Visited "ZEN HOUSE" for the first time in a while. This is a repeat visit. It seems I have previously linked to this place in my blog. "ZEN HOUSE" serves modern mountain village cuisine. Lately, the afternoon tea scene in Tokyo has been receiving mixed reviews, but this time I was completely satisfied with the high tea experience. I wasn't a big fan of Ronnefeldt tea before, but this time I tried the "Irish Whiskey Cream" flavor and instantly became a fan. I even bought it online that same evening. It had been a long time since I became a fan of tea after an afternoon tea experience. The champagne was not Moet anymore (I remember it being Moet earlier this year), but it was still delicious. The best part was the excellent service, the relaxed atmosphere, and the elegant setting. Nowadays, it's becoming harder to enjoy Veuve or Moet casually. The highlight was the lack of pressure to leave quickly, unlike other places where I feel rushed. The food was themed around autumn ingredients like sweet potatoes, chestnuts, persimmons, pears, apples, and organic vegetables. The high tea menu was delightful with a variety of dishes including desserts, savory items, and tea options. A highly satisfying experience overall.

It was a girls' lunch outing with the usual three friends. Two of us love drinking, while two others can't handle alcohol, making it a unique gathering. We decided to try something light and healthy for lunch. I suggested a place with cute appetizers that allow us to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes. As a reviewer, I pointed out the benefits of earning points and making smooth reservations online. One of the non-drinkers, who used to be a drinker, ended up making a reservation online without telling us which place it was. The appetizers were beautifully presented and tasted great, allowing us to savor the flavors of each ingredient. The main dishes were also delightful, with a variety of options for everyone. We had a fun time discussing the different ways each of us enjoyed the food. The only downside was finding a spare toilet paper roll left on a kids' chair in the hotel restroom, which sparked a lively conversation among us moms. Overall, it was an enjoyable and interesting dining experience with different perspectives from each of us.

I visited for dinner and chose the high tea course with all-you-can-drink alcohol option. You can choose between champagne or sparkling wine for the drink option, which affects the price. In addition to the three-tiered sweets and savory items, there was another dish with vegetables and grilled fish, making it very filling! There were also many types of tea to enjoy, including a green tea tasting. The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. I would love to visit again.

I enjoyed shaved ice at "ZEN HOUSE," a modern Satoyama cuisine restaurant located in Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo in Ginza. I had a hard time choosing between "peach" and "tea" flavors, but ultimately went with the peach shaved ice called "Momodew." It is produced by the "Shaved Ice Queen" Asako Harada. The shaved ice is topped with one and a half domestic peaches, and the sauce is a blend of peach sauce and vanilla chai from the German traditional tea maker Ronnefeldt, which smells luxurious. Hidden in the ice is a white sesame panna cotta, and the almond slices on the edge of the plate provide a perfect balance. As the ice melts, it turns into a tea-like flavor with the additional sauce. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I was attracted by the lovely exterior of the restaurant and made a reservation. I went with my friends. It's located right near Higashi-Ginza Station. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was excellent. We had the monthly themed lunch. The first dish of vegetables was all elegant and delicious. The eel was also delicious, but I can't comment on whether the onsen egg goes well with it as I can't eat eggs. The main dish of silver cod... the flavor was too bland. Even considering that I prefer strong flavors, it was still too bland. A bland and oily fish is a bit tough to eat. I ended up leaving quite a bit. But, it seems that the bland flavor is intentional. The atmosphere is great, but ultimately, the lack of flavor makes it hard to enjoy the white rice.

There are two types of shaved ice available, and I chose matcha flavor. It comes with a piece of bracken rice cake on top, and it is light and easy to eat despite its large size. The texture is fluffy and melts in your mouth. The syrup is not too sweet, allowing you to fully enjoy the flavor of the ice. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It's a shop that makes you want to come back again. The price is a bit high, but considering the deliciousness and atmosphere, it feels worth the cost.

When I went to the designated place for a business dinner in Ginza, it turned out to be a great place. The atmosphere was nice, and the menu was like a style of afternoon tea, with a three-tiered tray of sweets and savory items like inari sushi and tamagoyaki. There were separate plates of steak and fish as well. The drinks were free-flowing, with a wide selection of teas and also alcohol like champagne and sake available. It was enjoyable to snack on delicious food while drinking, and the overall experience leaned towards having more sweet treats which were tasty.

I visited for lunch. The appetizer consisted of 8 types of vegetables with a gentle seasoning to enjoy the natural flavors of the vegetables. Seasonal side dishes, main course, and dessert were served at good intervals. You can choose from 3 options for the main course and dessert. This time, I chose red snapper and cod for the main course, and fig pound cake for dessert. The fish was large and satisfying, and you can have unlimited rice, minced meat, and miso soup. The 90-minute course with all-you-can-drink option allowed me to have a luxurious and relaxing time. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

On a regular day off, if you don't make a reservation for shaved ice, there won't be any available on the day. I had originally planned to order Ronnefeldt tea, but ended up ordering green tea on a whim. The peach and syrup were delicious, but the ice was just average. The combination with matcha was tasty, especially with the black and red rice ice cream and crispy rice crackers inside. However, the ice was too hard, probably because it was pre-made. The place usually functions as a hotel restaurant, targeting inbound customers. The atmosphere is nice for taking a break, if there are seats available. Next time, I really want to try the Ronnefeldt tea.

The stylish open space, featuring natural materials such as wood and stone in artworks like books, creates a unique Japanese atmosphere. This restaurant in Ginza, set in the Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo, embodies the concept of "mountain village ideology" in Japanese food culture, showcasing it to both domestic and international audiences. We experienced a dinner afternoon tea using seasonal Japanese ingredients, with dishes like grilled silver cod and Hinata chicken. The meal was seasoned minimally to bring out the natural flavors, and we also enjoyed a selection of four Japanese green teas. Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable dining experience.

I visited the "ZEN HOUSE" at the "MILLENNIUM MITSUI GARDEN HOTEL TOKYO" after reading an article about the shaved ice produced by the shaved ice queen, Asako Harada, also known as "Mama Toko". I tried the Peach Shaved Ice for 1,950 yen. Unfortunately, it was very unpleasant, so I left half of it uneaten. The main reason was the large amount of sliced almonds around the shaved ice. I have only had sliced almonds in baked goods or sweets before, so having them in the ice felt strange and unpleasant. The taste of the peach was overshadowed by the sliced almonds, and the homemade peach sauce was outshined by the "Ronnenfeldt" vanilla chai syrup. The blancmange (white sesame paste and ground sesame) inside the ice was too sweet, losing the essence of using one and a half peaches. It may be considered a high-level creation, but I personally dislike when any genre is overdone or overly manipulated, so I have removed "Mama Toko" from my list of shaved ice shops.
The "ZEN HOUSE" is currently offering new shaved ice desserts on weekdays. This summer, they are offering two limited-time shaved ice desserts: "Ryokuin" for 1,800 yen and "Momodew" supervised by Asako Harada, the owner of "Mama Toko," for 1,950 yen. Both are available by reservation only. "Ryokuin" is made with "Tenku no Matcha" from the mountainous region of Shizuoka, inspired by the lush greenery of early summer. It consists of red and black rice ice cream with Hokkaido red bean paste, milk ice cream with a hint of salt, and homemade warabi mochi on top of ice. Toppings of brown rice are provided separately for a variety of flavors and textures. "Momodew" uses one and a half domestic peaches. It includes white sesame paste, ground sesame, and blancmange inside the ice, with homemade peach sauce and Ronnenfeldt's vanilla chai syrup from Germany on top of the ice. The unique pink color of the peach sauce is made by simmering whole peaches with the skin on over low heat. The shaved ice is served with the peach sauce. The shaved ice is available from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm until August 31. Reservations are accepted on the official website. Both desserts are limited in quantity and available by reservation only. Enjoy these exquisite creations.

I visited an afternoon tea during my favorite peach season. The menu had a refined mix of Japanese and Western flavors. The drinks were all-you-can-drink except for alcohol. I had Darjeeling Summer Gold, Irish Whiskey Cream, and Vanilla Chai as iced drinks. The tea was probably Ronnefeldt, with a very nice aroma. It was great that you could choose between hot and iced drinks. The food was light and just right in terms of flavor, with items like Inari sushi, rolled omelette, and pickles on the third tier of the tea stand. The pickled nagaimo (Chinese yam) was particularly delicious to me! The second tier mainly featured Japanese-style items, with the standout being the Peach Tea Warabi Mochi served in a black dish. It was topped with peach tea powder and had a wonderful aroma. The warabi mochi was slightly warm, with a gentle sweetness that was exceptional. The other items like yokan and daifuku had a nice fruity aroma and were not too sweet. The first tier had Western-style items like cookies and pound cake, which were moist and to my liking. The only downside was that the peach mousse (flower-shaped dome) was difficult to pick up from the plate, so some improvement in that aspect would be appreciated. The atmosphere at the table was spacious and relaxing. The staff were friendly and answered my questions about the food and drinks politely. I have also visited for lunch before, and the fish dishes were particularly impressive. The portion sizes were generous and made me wonder if I had eaten the same fish before. The quality and value of the restaurant are excellent, so I definitely want to come back. Currently, they are serving delicious shaved ice from 3:00 to 4:00 pm (although the website says until 4:30 pm, I was told it's until 4:00 pm). It would be great if they could extend the ordering time a bit.

Afternoon tea with free-flow champagne featuring peach and mango is a very good deal. The restaurant serves Japanese cuisine, so the savory dishes have a Japanese touch! It was my first time experiencing this, but it was very fitting and delicious. The Japanese sweets were also tasty, and both the peach and mango were delicious. They even offered me a chaser with black tea, so I tried the iced Earl Grey tea and Yame tea, both of which were delicious. I was very satisfied with the experience. The staff, both the older sister and older brother, were friendly and kind, making me feel comfortable. I would love to come back. The restaurant is very convenient as it is very close to the station!

This is my second visit to this restaurant. I had a great experience last time with the evening afternoon tea that included a meal, and the food and tea were delicious, making me want to come back again. The lineup for June includes my favorite fruits - mango, cherries, and peaches. With its gentle sweetness, this Japanese afternoon tea is less guilt-inducing than buttery and sugary options. I noticed that there is a shaved ice dessert with a whole peach at other tables, so I would like to try that next time. The ambiance, service, and taste make this restaurant a high-value choice. I will definitely visit again.

I visited a special shaved ice shop that is only available on weekdays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm until August 31st. The shop is located in Ginza at ZEN HOUSE, a modern mountain cuisine restaurant in the basement of the Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel. I ordered the "Touro" shaved ice, made with one and a half peaches. This luxurious shaved ice was supervised by the queen of shaved ice, Asako Harada. Before eating, I poured Ronnefeldt tea syrup over it. The gentle sweetness of the syrup was perfect for adults. As I continued eating, I found white sesame blancmange at the bottom of the ice. Normally, you have to eat shaved ice quickly before it melts, but this shaved ice allowed me to enjoy the taste of "tea and peach" even after it melted, making it a delightful experience until the last bite. This hidden gem spot where you can enjoy shaved ice while spending a relaxing time in the hotel is highly recommended. There were also several semi-private rooms available.

Stylish Japanese modern interior. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful. The appetizer platter with 8 items in small bowls looks great but is a bit bland. The main dish of pork is well-seasoned and delicious. I would like to try their Japanese-style afternoon tea next time.

The hotel where I used the high tea had a lovely atmosphere in the basement, and the meal included unlimited sparkling wine. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious! The staff would promptly offer a refill when my glass was empty, and even after last order, they did not rush us and allowed us to enjoy our time. I was surprised by the quality of food and service at this price in Ginza. ✨

The restaurant is spacious, and you don't really notice the conversations of people nearby. I had a basic lunch. The first plate had a variety of ingredients and seemed to be popular with women. The fish I chose for the main dish was very juicy and had a good amount of fat. You can get a refill of rice, but men might find it slightly lacking in quantity. The location is easy to find and convenient to use.

The atmosphere and taste of the restaurant were excellent. I usually avoid afternoon tea because I don't like sweet things, but the treats here were not too sweet and allowed me to enjoy the flavor of tea. The freshly made warabi mochi is highly recommended. The simmered lotus root dish on the bottom tier was also delicious with a flavorful broth. The staff were lovely and attentive, quickly noticing when my tea was running low and offering me another drink. I look forward to going back when they have a different fruit option from the melon they had last time.

I visited the restaurant alone and received polite service, allowing me to enjoy my lunch. The sea bream and minced beef were especially delicious. The vegetables, eggs, and firefly squid all had a gentle and tasty flavor, but I felt that the dishes were slightly too bland.

I visited for a weekend lunch. It was almost full. They serve a course meal with lots of vegetables and a main dish that seems good for your body! All the vegetables were delicious, but the fish was unexpectedly large, firm, and amazing! With this quality, I understand the slightly higher price.

I revisited the restaurant for dinner alone on a regular day. Just like last time, I enjoyed a Champagne free-flow high tea at a spacious table. This month's theme was cherry blossoms, strawberries, and citrus. The high tea stand consisted of three layers, with separate plates served. The first and second layers included Japanese sweets related to the theme. The third layer had rice dishes (such as Kyoto-style silk inari sushi), and the separate plate contained main dishes like flounder and local chicken. Over 20 colorful dishes could be enjoyed with both the eyes and the taste buds. The Champagne, Charles de Cazanove, was served just like last time. It seemed to have a slightly weak fizz, but the refill was smooth, and my glass never went empty. It's delightful to be able to enjoy a Champagne free-flow high tea in Ginza for 8,000 yen including tax.
