy sauce, which enhanced the flavor of the tenderloin even more. The fact that you can have unlimited rice and cabbage refills is also a plus. Personally, I enjoyed the curry-flavored macaroni salad that was served next to the cabbage. The service from the staff was excellent. If you walk about 5-6 minutes towards the Ginza side, a set meal like this would cost around 1500 yen, but here it is only 1000 yen, making it a great value for money.

I was curious about this place after a business meeting with a customer. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:10, thinking it might be too early, but it was already open! Thank you. After much deliberation, I decided to have the Harami Katsu set meal at the counter on the first floor. They were also selling takeout beef cutlet sandwiches at the storefront, which is one of my favorite dishes. The freshly fried Harami Katsu arrived! You can have unlimited refills of rice and cabbage. I was recommended to try wasabi soy sauce as the sauce. As for the taste, the beef harami cutlet was delicious with a hint of pink inside. Come to think of it, it's been a while since I had thick beef like this outside. I am completely satisfied. It was a feast for my taste buds!

The beef cutlet is their specialty, but since I had eaten a lot of breaded ones yesterday, I decided to have the steak set meal. The portion size for this price is amazing! It's a volume that meat lovers can't resist, with a crispy exterior and juicy medium rare inside. Refills for rice, cabbage, and black oolong tea are free. The black oolong tea is a nice touch. They also serve warm tea at the end, showing their thoughtful service. I'd like to try the beef cutlet next time!

The beef cutlet set meal at Tsukiji is delicious and not heavy. The tender yet firm red meat is fried in a crispy batter with a strong heat and a gentle rice oil, resulting in a light and flavorful Western-style dish. The thick cut of beef is a standout feature, offering a luxurious dining experience. The meat is tender with a rich flavor and no greasiness, complemented by a good quality oil. The cutlet can be enjoyed on its own or with the demi-glace sauce provided on the side. The rice is also cooked perfectly, adding to the overall deliciousness of the meal. Overall, the beef cutlet at Tsukiji is a must-try for meat lovers.

With the relocation of Tsukiji Market to Toyosu, many shops have disappeared, and in the new year, they are working on new ventures outside the market. It's great to see a new meat shop opening up. While there are already famous tonkatsu shops, having beef cutlets is a nice addition. However, I don't eat beef cutlets often, so my comparison is limited. The taste is good, but the price of 1300 yen is a bit high, making it less accessible for frequent visits.

I was in Tsukiji and found a new restaurant, so I decided to visit it. The name of the restaurant is Beef Cutlet Nikugaki. In addition to beef cutlets, they also serve hamburgers and curry. This time, I ordered the beef cutlet set meal. When it was served, the middle part looked rare and delicious. They provided three types of sauce: sauce, soy sauce, and demi-glace, and recommended trying all of them. The meat was tender and the batter was flavorful, which paired well with the rice. I personally liked the soy sauce, which had a sweet taste like tamari. They also served side dishes, and I would like to come back again to enjoy them at a leisurely pace.

I tried the beef cutlet at a newly opened restaurant in Tsukiji on 11/29, which is a special day for good meat. The cutlet was crispy and delicious, especially when dipped in sauce, demi-glace, soy sauce, and wasabi soy sauce. It tasted as good as it looked! I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank you for the delicious meal.
