I bought a cheesecake and a "croissant-like bread" at the bakery. When you warm up the croissant bread, it really tastes like a croissant and is delicious. The plastic bag for the bread is also specially designed for bread. I went right before closing and got them at half price due to their efforts towards SDGs.

After seeing the photo and feeling curious, I bought the cheesecake. It was smaller than I imagined, but it had a rich and luxurious taste. The texture was enjoyable with two different flavors in the surface and inside, giving a sophisticated and high-quality cake.

This is a patisserie located about a 5-minute walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station, inside Keio Plaza Hotel. The atmosphere inside is elegant, and they sell cakes, bread, hotel-made pastries, curry, and more. During a conference, I purchased the Hotel Bread for 1,200 yen at this shop. The bread was fluffy, slightly sweet, and incredibly delicious. I would definitely want to buy the Hotel Bread again when I come to Keio Plaza Hotel.

I reserved a birthday cake for takeout and there were no extra paper napkins. I chose the smallest size, 13cm, which is for 2-3 people, but it might also be enough for 4 people. It's a light and refreshing cake, so if you like it, you might finish it all by yourself! It's worth the cost!

Originally it was a local delivery service, but this time I opted for pick-up at Poppins. The French appetizers were enough for 2-3 people and had a shelf life of 2 hours, so be careful. The foie gras was so delicious that it melted in your mouth. I think it's great value for money and highly recommend it. I wish they would do something like this for Christmas too.

I bought a Mont Blanc cake at this established hotel and the service was very polite. The cake had a thin sponge layer topped with plenty of cream and a little bit of chestnut paste in the middle. It also had a generous amount of chestnuts and a hint of liquor. This cake is relatively affordable compared to other items at the hotel's shop. I also found the raisin bread intriguing.

Visited the store in search of a birthday cake on February 26, 2022 (Saturday). Unfortunately, they could not accommodate a birthday cake unless ordered three days in advance. Ended up purchasing a cheesecake and Baumkuchen instead.
[German Cheesecake] ¥450-
For hotel quality, it is very cheap! I'm not sure about the origin or meaning of "German," but it has a unique taste compared to regular cheesecakes. The texture is very fluffy. I was expecting a firmer cheesecake, so it was a bit of a letdown.
[Baumkuchen] ¥172- ¥216-
Rather than being heavy, it has a fluffy texture. The White Veil Baumkuchen is coated with sugar, which is irresistible for those with a sweet tooth. The ¥172 Baumkuchen is not as sweet, making it enjoyable for anyone.
This shop offers authentic hotel-style Western sweets at affordable prices. If you want a birthday cake, make sure to reserve it three days in advance!

◎Frege◎Savarin I love the Mont Blanc cake here, but unfortunately it was not available on that day. Instead, I decided to try a cake I had never had before. ⭐︎Frege It was an elegant cake with a refreshing sweetness of whipped cream and a fluffy sponge. I was delighted by the sweet and large strawberries on top. ⭐︎Savarin The rum was soaked generously in the cake, and when I dug in with a fork, it oozed out beautifully. Despite not being a fan of alcohol, I found the sweet rum flavor enjoyable. It was disappointing that the Mont Blanc was not available, but I was glad to discover another delicious cake instead.

This is a cake shop located on the 2nd floor of Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku! They also sell bread, so I decided to stop by when I was nearby. When you enter the hotel from the ground entrance, it seems like you are on the 3rd floor, so going down to the 1st floor gives you a feeling of going underground. Inside, near the entrance, there were breads. Since there were no trays and the breads were packaged, I thought we had to grab them with our hands, but then an elderly chef hurriedly (probably his best effort) brought a tray for us. Despite the excellent service that makes you think it's a top-notch hotel, I honestly thought they should consider a better place for the trays in the back that is not easy to notice. There were only breads and croissants, so there weren't many options. I purchased the croissant and brioche, took them home, and tasted them. Now, about the taste... The croissant was on the chewy side and had a strong buttery flavor, which was delicious. However, it was a bit too refined and subdued to leave a strong impression. The brioche seemed bland at first bite, but then a milky flavor spread nicely in the mouth, making it delicious. Since the size is small, if they were lined up at a hotel breakfast buffet, I would definitely eat a few. The elegant and courteous service unique to a hotel was good, so I'm thinking of visiting again to buy some cakes next time.

I used to love the pound cake at the Hall, but I received a single package. It seems that it costs 220 yen per pack. The flavors are brandy and lemon cake. It has a moist texture with a hint of Western liquor. It's elegant and delicious. The brandy and orange liqueur flavor the brandy cake, while the lemon liqueur flavors the lemon cake. The sponge part is also elegant in color, and the packaging is also elegant.

"Like a croissant, but bread" Interested? 6/6 Sunday around 13:10, there were about 4 groups of customers before and 2 groups after at the Boulangerie & Patisserie on the 2nd floor of Keio Plaza Hotel. At the entrance of the shop, there was a big sign that said, "Just like a croissant, but bread." After having a buffet at "Glass Court" and feeling very full, I couldn't resist buying some bread. I ordered a small loaf for 1,300 yen, which seemed a bit pricey but promising. They said it uses the dough of 10 croissants. The texture was fluffy and the crust was crispy. It was recommended to slice it thick and lightly toast it, which I did. It was delicious, with a buttery aroma. It was a bit messy to eat but really tasty. The texture was different from a regular croissant because it was sliced. It's hard to describe, but it was really good. I recommend reheating it to make it like a rusk. I ate half of it for dinner and ended up feeling a bit of heartburn. I basically ate the equivalent of 5 croissants in one go. Be careful not to overeat. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

A shop that offers cakes, bread, and pastries in addition to the ones served in the hotel's cafe and restaurants. I bought a cake that caught my eye at the restaurant "Jurin." It was the "Fraise Fromage" cake, made with strawberries and cheese. This shop offers a variety of sweets that change with the seasons.

I ordered the famous Christmas cake from Keio Plaza Hotel! This cake was made by Chef Patissier Heita Mogi. The chocolate rose on top is a distinctive feature, incredibly beautiful and intricate. Not only was it visually stunning, but the taste was exquisite. The cake consisted of genoise, griotte cherries, pistachio cream, nougat cream, vanilla cream, and gateau chocolat, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The name of the cake, "Raya," means "gift" in Finnish, and it truly was a wonderful present, perfect for a memorable Christmas. It had a striking appearance and an equally elegant taste, making it a cake to remember for a special Christmas celebration.【Cake Received】Raya 5,280 yen

There are Japanese sweets, baked sweets, and bread available. I visited in the evening, so the selection was quite limited, but I chose the following item from the remaining Japanese sweets: Savarin au Rhum, ¥650. There is a syringe filled with rum syrup sticking out of it. First, I took a bite as it is. The syrup gushes out from the brioche dough. It has a good aroma and the sweetness is slightly restrained. The whipped cream adds richness. For the remaining half, I injected the syrup from the syringe. The rum fragrance hits you. This is how a Savarin should be! However, my overall impression after finishing it is that it was quite refreshing.

I decided to take out some cakes since I was nearby. I ordered a shortcake and a Gateau Marjolaine chocolate cake. Although they had a low-sugar shortcake option using rice flour for the sponge, I chose the regular shortcake as it was said to be sweeter. The shortcake was not too sweet, with large juicy strawberries. I'm glad I chose the regular one. The chocolate cake had a rich cream and cocoa bitterness, with a light sponge that balanced well. It was delicious.

Before dinner at the hotel, I stopped by the food boutique Poppins. Since it was close to closing time, there were only 3 types of cakes left, which was a shame. - Chocolate Orange 648 yen - Tart Fruits Rouge 702 yen After informing the hotel about dinner, they even brought the cakes to the hotel and stored them in the shop's refrigerator. The hotel service was much appreciated.

At Keio Plaza Hotel, there is a bakery selling bread, sweets, and chocolates. The chocolate box at the entrance catches your eye, and the cakes inside the display case look delicious. I bought bread for the next morning here. The Honey and Cream Cheese bread costs 240 yen, and the Brown Sugar and Black Honey Milk French bread costs 216 yen. Despite being inside a hotel, the prices are quite reasonable. I was surprised. The Milk French bread didn't have as much brown sugar or black honey flavor as I expected, which was disappointing. However, the milk paste was gentle and tasty. The Honey and Cream Cheese bread had plenty of cream cheese, making it very satisfying. The packed texture for this price is wonderful. It's a convenient and nice bakery. ♫

While walking near Shinjuku Nishiguchi, I remembered that I needed to buy some sliced bread. I found a bakery inside Keio Plaza Hotel and decided to check it out. I was planning to buy some bread along with something else, but I got distracted by a low-sugar shortcake in the cake showcase. Despite trying to cut down on sugar recently, I couldn't resist and ended up buying the shortcake as well. It cost around 600 yen, a bit more expensive than a regular shortcake. I was skeptical about the taste, but when I finally tried it, it was delicious. It had a great flavor that didn't seem different from a regular shortcake. I really enjoyed it. The sliced bread I bought was also tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, it's a bakery in a hotel setting but offers quality products that can be enjoyed on a regular basis. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I purchased the "Ehomaki" from Ginza Kyubei, which is only available from February 1st (Sat) to 3rd (Mon). It costs 1,890 yen per roll. Instead of buying it from the Ginza Kyubei store on the 7th floor of Keio Plaza Hotel, I found it being sold from a wagon in front of "Poppins" on the 2nd floor of Keio Plaza Hotel. The roll contains special egg, shrimp, mushrooms, conger eel, cucumber, and vinegar rice. The taste is quite strong, especially the sweetness of the mushrooms. It is delicious, but it made me a bit thirsty, so I had to drink some tea. It also came with pickled ginger, which was a nice addition. The traditional custom is to eat Ehomaki on the night of Setsubun, but the expiration date is today at 6 pm, so I couldn't wait until Setsubun on February 3rd. This year, the lucky direction is said to be slightly southwest, but I just faced roughly southwest while eating it. Although I may not receive the traditional blessings of making a silent wish while eating Ehomaki, I enjoyed devouring the thick roll from Kyubei.

There are 4 types of cakes: brandy cake, lemon cake, chocolate cake, and tea cake. This time, I chose the tea cake. The description says, "Earl Grey tea is richly blended and carefully baked. The refreshing scent of bergamot spreads in your mouth, creating an exquisite taste." I didn't quite understand at first, but after taking a bite of the cake, I somehow got the idea. Thank you for the meal.
