Taipei Gyoza Keido Zhangji, 1-23-16 Keido, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, 03-5799-4588. Just a 2-minute walk from Keido Station on the Odakyu Line, it's easy to find along Nodai Street with its flashy exterior featuring a bright yellow neon sign. The interior is also vibrant, divided into a green neon zone and a red neon zone, with the green side being more inviting. The owner fell in love with the authentic Taipei Gyoza found in a back alley near Ximending in Taipei and perfected the recipe after training, which can now be enjoyed here. The menu offers a variety of outstanding dishes and the drink selection is top-notch, making it a convenient and enjoyable Chinese tavern. Some of the dishes we tried include Qing Beer, appetizer (ebisen), special quail egg and menma, light Zhang's boiled gyoza, Zhang's pan-fried stick gyoza, Zhangji's overflowing shrimp chili, Ice Lemon Sour, Char Siu Egg, a pitcher of Oolong Highball, and Fried Potato with Taiwanese spices. The gyoza was delicious, especially the boiled gyoza with its hot and smooth skin that made it hard to stop eating. The overflowing shrimp chili was surprisingly impressive with its visual appeal and substantial shrimp and egg content. The drink menu features a playful face-shaped (Zhang?) design that adds to the fun atmosphere of the place. Despite overeating and overdrinking, we left the restaurant extremely satisfied. This unique gem in Keido is definitely worth a visit when in the area.

Located along Nodo Street. Visited on a weekday at 7:00 PM and it was not crowded. Ordered draft beer, stick dumplings, soup dumplings, and half portion of mapo tofu. The mapo tofu with offal was the most delicious. Spent a little over 2000 yen and left satisfied. The staff were also friendly.

The restaurant is divided in half with the kitchen in between, and it's not very spacious. It's just a few minutes walk straight down the shopping street from the station. They were accommodating to children (like adjusting the flavor of the fried chicken or adding extra toppings). The dumplings, soup, and everything else was delicious.

In Tokyo, there is a place called Taiwan Gyoza Choji in Kyodo, where you can experience the atmosphere of a Taiwanese street stall. There are two entrances, with the right side representing a daytime Taiwanese street stall and the left side representing a nighttime one. It's fun to choose the entrance based on your mood for the day. This time, we went to the right side, the daytime Taiwanese street stall. In this post, we will introduce the dessert and drinks we tried.
Dessert & Drink Menu:
- Premium Almond Tofu
- Freshly fried sesame dumplings
- Drink: Fortune Cocktail "Peach Blossom Luck" (Acerola & Jasmine)
- Drink: Fortune Cocktail "Wealth Luck" (Honey Lemon Sour)
- Taiwan Canned Drinks: Apple Cider, Taiwan Cola, Papaya Milk, Mango Milk
All the items were impressive, but the highly recommended one is the Premium Almond Tofu. It has a creamy and smooth texture, and the blend of two types of almonds, filtered three times, gives it a melt-in-your-mouth sensation. What surprised me the most was the almond topping, which added a delicious touch. I didn't know such a wonderful place existed in the neighborhood where I used to live. I will definitely visit again!

Today, I had a dish of "Rou Rou Fan" instead of the holiday lunch! It was delicious with tender pork simmered to perfection, along with shiitake mushrooms, pickled mustard greens, and a boiled egg on top. It was very satisfying to have it as a single dish! Thank you for the meal!

I had a holiday lunch on Sunday! I enjoyed a set of rourou fan and mapo curry, both of which are main dishes that can be paired with rice. The rourou fan had tender meat and a rich flavor, very delicious. The mapo curry was spicy and made me break a sweat in a good way. In the end, I savored both the rourou fan and mapo curry together, and I was completely satisfied! Honestly, I wanted more rice!!

The taste is delicious, service is good, atmosphere is decent, cost performance is average. The signature Taiwanese dumplings have little filling and the skin tastes more like the sauce. The xiaolongbao is comparable to famous restaurants but lacks filling for its price. The service is very friendly and likable. The drooling chicken with black vinegar and sansho pepper is tasty but the portion is small. Overall, the prices are cheap but the amount of filling was disappointing, as expectations were high. PS: Despite being a mobile order, there is no wifi, which was pointed out by a neighboring customer, making sense.

I had the Lu Rou Fan bowl for lunch. Overall, it was quite oily and a bit difficult to finish. Recommended for those looking for a hearty and rich meal. The Lu Rou Fan had a generous amount of fragrant spices (not spicy) and the rice was delicious. It seems like preferences may vary.

I felt like eating dumplings, so I was looking at Tabelog and found an interesting shop. It's in Kyodo, so the express trains on Odakyu don't stop there. Since the express train didn't seem to be coming, I decided to take the local train. It's a 2-3 minute walk from Kyodo station. The shop was cuter than I had expected. There were a lot of girls, mostly college students. As usual, I went in alone as a middle-aged man. When I entered the shop, I noticed that there were a few other solo middle-aged men there. Nice. I was recommended the lunch set, but I ordered stick dumplings, xiaolongbao, and a beer. Stick dumplings have a texture similar to spring rolls. When I ran out of my drink, I added a Radler and cucumber something. Today I remembered that I rarely encounter cold beer in Taipei restaurants. Night markets and convenience store beers are cold, but lesser-known shops tend to serve lukewarm beer. I wonder if Taiwanese people don't like cold beer. This shop in Kyodo served the beer in a frosty mug, and it was delicious.

I found a standout shop while walking along the street in front of Kyodo Station. The shop has an interior design themed after the back alleys of Taiwan, and offers authentic Taiwanese dim sum dishes. The shrimp chili stick, dumplings, xiaolongbao, and Taiwanese fried chicken are all delicious. The dishes are quickly prepared in the open kitchen inside the shop. It seems like they also offer lunch.

It was a regular weekday night, but the restaurant was quite busy! I visited with my partner. I had been curious about this place for a while, and I was looking forward to trying their water dumplings, but it seems like they are not serving them now? They were not on the menu (takeout also had a sold-out sticker on it). We had complimentary soup (you can request it without coriander), drooling chicken, stick dumplings, cheese xiaolongbao, hand-wrapped xiaolongbao, tofu and wood ear mushroom stir-fry, overflowing hormone, mapo tofu, white rice, draft beer, and two mega highballs. The total bill was around 7000 yen. There were other menu items like bolognese and shrimp chili that caught my eye, so I'll have to visit again next time. Thank you for the meal!

This restaurant located along the way from Kyodo Station towards Nodai caught my attention as I pass by on my way to a client. With decent ratings, I decided to visit this place as a second option with my customer. The atmosphere seemed to have a modern Taiwanese vibe. The pricing was average. We ordered the gyoza, and well, it seemed like their specialty. The skin was slightly thick, and the filling was minimal. One bite, and it was just okay. It was simply average, neither impressive nor disappointing. Personally, I would prefer the gyoza from popular chains like Osho, Hidakaya, Ringer Hut, or Tofuya. This gyoza was a far cry from being impressive, just a plain average dish.

I felt like I was traveling to Taiwan with the very stylish atmosphere. I tried xiaolongbao, saliva chicken, and taro pie. The saliva chicken has cilantro in it, so be careful if you don't like it. The taro pie was a bit disappointing as it lacked that unique Asian flavor, but the staff was very friendly.

I have memories of visiting various shops in this place. Recently, there is a place called "Taipei Gyoza Zhang Ji" that seems to be in Taipei. For lunch, there are sets like Lu Rou Fan + Gyoza and Ramen + Oil Splashed Chicken (both for 1,045 yen). I'm interested in the gyoza, but I also feel like having ramen. I tried the "Pork Belly and Fermented Cabbage Soup Sour White Meat Noodles" which has a soup with addictive quality due to the black pepper. It was more delicious towards the end than the initial impression. If it didn't come with the Oil Splashed Chicken, I think it would be a bit unsatisfying, but the chicken provides a perfect assist. Overall, it's not bad, but it may lack impact. Maybe it would be more enjoyable if there were spicy options. I'm curious about the a la carte menu items like "Dan Dan Potato Salad" and "Shrimp Chili." It seems like a fun place to try various dishes at night. So, I'll aim for the side menu items next time.

Atmosphere is great! It really feels like you've taken a trip to Taiwan. The Taiwan Cheese Bolognese was an unusual combination, but it managed to retain the unique flavor of Taiwan while still being delicious. I was impressed. It seems like anyone I recommend it to would be happy. I love it. TABETA- Taiwan Cheese Bolognese ¥980- Hand-wrapped Taiwan Xiao Long Bao (2 pieces) ¥390

I was attracted to the exterior sign of Taipei Gyoza and decided to enter the restaurant. The Taipei Gyoza was easy to eat as it does not contain garlic, and the Xiao Long Bao was incredibly delicious! They offer a variety of drinks such as self-made lemon sour, cocktails, and baijiu. Despite feeling full, I was surprised at how affordable the bill was. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cute like a Taiwanese street stall, and there are two rooms to choose from, which is nice. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area again!

The mixed rice at this restaurant is decent, and the pickles served on the side are very delicious, but the oil is quite heavy. The dumplings are also good, especially when dipped in vinegar. The interior of the restaurant is small, so it can get a bit greasy. The accompanying soup is not very tasty and was too sour.

This is my first visit to this restaurant. The stylish atmosphere inside the restaurant makes you feel as if you are on a trip to Taiwan. There are 4 affiliated stores in Tokyo (Shinjuku, Yurakucho, Kyodo, Koenji). They have a full menu of alcoholic beverages and delicious rice. The xiaolongbao was good, but I personally like the stick dumplings too much. They are crispy, crunchy, and garlic free! I was surprised at how profoundly delicious they are despite that. And most of all, the Taiwanese cheese bolognese that started on 2/6 is just too good!!! Just the right amount of spiciness and lots of cheese! It stretches all over the place! A MUST CHOICE, please! The food is delicious and stylish so I highly recommend it for dates and drinks.

The shop has a Taiwanese street food vibe, and the flavors are very authentic with plenty of spices. The dumplings and soup dumplings were delicious. My 6-year-old loved the fried chicken more than KFC. They provided chili on the side as requested. My 2-year-old enjoyed the minced pork rice and dumplings. The downside was that most of the seats were high chairs, and there were no child seats available. We managed to switch to a sofa seat and make it work. The entrance was too narrow for a stroller. They offer lunch sets even on weekends, which are very satisfying. The staff were friendly, and they provided child-friendly cutlery, making us feel at ease. We ended up ordering more through the smartphone ordering system.

In the evening, I had some time and wanted to have a drink in Kyodo, so I was drawn in by the sign and entered the shop. There was only one other customer since it was still early. Although I have never been to Taiwan, the atmosphere of the place made me feel like I was in a local eatery. I was feeling good. I ordered the stick dumplings that were on the sign. I also ordered a Taiwan beer and a side dish of dried tofu and spicy wood ear mushrooms. A small appetizer came first. It looked like a tiny soup, but it made me feel like I had wasted something. The Taiwan beer was in a 330ml bottle. The stick dumplings were long and thin. It was my first time trying dried tofu, and it had a strange texture. I was planning to enjoy the beer while eating, but everything was so compact that I, being hungry, felt unsatisfied. It's a good place for those who want to enjoy Taiwan in a stylish way. Thank you for the meal.

I tried a Taiwanese restaurant in Kyodo, and instead of ramen, I decided to have the Lu Rou Fan and stick dumplings. The Lu Rou Fan was different than I expected, and the stick dumplings were just average with no standout features. I wished they had more flavor and punch to them.
