Ginza Onodera serves as a stepping stone for apprentices to become full-fledged sushi chefs, allowing customers to enjoy sushi made by these young apprentices. The dinner omakase course at Ginza Onodera ranges from ¥27,500, making it a high-end sushi restaurant. The same sushi can be enjoyed at about one-third of the price since apprentices are making the sushi for customers to enjoy standing up. With the slogan "From Ginza to the World," Ginza Onodera aims to spread traditional Japanese cuisine such as sushi and tempura to the world. The brand has expanded to 12 stores in five regions worldwide, with three of them earning Michelin stars, receiving high praise. Onodera Sushi is a popular standing sushi restaurant. They open at 4 pm, and I went there on a weekday just before 5 pm. I was the only one waiting. Unlike high-end sushi restaurants that offer set courses, here you can order your favorite sushi pieces through a mobile app. There were also some foreign customers. The herring sushi was particularly impressive, with a nice balance of fat and incredible flavor. I also loved the mackerel and pickled ginger roll, so I ordered more.

I arrived at 17:25 and was the 4th group to be seated. I was told that I didn't have to wait long to be seated, and I entered the restaurant at 17:45. There were two sushi chefs, each handling the right and left halves, which caused some delays in serving and ordering. The spacing between diners was a bit narrow, with some people encroaching into neighboring spaces. Despite these issues, the restaurant had a lively atmosphere and the sushi was delicious.

This is a standing sushi bar where apprentices make the sushi. It seems to be a popular place with a line outside. You order from your phone and I tried a few things that caught my eye. The first piece of lean tuna was a bit too cold and mediocre, but everything else was delicious! Each piece ranged from about 400 to 900 yen, and before we knew it, the two of us had spent 10,000 yen. We've been to a few standing sushi bars, but lately they seem more affordable and high-quality, so we plan to try more in the future.

Last time, I gave up because the waiting time after getting a ticket was too long. This time, I happened to pass by and it seemed like I could get in right away, so I entered the store for the first time. There were two chefs, I think? The waiting time from ordering to serving was long, so I canceled one item and left the store. So far, no plans to revisit. I went to Ginza Onodera, a stepping stone to success! I tried the same sushi as the main store, but made by young chefs, so it was easy to eat! The sushi chef welcomed us warmly and recommended some dishes with great enthusiasm! The sushi was made quickly and was perfect for a quick bite. The rice was not as sour as I expected. The sushi toppings were a bit on the larger side. Thank you for the meal! It was delicious, and I will definitely visit again!

On this day, I visited "Sushi Ginza Onodera Toriryumon" in Higashi-Ginza. It is a standing sushi bar where young chefs from the famous "Onodera" restaurant group prepare sushi. Normally, you need to get a numbered ticket to enter, but luckily there was no wait this day and we were able to get in. As we entered, the chef greeted us warmly. This restaurant operates with a self-order system using QR codes. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a lemon sour. Since we were lucky to get in, we decided to order a variety of sushi toppings. The toppings were all fresh, the Edo-style preparation was excellent, and the vinegar rice was mild and flavorful. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna. The tuna had a strong umami flavor, and the marinated tuna had a rich and sticky texture, making it very tasty. My wife and I enjoyed various sushi toppings and drinks, and the total bill was around 15,000 yen. It's quite reasonable for delicious sushi. I would love to visit again. I finally visited the restaurant I had been curious about for a while. I arrived at around 5:00 PM, but had to wait for about an hour to enter the restaurant due to the ticket system for waiting in line. Although there was no line, I felt like staying longer inside the restaurant because the friendly chef talked to me. The sushi served with care was so delicious that I couldn't help but smile. I definitely want to try the tuna and shrimp again. Thank you for the meal.

I highly recommend going to this place as it has been recommended on TV and there are rumors about long queues. I visited at 5pm, got a ticket at the entrance, and was the 10th in line. I had about an hour to spare, so I decided to pass the time on the rooftop of GINZA6 if the weather was nice. After an hour, I received a notification for entry. The place is run by young sushi chefs, so the appetizer options were limited. They recommended the "Sazae" dish, which was quite good. The atmosphere was lively, with the kitchen staff engaging with customers. We ordered the Sazae dish and a selection of 5 pieces of sushi. The total bill came to 24,000 yen, which was reasonable considering the amount we ate. The experience was similar to Hibiya Manten Sushi, where you can either go for the omakase option or order your favorite items. The young chefs were energetic and it was enjoyable to watch them work.

I visited this restaurant after seeing the pandas at Ueno and stopping for a drink. I had to wait for about 2 hours before being seated. The sushi was delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable. I would love to visit again in the future.

The other day I visited this restaurant. My friend went before opening time and got a ticket for after 5:30pm. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The sushi had thick slices of fish and was delicious. My favorites were clam, herring, tuna, and white shrimp. My child loved sea urchin and negitoro rolls. It took a bit of time for the food to come out, probably because it was crowded, but considering the location and quality, it was understandable. Surprisingly, the drinks were quite cheap.

I was expecting that Tenpura Onodera would meet my expectations with their delicious tempura and attentive service, but there were some major issues. I understand the concept of the restaurant, but the time it took from ordering to receiving the first dish was too long, over 20 minutes. Spending that time with just tea and pickled ginger is not ideal. And to make matters worse, customers who arrived later were served before us. It was just too disrespectful. So, I ended up leaving the restaurant after only 5 pieces of tempura. I feel bad for comparing, but I am much more satisfied with the standing style of dining at Nemuro Hanamaru!

I got a numbered ticket at 3:00 pm, and since it was raining that day, I was able to enter smoothly when they opened at 4:00 pm! It was my first visit to this sushi restaurant that I had been curious about every time I passed by. The vinegar rice sushi was delicious with great toppings. It's a 90-minute time limit, but since it wasn't crowded, I ended up staying for about 2 hours. I thought I would finish with fatty tuna, but ended up ordering more with engawa and tuna. Everything was really delicious. I wish they had chairs, but oh well, can't help it, haha.

Tonight, I went to "Sushi Ginza Onodera Toryumon," operated by the high-end sushi restaurant "Ginza Onodera Main Store" in Ginza. Apprentice chefs provide sushi, using the same ingredients as the main store, making it more affordable. It's a standing sushi bar with a counter service, where you order using a QR code on your smartphone, input a 4-digit counter number, and click on the sushi you want to order. I started with Kinmedai kobujime, Aji, and simmered Anago. Then I ordered Toro Taku Maki, Kasugo, and Hakkaku. I also ordered a series of Maguro including Akami, Akami zuke, Chutoro, and Otoro. Despite being made by apprentice chefs, the quality was high. However, due to serving multiple customers, the wait time can be long and there may be occasional mistakes. Overall, I enjoyed the plump Anago and would like to visit again to show my support. The total bill came to ¥5,760, with Mizutako for ¥330 and Hotaruika for ¥550 as complimentary items.

I suddenly felt like eating sushi at night, so I went out to eat. I love stand-up sushi where you can eat only what you want and it's easy to go alone. It was late at night, so my favorite ark shell was sold out and I was disappointed, but I still enjoyed the meal. The way it was served was a bit sloppy, which was a shame, but oh well.
