A group of friends and I decided to go out for drinks, and somehow I ended up being the organizer. When I asked everyone for restaurant preferences, they all listed a place in Shinjuku that was cheap, delicious, served shabu-shabu, had fresh fish, and a wide selection of local sake... It seemed like an impossible request! After searching on Tabelog for about fifteen minutes, I found this restaurant. When we actually visited, it turned out to satisfy all the conditions we were looking for - it was a fantastic place! We ordered the following dishes: - Salmon and avocado Caesar salad - Fried pearl shellfish - Horse sashimi assortment - Kishu shabu-shabu set - Assorted sashimi - Miso soup and grilled rice ball set Every dish was delicious! But one dish that stood out was the Kishu shabu-shabu set. It included pork shabu-shabu with a choice of two types of meat (from 4 options), vegetables, and tofu. The dipping sauce provided was a light broth-like "tsuyu". It seemed a bit thin at first, but when you dipped the meat in it, the flavor was amazing! The meat's umami combined with the broth's umami created a wonderful taste. While all the dishes were tasty, the standout ones were the assorted sashimi and the miso soup we had as a closer. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the miso soup, filled with plenty of vegetables and pork, had a rich miso flavor that was also very delicious. I'm not much of a drinker, but my friends who enjoy alcohol were satisfied with the wide selection of delicious local sake available. And to think, all this food and drinks for about 30,000 yen, or 6,000 yen per person - a great deal for a restaurant located right in the heart of Shinjuku. I would love to visit this place again for another drinking session in Shinjuku. Next time, I definitely want to enjoy the exquisite pork shabu-shabu again.

The menu is extensive with a variety of options, and both sashimi and simmered dishes are delicious at this restaurant. In particular, the beef tendon stew is truly reminiscent of a grandmother's cooking. When I asked the staff, I found out that the sukiyaki course menu comes with all-you-can-drink option, and the dishes are the same regardless of whether you choose one drink or not. I will try making a reservation for the course online next time.

I was suddenly asked by a friend to go out for drinks the day before, so I suggested a place where we could eat sashimi and smoke iQOS at the table, and they made a reservation here. Cheers with a highball! We had the following dishes: - Iwakimizu pork sukiyaki set: Both the pork and the loin were delicious, and the broth was tasty! We also ordered sesame sauce, but I preferred the broth! - Kani miso: A refined dish! - Sashimi platter with octopus, tuna, and amberjack: It had been a while since I had octopus sashimi! I had wanted to eat sashimi, but the sukiyaki was of higher quality, I feel. I want to go back to eat sukiyaki again! Thank you for the meal!

Low ☆☆☆☆☆ Taste ☆☆☆☆ Atmosphere ☆☆ Cost performance ☆☆ Service ☆☆ Access I couldn't find the entrance to the shop and ended up entering from the back door... It was quite noisy, so not suitable for a date. I couldn't hear much of the conversation because both sides and the back were groups.

Visited with a group of 10 people. The 180-minute all-you-can-drink pork shabu-shabu course for 5000 yen was great. This place is located by the Ishikari River and the staff are calm and reassuring. Especially the elderly female staff member was friendly and engaging. Unlike other places, the drinks for the all-you-can-drink option were served promptly, and the shabu-shabu course was very satisfying. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the course meal. Before getting into the taste and atmosphere, the waitress seemed to prioritize the restaurant's needs. For example, when ordering, she mentioned being busy, and she only took drink orders when all glasses were empty. The food was decent, but overall, it wasn't a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy with friends.

The group was a bit large, so we decided to book a private room at this restaurant! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, with table seating near the entrance and traditional sunken kotatsu seating in the back, creating a spacious feel. The service was excellent, with a kind lady taking care of us throughout the meal. Thank you very much! We had the Wagyu beef sukiyaki course from Wakayama, and while the meat was just average, the overall meal was delicious. In general, I think this place is great when you want to use a private room. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

As the name suggests, I went to a restaurant in Wakayama Prefecture with my friends to drink. We started with a toast with bottled beer and enjoyed various Wakayama specialties, starting with a sashimi platter of fresh fish from Wakayama, Wakayama chicken and eggplant kimchi stir-fry, salad, and more. I switched from bottled beer to shochu highball and indulged in quite a bit of drinking and eating. Despite consuming a lot, I managed to spend less than 5,000 yen per person, making it a cost-effective restaurant. The atmosphere was also nice, so I would like to visit again if I have the chance!

Met up with high school classmates in Shinjuku, some of whom I hadn't seen in 45 years. We had some time to spare, so we went to an electronics store in Shinjuku to look for gashapon. We must have looked at hundreds of machines, but couldn't find what we were looking for. Before we knew it, time had passed and we couldn't find our way back to the store from the back entrance. Finally, we made it inside and found a shabu-shabu restaurant. The nostalgia got us talking, we toasted with beer, had some sake, and enjoyed various dishes. We ate heartily, feeling healthy at 60. The shabu-shabu was gone in no time, as was the sake - we had Kikusui, Saku, and Kuroushi. Three hours wasn't enough to catch up properly. It was delicious, but the conversation was more satisfying than the food. The bill came out to 8000 yen per person. The all-you-can-drink course was 5000 yen, but they didn't have the Japanese sake we liked, so we went with individual cups. It was worth it!

I visited "Sakagura Kishuya," located just a short walk from Shinjuku Nishiguchi. I tried the Kishuya original sukiyaki with Iwakiyomizu pork (from Country Farm Nishiura in Minamimuro-gun, Mie Prefecture), and I found the course to be very satisfying in terms of price, quality of meat and vegetables, portion size, and taste. The restaurant also offers a variety of flavors, such as the strong soy sauce-based soup with Suruga Atsuke and Makombu, which can be enjoyed with Kishu Nanko Ume. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively and welcoming, making it a very satisfying dining experience. [Menu] - Iwakiyomizu pork sukiyaki course with 150 minutes all-you-can-drink [Appetizers] Kishu mackerel mirin boshi, seared nori-wrapped dashimaki tamago, homemade mandarin chicken ham, simmered utsubo [Cold Dish] Kishu shirasu Japanese-style salad [Sashimi] Three kinds of sashimi platter - tuna, two types of fresh fish from Wakayama (subject to change depending on weather and availability) [Specialty] Kishu Iwakiyomizu pork sukiyaki - loin, belly [Finishing Dish] Nabe no shime udon [All-you-can-drink Menu] [Beer] Sapporo Black Label (draft) - Cheers with a bottle [Whiskey] Kakuhai Highball [Sour] Lemon sour, mountain grape sour, Calpis sour, shochu highball, Kishu plum sour [Tea-based] Oolong highball, green tea highball [Plum Wine] Kishu black plum wine, Kishu red plum wine [Fruit Wine] Honey apple wine, lychee wine [Cassis] Cassis soda, cassis oolong, cassis orange [Shochu] Warabimugi, karari imo [Sake] Dry sake - no warm sake available [Soft Drinks] Oolong tea, green tea, Calpis, orange juice, carbonated water

The restaurant was the best shabu-shabu place I have ever eaten at! It is only a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit. They have smoking tables and a smoking area. The downside is that you have to ask for drinks, otherwise they won't come. It's a bit pricey (14,000 yen for two people). Overall, I think it's a place to go for a special occasion or business entertainment. When you're short on cash, the set menu might be a good option.

I came to an izakaya that uses ingredients from Wakayama and Mie prefectures tonight to eat shabu-shabu! Located just a short walk from Shinjuku South Exit, this izakaya has a history of over 40 years. The restaurant was almost full even on a weekday night, with a high-class and calm atmosphere. I started with a toast with black sugar plum wine, which was easy to drink with a nice balance of sweetness. The shabu-shabu here is served with noodle soup. I ordered the "A3 Wagyu beef shabu-shabu set for 2,780 yen" and it was delicious! The noodle soup was a rich broth made with bonito and kelp dashi, with soy sauce added. I enjoyed dipping the marbled beef and white leeks in the soup for a refreshing taste. The meat was tender and I could eat as many slices as I wanted with the soup. The flavor of the beef added to the soup, enhancing the already delicious noodle soup. They have a wide variety of highball options, so if you enjoy drinking, I recommend trying them all! The prices are reasonable and it's a convenient izakaya to visit. The sashimi also looked delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I made a reservation for the 150-minute all-you-can-drink course with black-haired wagyu sukiyaki, and visited the restaurant. The sukiyaki was delicious, as well as the appetizers, making the 5,500 yen with all-you-can-drink a great deal. It was a company dinner, so being able to enjoy it in a private room was a nice touch.

I have repeated visits to this restaurant many times. The food is delicious, the variety of drinks is abundant, and I especially love the Kishu plum sour. It is very tasty. This time, I had the sukiyaki course. It was my first time ordering a course, but the black wagyu beef was very tender and delicious. I will definitely go back!

The availability of courses and ordering drinks for all-you-can-drink can be a bit difficult as the staff is not always easy to find. It would be great if they introduced iPads for ordering. The food and drinks for all-you-can-drink were delicious and enjoyable, not too strong.

It was a bit noisy but not so much that you couldn't have a conversation. It's a good izakaya that can accommodate a decent number of people. The food was tasty. However, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about it. It's a safe choice if you're looking for a decent restaurant.
