I had work in Azabudai on this day, and decided to have lunch at "Maison Landemaine." I arrived at the restaurant around 13:30, and there were about 4-5 people buying bread inside. The terrace seats were about half full. I tried the Croissant aux Amandes and Kugelhopf on this day. The Croissant aux Amandes, which I have been eating at various places since the beginning of this year, was the thinnest I have ever had. When I took a bite, the rich aroma and flavor of butter spread out, followed by the nutty aroma of almonds and the sweetness of Damande. The sweetness was exquisite, not overpowering the other flavors, enhancing them while not being too sweet. The thin edges of the dough were crispy, while the fluffy parts were slightly moist. Surprisingly satisfying for its thinness, and the deliciousness that seeps out as you chew is irresistible. The Kugelhopf is a traditional French pastry. The brioche dough is soft and melts away, giving a sensation of disappearing. The aroma of rum is just right, the raisins are sweet, and the overall taste is on the sweeter side. Perhaps because the dough contains eggs and milk, it had a custard-like sweetness. I didn't buy it that day, but since the Croissant is the signature item, I would like to try it next time. Thank you for the meal.

Croissants are around 300 yen, while canelés are about 270 yen each. They have terrace seating, and the taste of the butter in the croissant is really amazing and delicious. Although it was a bit pricey at around 500 yen, it was worth trying. The pastries are fairly large in size.

Inside the crispy Paris roll with a buttery aroma was a rich caramel sauce. I had been curious about it and finally got to try it, and it was beyond amazing! I definitely want to come back for more. I recommend lightly toasting the croissant in the Balmuda toaster oven available in the store.

The seating area has a nice atmosphere and is spacious, but it faces the road. Surprisingly, there wasn't much noise from the road, and it doesn't seem too far away. It's quite nice. I arrived just after the rain stopped. Since it was a rainy day, most chairs were stacked away. I didn't mind the two remaining tables being a bit damp, but the staff kindly wiped down the chairs and tables. Due to the typhoon, it was the first time they had the place all to themselves, and there were still limited items available. Having tried various bakery sweets recently, everything here is delicious, but nothing stands out as top-tier. The canelés are small and slightly firm. The scones are a bit soft. It's a tasty bakery, but I don't think it's worth the hassle of waiting in line. For takeout or if you want to take a break during a walk, it's highly recommended as a great choice.

It's a weekday afternoon, past 1:00 PM. Only tourists from overseas. Oh? Where am I, some other country? I came here for the croissants. Let's compare the French croissant and the Japanese croissant. Both use fermented butter, but the French one uses high-quality fermented butter guaranteed by the French government. The Japanese one uses international fermented butter. The prices are nearly double. Toast them lightly and compare. The first thing that surprised me was that both were crispy and light! I've had various croissants, but both of these are light! Whether you eat from the edges or the middle, it's crispy. This is delicious! The difference in taste is that the French one has a stronger buttery taste and sweetness. The Japanese one has a buttery aroma, but it's light. Which one do I like... maybe the French one. But both are delicious. These croissants aren't crunchy, they're crispy. I wonder if you can sense it. I had half of each this time, but the deliciousness is such that you could finish a French and Japanese one in one go. Ah, it was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

I don't usually come to Roppongi, but I left home earlier than usual for a morning activity and headed to this restaurant. It's about a 10-minute walk straight from Roppongi Station, crossing the intersection and passing the rice ball shop. The curry bread I was looking for was sold out, so I chose the following items: Croissant Japone for ¥333 (excluding tax). I had bought it at the Akasaka store before, but trying it again after a long time, I thought, "Was it this delicious?" The outside is crispy, the inside is chewy, and the butter is not heavy. If it's this delicious without reheating, warming it up a bit would enhance the flavor even more. Salted kelp for ¥250 (excluding tax). I was intrigued by the salted kelp at a French bakery - it stood out and piqued my curiosity. It looked like black sesame on the rustic dough, is that the salted kelp? The saltiness is not too strong, and where's the kelp? I only spotted a little. It's fine as it is, but maybe it would be better to spread butter for an extra salty kick. Overall, it's not a place for budget options, but with terrace seating and two indoor seats, it feels like an oasis in the city center.

Around 2:00 PM, I stopped by for a break. I ordered a Flan Naturel (509 yen) and a cold brew iced coffee (473 yen). I calculated the total by multiplying the pre-tax prices by 1.1, so it might be slightly different. The interior has two tables for 2 people each, and there are a few tables outside for 2 to 4 people. The coffee is easy to drink with mild bitterness and acidity. The Flan Naturel tastes like pudding with a texture similar to processed cheese. Delicious. Satisfied. I want to try the croissant next time.

I walked from Roppongi! It's located in a relatively convenient place, but I kept missing the timing to go there... The café is also famous, and the croissants are popular! It's a stylish bakery. This time, I bought a baguette called "Tortillon" for ¥280.

Presanne Orange 540 yen, Kugelhof 330 yen, Pan Pistache Abricot 437 yen. Visited casually on a Tuesday at 5:00 PM. They have a variety of traditional French pastries, including common croissants and Danishes. However, for the price, they were just average, not particularly outstanding. Unlikely to revisit.

A bakery located in Minato-ku, Tokyo. The place is Azabudai. It's a short walk from stations like Roppongi-itchome, Roppongi, and Azabu-Juban. It was a weekday afternoon when I visited. I purchased the following items: - Moule (1/4) @650 yen (packaging: plastic bag) - Croissant Francais @546 yen (packaging: paper bag) - Kugelhopf @310 yen (packaging: plastic bag) - Bressanne Apricot @509 yen (packaging: paper bag) - Tarte Poire @600 yen (packaging: box) - Olive Baton @388 yen (packaging: paper bag) - Pain de Tradition (half) @157 yen (packaging: paper bag) I personally liked the slightly sour Moule. The baguette (Pain de Tradition) and Olive Baton had a chewy and delicious texture. There were several types of croissants available, and I chose the Francais on that day. It was large and had a good buttery flavor. Overall, everything was delicious, but the Bressanne Apricot was a bit dry, which was a bit disappointing. It seems they have shops in Shinjuku as well, so I would like to try other bread there if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

My brother bought us some bread 🍞 Croissant layers look amazing (๑ˊ͈ ꇴ ˋ͈) Hard bread gets tastier the more you chew it, and the donuts were delicious too. Always grateful that he brings delicious treats for our family. 🍩🥐✨

I have purchased croissants several times before and visited again after a long time since I was nearby. The cafe and terrace are also available, suitable for various purposes. You can enjoy freshly baked bread made in the store or take it to go. The best item is the croissant, the flavor varies depending on the butter used, and although it's a bit pricey, it's interesting to compare different ones. Even when I brought it as a souvenir, it was well received!

This popular restaurant, Maison Landumene, which has many branches in France, is said to be the home of bread. The name Landumene is the name of the founder, a pastry chef. However, one of the partners who launched this restaurant is a Japanese bread artisan. There is also a terrace seat where you can enjoy a lunch in a cafe-like atmosphere. The space is indeed lovely, but the previous customer's plates were not cleared, making it hard to feel elegant. Instead, it's a bit worrying to see wrapping paper flying around in the wind. Setting aside these details, their specialty is the croissant, a French-origin bread priced at 590 yen. It is known for its generous size and the delicious taste of fermented butter. The cinnamon roll, priced at 410 yen, is also popular. It is made with brioche dough and finished with almond slices. I also tried the Squid Salted Innards Sake Lees Bread for 300 yen, which seemed unique. It offers a unique flavor with the combination of sake lees and squid salted innards. The Lemon Croissant for 430 yen is a croissant filled with sweet and sour Sicilian lemon cream. The tangy flavor is a perfect palate cleanser. Although everything is delicious, I felt that the bread lacked a distinctive character beyond just being tasty. As I left, with the plates still uncleared and paper flying around, I headed back home.

This restaurant in Roppongi... truly a bustling city. It's filled with foreigners (lol). And guess what... their highly recommended croissant is priced at 590 yen!!! Just the price alone makes it seem incredibly delicious (lol). If you buy a few more items, the total amount for bread becomes unbelievable... I remembered what my grandma used to say, "The city is a scary place"... However, aside from the price, the taste was truly remarkable. I savored it. And now, I shall prepare for the afterlife at the Buddhist altar... "Indeed, the city is a scary place," along with the scent of the croissant. Thank you for the meal.

It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Kamiyacho Station, and there is a long-established Italian restaurant called Cantina nearby. I visited around 9 o'clock on a weekday. Freshly baked delicious-looking bread is lined up. I bought a set of croissant, pain au chocolat, melon pan, and canelé from France (1,400 yen). The croissant here is my favorite croissant. The canelé goes perfectly with red wine. It will be very crowded when Azabudai Hills is completed nearby.

Winner of the Best Croissant Award in Paris, this bakery has 16 locations in Paris and 4 in Japan. They offer two types of croissants: the "Croissant Français" made with French butter and the "Croissant Japonais" made with Japanese butter. Both were delicious, but personally, I preferred the Croissant Japonais. I ended up buying three different croissants, including one filled with Sicilian lemon cream called the "Croissant au Citron." They also have a café space, although they are not currently hosting afternoon tea.

A bakery in Roppongi known for its bread. I visited around 11:25 am on a weekday. Of the two seats in the eat-in space, one was occupied. I ordered the following items and enjoyed them in the eat-in space: Provansal Bread [360 yen] and French Croissant [590 yen]. After purchasing, the bread is baked in the oven, which is self-service. The oven requires adding a cup of water to bake, giving it an authentic touch. Each item is set to bake for 2 and a half minutes. I started with the croissant. It had a lovely aroma of French AOC butter. The inside was delightfully soft, with the sweet taste of butter spreading in the mouth. The croissant made with French AOC butter at 590 yen was definitely worth it compared to the Japanese butter one, which was about 200 yen cheaper. Next, I tried the Provansal Bread. It was incredibly delicious, with the flavors of tomato, basil, and black olives filling the mouth. The dough had tomato paste kneaded in, blending well with the salt for a delicious taste. The texture was soft and wonderful. The bread in Azabu was on a different level. Thank you for the meal. Foodie rating at the time of posting: 3.76

It's been a really long time! It's been since I had breakfast here (7 years ago when I checked!)♪ The interior of the restaurant has changed quite a bit! The bread display area seems unchanged, but a significant portion of the interior has become a workshop, with only two table seats remaining! It was a rainy afternoon, so the terrace seats were wet and no customers were using them. There were previous customers at the two tables under the tree shadows♪ When I asked if the terrace seats were available, they said they could use them until the rain returned, so they kindly wiped the chairs and prepared them✨ The staff checked the fridge and offered a rosé sparkling wine in a glass when I inquired about wine, which I happily accepted (550 yen + tax). It takes effort. Since it's self-service, I watched them prepare it, and even though it was a weekday afternoon and the bakery closes early, they opened an unopened bottle for me. I imagined if the manager was there, they might say, "Sorry, we're sold out~." It's much appreciated♪ I ordered a hot tea (300 yen + tax) and for takeaway, I got a Pan Pistache Abricot (330 yen + tax), Croissant Japonais (333 yen + tax), and Dôme Tradition (157 yen + tax). The paper bag cost 25 yen♪ While I was there, I spotted a Balmuda toaster next to the register✨ This is great♪ The croissant definitely needed to be reheated! It was my first Balmuda experience, and there were instructions too♪ I filled a small mug with water and waited for 2 minutes♪ But since I often burn croissants at home, I anxiously stood by the toaster without returning to my seat. The croissant that came out was soft and almost freshly baked✨ It was wonderful~! My first Balmuda toaster experience was amazing✨! I should have bought a Croissant Français as well and compared them after reheating both! But the Pan Pistache Abricot was also delicious with its fruity acidity, so I'm satisfied♪ Thanks to the toaster, my satisfaction level increased from the last visit! The service was also excellent♪ Not just with me and my companions, but the way they interacted with other customers also gave a sense of ease and sophistication, as Candy rightly pointed out✨ As for Candy, you can probably tell from the previous actions and words, but they were extremely delighted♪ After having sparkling wine following lunch, they slept like a log on the train♪

Saturday at 10:00. There were already 2-3 groups of customers who had been there since 8:00. People who have breakfast here are really classy. - Jampon Fromage: I love this, but it's over 1,000 yen. I thought half portion would be enough, and then I found a half size next to it. Looks like everyone prefers the half size. - BLT: Delicious baguette sandwich with generous bacon. A truly authentic and tasty dish. - Kugelhopf: A traditional French pastry. I can't resist when they say that. Made with brioche dough, subtly mixed with raisins, it's fluffy and sweet due to being soaked in syrup at the bottom. It was already expensive to begin with, and now the price has gone up again. I just want to buy delicious bread without worrying about the price.
