The set meal only had this option, with side dishes available. The beef tongue was thickly sliced. The set meal included barley rice, grated yam, oxtail soup, pickles, and was a traditional set meal. The price was 2750 yen including tax. Beef tongue is becoming less affordable these days. It had been a while since I had beef tongue, and I enjoyed it.

While the thickness of beef tongue varies at different shops, here they serve thick cuts with a satisfying texture, which was very delicious. Some reviewers mention that it's expensive, but I think it's worth the price. The taste is just as delicious as in Sendai. Surprisingly, "Gyutan" is a dish that anyone can easily make, and sometimes I buy a whole piece of "Gyutan" at Costco to prepare at home, and it turns out just as delicious as the specialty shops in Sendai. That's my personal experience!
