Visited on a holiday night after 7 PM. Luckily, there were two seats available at the counter and we were able to get in. I had been curious about this place for a while and had tried to visit a few times before, but it was always full. On my fourth attempt, I finally got in. By then, many items were already sold out, including the tsukune, momo, and nankotsu. We ordered three tsukune, momo, nankotsu, ham with shiso leaf wrap, beer, and lemon sour. The ham was recommended to us, and I was curious about what kind of ham it would be. It turned out to be homemade chicken ham. It was well-seasoned and tender, with a nice salty flavor that went well with the drinks. The yakitori, priced around 250 yen per skewer despite the location, had a good portion size and were well-cooked with a slightly strong salt seasoning. They were juicy and delicious. Especially the homemade tsukune with yuzu zest inside was a standout, juicy and flavorful with a refreshing touch. The lemon sour was also refreshing, not too carbonated, not too sweet, and went down easily. I want to try other yakitori items and will definitely be back because of the friendly chef.

On a rainy Friday, I lined up for a bit and got a table around 7:30 pm. Many skewers were already sold out, but the ones left were all carefully grilled and delicious - both the meat and vegetables. They had a variety of bottled beers like Sapporo, Asahi, and Kirin, which was great. The pickles were also well-seasoned and perfect for drinking. I definitely want to go back again.

In the streets of Mark City in Shibuya, there is a shop where there is always a line. You may have seen it once before. This place, Morimoto, is a long-established yakitori restaurant founded in 1948, and it moved to its current location around 1972. Despite being busy, there is a serene atmosphere, and the warmth is lovely at this yakitori restaurant. If you eat here, I highly recommend getting the course at the counter. While sipping on a bottle of beer, watching the father fan the charcoal grill, the dishes come out at a good pace, and each one is served individually, allowing you to savor them. The nostalgic atmosphere of the shop's interior signs makes for a wonderful moment where you can feel the history. Don't give up even if there is a line! The turnover is relatively fast, so I recommend waiting with excitement. Please try visiting this renowned restaurant in Shibuya ☺️♪

The deliciousness of stability. It's great that they open from 4 o'clock. But it gets crowded quickly, so I recommend going early! The yakitori is delicious. They also have sashimi. And Akahoshi is there too. It's the best! ✨

I arrived late and found out that if you arrive late, you can't get in. There were already 7 people waiting in front of the store at 3:30. We were a group of 4 and wanted a table for 4, but we were unsuccessful. We ended up sitting at the counter in a "L" shape. We ordered the course menu. We were served beer first, along with a set of appetizers. The tsukune was served first, which was delicious with a light salt flavor. The rest was a surprise after everyone had tried it. The yakitori was amazing.

I randomly walked in, but it's a pretty delicious yakitori restaurant. When you want to eat delicious yakitori in Shibuya, it's a good choice to consider! It's not a big restaurant, so it's recommended to go with just one or two colleagues. I ordered negima (chicken and leek skewers), tsukune (chicken meatballs), momo (thigh meat), kawa (skin), and tebasaki (chicken wings), and they were all delicious!

There is no better way to gather with friends than with cold beer and freshly grilled chicken skewers. We ordered a variety of skewers including chicken sticks, kidneys, liver, hearts, wings, eel, tails, and chicken skin. It was a fun night.

Shibuya has always been a fierce battleground for yakitori. Especially around Shibuya Mark City, there are dozens of restaurants lined up, making it a globally competitive area. When talking about the history of Shibuya yakitori, one cannot ignore the establishment of "Morimoto" in 1948. They open at 4 pm and do not take reservations, so there is always a long line every day. Today, I was lucky to find a seat around 8 pm and entered the restaurant. Some popular items like grilled liver were already sold out, but I ordered their famous "tsukune" along with "gonbo," "sand liver," "young chicken with green onions," and "liver." Each dish was carefully grilled, overflowing with juicy flavors, truly showing the taste of a renowned restaurant. The prices are reasonable, around 250 yen per skewer, which is a plus. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is peaceful, with rhythmic sounds coming from the grill area, creating a nostalgic Showa-era vibe. Although they offer set menus, they sell out quickly, so I recommend arriving early. Keep in mind that they only accept cash payments.

Visited the old yakitori restaurant around 5:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2023. Was able to get in without waiting. The restaurant was almost full. The staff were busy moving around. I thought about getting a course menu, but decided to order individual items instead. Ordered tsukune, negima, chicken cartilage, chicken heart (up to ¥250), sasami (¥280), and a draft beer (¥750). Started with the sasami. The staff grated wasabi on top. It was lightly seared on the surface. There was myoga in between. Myoga is good in the summer. This was really delicious. Next was the tsukune. Ate it with shichimi spice. Then, the chicken heart, surprisingly small. The negima, both the leek and chicken were large, and the grilling was light. The rich flavor of the meat came through clearly. The chicken cartilage had a good balance of grilling and texture. The grilling close to raw really shows the quality of the meat. You can sense their confidence.

Tsukune, chicken and leek skewers, chicken thigh meat, and duck breast for 1030 yen. Extremely delicious. The tsukune is a recommended menu item with yuzu flavor and juicy meat. The chicken and leek skewers and chicken thigh meat are both tender. The duck breast has a nice chewy texture and is tasty. Overall, the quality is high. The best yakitori I've had. The izakaya has a bright and pleasant atmosphere. Great value for the price. I was able to enter without waiting by going to the restaurant before 6:00 PM on Tuesday. The restaurant was about 80% full. There are counter seats and table seats, with seating for about 20 people. Reservations are not accepted.

I visited a restaurant near Nagatacho Station called Mori Moto Terrace in Kioicho and then took the Hanzomon Line to Shibuya for work. It had been a while since I last visited. Nowadays, there are yakitori restaurants where the average customer spends over 10,000 yen, but at Mori Moto, you can eat and drink for around 6,000 yen per person. The yakitori is delicious, and they also serve tasty pickles, wine-pickled radish, grilled eel, and more. It's hard to get a table after 8 PM, and they often run out of menu items. Next time, I plan to visit around 4 PM when they open.

I wanted to eat yakitori, so I went to Morimoto in Shibuya, just a 3-minute walk from JR Shibuya Station. I arrived at 5:00 pm and the seats were full, but I was able to sit down soon after. Depending on the time, you may have to wait. We ordered the A course, where skewers come one after another for about 200 yen each. Even though I eat a lot, I was very satisfied with the A course, so if you go with a woman, it might be better to order a la carte or the B.C course. This time, we went with two people, had a moderate amount of alcohol, and spent around 5000 to 6000 yen per person. Please give it a try.

On a regular day at "Shibuya Morimoto", a long-established yakitori restaurant founded in 1948. This place is always bustling and I always end up being turned away. But I don't have a strong desire to go to this restaurant, so I just give up halfway. If you endure the wait, you can get in quickly. It's recommended to arrive early because they often sell out by 8:30 pm. The menu has quite reasonable prices. Luckily, I got a seat right in front of the grill. The yakitori portions are generally large and satisfying. I didn't try the liver, but the offal dishes didn't have any strange smells and were surprisingly delicious. As I was eating, customers kept coming in one after another. They would come in and then be told that there were no more skewers available. It seems that I arrived just in time. The location is good, and with just a beer and some food, it didn't cost more than 2000 yen. It's perfect for having a drink. - Kirin beer 700 yen - Shiso roll 280 yen The chicken breast is light and fluffy, and the plum paste spread on it goes well with the alcohol. - Tsukune (chicken meatballs) 250 yen Juicy, strong saltiness, but juicy with a strong chicken flavor. Maybe it has some artificial seasoning. - Heart 250 yen The heart is open but juicy. - Gizzard 250 yen No smell, crispy texture, light and easy to eat. The amount I ate wasn't much, but it felt quite heavy. Maybe it has some artificial seasoning. It's an old-fashioned yakitori restaurant, so it can't be helped. If I feel like eating yakitori in Shibuya again, I might revisit this place. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went to "Morimoto" in Shibuya to eat yakitori! Honestly, I'm not a fan of Shibuya, but for delicious food, I'll go anywhere!! I heard that if you go late, many items are sold out, so I arrived around 5 pm. I managed to get a seat, but an hour later, it was already impossible to get in. I ordered a Sapporo Black Label bottled beer and started with the white liver with ponzu sauce and grated radish. The white liver with ponzu sauce didn't really highlight the goodness of the white liver, and it was similar to making it yourself, so I might skip it next time (lol). I wish the beer was a bit colder! For skewers, I had two shiso-wrapped chicken, one thigh, one tsukune, one liver, one ginkgo nut, one skin, one shiitake mushroom, and one shishito pepper. I think that's what I ate? The first one that came out, the shiso-wrapped chicken (chicken tenderloin), knocked me out! The rareness of it is irresistible! It's so juicy! And the sourness and saltiness of the plum sauce go perfectly with beer (lol). The tsukune has yuzu blended in, and it's also very juicy. And it has a strong umami taste! The bonjiri has a lot of cartilage, and I usually prefer it without, but the unique fat of the bonjiri is amazing! The lemon sour is not too sweet, quite refreshing. A refreshing lemon sour goes well with yakitori! The bill for two of us was in the 7000 yen range! So cheap! After work, drinking bottled beer and nibbling on yakitori is the height of happiness. When it comes to large and delicious yakitori, I think of places like "Jidoriya" in Shinbashi, but Morimoto is definitely cheaper. I'll definitely come here alone in the future. Thank you for the meal!

I was aware of the existence of this restaurant but it was my first visit. I arrived a little after the 16:00 opening time and was worried because it was already almost full. However, since the turnover was quick and I was dining alone, I managed to get a seat. I decided to go with the B course to start off. The tsukune at the beginning captured my heart, and I was completely won over by the juicy heart, duck, and other dishes. The course menu is quite substantial, so once you get used to it, I recommend choosing your own favorites.

Whenever I visit, there is a healthy atmosphere flowing, and I would like to be absorbed if there is a chance. We had the following items (C course 2350 yen): - Oshinko (pickles) - Tsukune (chicken meatballs) - Sunagimo (gizzard) - Hinapi (grilled tofu skin) - Aigamo (duck) - Chikimo (chicken liver) - Sasami (chicken breast) - Quail egg - Shiitake mushroom - Rakkyo wine pickles (400 yen) - Sapporo Black Label beer (700 yen) - Junmai cold sake (850 yen) Compared to a year ago, the course is 150 yen more expensive, and Rakkyo and beer are 50 yen more expensive. Still, I think it is very reasonable. I am very satisfied with the unchanged deliciousness and volume this time as well. I hope it will continue like this.

The restaurant is always full, so I was wondering if I could get a seat today. A foreign tourist who was also looking around smiled and asked, "Is the yakitori good?" Yakitori is indeed one of Japan's representative foods. Today, I had a great time enjoying carefully grilled yakitori and Japanese sake with charcoal and paper fans. I hope they continue to operate for a long time. Thank you for the meal. PS/ I got so caught up in the food that I ended up taking fewer photos of the yakitori.

After finishing up my errands in Shibuya, I visited around 6:30 pm. There was no one waiting outside, but the inside was full so I waited for about 15 minutes. Since tsukune is popular, I ordered tsukune along with sand liver, chicken liver, gombo, heart, thigh, negima, and duck breast. It takes a bit of time for the skewers to be cooked over charcoal. Therefore, I recommend ordering some quick dishes like white liver ponzu. The tsukune was delicious as expected due to its popularity. Personally, I recommend the thigh, heart, and negima! I didn't order eel this time, so I would like to try it next time! Thank you for the meal!

■ Access: 1-minute walk from Keio Inokashira Line, Shibuya Station ■ First visit ■ Purpose: Dinner alone ■ Overview: This yakitori restaurant is located just a short walk from Shibuya Mark City. Since its establishment in 1948, the restaurant has continued to operate without changing its style, and it is always crowded with customers, making it a popular spot. Reservations are not accepted, so it is recommended to visit early on weekdays. ■ Menu: Most skewers are priced in the 200 yen range, and they are known for their large skewer sizes. There are also set menus that include skewers and side dishes, making it easy for beginners to order with confidence. On this day, I had the following dishes a la carte: - Heart - Negima (chicken and leek skewers) - Chicken gizzards - Tsukune (chicken meatballs) - Gombo (chicken tail) - Chicken thigh - Chicken breast - Shiso-wrapped skewers - Sapporo bottled beer ■ Impression: I was intrigued by the cool appearance of the restaurant and its always bustling atmosphere, so I had been keeping an eye on this yakitori restaurant for a while. I happened to have some free time for dinner in the evening, so I decided to visit alone. The interior of the restaurant had a fragrant charcoal smell, and even while waiting for the skewers, my appetite was stimulated, enhancing the enjoyment of the meal. The skewers were served at a good pace, and before I knew it, I was full in no time with this short-term battle style. Among them, the most delicious was the heart skewers. The chewy heart was cooked very juicy, and the umami flavor burst out the moment I bit into it. Compared to other places, the skewers were relatively large, with a strong chewy texture and a satisfying eating experience. Additionally, the rare chicken breast skewers were a must-try. The moist texture, elegant umami flavor, and the fragrance of wasabi enhanced the dish, making it a simple yet remarkable item that showcases the restaurant's skill. The addition of myoga in between also served as a nice accent, adding a lightness that made it seem like you could eat as many skewers as you wanted. There are many other skewers that I am curious about, so I plan to visit again soon. Thank you for the meal. ■ Rating at the time of visit: 3.61

I have been to Mr. Morimoto's restaurant many times. I think it's the best and most cost-effective yakitori restaurant in Shibuya! (If there's a better one, please let me know) I arrived at 16:02, two minutes after opening, and was relieved to get in without waiting. It had been four months since my last visit, and I noticed that the yakitori prices had gone up from 240 yen to 250 yen, and the bottled beer had increased from 680 yen to 700 yen. However, considering the portion size and quality, it's still cheap for this location. Our favorite highball price remained the same (very grateful). I had duck for the first time in a while, and the juicy texture and rich flavor were amazing, especially with the clever addition of bell peppers, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms in between. It was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture.

I finally went to a yakitori restaurant in Shibuya that I've always wanted to visit. When I arrived around 8:30, there were only 2 seats left. The next person who came was turned away because there was no more food available. I was seated and told that they only had shiso-wrapped negima, tebasaki, osinko, shiitake, and nothing else. It's best to go early because they don't take reservations and it's first-come, first-served. The yakitori was around 200 yen per skewer, each one was big and satisfying, juicy and delicious. It truly lived up to its popularity. The drinks were standard and no smoking was allowed.
