I enjoyed delicious yakitori skewers, got inspired by the nostalgic background music, and ended up singing karaoke for about 2 hours♪( ´θ`)ノ After finishing singing, feeling hungry, we decided to have a final meal before heading home♪( ´艸`) We visited "Kamo Chuka Soba Kaede" located a few minutes' walk from Keio Hachioji Station on a Saturday night in August around 9:00 pm. The restaurant is a second brand of "Ramen Kaede" in Oiwada, Hachioji. The eye-catching exterior features a large round window, giving off a sense of luxury (*´-`). We ordered our dishes from the ticket machine outside and were guided to a table by the attentive staff in the nearly full restaurant. The interior had a spacious feel with 6 bar counter seats and 3 four-seater table seats. The jazz background music and stylish bar-like atmosphere were refreshing and clean, attracting a lot of female customers (*´ω`*)♪ We handed our tickets to the staff and placed our orders! My husband had the Duck Chuka Soba (Soy Sauce) for ¥1,130... The duck broth soup made with a blend of Yunasa soy sauce and Japan's number one soy sauce is delicious on its own, but when you mix in the homemade grape sansho tapenade sauce, you can taste the sansho flavor, making it even more delicious. I had the Duck and Clam Broth Chuka Soba (Salt) for ¥1,180... Starting with the golden-colored soup♪ Wow! (*゚∀゚*) This is amazing! The rich duck and clam broth... It's flavorful, and the umami from the clams is outstanding!! (*´Д`*) It's a soup that makes you want to savor every bite... A blissful soup♡(*´-`) Having it with salt was the right choice♪d(^_^o) The noodles were smooth and thin, cooked to perfection, and made with domestically produced wheat just like the main branch. They are tailored to complement the duck soup, creating a perfect match with the soup. The toppings included duck loin meat, crispy roasted duck thigh meat, menma, green onions and mitsuba, with a clam paste on the side. The premium Kishu duck sent directly from Wakayama, with its pink meat likely cooked at low temperatures, was tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious♪(*´-`) Even those who aren't fans of duck meat would find this tasty, I believe♡(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) I also tried my husband's soy sauce soup, but I definitely prefer the duck and clam broth with salt♡(*´Д`*) Kaede is completely free of chemical seasonings, so it's safe to finish every drop of the soup!d( ̄ ̄)♪(Just my opinion, thoughw) I drank up every last drop, thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and said, "Thank you for the delicious food!"(≧∀≦) As ramen prices exceed 1,000 yen per bowl these days... Trying it out made me understand and be satisfied with this delicate, delicious, and elegant ramen♪( ´▽`) As a shellfish lover, I encountered a ramen that was so delicious it made me ecstatic!!(*´Д`*)... However, here comes the disappointing news.(´-ω-`) The duck and clam broth chuka soba that was sold as a regular menu item will be discontinued after September 10th!!( ̄◇ ̄;)ガーンガーンガーン‼︎ The restaurant wants to focus on their main duck chuka soba and enhance it further. It's a huge shock as this ramen was not just a love at first sight but a love at first taste... (ノД` ) I'm crying. Kaede continues to sell seasonal limited ramen and strives for challenges and evolution... Achieving a high score in just 2 years since opening!((((;゚Д゚))))))) Hachioji is a fierce battleground for ramen, but it seems like Kaede is on track to become a top contender♪d(^_^o) I look forward to their future evolution!( ̄^ ̄)ゞ(If possible, please bring back the duck and clam broth chuka soba!!。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。)
