I wanted to eat delicious Edomae sushi, so I went to this restaurant. The menu has only one omakase course for 6,000 yen, which is reasonable. It includes:
- Appetizer
- Sashimi
- Grilled dish
- Seasonal dish
- Seasonal vegetables
- Nigiri sushi
- Soup
The appetizer was marinated tsubugai and sardine with lemon and daikon, very refreshing. The sashimi had 7 different kinds, very satisfying. The seasonal vegetables were grilled edamame with salt in a skillet, very tasty. The seasonal dish was katsuobushi and shishito peppers skewered like yakitori. The grilled dish included Saikyo yaki, thick and fluffy aburaage, and buri daikon. Finally, the highlight was the Edomae sushi, which was small but delicious pieces of various types of fish, from white fish to uni. The cost performance was surprisingly good, and I would love to come back.

The portion size is perfect for everyday use. The assorted delicacies were just right for enjoying with hot sake. When I requested simmered fish, it was also delicious and went well with the alcohol. The sushi had a good balance with less rice, so I would like to try more next time.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, but the taste was average.

I went with some expectations, but there were many young people and the prices were reasonable, so it seemed like a popular spot for dates. There were also many regular customers, making it a casual and enjoyable place.

I stopped by after work and it was quite good. I ordered a sashimi assortment, smoked salmon belly, and grilled bonito with sake. The bonito with sake lees had a very deep flavor that I hadn't experienced much before. The smoked salmon belly is one of my favorites, and the grilling here was particularly good!

- Conclusion
The atmosphere is great and it's easy to get carried away in conversation here. It's conveniently located near Azabu-Juban Station, with a good selection of interesting Japanese sake and delicate, enjoyable food. I definitely want to visit again with friends next time.

Located in a building close to Azabu-Juban Station, this place was recommended by a friend and I visited on the weekend. The sign is small and hard to spot, but that's part of the charm in Azabu-Juban. Going down to the basement, the cozy interior with a counter and one table for four creates a fantastic atmosphere. Starting with fresh raw baby clams as a complimentary appetizer, the sashimi and sushi are small but packed with flavor. It's a bit on the pricey side, but leaving with a sense of satisfaction makes it worth it.

A very affordable and cozy Japanese restaurant - from appetizers to sushi, it's a satisfying place. The silver cod here is the best, we always end up eating 2 or 3 per person. The friendly chef even shares secret menu items with us. Oh, I want to go back again!

It had been a while, so a friend and I went to this restaurant together. We opted for the course menu (6000 yen) and started with a free beer thanks to a coupon. We began with appetizers, followed by sashimi and sweet potato shochu. The grilled eggplant was delicious. For the grilled dish, we were shown a few options of fish, and I chose the salt-grilled ayu. It reminded me of the excitement of eating ayu during summer vacation as a child. The simmered dish was tuna collar simmered in soy sauce. The flavor was rich and wonderful. For the finale, the chef, who originally trained as a sushi chef, served us his hand-pressed sushi. Each piece was already seasoned, eliminating the need for soy sauce or other condiments. The last piece was a modestly pressed sea urchin sushi. It was a real sea urchin without any artificial smell. Thank you for the wonderful meal. This restaurant feels like a hidden gem, and I look forward to becoming a regular. Chatting with the chef across the counter is truly one of the joys of Japanese cuisine.

I suddenly felt like eating sushi, so I searched for a nearby sushi restaurant and visited. The restaurant had about 10 seats at the counter and one table. The atmosphere was nice. I ordered the chef's choice to start. First, we were served with white fish and shellfish. Then came a sashimi platter, a soup, grilled fish, and sushi. There wasn't anything exceptionally delicious, but overall it was tasty. The sushi rice was made quite small, almost like a finishing touch. If you want to enjoy the sushi more, you can order a second serving for 2,000 yen. You can also order grilled fish separately, which is great for those with small appetites. I would like to go back next time to enjoy the sushi more. Thank you for the meal.

Actually, I had a direct acquaintance with an Italian chef through mutual friends, but it was quite difficult to secure a seat with a same-day reservation at their small restaurant run by a couple. So, make sure to book in advance! It was a long-awaited visit. They served me various appetizers for drinking, starting with clams and seaweed. The sashimi platter, grilled edamame, and grilled baby corn were delicious. Correction: it was baby barracuda, not baby corn. The following dishes were also Japanese-style, perfect for drinking. Recently, I heard a similar opinion from a friend who compared this place to another Japanese restaurant with sushi. The feedback was a bit critical. Sorry about that. I had a rice-less seaweed roll with sea bream, followed by a few pieces of sushi. The closing time was early for Azabu-Juban, and I wish I had more time to judge the sushi I ate. I didn't know the total bill as it was treated by the host, but it seems it was 19,500 yen for 3 people, which is around 6,500 yen per person. I would like to visit again and spend more time there.

The reservation was surprisingly easy to make over the phone the day before. The restaurant is small but simple and clean. The proximity of the counter to the kitchen gives it a homely atmosphere. Since there was no sake listed on the menu, the chef recommended one when I asked. I tried the sparkling sake. I opted for a la carte dishes that day. The first course was marinated sea bream with olive oil, which was quite delicious. The sashimi platter was excellent, especially the flounder. The fatty tuna and ark shell were also very fresh. The sake lees cheese I ordered was rich and creamy, with a nice dashi flavor. The smoked salmon belly was my favorite, with a savory, sausage-like taste and a crispy skin. The grilled silver cod in Kyoto miso was firm yet tender. The smoked salmon belly was my favorite, with a savory, sausage-like taste and a crispy skin. The nigiri sushi, made with seasonal fish, was small but delicious, especially the sardine. I also tried sea urchin at the end. The sake selection included Niigata's Midori and Fukui's Hayaseura, as well as various plum wines. If you visit mainly for the sake, the size of the nigiri sushi is just right. Although the variety of dishes and fish is not extensive, the quality of the food is top-notch. I look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited this small restaurant with a friend the other day. It has about 8 seats at the counter and 1 table, so it's quite cozy. We decided to leave the food selection to the chef, mentioning any dietary restrictions beforehand. The meal started with a small appetizer, followed by several types of sashimi. The dishes were served on the counter like at a sushi restaurant, which made it a bit difficult to eat, but when I moved them closer to me, they were silently returned to their original place for the next course. It would have been nice if they had mentioned it earlier. The meal also included grilled dishes, soup, simmered dishes, and ended with sushi. The sushi rice was small and easy to eat. The overall meal was delicious and satisfying. The wine selection was mostly by the bottle, and when we asked for sparkling wine, they brought out a Cremant. The bottles were beautifully presented, which added to the dining experience. We also ordered a white wine, and they brought out a few options for us to choose from. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable prices, although the service could have been a bit friendlier. Overall, it's a charming restaurant that I would like to visit again when I crave Japanese cuisine.
