I visited the store right when it opened on Saturday and was the first one there! The dish was delicious with hot mentaiko sauce. Please note that they do not accept cash, only card or cashless payment. I ate outside, but if you dine inside, you may need to order a drink. They also have a promotion for upsizing, so definitely check it out!

I had some errands nearby, so I finally went to the Belgian Fries shop I had been wanting to visit. The shop is not very spacious, so it doesn't seem suitable for relaxing. Since the food is easy to eat, I thought it would be best to buy it for takeout and eat it outside, but I had some time to spare so I ate inside. It was very delicious. I ordered a large size and ended up getting a small size as well because there was leftover dip. The taste is so good that you could eat as much as you want. They fry it twice, so it has a nice crispy texture. When you eat it without dipping it, you can enjoy the taste of the potato itself. I don't often have errands around Asakusa, but it was so delicious that I would like to find another opportunity to go back.

Fritz in Belgium is known for their fried potatoes. They have a crispy texture and go perfectly with their selection of around 20 different types of mayonnaise. They also offer a smaller size called PETIT, so you can try a variety of flavors. Eating them freshly fried is definitely worth it.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:15 on Saturday and found a line forming before opening. It seemed like many people were getting takeout, but luckily we managed to squeeze into the first group inside the stand-up area. Takeout customers were given tickets at the storefront, so be careful. We didn't notice the tickets and just lined up. It had been a while since I had freshly fried Belgian fries. They were fluffy and delicious even without sauce. The garlic avocado sauce was also amazing.

11:30 - They are distributing takeout tickets. The store opens at 11:30, but takeout starts at 12:00. It seems that by the evening on weekends, they have usually finished distributing the tickets. The tickets are only for takeout; for dining in, you need to wait in line outside the store. If you arrive around the opening time, you can enter the store without waiting. - Frits (tall) ¥540 Originally, there were 4 sizes, but now there are only 2. The tall size is enough for one person to enjoy without any problems! The frits are thick and you can really taste the flavor of the potatoes. They are delicious even without sauce, thanks to the perfect amount of salt! - Mentaiko mayo sauce ¥50 A classic! If you follow them on Instagram now, you can get it for free!! Only cashless payments are accepted. The store only has counter seats and standing room. During my visit, there were no solo customers. It's cute to order two whether you dine in or take out! Highly recommended for sightseeing in Asakusa. Thank you for the meal! ★

I visited a Belgian Frites specialty shop in Asakusa where they use carefully selected fresh potatoes from all over Japan and double fry them using authentic Belgian methods to make their fries. The menu consists of only fries and drinks, and this time I ordered the "TALL size fries (500 yen)" with a side of "Basil Mayo dip sauce (50 yen)". I also ordered a "Stella Artois beer (745 yen)" to go with the fries. The freshly fried fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they paired perfectly with the basil-flavored mayonnaise. The beer, a pilsner type, had a pleasant aroma and a slight bitterness that complemented the fries well. It was interesting how they served the fries in a cone-shaped cup that fit into a hole on the counter.

Visited Fritz, a recently opened Belgian cuisine restaurant in Asakusa around 2 pm on Saturday. Takeout seemed relatively smooth, but there was a line for dining in. We waited about 20 minutes to get a table, which was lucky considering there were about 10 people waiting when we left. The interior had a counter and standing space, with narrow seating arrangements and the door constantly open, giving an outdoor feel. All staff wore masks. We ordered a Stella Artois Belgian beer and a tall size Fritz with Belgian mayo and truffle mayo dips. The fries took an additional 20 minutes to fry due to double frying. The fries were thick with a slightly crispy texture and a noticeable potato taste. They were delicious. The bill came to around 1,500 yen per person, which seemed standard for Asakusa. Later, we learned that Fritz is also a popular spot on Instagram. While the fries were tasty, the wait was a bit too long. It's more of an event than a quick snack. The reasons for the long wait seemed to be due to limited frying capacity and understaffing. With only two staff members handling various tasks, including frying, serving, and cleaning, it felt overwhelming. It's a shame because the food was good. It might be better to opt for takeout to avoid the wait.

I searched for a shop online, and it seems to be a trendy place among Instagrammers. "Fritz" is a Belgian-style potato fry, which seems to serve a cafe-like role in Belgium. The shop was quite popular, so there was a line. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that there were separate lines for dining in and takeout, so be careful. The shop only has 6 seats, and the Fritz takes quite a long time to prepare because it is double-fried on purpose. The interior of the shop had a foreign-like design and was stylish, with the door open style allowing a nice breeze. I chose the "Black Truffle Sauce (+150 yen)" for my Fritz, and got a free sauce by registering on Instagram, so I chose the "Belgian Sauce". The Fritz was crispy and delicious, similar to hash browns! There were many types of beer available, so if it's not too crowded, it would be nice to drop by for a casual lunch.

"Frites Bruges" (Asakusa) ※Tokyo✔Enjoy delicious fries that are inspired by the authentic taste of Belgium※Frites, which are... fried potatoes that are said to originate from Belgium! The familiar fried potatoes actually originated from Belgium!・Carefully selected fresh potatoes sourced directly from farmers, cut with the skin on at the store, and fried twice to achieve a crispy texture! No breading is used, only 100% potatoes are used as their selling point^^*※Twice frying... a technique of frying at low temperature first, then at high temperature! In Belgium, the rule is to have a thickness of 10mm-13mm!・They changed the potato variety from Dejima from Nagasaki to Nishiutaka from Tokunoshima, Kagoshima starting from 3/2! Characteristics) It has a sticky and creamy texture, rich in minerals from soaking up the sun in the tropical climate!・They offer a variety of seasonings, such as mustard mayonnaise, mentaiko mayo, authentic Belgian mayo, truffle, etc., for you to enjoy!・They also have a selection of authentic Belgian beers, appealing to beer fans too!・Opened in Asakusa in May 2021--・As a recommended item, the melty raclette cheese, popular among women, seems to be a hit!Location: Within a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station (Tsukuba EX) A3 exit‍♀️Walk along the main street, Kaminarimon Street, and turn left at the first corner on the way to Koen Street, where you will see the sign❣️Atmosphere: The walls are in a chic brown color tone, giving a calm atmosphere that feels historical even though it has just opened! When you enter the store, you will feel like you are in Belgium with the brick-like structure, creating an exotic atmosphere(*´︶`*)❤︎There are 5 counter seats and 2 standing seats, totaling 7 seats in a small space, which gives it a stylish bar-like vibe despite the low turnover rate. If you only order fries, you can also enjoy them as takeout outside✌️‍♀️┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈Ordered: "Frites Size: PETIT DIP: Honey Mustard Mayo" (490 yen)※DIP fee is +50 yen for normal size (included in the above price) for only one item┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈Impression: The large case contained fries with a generous amount of honey mustard, giving off a visibly junky vibe❣️The depth of the case is greater than the price, offering a substantial volume that is definitely worth it(*≧▽≦)‼️The overflowing fries with dripping mustard make you feel pleasantly surprised⚠️Beware of unexpected tilting of the dip❣️Each potato is cut thicker than the typical fast food fries, with an exquisite frying level resulting in a beautiful golden color, and they are piping hot(●´꒳ `●)*The fragrant smell of the freshly served fries is irresistible to fried potato lovers, and you can feel the heat even from outside the case.Overall: Even without the dip, the inherent saltiness is sufficient, making it a delight for those who prefer a stronger flavor! (⑉• •⑉)❤︎Despite being fried twice, the natural flavor of the potatoes is locked in, offering a deep and unique taste!((●゚ν゚)The outer crust is crispy and crunchy, giving off a fragrant aroma, while the inside is soft and creamy, making it different from the usual fried potatoes( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈ )❤There is no mushiness, allowing you to keep eating one after another, making it a delightful experience!"

I happened to come across a unique shop in a back alley in Asakusa. I felt a bit regretful that I hadn't noticed this shop before, but I was drawn in and decided to enter. The shop had a small counter and I quickly placed my order. I ordered the potato with truffle mayo sauce. After a short wait, the fragrant and sweet-smelling potatoes arrived. I hurried back home to try them. The potatoes were firm and sweet, providing a satisfying crunch. I then tried them with the truffle mayo sauce, and it was delicious! If you love truffles, I recommend giving it a try. My only complaint is that there was a bit too little sauce. I wish there was more! Overall, it was a tasty dish. Thank you for the meal!

There is good news for those who are upset that there are only potato chips in the world! There is a specialty Belgian potato shop in Asakusa! It's hard to find someone who doesn't like French fries, right? I used to pass by it often, but didn't notice it. You can enjoy the shop's unique dedication and variety. They also have a wide selection of Belgian beers, so you can use it as a beer bar. Their dedication to potatoes is amazing! They source delicious potatoes from all over Japan. On this day, they had a new variety called "Dejima" from Nagasaki prefecture. It was a big portion, but I finished it in no time. It was crispy on the outside with a sweet potato flavor, not just your average French fries. And they have a wide variety of sauces! I want to try them all. You can take out or dine in, so be sure to visit!

In such times when it's difficult to travel abroad, I was excited to find a Belgian fries specialty shop in Japan! However, when I went there, the fries were tasty but mostly consisted of crispy edges rather than being crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Even the few thicker fries they had seemed to have lost their moisture from being fried too much. They were so hard that the wooden fork provided couldn't even pierce them... (I've never had such hard fries in Belgium...) I was hoping for freshly fried, fluffy potatoes like the ones you get in Europe, so I was a bit disappointed. Looking at pictures from other people, it seems like they usually get a lot of clean-cut square potatoes, so maybe I just got unlucky. The additional dips like cheese and mayonnaise were really good and paired well with the fries.

I went to Frites Bruges, a Belgian fries specialty shop in Asakusa, and had a craving for Belgian chocolate drink and fries! I couldn't resist trying the raclette cheese on top with garlic avocado mayo dip. It was absolutely delicious! The Belgian chocolate drink was rich but not too sweet, perfect for sipping. It's a limited-time offer, so I hope to go back soon before it ends. They will also be introducing new dips in the fall, so I can't wait to go back again. The total cost for a tall Belgian chocolate ice drink and fries set was 1,100 yen, with various dip options available for an additional cost. Frites Bruges is located in Asakusa, Tokyo, and is open from 11:00 to 20:00, with shortened hours currently in place. They are closed on Mondays.

I visited a potato specialty shop in Asakusa called Potato Man, which was buzzing on Twitter. You can choose from three sizes: Petit, Tall, and Grande. Once you start eating, the texture becomes addictive, so I recommend at least a Tall size even if you're dining alone. The type of potatoes used changes depending on the season, and they are delivered directly from farmers. The Hokkaido Akari potatoes are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, truly addictive. The sour cream, onion, mayo, beef tendon, and other sauces for dipping the potatoes are delicious and luxurious, perfect as a snack with drinks! The containers have unique features, making it a potential Instagrammable spot. I will definitely visit again.

As someone who loves Belgium and potatoes, I have visited this shop several times since it opened in May. It is a specialty shop where you can enjoy authentic Belgian fries! This time, I went to look for the new variety of potatoes and the summer limited drink. The potatoes seemed to have a crispy texture with the new variety Kitaaakari. The crispy part was especially delicious! Also, the summer limited Honey BBQ Mayo was seriously delicious! It might be the best! The summer limited drink was also irresistible for chocolate lovers, easy to drink but with a refreshing aftertaste that made me want more. I wish they had hot chocolate in winter. I can't wait to toast with Belgian beer, but I resisted and ordered a low-alcohol beer instead. It's conveniently located near the station and Senso-ji Temple, perfect for food hopping. I will definitely visit again to enjoy more delicious food!

Around noon on a regular day. ◆Grande size 640 yen A stylish shop located a short walk from Asakusa Station, slightly off the main street. While there is a counter for takeout orders, there are also about 5 counter seats inside. It's a nice place to take a break when you're tired from walking, and they also offer drinks. The taste of the potatoes is authentic. I love both french fries and potato chips, but I often find that the taste of the oil overpowers the potatoes. I have encountered fried potatoes that are too oily or disguised with excessive saltiness. So, I had been wanting to try this place for a while, and even the Grande size felt like a main dish. The mayonnaise-based toppings are popular here, and I chose the garlic one, which was delicious. I piled it on generously and enjoyed it to the last bite. The potatoes themselves are lightly seasoned with salt. I chose the largest size, Grande, from the three available sizes. They serve it piled high on paper, so when I was eating with toothpicks, I accidentally dropped some toppings along with the top layer of potatoes. Considering the current situation with COVID-19, it was a shame that I couldn't eat the few that fell on the table. It was my own carelessness, but since I was sitting down to eat, it happened this way. If you're walking around and craving potatoes, I would definitely visit this place again.

I came across a specialty store for Belgian fries in the foodie street of Asakusa on Twitter, so I decided to go for a walk. I couldn't decide between eating in or taking out, but since there were empty seats inside, I chose to eat in. It was a hot day, so I wanted a refreshing citrus drink, and I was surprised to see a lineup of lemonade, limeade, and lemon squash! I ordered the lemonade right away. There were various flavors of potatoes available, so I ordered the small-sized sour cream & onion. The potatoes are fried twice right in front of you. The potatoes that day were of a variety called Hokkai Gold. I had previously tried this variety at Lowry's and it was delicious! I had high expectations for the fries that would come out. The delicious fried potatoes paired perfectly with the cold lemonade. When the takeout line cleared, I got another serving of potatoes. This time I chose raclette cheese. They are planning to serve Belgian beer once alcohol restrictions are lifted, which I am really looking forward to. Shortly after, I visited for the second time. The lemonade from the previous visit was delicious, but I really wanted to pair the fries with Belgian beer. So this time, I decided to have a beer. I chose Hoegaarden's fruit beer, which I had never tried before. It had raspberry juice in it, making it refreshing and delicious. The potatoes were even more delicious than the ones I had last time... and it turns out that the day I visited, they were offering a limited edition type of potatoes for three days. Next time I stop by Asakusa, I want to go eat delicious potatoes again.

A fried potato researcher who is buzzing on Twitter opened a Belgian fries shop in May. I ordered a tall size (540 yen) with beef tendon topping (250 yen). The potatoes are sourced locally, cut in-store, and double-fried. The outside is crispy, the inside is fluffy, and the texture is unlike anything I've had before, very delicious. Surprisingly, the beef tendon pairs well with the potatoes, making it a perfect combo with alcohol. I had a chat with the owner, who mentioned that fried potatoes are a Belgian specialty and the authentic way is to double fry them. Regular fries we eat are mass-produced in overseas factories, frozen, and shipped to Japan, so fresh potato fries like these have a completely different flavor. It's rare to be surprised by potatoes, but the outside is crunchy like chips and the inside is creamy. It's exquisite. There are few places in Japan that use fresh potatoes like this, so I could feel the owner's dedication. Takeout is available, but I recommend trying the hot, freshly fried ones in-store first. I definitely want to go back.
