Opened on August 10th, which happens to be Yakitori Day (lol), I visited the restaurant after reading about it in Tokyo Calendar and Goethe. It is located just a short walk from Meguro Station, down Komazawa Street from Yarigasaki, on the first floor of a retro-looking brick-like building near the AutoBacs. Although it's technically on the second floor since it's above the parking lot. Next to it is "Wakana," a popular spot among industry insiders. When you enter the black door and walk through the black hallway with a black curtain, the interior of the restaurant gives off a high-end sushi restaurant vibe. There is a counter with bonsai trees behind it, adding a touch of sophistication. The course meal costs ¥4,800 and consists of 23 dishes, starting with foie gras croquettes. The variety of dishes, skewers, and flavors were impressive, with each dish being unique and delicious. The portion sizes were just right, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavors without feeling too full. The skewers were followed by a selection of pinchos, including sand liver, seseri, and motsu, which were surprisingly tasty. The highlight of the meal was the carbonara, a unique twist on yakitori that was both flavorful and well-executed. The restaurant's interior was smoke-free, thanks to a special ventilation system under the counter, making it a great spot for a date or casual dining. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and I look forward to visiting again.

Course Menu I visited for the first time this time. There are three stores, and I tried the course menu at Nakameguro Iguchi private room, which I was interested in. I am quite strict when it comes to yakitori, but it was surprisingly delicious in terms of cost performance. The carbonara for the finale was also good.

I arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 pm. They only offered course meals with a wide variety of dishes. Since the portions were small, I didn't feel satisfied throughout the meal, but the additional oyakodon at the end was incredibly delicious. The yakitori and other dishes were tasty, but the restaurant seemed to focus more on ambiance than on exceptional flavors. I was disappointed with the drinks, as the cola I ordered was flat and lacked fizz, making it quite underwhelming. The highlight was adding a bit of sansho pepper to the oyakodon, which made it a real treat. Thank you for the meal.

Iguchi-san had only been to the Azabu-Juban branch before, so this was their first time at the main branch. This restaurant only offers set courses. It goes from appetizers, to small dishes, to skewers, to vegetable skewers, and finally you can add a pasta dish at the end. The Carbonara and Ramen for the pasta dish were both delicious.

I remember this place used to be a yakiniku restaurant. The course menu was reasonably priced and the portions were light. The dishes came out slowly, but it was enough with this kind of content. Apart from the course menu, they also offer carbonara and ramen, which are very popular. They will cook things you don't like separately.

I had a schedule and had to leave in about an hour and a half, so it was really helpful that they served the food accordingly. The taste of the food, the service, and the customers were all very good. I was happy to see my favorite rare cut, "teppou" on the menu.

Although it was said to be on the 1st floor, it was actually on the 2nd floor. I was a little lost. The exterior had a cozy hideaway feel, and just walking in lifted my spirits. I definitely want to come back. However, I found the flavor of the yakitori to be a bit light, and the saltiness wasn't enough with the shichimi, sansho, and black pepper. I ended up adding some soy sauce halfway through. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

Friday at 7 pm. I had dinner at a restaurant where they serve freshly grilled yakitori. It was delicious. And the rice they serve at the end is just amazing. The Catalana dessert was the best. The drinks here are also good. The Dassai lemon sour was delicious. It's a bit pricey, probably more suitable for a date than a business dinner. I want to go back again.

The photos are in the order they appeared in the course. The chicken soup simmered for 8 hours at Toronto Walon seems like it would be super hydrating for both the throat and skin! The corn chawanmushi, unique to summer, was light and refreshing like a drink! The grilled chicken wings were cooked perfectly. But the best was definitely the Dragon Ball! There are not many places that can cook it just right like this! This was perfect! My favorite dish for sure!

As always, there is a sense of stability and always surprises with various flavors that can be enjoyed without getting tired. The atmosphere is great, both customers and staff are top-notch. I have visited other affiliated stores, but the main store has a good vibe. I heard they might be opening a new type of business next time, mixing tempura and clay pot rice? I'm really looking forward to it!

I visited the restaurant for a course meal. The interior is dark and has a cozy, hidden feel. There is a counter and private rooms available, with only male and female pairs at the counter. The way they presented the salt for the mince cutlet was artistic and got me excited. The yakitori was delicious, and I enjoyed the pintxos style where you can try various parts little by little. For the final dish, I wasn't sure why they highly recommended the carbonara, as it turned out to be just an average carbonara (not bad though). The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great!

You can reach Nakameguro Iguchi in about a 3-minute walk from Naka-Meguro station. The entrance is a bit hard to find. The interior of the restaurant is mainly black, and we had a private room for our dining. We opted for the chef's course, which included 5 appetizers, 5 skewers, and 10 pintxos, all in bite-sized portions. For dessert, we had minced meat rice, and we enjoyed beer, highballs, and a bottle of wine, all for 12,000 yen per person. Overall, the atmosphere was elegant and different from the typical hearty vibe of yakitori places, making it a good choice for a business dinner.

On May 1st, I had a busy day of work in Meguro for GW. After work, I decided to go all out and have a good drink, starting at Iguchi Main Store in Naka-Meguro! I chose the course menu for ¥5,480, and I highly recommend finishing with the carbonara. The restaurant is tucked away in a corner of a half mansion, with a great atmosphere. Inside, it's dimly lit with a cozy counter seating for 8. The course menu offers a variety of dishes that make you feel happy with each bite. Starting with mini chicken cutlets, chawanmushi, liver pate, and homemade bread, the luxurious chicken soup that took 8 hours to make was delicious. The course also includes a Japanese salad, Hokkaido Tokachi cheese bake, recommended skewers, and palate-cleansing grated radish. The recommended pinchos and vegetable skewers were also delicious. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. I would love to visit this wonderful restaurant again.

Until that day, I was told that we were going to have yakitori, and my companion had made a reservation at the restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, I was surprised by the modern atmosphere. It didn't feel like a typical yakitori place, so I think it would be great for dates or girls' gatherings. The yakitori portions were on the smaller side, allowing us to try various cuts and enjoy the variety. The head chef and staff were friendly and I thought it was a really nice place. I forgot to take pictures, but I highly recommend adding the delicious Catalana dessert. Thank you for the meal!

The atmosphere is very calming, making it suitable for adult dates as well as for those who want to enjoy yakitori alone. Each skewer is carefully grilled, resulting in tender and juicy chicken! From the appetizers to the croquettes, and all the way to the dessert, everything was delicious! The omakase course was truly satisfying, and it was exciting to see which parts of the chicken we would be served on the day. Also, everyone, the rice dishes and desserts outside of the course were seriously delicious! The best carbonara I've ever had unexpectedly came from a yakitori restaurant. I definitely want to go back again! Thank you for the meal.

Second visit! Last time I sat at the counter, but this time we had a private table. The quality of the skewers and the side dishes were still delicious as before, but I was a bit disappointed that the foie gras croquette I was looking forward to was sold out. They offered a substitute from another menu, but it just couldn't compare to the foie gras. I think the best way to enjoy the skewers is still at the counter, eating them hot and fresh. The chicken tenderloin, tsukune, and chicken wings were absolutely delicious.

Arrived right on time for my 19:30 reservation. There were already 3 groups waiting inside the restaurant. After a while, we were seated at the counter. We originally planned to dine with 3 people, but it turns out that parties of 3 or more are seated in private rooms. The restaurant was fully booked for the day. The counter seats were made of a single wooden table, and we were told not to place anything on top of it. The staff handed us wet towels without saying a word. The staff's voice was quiet and hard to understand, so my friend kept asking me to repeat. The appetizers were served first, followed by the yakitori. [GOOD] - Chicken breast - Chicken meatballs - Chicken neck - Chicken heart - Chicken diaphragm - Carbonara I wasn't a big fan of chicken breast or meatballs, but they were delicious with the perfect texture and seasoning. I prefer mild flavors, so it was just right for me, but a bit more saltiness could be nice. The carbonara was not included in the course. We didn't order it this time, but you can also order desserts separately. The prices were not listed. The seasoning was strong. I shared the carbonara and ramen with my friend, which was a good amount for a female diner. It was a bit lacking for me though. The food was delicious considering the price, but the service left a negative impression. The staff's lack of friendliness, the fact that their noses were sticking out of their masks, and the overall lack of cleanliness bothered me. They pay attention to details like how the food is placed and how the skewers are arranged, and many customers probably want to take pictures. Since they charge a service fee, I expected more attention to these details. The thing that bothered me the most was the serving time. It took about an hour from the appetizers to the start of the yakitori. As someone who eats quickly, I felt that the intervals between dishes were too long. We left the restaurant after 10 pm. We ordered 4 non-alcoholic drinks, added carbonara and ramen, and the total came to ¥17,700. Lastly, my friend's bag, which was left with our outerwear, was forgotten to be returned to us. We chose this place for its affordability and ambiance, but I don't think I'll be returning.

The food is delicious, and the staff are friendly. I tried the chef's choice course, which included a variety of dishes. You can also order noodles, rice dishes, and desserts for an additional charge. I recommend the carbonara and ramen - the carbonara has a rich truffle aroma, and the ramen has a chicken broth that has been simmered for 8 hours. Both are delicious and can be shared between two people. The yakitori itself is juicy and flavorful, with a nice charcoal aroma that goes well with drinks. It's a wonderful restaurant for a date. I will definitely be back.
