This restaurant is owned by the father who runs the long-established Japanese restaurant "Yamaji" in Higashi-Ginza, so this one is called "Umi-ji". It is pronounced as "Umi-ji" in contrast to "Yamaji". I don't mind enjoying the sake and nigiri that come out without thinking, but I prefer to eat only my favorite toppings and leave after about 20 minutes. I like this place because I can enjoy the latter. On this day, it was lunchtime, so I ordered 4 pieces of sushi and a roll, and tamago with non-alcoholic drinks. I surprisingly feel satisfied with just this when I order my favorite items.

At the long-established sushi restaurant "Ginza Sanji" in Azabu-Juban, you can order your favorite items from individual pieces, making it a highly recommended place for everyone. Here is the menu for dinner in March: - Assorted sashimi: scallop, grilled abalone, red snapper, ark shell, white squid, marinated tuna, Ishigaki shellfish, shrimp, salmon roe, cucumber roll - Soup: conger eel, egg #GinzaSanji #SushiRestaurant #AzabuJubanStation #MinatoCityGourmet #EdoStyleSushi #Sushi #SushiGram #SushiLovers #Foodies #ReservationDifficult #Top100Restaurants #DeliciousSushi #SakePairing

Glass doors allow you to see inside, giving it a trendy casual feel. The bright white wooden counter is eye-catching! The interior design is modern and stylish, with a sense of luxury. Despite the upscale atmosphere, you can order from just one piece using the QR code on the table, making it suitable for enjoying a beer and a few pieces of sushi as well. I opted for the chef's choice at ¥5,800, which included red snapper, squid with sudachi, tuna, medium fatty tuna, gizzard shad, shrimp, salmon roe, eel, tamago, and miso soup. The cold green tea served on hot days was a nice touch, and warm tea was offered at the end. The sushi was made in front of us at a good pace, allowing us to enjoy it quickly and leave. The rice had a gentle vinegar taste that didn't overpower the fish. Despite the seeming good value, the chef's choice of 8 pieces left me a bit unsatisfied, so I ended up adding more pieces, which increased the cost. Overall, it's a good idea for a restaurant where you can drop in without a reservation and enjoy a quick meal until 3 pm. It's convenient for solo diners or when you're short on time. The whole dining experience lasted just 30 minutes. Thank you for the meal.

This restaurant allows you to order sushi from 1 piece using a barcode reading system, similar to what is used in izakaya chains. The experienced sushi chef ensures the quality of the sushi. The menu is limited, so it's not ideal for lingering. You can grab some sushi, have a quick drink, and head home, reminiscent of sushi restaurants in the Edo period. You might be able to walk in without a reservation if you go late.

Located a short walk from Azabujuban Station, this restaurant has a beautifully clean counter seat. We ordered a course, and everything was so delicious that we ended up adding eel and fatty tuna. The eel, in particular, was fluffy and I loved it. The chef was friendly and down-to-earth, which was nice. Everything was really delicious and made us happy. Thank you very much! We had a few drinks and with the additions, it came to about 15,000 yen per person. Payment is accepted in cash or card only.

We visited the restaurant at 6:00 pm and were the only customers besides one other group. We tried the chef's special course, which started with grilled dishes and sashimi, and the sushi came out quite quickly. We were done by 7:00 pm. It was a bit fast, but we enjoyed it!

This sushi restaurant offers great value for money. The sushi is delicious and pairs well with sake. With only a counter seating, it may not be suitable for groups larger than three, but it is perfect for those who enjoy interacting with the chef. If you're looking for a place to enjoy sushi at the counter with good value, this is the place for you.

Actually, I have a history of passing by the front of the restaurant on the day it opened and being turned away because it was fully booked. Since I had a reservation nearby for later in the evening, I decided to make a reservation here as well and visit "Sushi Kairo." This sushi restaurant, opened by the owner of the popular Ginzayamaji Japanese restaurant, is relatively easy to get into. I had already confirmed the location, and I had visited the owner at his other restaurant for sea bream tea rice before. His son lives nearby, so they decided to open this new restaurant here. In addition to set courses, you can also reserve a seat and order a la carte. It is located about 300 meters from Azabu-Juban towards Roppongi on the 1st floor of a building. It has a standing sushi bar feel, similar to Onodera's, and if you order via LINE, you get a 5% discount. I ordered the omakase set for 5800 yen, plus an additional kanpyo roll and sake for 7800 yen. The meal included: red tuna marinated, sabi; flounder, sabi; kohada, acidity; shrimp; squid; salmon roe gunkan; medium fatty tuna; conger eel; and added egg and kanpyo roll with wasabi. Despite the location, the sushi rice had a strong Edo-mae flavor with a strong saltiness and acidity that made my throat dry after eating a lot. The sabi in the first few pieces was also quite strong. Overall, 8 pieces of sushi plus soup for 5800 yen - how do you feel about that?

At MaBu Juhachi, you can enjoy a filling sushi course for less than 10,000 yen with great value for money! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also nice, making me want to come back again. However, it's a bit disappointing that you have to order through a QR code at a sushi restaurant. It seems like they might be cutting costs to keep the prices low, but it's still a great deal overall.

I made a reservation at Sushi Kairo in Azabu-Juban for a sushi lunch. The restaurant opened in December 2022 and is affiliated with the traditional Japanese restaurant, "Ginza Sanji." The restaurant is located near the famous soba restaurant, Soka Horiimoto, where there is always a line of people waiting. The chef for the day was Onuki-san, a veteran with 34 years of experience in the industry, having started training at a sushi restaurant at the age of 15. He had worked longest at Aoyagi-san's restaurant in Shibuya Daimon, which has now closed. I reserved the "Chef's Choice Lunch" for 9,800 yen, which included appetizers, 9 pieces of sushi, and a clam and egg soup. The dishes I enjoyed were: - Appetizers: - Katsuo (Bonito) from Shikoku - Hair Crab from Akkeshi - Ankimo (Monkfish Liver) with Sansho Pepper Soy Sauce - Sushi: - Madai (Sea Bream) from Shikoku - Akaiika (Red Squid) from Kanzushima - Chu-toro (Medium Fatty Tuna) from Ishigaki Island - Akami (Lean Tuna) from Ishigaki Island - Kohada (Gizzard Shad) - Kuruma Ebi (Tiger Prawn) - Uni (Sea Urchin) Gunkan Maki - Ikura (Salmon Roe) Gunkan Maki - Anago (Conger Eel) - Additional: Red Clam from South Korea - Additional: Pickled Akami (Lean Tuna) from Ishigaki Island - Additional: Otoro (Fatty Tuna) from Ishigaki Island - Additional: Kanpyo Maki (Dried Gourd Roll) - Tamago (Egg) - Clam and Egg Soup - Aomori's clam with a glass of draft beer and iced tea (non-alcoholic) - Mimurosugi sake (about half a cup) The total bill came to 15,610 yen. The restaurant has a slightly elevated counter design, originally intended for standing sushi dining but now using chairs due to the COVID-19 situation. The ability to order sushi from a QR code on your smartphone is convenient and the reasonable prices make it a great dining experience. I will definitely visit again as the sushi was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

My wife finished work early, so we decided to have sushi for dinner. We ordered the high-end omakase set. The lineup included: fatty tuna sashimi, fresh oysters in oil, hairy crab, white shrimp, squid, kohada (gizzard shad), tuna akami (red meat), shrimp, salmon roe, sea urchin, anago (sea eel), tamago (sweet omelette), red miso soup, and extra fatty tuna. The quality was excellent, and I was surprised that all of this only cost 9,800 yen at Azabu-Juban. The dashi soy sauce used for the salmon roe was particularly fragrant and appetizing. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Sea routes, it's a hangover meal. It seems that a new sushi restaurant has opened in Azabu-Juban, and it was located in a fairly easy-to-find place, so I made a reservation and went to try it out. Of course, for lunch! The restaurant itself is located in the Azabu-Juban shopping street, so it's relatively easy to find! There are lunch omakase courses for 5800 yen and 9800 yen. Initially, there was only the 5800 yen lunch course, so I called and asked if I could have the evening course for lunch, and they said OK, but it somehow became an official menu item later haha. For the omakase lunch course, it started with ordering drinks through a QR code on your phone. It's quite unusual for a sushi restaurant, right? So, I ordered tea since it was lunch. First up was the appetizer. I wonder if they will bring out something that goes well with alcohol since it's the evening course! Shirako! Everyone loves shirako, right? Next was sashimi. It's rare to have sashimi before sushi at a sushi restaurant! Ankimo. It's definitely a good match for alcohol. The first round of alcohol snacks came out all at once ^^ Next was tuna. It was delicious. Then, sea bream. It's so refreshing. Gizzard shad. Squid! It's chewy. Lean tuna. Simmered shrimp. Sweet and delicious. Salmon roe. The non-soy sauce marinated ones are delicious! Conger eel. Ended with egg like castella and miso soup! Thank you for the meal. Hmm, I see. It's a place that seems to be competing with quite orthodox ingredients. It's quite popular fish, and of course, it's delicious, but I was hoping for something a bit more seasonal! I'm full now, but for a 10000 yen course, it feels a bit expensive. It's like a generally good sushi restaurant.

I decided to go to this casual sushi counter that I had been curious about for a while for a gourmet gathering. I chose the a la carte items and sushi course, and to put it modestly, it was amazing! Please judge for yourself how amazing it was by looking at the photos.

A sushi restaurant called "Kairo Ginza Yamaji San" opened in Azabu-Juban. It has been open for about a month. I was originally thinking of just having ramen alone and maybe skipping dinner altogether, walking in the rain without an umbrella. But when I saw the menu outside, I couldn't help but go in. Despite saying I was going for ramen, I ended up ordering the more expensive omakase set, "Yama" for ¥9800. There was also a seafood omakase set for ¥5800 which seemed to be only nigiri. Ordering was done through a QR code for a 5% discount, but it felt like they were actually taking orders verbally. I was the only customer there, but the staff was very friendly. I had a plum wine soda. I actually wanted to drink alcohol, but due to my plans later, I opted for something close to a soft drink. The appetizers like red sea cucumber, shirako with ponzu, and ankimo with a sweet and spicy seasoning were delicious. The oyster was oil-marinated, not too oily, allowing the flavor of the oyster to shine. I was eager to move on to the nigiri part, so I forgot to take some photos, but the squid with skin, tuna with shrimp, and medium fatty tuna were all delightful. The ikura, uni, and anago were also delicious. The egg was like a dessert, and the miso soup was tasty. The staff was working hard on taking photos for social media, which was nice to see. It's rare to find a place in Azabu-Juban where you can walk in without a reservation and enjoy sushi for around ¥10000. I hope they continue to do well as we need more local sushi places like this.

I'm glad I found a shop that allows ordering through QR codes, which is very Reiwa era-like. The carbonated water was just right with a good amount of bubbles and sweetness that paired well with the sushi. The quality of the tuna in particular was excellent. Both the medium fatty tuna and lean tuna melted in my mouth. The preparation of the shrimp was also well done. They were able to adjust the amount of rice to my liking, whether I wanted less or more. I've been to various sushi restaurants, and the quality at this price point is definitely a bargain. It seems you can easily place additional orders, which is great for adjusting the quantity. While it may not have the fine details of a top-tier sushi restaurant, it offers great value for lunch sushi and I have a feeling it will become a regular lunch spot for me.

I went to Sushi Kairo in Azabujuban for lunch. This new restaurant opened just last month. It is located in the back of the Azabujuban shopping street, near TSUTAYA. The interior is clean with only a counter. We started with a toast with beer. They offer two lunch courses, one for 5800 yen and the other for 9800 yen. We chose the 5800 yen course. I was surprised when they served me a course starting with sea bream. I thought this sushi restaurant was reasonably priced, but all the sushi pieces were delicious. The 8 pieces of sushi served were sea bream, red snapper, kohada, tuna, ark shell, conger eel, and salmon roe. They were all so tasty that I also ordered a toro hand roll and a kanpyo roll. They have a good selection of sake as well. It was delicious, I will definitely visit again.

First time at Azabu-Juban, feeling a bit nervous. Reserved a 9800 yen course. The standard appetizers were all delicious, high quality! After about five appetizers, we had sushi. The variety was amazing and tasty. The conger eel and egg were surprisingly ordinary. We also ordered extra fatty tuna, beef tendon rolls, and sea urchin. For this price in Azabu-Juban, it was fantastic.

The restaurant has only been open for a month so they still seem a bit inexperienced. The dishes are tasty but not quite mind-blowing. The sushi course only includes about 8 pieces so you might want to order some extras to feel full. The sake selection is reasonably priced for Azabu-Juban, and they offer seasonal fresh sake which is satisfying. The atmosphere is relaxed with trendy music playing, making it easy for young people to feel comfortable. It's a good choice for a second stop on a night out.

Thank you for viewing. I visited the sushi restaurant "Sushi Kairo," which opened with great fanfare in December 2022. This is a sister store of "Ginza Yamaji" located in Ginza. The restaurant is on the first floor of "Azabu-Juban Heights," a 3-4 minute walk from Azabu-Juban Station. The service is not as upscale as high-end restaurants, but it is normal considering the price range. I ordered the "Kai Course 5,800 yen," which includes 8 dishes with the egg as the final course, so there are only 7 pieces of sushi. The rice is chewy and of normal size. The temperature of the fish is generally low. Reservations are not required if there are available seats, but it is recommended to call ahead, especially for last-minute visits. Orders can be placed orally or through a QR code on the counter, which gives a 5% discount. It is a modern and interesting setup. It is a different form from conveyor belt sushi and offers reasonably priced authentic sushi, which I believe has its own demand. I would like to visit again if given the opportunity. The items I had on this day are listed below: "Sumiika," "Hirame," "Kohada," "Tuna lean," "Tuna medium fatty," "Shrimp," "Anago," "Tamago," "Soup," "Toro rolled sushi," "Kanpyo rolled sushi."

A new sushi restaurant opened in Asakusa. We made a reservation for two and arrived as the first customers of the day, but we were seated at the counter, including the corner by the entrance. I don't like sitting at the corner of an L-shaped counter at a sushi restaurant. I wonder if they would have changed it if I had said something. The 9800 yen course was completed in about 30 minutes. If there are empty seats, it might be good for a quick and casual meal. Thank you for the meal.
