On Sunday, May 6, 2018, I visited Marumichi in Gotanda for the first time. I arrived around 5:20 pm. The area around the restaurant is like a nightlife district, with many information booths around. It was quite empty, probably due to it being the end of Golden Week on a Sunday evening. The restaurant had 4 counter seats and about 5 table seats, but the space was a bit tight due to the placement of the fire pot. I ordered the following: - Hormone assorted platter (5 types for 1990 yen) - Yukkejang soup (forgot the price) I also ordered more beer. The hormone platter likely varies in content depending on the day. On this day, the menu included: - Beef upper tongue - Pork hormone - Beef yang - Pork flower pork - Beef shibire The platter included the first 3 types. The plating was beautiful and the freshness was good. The upper tongue was easy to eat with cuts made for convenience, and the hormone was well-prepared and tasty. However, the yang and shibire didn't appeal to my taste. The Yukkejang soup had a good flavor with a decent amount of spice. It included bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, garlic chives, leeks, and meat. It was quite spicy, so it might be too much for those who can't handle spicy food well. Overall, the service was attentive, with staff approaching when looking at the menu and being considerate in various aspects. They provided paper aprons, covered the bag storage basket with a plastic bag, and even had a deodorizing spray available before leaving. Despite the strong ventilation, the restaurant didn't smell too much, and the effort put into deodorizing was appreciated. I would consider revisiting if I'm in the area again. It's a good restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

We walked in as a couple without a reservation and encountered some tender hormone dishes. We savored the meat and washed it down with cold sour drinks... trying to resist the urge to indulge, we enjoyed every bite (so much that we forgot to take photos). A must-visit restaurant in Gotanda. Next time, we will make a reservation.

Gotanda Hormone. It is an all-night yakiniku restaurant that is open until 5 am, representing the nightlife of Gotanda. The meat is fresh and delicious in every cut. They are particular about using charcoal, wanting to provide the meat in the best condition possible. We tried Maruchou, salted tongue, harami, pork cheek, senmai sashimi, Korean seaweed, hoppy black, and rice. We spent 10,000 yen for two people and were completely satisfied. It's not cheap, but the taste is definitely worth it. This restaurant is recommended for those who love white rice because their way of cooking rice is the best. They also have a mega mega rice dish called Manga Mori, so if you're a big eater, give it a try.

Visit after 3 years. Well, to be precise, I tried to enter the shop a few times, but I couldn't without a reservation. This time, I was lucky to be able to enter if there were counter seats! It's a popular place, so I recommend making a reservation. I ordered the usual "Next Generation Harami" and "Super Maruchou", as well as the "Kimchi Assortment". Two glasses of draft beer and two glasses of Chita Highball. It was a fantastic finish~ I will visit again. Thank you for the meal. Visit date: 2023.04.22

I wanted to eat hormone so I came to this shop! The maruchou is super tender and juicy. The oil is sizzling. Amazing! The sauce for the raw beef intestine is also great. I think that was my favorite! Super Maruchou for 1990 yen, tender for 690 yen, top quality red beef for 1290 yen, white raw beef intestine for 690 yen, addictive cucumbers for 430 yen.

I was craving for some hormone (offal) and came across this place. The restaurant was very clean and the seating was spacious, making it comfortable to enjoy the meal. The various types of hormone dishes were delicious and satisfying. It was a simple yet tasty place where the alcohol went down smoothly.

I don't remember ever getting off at Gotanda, so this is my first time. And it's a yakiniku place! There are so many yakiniku and izakaya restaurants here, it's really envy-inducing. The restaurants are clean and the hormone meat is fresh. I didn't eat any red meat like kalbi, just the hormone meat, and I was completely satisfied.

As the end of the year approaches, I visited Gotanda Horumon Marumichi Honten with my boss and junior colleague. Every type of meat was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. In particular, the Super Horumon was grilled by the staff and I was able to eat it at the perfect timing.

The interior of the restaurant had table seats and some counter-style tables. This time, I sat at one of the counter-style tables. The table was quite spacious, but they placed a shichirin (Japanese charcoal grill) on it at the beginning, which made it look like we would be grilling on the table. The hormone (offal) was fresh and chewy, which I loved as someone who enjoys fatty cuts of meat. The alcohol went down smoothly, and although I don't remember much of what else we ate, I have a satisfying memory of the meal. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed, and I heard that you usually need a reservation to get in. I look forward to going back with someone else next time!

This day, even though it was midnight, I wanted to eat yakiniku!! I heard that there was a place near Gotanda that is open until morning, so I arrived around 24:00 for my first visit. There were a few customers inside the restaurant. Since there were two of us, we were seated at the counter. Looking at the menu, the prices were not particularly cheap or expensive. The restaurant is called Horumon Marumichi, so I ordered mainly horumon dishes. They had a variety of horumon cuts which was nice to see. Most of the horumon dishes were priced between 500-1000 yen! Although it's not horumon, the salted tongue was really delicious (^з^)-☆ As expected from a horumon restaurant, the horumon dishes were tasty, but the loin and kalbi were just okay. Overall, I think it's a good restaurant that stays open until morning in Gotanda. The prices are reasonable and you can easily drop by, so if you ever feel like having yakiniku in the late night in Gotanda, be sure to visit this place!

Long time no see yakiniku! Naturally, my excitement levels rise. Maybe it's because of my age, but recently, I don't complain about greasy food. Today, I'm going to devour some meat. First up, two servings of beef tongue, premium kalbi, kimchi, and bean sprout namul, with beer and highballs. The meat after a long time tastes so good. I did my warm-up exercises. The main reason I chose this restaurant this time is the "Super Maruchou." Overwhelming presence even through the smartphone screen. The actual item is truly impressive. Pour the Maruchou from the pot onto the grill all at once. Skillfully cut it into pieces, return it to the pot when it's 70-80% cooked, dip it in the sauce twice, grill it again, and it's done! The rich fat, the punchy sauce, it's ecstatic. Slightly burnt and fragrant is also irresistible! I don't usually eat horumon, but I devoured it this time. I ate it like a drink, and it was gone in no time. For those who are not good with fat, it might be a bit overwhelming, but all the members this time praised it. In the end, we ordered three servings of next-generation harami and shima chou festival. Although there were three of us, the Super Maruchou could have been enough for five people. The shima chou has less fat than the Maruchou, but it's also delicious. But make no mistake, it's not light at all. The harami is meaty and delicious, but if you don't like tough meat, I don't recommend it. If you want to feel wild again, definitely try it. The staff will skillfully grill the large meat for you. The student part-timer who grilled for us this time also joined in our conversation and made it fun. Thank you very much. They even sprayed air freshener for us on the way out, and gave us hand warmers because it was cold. This place seems like it could become addictive.

I visited a yakiniku izakaya in Gotanda for the first time. We made a reservation for 5 people at 8:00 PM, but the seats were full so we had to change it to 10:00 PM. Even at 10:00 PM, the restaurant was surprisingly full of customers. There are course menus with all-you-can-drink options for less than 5000 yen, and we were satisfied with the quality of the wagyu beef. The restaurant is open until 6:00 AM, so it's a great option if you're looking for a late-night spot.

I have been struggling with high uric acid levels for a while now, but today I decided to indulge a little and ordered what I wanted without hesitation. It's true that anything with "jou" in the name is always a safe bet. Overcooking is a no-no. I've personally cut back on alcohol, so I filled up on white rice instead. The hormone dish was incredibly fresh and delicious. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely add this restaurant to my cheat day list.

We used it for the third time for reception. It was empty at night even during the corona crisis, which was helpful. The recommended maruchou was delicious. However, even though we were sitting five people at a four-person table, we were not guided to other empty, larger tables. Maybe the Japanese meaning didn't get through because there were many foreign staff members.

I visited the fresh hormone restaurant "Marumichi", located a 2-3 minute walk from Gotanda Station East Exit, for the first time. I ordered the Black Wagyu beef platter for 5,990 yen, which consisted of cuts like Misuji, Upper Tongue, Upper Kalbi, and Upper Harami. The cuts were thick, large, and very satisfying, with a great texture and delicious flavor. The hormone options included Upper Mino, Maruchou, Gyara Shin, and Shima Chou, all of which were fresh and had a firm, bouncy texture with just the right amount of fat. Another dish I tried was Shibire, which is the chest gland of the cow, but it was also tender and had a sweet, juicy fat that spread in the mouth when chewed. Both the meat and the hormones were delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a good hormone grilling restaurant in Gotanda.

Shinagawa area, just a 3-minute walk from Gotanda Station, a rare find in this season as they are open even after 9 pm. Their specialty is the Super Maruchou and next-generation Harami! The pot-pickled Dokan! and the large size make a big impression. The order this time was a combination of beef tongue, Super Maruchou, next-generation Harami, beef tongue cheese, sundubu, cold noodles, rice, dessert, and about 3 drinks. The total bill was 6,000 yen per person. It's a good place for everyday use. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Horumon Marumichi in Gotanda to eat the 1-piece large intestine. The restaurant was packed with customers. Everyone seems to crave yakiniku after the self-restraint period. I was looking forward to how thick the large intestine would be. Wow, it's thick! Delicious. This size is quite rare. Thank you for the meal.

I sometimes go to Marumichi. This time, I went to about the fourth place on the crawl, so I don't remember much... We had a platter of meat and a platter of namul. Also, we had highballs. There aren't many yakiniku restaurants in Gotanda that are open until morning, so it's always busy on weekends.

When it comes to horumon (offal) in Gotanda, Marumichi is the place to go. I always come back here. A must-try dish here is the shibire (cow udder)! It has an indescribable richness and gooey texture that is just amazing! The chewiness is also perfect! The chanja roll is also a must-try. They are open until late at night, so it's a great place to go when you're craving yakiniku in the middle of the night. There is also Marumichi Hanare nearby. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is my second visit♪ The food was consistently delicious♪ The cheese and beef tendon soup I had at the end was sooooo good! I would love to have it for lunch sometime (*´﹃`*) I didn't know this place is open until morning... If I miss the last train, I'll definitely go there haha
