さすらいのうぶちゃん
Yesterday, I went to Futakotamagawa for work. I visited a sushi restaurant that I had been interested in for a while called Kyushu Sushi Sushitora, which had just opened on the 7th floor of the Town Front at Futakotamagawa Rise. I sat by the window and started with a cold beer (Premium Malts) to cheers. The sushi was ordered through a touch panel system, so the sushi and dishes were served fresh and hot, which I really like. There were 3 types of soy sauce available, from sweet to regular. I asked the staff for a recommended soy sauce and chose the Toramurasaki. I also prepared tea at the table, and got ready with pickled ginger on a small plate. Here is what I ordered this time:
- Ice-aged tuna assortment for 970 yen and a special tuna assortment nigiri for 770 yen to compare. The ice-aged tuna was quite impressive, but I actually preferred the regular special tuna assortment, it was really delicious.
- Aged flounder with kelp for 280 yen, the taste was amazing.
- Ice-aged spear squid for 220 yen, rich flavor with a refreshing lemon scent.
- Ice-aged golden eye snapper for 380 yen, with a yuzu accent.
- Ice-aged raw shrimp for 220 yen, a luxurious piece topped with sea urchin. The refined sweetness of the shrimp, sprinkled with salted and broiled shrimp, spreads gently in the mouth.
- Premium sea urchin salted nigiri for 980 yen, a bit expensive but definitely worth it for delicious sea urchin. Very satisfying.
- Aburi oshi trio for 460 yen, salmon, shrimp, and sea bream. I tried this new dish, and it was rich in flavor but finished with a citrusy touch, very easy to eat. It seemed like something foreigners would enjoy.
- Special seafood chawanmushi for 430 yen, a special dish with sea urchin, caviar, scallops, and sea bream. It would have been perfect with ginkgo nuts added. The texture of the bamboo shoots was pleasant.
- Broiled special selection three-piece nigiri for 860 yen, eel, golden eye snapper, and medium fatty tuna. The medium fatty tuna had a strong aroma of wasabi and pickled Nara.
- Aburi Premium for 720 yen, raw shrimp, squid, and snow crab. This would also be a taste that foreigners who have never eaten sushi would enjoy.
- Chilled sake Matsuchikubai for 600 yen, I selected the number of small cups. Sake goes well with sushi.
For dessert, I had a strawberry Mont Blanc. It was also delicious. I was impressed by the well-considered quality of the experience, but with such high-quality sushi, I wish they had a more authentic selection of drinks. The drink menu is not much different from a regular conveyor belt sushi restaurant, and it gives off the impression of lacking effort. It would be nice to have a selection of drinks for connoisseurs. Nevertheless, this is a restaurant that I would recommend to both families and gourmet enthusiasts who have eaten their fill of sushi. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back!
