After playing in the sea, we had dinner at "Kurino Koshitsu Seiro" in Shibuya! We started with a bottle of beer to cheers! Beer in this hot weather is the best! We had some appetizers and Hoya (sea pineapple) changja. The Hoya changja was a complete failure. It had a strong smell and taste that I couldn't handle. I tried a salt lemon sour, but it was too weak in flavor. The shiitake mushrooms were excellent and went well with alcohol! We also had spicy hormone and udon-yaki, as well as a sashimi platter! The baked clam gratin and tsukune were delicious too. The gratin was creamy and flavorful with the clams. The tsukune had more volume than expected. Finally, we tried the steamed basket with beef tongue and octopus. The beef tongue steamed basket was incredibly delicious! We all enjoyed it. The octopus steamed basket had a good texture and was perfect with vegetables. Overall, the rice and steamed baskets were delicious, but the drinks were a bit lacking. It would have been better if they had a good selection of whiskies.

This izakaya has delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The grilled freshwater shrimp was fresh and exquisite. I went with friends and the staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. This izakaya has a great atmosphere and is highly recommended.

I went to a Japanese izakaya with a group for a party. The restaurant had many private rooms and a stylish interior. We reserved a 4500 yen course through a different website. We had dishes like fish, sashimi, steamed meat, chawanmushi, salad, udon, and fried eggplant. The quality of the food was really high and the fact that it included all-you-can-drink for 4500 yen was amazing!

We used it for a company gathering! The menu is extensive, the seats are semi-private and partitioned, perfect for drinking parties. The service and speed of service were great. All the dishes were delicious, so I would like to use it again. Especially, I think the eye-catching specialty steamed seiro is fun and enjoyable!

The food was delicious no matter what we ate. The alcohol was served quickly. It would be appreciated if there was a bit more cleanliness in the entrance of the building and the restroom. The steamed meat, both beef and pork, was delicious and I would like to eat it again.

I brought along a foreign acquaintance. The Japanese-style interior of the restaurant was charming. The staff were dressed in traditional Japanese attire. However, the staff were not good. Their voices were too soft and it was hard to understand what they were saying. Especially when it came to explaining how to use the sauce. The steamed dumplings were average. When I ordered sparkling wine, I was told they were out and was recommended to get champagne at a much higher price.

About a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Hachiko, down a building basement off Park Avenue. Met with two friends I hadn't seen in about 3-4 years for a meal. The restaurant seems to specialize in steamed dishes, as the name suggests. We reserved a course with drinks. The appetizer was chawanmushi with a topping of raw seaweed paste. Sashimi included sea bream and squid. The salad had fried burdock chips on top. Grilled amberjack with miso. The main dish was steamed pork on a bed of Chinese cabbage and mizuna, steamed for about 5 minutes. The dipping sauce was seasoned with shottsuru. For the finale, we had steamed udon in a steamer, served with the same dipping sauce. Dessert was apple sherbet. We enjoyed drinks like draft beer, hot sake, sweet potato shochu with hot water, and highballs. We got carried away with the conversation and ended up drinking too much.

I visited this restaurant on a weekday night after a sudden invitation from a friend. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station, making it easily accessible, but the underground location means poor cell phone reception. We ordered the following items: - Appetizer (500 yen) - Steamed domestic pork (880 yen) x2 servings - Uni-topped soft-boiled egg (480 yen) - Large plate of assorted seasonal fish (650 yen) x2 servings - Scallop and squid grilled in shell (780 yen) - Super Dry beer (480 yen) x4 - Lemon sour cocktail (480 yen) x3 The total bill came to 9,768 yen. The steamed domestic pork was delicious, with a stronger dashi flavor than before. The uni-topped soft-boiled egg was also tasty, with a clear taste of uni. The scallop and squid grilled in shell featured large scallops and were a delight to eat. Overall, the food and service have improved since my last visit, and I left satisfied.

My companion is on a diet, so we were looking for a healthy dinner option and made a reservation at a steamed basket restaurant. The restaurant was a bit lively due to the year-end season, but we were seated in a calm sunken kotatsu table. The steamed egg topped with sea urchin was delicious and I finished it quickly. The seafood grilled in broth was also tasty. I forgot to take a picture of the main dish, which was steamed lettuce and pork belly. I was looking for something healthy, so the lean pork loin was a good choice. Pouring the broth over it and the portion size were satisfying. The draft beer was not great, it didn't seem like it was poured carefully. I switched to bottled beer, but it took a long time to arrive. When I asked for it, they quickly brought the bottle and told me to use the same glass for the draft beer, which was disappointing. The seats were spacious and in a quiet moment, the service might be better.

I tried entering the restaurant called Yudachiya Kiyoro because they said you can drink in a relaxed private room♪ I used it when I was drinking in Shibuya. The interior is very elaborate and the atmosphere is great! The private rooms have a relaxed atmosphere like a ryokan. It feels luxurious. The food is neatly arranged in a large steamer with meat and vegetables, and you can steam it at your table so you can enjoy it piping hot. The piping hot delicious food made the alcohol go down smoothly. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I go to Shibuya!

Category: [Tokyo] Donburi ☆ Shibuya Lunch
This place used to be open only at night, but now the door is open, the lights are on, yet there is no sign for the lunch menu. Steamed Restaurant Seiro in Shibuya. Stepping inside, you'll find a small lunch menu in a dimly lit place. However, why don't they promote that they serve lunch more? Once you go in, you'll understand. Uber Eats deliveries keep coming in. It's the trend these days. You can run a business without rushing to serve customers. Seafood Gomoku Wappa Sushi for 858 yen. Can I have a large serving? If you ask, they'll say, "The size of the wappa is fixed, so we can't do a large serving, but we'll try to pack it as much as possible." It's easy to say that they can't do a large serving. This kind of attitude is heartwarming, isn't it? However, humans cannot survive on attitude alone. Even if they say nice things, it's just lip service. You can't fill your stomach with that. Today, the one that will satisfy your stomach is not Hanamaru, Marugame, or Shinshu-ya, but this place. Having a seafood bowl for lunch and finishing with ramen seems like it's going to be a trend in Shibuya.

Two weeks ago, we made a reservation in advance for a mixer starting at 6:00 PM on Saturday! The place has a slightly elaborate interior like a hot spring town (?) with a fun atmosphere! You take off your shoes and have a completely private room!
- Domestic pork steamed in a steamer 1,078 yen/person
- Domestic beef steamed in a steamer 1,408 yen/person
- Sea urchin topped half-boiled egg 528 yen
- Black edamame steamed in a steamer 638 yen
- Homemade shark fin and seasonal vegetable shumai 748 yen
- Fluffy rolled egg with dashi 748 yen, etc...
We ordered a variety of dishes a la carte! Steamed dishes are definitely loved by girls, right? Right? Personally, I was happy that it was steamed because girls love it, right? Anyway, regardless of the quality, I was happy that it was steamed. Simple steamed dishes are the best! (*´꒳`*)
In conclusion, the food is just like any other izakaya, but it has private rooms, the staff comes quickly when called, they also clear the dishes promptly, and the food comes out quickly. It was an average but good izakaya! ♪

Arrived at 18:30 and had to wait for about 10 minutes at the entrance due to being busy. Ordered avocado salad, sashimi platter, minced cutlet, seafood steamed rice bowl, and spicy seafood hot pot at a sunken kotatsu table. The staff informed us that the complimentary dish was the steamed rice bowl, but it would have been better if they had changed it. Eventually, the steamed rice bowl arrived along with a drink, but it was neither warm nor cold. The salad and minced cutlet were average, while the sashimi was good value for money. It took over an hour for the hot pot to arrive, but the taste was good, although quite spicy. The most annoying part was the timer that rang every 20 minutes, which ruined the ambiance created by the exterior, interior, and staff uniforms that showed attention to detail. The staff seemed to have a poor understanding of the menu, as they only knew about half of what was asked. It's a shame because it's a good restaurant.

Visited this restaurant because it was recommended for travelers. Wasn't very hungry, so we ordered:
- Uni-topped simmered egg: The flavor was strong, but the seasoning was lacking.
- Tofu and crispy burdock salad: Pretty average.
- Seafood wappa-meshi: Also pretty average. Seafood was better than supermarket quality.
- The steamed egg custard for the appetizer was delicious!
With the one drink per person policy, the total for two people was around 4300 yen. The cost performance was not the best. The private room was spacious and nice!

I went to a restaurant with a friend for the first time in a while. It is located about a 6.7-minute walk from Shibuya Station A6 exit, just around the corner from Tower Records. The entrance has a Showa era atmosphere, and the interior is classic with semi-private rooms. My friend ordered everything as he had been curious about this place for a while. The steamed dish is their specialty, so we started with that. The waitress suggested ordering something else as it would take a while, so we also ordered a sashimi platter and sea urchin topped soft-boiled egg. The sea urchin dish took about 20 minutes to arrive, and it was not very tasty, with a strange smell and not a good match with the egg. The sashimi platter arrived about 30 minutes later, after about 1 hour of waiting since we entered. It was not as generously portioned as shown in the menu and only had one piece per person. Finally, after about 1 hour and 45 minutes, the steamed dish arrived. By then, I had already had about 4.5 beers. The pork in the steamed dish was indeed delicious, with increased sweetness and umami from steaming. However, waiting over 1 hour and 45 minutes significantly affected the enjoyment of the food. It might have been better for our mental health to opt for a 4000 yen all-you-can-eat and drink option from the start. Even so, if the service was just as slow, I would have been extremely frustrated. It might be better to go with a large group, drink and chat for 3 hours straight until you're all drunk.

The steamed basket restaurant in Tohoku style offers delicious dishes like bakke miso and zunda potato salad. However, despite the good taste, nice presentation, and pleasant atmosphere, I do not recommend this place. I visited on a Tuesday, but the service was incredibly slow. It took over an hour for the steamed basket to arrive, then another hour for the chimaki, and about an hour and a half for the pudding. It felt like they were catching the chicken from scratch. I asked for the steamed pudding to be prepared at our table, but it arrived from the kitchen instead. Even if I corrected it, I'm sure it would take forever for the next one to come out. The sashimi as a reservation bonus was listed as worth 1280 yen but only consisted of 6 thinly sliced pieces. The broth that came with the steamed basket was not even explained when I asked. Despite the restaurant not being full and the staff not seeming rushed, there was no sense of apology. Even if it was just that day, I cannot recommend a restaurant that shows no remorse. The steamed basket was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, but it was a huge disappointment. I won't be going back.

I wanted to eat something delicious and heartwarming, so I made a reservation at this restaurant that serves steamed dishes. The path to the entrance, located halfway underground, had a nice smell of hinoki wood, giving it a hidden gem-like atmosphere similar to the inn in Spirited Away. I was guided to a semi-private sofa seat, which had a very calming atmosphere and was very comfortable! [Ordered Items] Tofu Salad, Beef Tongue Stew, Horse Sashimi Assortment, Steamed Kagoshima Pork (for 2 people), Green Tea, Jasmine Tea. Today's appetizer was chilled tomatoes with ponzu jelly. I always get excited when the appetizer at a restaurant is delicious! The tofu salad was more voluminous than I imagined, and the tofu was creamy and delicious. The beef tongue stew had a light flavor, and the beef tongue was well-cooked and tender, very comforting. I ordered the horse sashimi assortment as it was recommended as a seasonal menu. You can enjoy 5 different cuts. Personally, my favorite was the harami (skirt steak). Finally, the steamed dish. There were many choices, so it was a bit difficult to decide. Since we ordered for 2 people, it was appropriate to choose one type. In the end, we chose pork. The staff steamed it for us at the right timing. The steamed dish, eaten with the broth, was very delicious. It filled both our stomachs and hearts. All the dishes were delicious, and I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant, so I will definitely come back. As the weather gets cooler, I look forward to visiting this restaurant again soon!

I went to a steamed dish specialty restaurant called "Seiro" in Shibuya! The location is a little walk from Shibuya Station, between Tower Records and Parco. Today, I toasted with a non-alcoholic beer! The appetizer was a stylish "chilled tomato jelly". The combination of tomato and myoga was refreshing! Next, I had a sashimi platter with three types of fish. It was delicious! And for the main dish, I chose the "steamed Sendai beef with marbled fat". You steam it yourself at your table with a stove and steamer. The staff adjusts the steaming time for you. When you open the steamer, the perfectly steamed Sendai beef appears! Dip the beef in the sauce and enjoy! Oh, meat makes you so happy. It was very delicious! Steaming removes excess fat, making it light and enjoyable. For snacks, I had Yamagata-style cold tofu and squid meatballs. Making cold tofu with Yamagata-style broth is a fantastic combination! It's definitely delicious haha. Lastly, I had apple sherbet for dessert. It was also refreshing and tasty! It was a great restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meat!

I went to Seiro Mushikirou in Shibuya (^∇^) They serve Miyazaki prefecture wagyu beef from Sendai, and it looked so beautiful! The interior had a nice atmosphere too (^.^) The appetizer was a tomato dashi jelly, refreshing and perfect for summer! We toasted with Ramune because it was hot out \(//∇//)\ We had the beef steamed right there (◠‿◠) We also got sashimi as a reservation bonus, which was delicious (*´-`) While enjoying the sashimi, we waited for the steamed dish to be ready! In the meantime, we had the Yamagata dashi tofu, made with homemade tofu, and it was rich and tasty (*´∇`*) Finally, the steamed dish was ready! It was packed with vegetables and meat, healthy and delicious! The fat was nicely trimmed, making it light and refreshing! It went well with ponzu sauce (((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))♡ We also ordered the rare squid meatballs, which were crispy and delicious (๑・̑◡・̑๑) For dessert, we had green apple sorbet, cool and refreshing ✌︎('ω'✌︎) It's definitely summer (*´ω`*)

This time, I used the cheap course meal. I think the restaurant's specialty is steamed dishes and hot pot, although I didn't try the hot pot. There were about 10 dishes, all of which were delicious. The beef tongue was thick and the ground chicken skewers were tasty. The deep-fried golden eye snapper was also good, especially with the salt seasoning. The rice at the end was topped with salmon roe and salmon. I wonder why they serve rice at the end? Am I the only one who wants rice with the main dish? Next time, I want to try the steamed dishes.
