The first stop on the Asakusa drinking tour was oysters. We started with bottled beer, Hokkaido oysters, and Maruemon. The oysters today were said to be the richest, but they were actually quite light. We also ordered tuna sashimi salad, grilled edamame, firefly squid wrapped in shiso leaves tempura, and Hoppy. The tuna, mizuna, new onions, and myoga salad was fresh and delicious. We were disappointed when grilled edamame arrived instead of roasted soybeans, but we decided to let it go. I usually only eat firefly squid raw or boiled in vinegar miso, but tempura wrapped in shiso leaves was very intriguing. Dip it in salt and enjoy. For the finale, we had another oyster, this time from Nagasaki. Even though we only had two oysters at the oyster restaurant, they were still delicious. I want to eat as many raw oysters as I can!

I didn't take a photo, but the oyster fry was especially delicious so I had seconds! I don't remember what I drank, but I think I had some sake too! Oysters and sake are a perfect combination, so it was great! I love oysters, so I was happy to try a variety of them!

The cheaper bottles of wine, both red and white, were said to be out of stock. They should have informed us in advance or removed them from the menu. The dishes served in small portions were expensive, so the cost performance was poor. The aioli had too much salt. Overall, there was nothing about the taste or service that would make me want to visit again.

I visited a oyster restaurant I heard about through word of mouth for the first time. The shop was small with a few counter seats and about 3 table seats. It was easy to enter even if you're alone. - Bottle of beer (medium) 600 yen - Assorted three kinds of obanzai (side dishes) 980 yen - Fresh oysters (produced in Aioi, Hyogo Prefecture) 560 yen - Fresh oysters (produced in Tekiya, Mie Prefecture) 680 yen - Green tea highball 500 yen - Scallop and mushroom udon 780 yen Although I was welcomed when I entered, there was no explanation of the menu or the condiment set on the table, giving the impression that it was a shop for regular customers. The obanzai dishes reminiscent of Kyoto were impressive. The assortment seemed to go well with sake or wine. It seemed like they had fewer items on the menu than what was listed on Tabelog, perhaps due to the New Year season. It looks like it would be fun to visit a few times. If I have the chance, I would like to go back.

I enjoyed my favorite fresh oysters at a reasonable price during Happy Hour with a discount of 100 yen. You can enjoy them lightly with lemon and ponzu, or savor the rich creaminess of the oysters with just lemon. The restaurant was very kind, offering complimentary buri daikon and strawberries as palate cleansers. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Oysters are a drink!! With this password, my oyster-loving friend and I visited a restaurant using the reservation system on Tabelog. The entrance of the restaurant is bright and open with glass windows. I could smell a bit of disinfectant from the kitchen, giving a sense of good hygiene. Thanks to our reservation, we were seated at a table in the back. The counter had homemade fruit liquor bottles, which added a nice touch to the ambiance. We started with a hot water mixed with Tomonohozan sake and a platter of 3 types of fresh oysters. Cheers! We used a Tabelog coupon for a 10% discount on the oysters, so we ordered another platter. The oysters came with ponzu sauce, green onions, grated radish, and lemon, giving us two different ways to enjoy them with plenty of condiments. We also tried the seafood salad with rice crackers as a unique touch. One dish that caught our attention was the hot water dipped in raw wheat gluten. It was served in a large bowl with a rich broth and topped with tender wheat gluten. The oyster gratin with two oysters was a highlight for us. We also enjoyed the garlic stir-fried oysters and vegetables, which went well with our drinks. We ordered a mandarin orange liquor and indulged in another platter of fresh oysters, this time with three different varieties. It would have been nice to have a closing oyster dish, but we were still very satisfied with the freshness and quality of the seafood. It takes courage to run a seafood restaurant independently, and we could feel the dedication to serving delicious food. The service was excellent, and we were even served persimmons as a nice finishing touch. If I ever visit Asakusa again, I would definitely come back to this restaurant. Today, I had oysters at this restaurant! The fresh oysters here are all delicious, and there are various types to choose from. I especially like the "Maruemon" from Hokkaido, which is packed with meat. I was planning to try different restaurants, but I ended up staying here for a while and having multiple servings of oysters! If you want to enjoy delicious oysters in Asakusa, I recommend this restaurant! The crab miso was also delicious, and the other seafood dishes looked appetizing, so I definitely want to come back for a full meal next time. Thank you for the meal!

On Sunday at 7:30 pm, Asakusa is always lively on weekends, so I decided to wander around the downtown area today. I want to get drunk from morning to night someday, haha. Recently, there are more and more standing-eating and standing-drinking places that are easy to enter alone, especially in Asakusa where you can try a variety of foods. I ordered: 1) Two types of raw oysters - one with a slightly strong salty taste and one creamy. Unfortunately, it was almost last order when I arrived at the restaurant, so there weren't many options for oyster types. 2) Grilled oysters with ponzu sauce - Enjoy the hot, juicy oysters grilled with rich ponzu sauce, but be careful not to burn yourself, haha. 3) Fried oysters - Personally, I felt that the breaded coating was a bit too thick here... I still prefer the oysters and shrimp from a certain chain for fried oysters. 4) Deep-fried yuba and nama-fu with dashi broth - I cheated a bit and tried this Kyoto-style dish! Why is nama-fu so delicious? I reviewed it when I went to Kanazawa in the past, but I wish I had an endless stomach... The dashi broth is a bit salty at first, but when eaten with yuba and nama-fu, it becomes more mellow. The nama-fu is coated with potato starch and fried to make it chewy, and it seems to absorb the broth from the surroundings, creating a sense of unity! The yuba and nama-fu blend well with the dashi broth, making it a wonderful dish that warms the heart.

On October 8, 2018 (Health and Sports Day), it was the final day of the Kappa Bridge Tool Festival. While enjoying a delicious Western meal and strolling around the Nakamise area, we came across a restaurant where the aroma of grilled oysters wafted from the grill. Since both my wife and I love oysters, we decided to enter "Kakiya Daimasa" restaurant. The restaurant was almost full, so we secured seats at the counter right in front of the wall and carefully examined the extensive menu of dishes and drinks. We ordered grilled oysters, fried oysters, raw oysters, bottled beer, and a set of white hoppy. The drinks arrived five minutes later, but the food service was slow, so if you're in a hurry, it's better to drink at the "Hoppy Street"! The grilled oysters were overcooked and shrunk, which was disappointing. There was nothing special about the fried oysters. The ginkgo nuts had a beautiful emerald green color, and we enjoyed them with rock salt. We ordered an extra hoppy during the set, totaling two drinks, while my wife switched from bottled beer to a lemon sour, and I also had a hoppy. However, the slow food service was a downside, so we won't be visiting again.

Near Senso-ji Temple, along a small alley, there is a lively restaurant where the staff enthusiastically call out, "How about some oysters!" I couldn't resist and ended up ordering the lunch set with fried oysters. The set came with miso soup and side dishes like simmered taro. The oyster plate included fried oysters with tartar sauce and greens. I enjoyed the Hiroshima oysters used that day. The scallop mixed rice was also delicious. I look forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy white wine with fresh oysters.

I couldn't eat raw oysters at a weekend drinking party, so I looked for a place where I could eat them and found this restaurant, so I went in. There were hardly any customers, probably because it was a weekday. They had 5 types of raw oysters ranging from 400 to 700 yen, and I ordered 3 to try. I compared the most expensive and cheapest ones, but the taste didn't necessarily match the price. Personally, I thought the one around 440 yen was the most delicious. I can't remember the exact origin, but I guess it's a matter of personal preference. It was indeed tasty, but it left a slightly pricey impression. I don't go to oyster bars often, so I'm not sure about the usual prices. I heard that some people confirmed the price per oyster before entering, so maybe it's considered expensive. They offer a 10% discount on raw oysters with a coupon, so if you go, it's better to use that. Apart from raw oysters, I also tried a few other dishes, and the one I really liked was the assorted vegetable tempura. It had 5-6 types of vegetable tempura in each serving, and it was around 680 yen. You could enjoy it with two types of salt, and it was a great snack to go with drinks. It was the most satisfying dish I had there.
