I walked from Shinjuku to Yasukuni Shrine ⛩ and after visiting, I stopped by this place for souvenirs, "Factory". Factory is a shop that has been selected as one of the top 100 bread shops in 2022, 2020-2017 (*´꒳`*) It's 4 p.m. and there are about 4 people waiting outside. It seems like only 5 groups can shop inside. I was able to enter the shop immediately, but there were hardly any bread left. At the point of entry, the only bread available was "Raisin Shokupan 550 yen" and "Chocolate Bagel." Is it already sold out? (ノД`) A female staff member brought out "freshly baked bread" from the back. Just in time! I ended up buying 1) Caramel Nut Cheddar Cheese Bagel 330 yen (bought 2 since they were freshly baked) 2) Chocolate Bagel 300 yen (black cocoa dough with plenty of chocolate chips) The Caramel Nut Cheddar Cheese Bagel is half-priced and has a crispy cheddar cheese flavor that goes well with the firm and chewy bread. It's surprisingly soft and not the dense texture you'd expect from a bagel. The walnuts add a nice touch when you bite into it. The Chocolate Bagel, warmed up the next day, has a rich dark chocolate aroma. The surface is crispy while the inside is chewy. The chocolate chips melt in a rich and intense flavor. Even though it's a bagel, it still retains some softness. Delicious! I wish the chocolate bagel was also freshly baked. Freshly baked is always the best! Enjoyed the meal.

◼️This famous bakery uses natural yeast and domestic wheat. They supply to hotels and restaurants in Tokyo and also participate in events like "Bread Fest" and "Good Food Market." ◆Salmon & Cream Cheese Red Onion Marmalade Sandwich Cream cheese stands out, but overall it has a balanced and satisfying taste. ◼️The entrance and exit have separate doors for one-way traffic. Credit cards and transportation IC cards are accepted. Managed by Epier Co., Ltd. under the leadership of Seiichiro Matsuura. Established in 2009. Affiliated with "Kojimachi Cafe," "EAT GOOD PLACE," "Manufacture," etc. ◼️◼️There is no longer an eat-in option available.

I purchased blue cheese and honey bread, and pineapple and coconut cake. The price was around ¥600 for both. They were both classic combinations that definitely go well together and delicious ♡ Personally, I loved the perfect hardness of the blue cheese bread and the touch of honey. Surprisingly, the eat-in space was no longer available! I was looking forward to having lunch there, so it was a bit sad. Please be aware! All the bread looked really delicious, so I want to go back regularly to buy from this shop ♡ Thank you for the meal!

I arrived a little after 4 pm, so the selection was limited. I purchased three bagels and dinner rolls for 450 yen. I wanted to sandwich something in between, but even on its own, I wrote with anticipation that it would surely be delicious! The bagel had a firm texture, not exactly chewy, but it was delicious when bitten into. The dinner rolls had a nice aroma, and I would like to come back to buy them again.

After finishing my business in Ichigaya, I came to this bakery, which is one of the top 100 bakeries in Japan. It faces Yasukuni Street, but the exterior is quite inconspicuous, and I almost missed it without realizing it was a shop. On this day, I checked the map on my smartphone and finally found it. The interior has a modern and stylish atmosphere. I browse through the products. There are about 20 types of bread. The prices feel a bit high, but not outrageously expensive. I bought 4 types of bread on a whim. They put them in a paper bag for me. *** Cranberry Cream Sandwich: A light-textured bagel with cranberry cream inside. The bagel is delicious, and the cream is especially good. Green Olive Focaccia: This focaccia is bold. It has olives embedded in it and coated with orange marmalade. The olive flavor is strong, so it may not be suitable for those who don't like olives. French Toast: This is also unique. Coated with cinnamon and filled with raisins, it matches well with the French toast. Blue Cheese Honey: This is my favorite. The saltiness of the blue cheese is just right, and the aroma is perfect. Truly deserving of being one of the top 100 bakeries. It's different from the local bakeries. (September 2023)

The eggplant and tartar sauce hamburger and the salmon hamburger were both incredibly delicious~ Both are so good, so I recommend sharing. The ratatouille was also very tasty. Although you can't eat inside the restaurant, they said it's okay to eat on the bench outside. They don't sell drinks, so I bought one from the vending machine. I also bought the Genovese sauce that was behind the register on my way out. I am satisfied.

⭐️Visited the popular bakery "PanTokyo" on a Saturday in August at noon, as I had been planning to do for a while. Tried the plain bagel for 270 yen, which was soft and not too heavy, with a stretchy texture that set it apart from other bagels I've had. While this site mentioned the chocolate bagel as a favorite, I found the plain one to be a satisfying choice that didn't get boring. The bakery also seemed to offer a variety of other menu items worth trying alongside the plain bagel.

I visited the Factory at Hyakumeiten. It was lunchtime, so customers were coming in one after another. I got a takeout of fresh bagels (soft and fluffy), croque-monsieur, and bacon and sour cream epi. Each of them had a unique and delicious taste. The combination of bacon epi with sour cream showed great sense. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I searched for a bakery nearby and visited this place on a Sunday just after 10 a.m. opening, with 2 customers already inside. After reading various reviews, it seemed like their bagels and hard bread were good. The previous customer bought a large quantity of chocolate bagels. I got a croque monsieur for breakfast, along with a few chocolate bagels and some hard bread. The chocolate bagels were fluffy and delicious, while the croque monsieur was average.

It was a very hot day, but luckily there were chocolate bagels left near the evening. I tried whole wheat bread for the first time and it was incredibly fluffy and delightful. I couldn't help but think about the cafe from before! I will come again.

Visited around noon on a weekday. Didn't have to wait in line. Bought some shokupan and epi bread. Honestly, the shokupan felt like regular bread. It was a bit dry and slightly crumbly. I think it tasted better before the renewal. The epi bread was delicious.

After visiting Yasukuni Shrine, I stopped by this bakery located between Kudanshita and Ichigaya. It was a little past 12:30 on a weekday, and there were no other customers when I entered. The shop is small, but they have a wide variety of bread. I heard their bagels are delicious, so I bought a caramel nut cheese bagel and a chocolate bagel. The bagels lived up to their reputation and were delicious. I particularly liked the caramel nut cheese one. The dough was chewy and tasty, as expected. The subtle sweetness of the caramel and the aroma of the cheese were perfectly balanced. It was a delicious bagel. Thank you for the meal.

Restaurant Name: Factory
Location: Ichigaya, Kudanshita
I took a taxi from the bakery shop Kagurazaka to this restaurant. It seems a bit far to walk from Kudanshita Station. The Factory is located right across from Yasukuni Shrine. The exterior of the shop is stylish with white walls. Inside, there are rows of bread, including many delicious-looking deli breads. I had a hard time deciding which bread to buy. I purchased a Chocolate Bagel for 300 yen, Blue Cheese Honey for 250 yen, Today's Quiche for 500 yen, and Ratatouille for 400 yen. Lately, whenever I see a Chocolate Bagel, I always buy it to compare. The Chocolate Bagel here was delicious too. The Bagel Sandwich looked delicious, so I want to buy it and try it next time I come.

The bagels are delicious!! There was no wait, and we were able to enter smoothly. A place worth stopping by after visiting Yasukuni Shrine. When toasted, they are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The flavor is excellent, and they taste even better when filled. The chocolate-flavored bagel has a strong chocolate taste and is delicious.

On the way back from Yasukuni Shrine, I felt like having some salt-based bread, so I came here. The sandwiches in the refrigerated section were delicious with crunchy vegetables. The bread wasn't too hard, which was good. The quiche had a rich taste in the egg mixture and was very delicious. I'm looking forward to trying the sweet bread next time. Bagels seem to be famous here, so I'll definitely go buy them next time ✨

Popular bakery in front of Yasukuni Shrine seems to have recently been renovated. I have been there a few times and my recommendation is their bagels (both plain and chocolate flavors are delicious). They focus on a smaller variety of items to enhance quality. I've never been disappointed, which is amazing. Today, I went with my usual French toast. There were some menu items I didn't know about, so I also got the Marmalade Focaccia, which was surprisingly sweet and delicious.

Today, I had a home party at my friend's place, and they requested some bread, so we decided to compare the bread from a famous bakery near my workplace. I bought the Factory's bread and the No. 4 bread from Kudan. My friend said they would make bruschetta, so they allowed me to try a piece. The Factory's bread had a stronger wheat flavor and less acidity compared to the No. 4 bread. Both are made with just wheat, salt, and yeast, so the flavors of the ingredients really shine through. The high praise for the Factory's bread is probably due to this aspect. The No. 4 bread is also excellent, but they each have their own unique characteristics. Personally, I prefer the Factory's bread. Bread is truly fascinating.

Visited around 1:30 PM on Sunday. No customers before us, only one customer after us, so we could leisurely choose. The bread displayed in the showcase all looked delicious, making it hard to decide. Sour Cream Bacon - 380 yen - ☆3.3 The dough is like French bread and is hard without reheating. It's filled with plenty of cheese and bacon. Blue Cheese Honey - 250 yen - ☆3.8 Blue cheese and honey are a perfect combination! It's small, so it's gone in no time. Caramel Nut Cheese Bagel - 330 yen - ☆4.0 Soft and chewy even without reheating! The natural sweetness of the dough, caramel, and nuts are perfect. The saltiness of the cheese is an accent, but personally, I think it could do without. Paid with PayPay at the counter.

I visited around 12 p.m. on Saturday. There was only one customer in the store. Both the plain bagel and the olive and marmalade bread were delicious. If this bakery were in my local area, I would definitely go there often. The bagel had a strong bread texture, which I liked as a bread enthusiast. If I have the chance to visit again, I would like to try the sandwich and the chocolate bagel.
