Sweets Hyakumeiten TOKYO 28/100 A cute house with a frying pan displayed in the window, not far from Yaho-en. As I approached to see what kind of shop it was, it turned out to be the famous baked sweets shop, Akote-san. No photos allowed. Payment with a 1000 yen bill is preferred. The interior of the shop seems small, so it's best to enter without any bags. Upon opening the door, you are enveloped in a sweet and delicious aroma. The shop quickly fills up with just one person inside. To the right, there is a counter with baked sweets ranging from 800 yen to 1500 yen in transparent bags lined up. I visited on a weekday evening and there were many baked sweets available. When I asked a question to the woman behind the counter, she answered casually. A man from the back was also looking intently in our direction. The expiration date for the baked sweets is about 3 weeks. After some thought, I decided to purchase the chocolate-covered cookies for 1500 yen, which the staff mentioned are only sold during this season. Looking back, there was a shelf behind me with the last piece of Cinnamon and Framboise for 1000 yen, so I added it to my purchase. Blue Epis (7 pieces for 1000 yen) are cinnamon cookies with raspberry jam in between. Each one is dense and the size of a macaron. The flavor of cinnamon and butter raspberry jam is excellent. Baton Malachois (7 pieces for 1500 yen) has crunchy almonds, cookies, and chocolate on top. It has a firm yet surprisingly light and crispy texture, very delicious. At first, the prices seemed high, but after tasting them, I realized they are actually of high quality, individually packaged items that are bundled together in a simple package of 7, making them quite affordable. There were no lines, and you can purchase them when needed. It's a great shop that sells diligently-made baked sweets, perfect for those special moments. I will definitely visit again when the time is right.

Last time, I was turned away because I only had bills, so I gave it another try. I had a feeling from the reviews and my previous visit, so I made a quick decision and left quickly. The Boule Epis had thick cookies with strawberry jam. The cookies had a cinnamon flavor, quite spicy and crispy, and they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's about a 15-minute walk from Shirokanetakanawa, but it's quite a steep hill. The area seems like a regular house, and when I tried to visit once, it was closed for summer vacation. I was looking forward to it reopening, and when I finally went, it seemed like a small place where one person entering would make it full. There were various conditions, like no strollers allowed, which seemed more like a necessity to avoid causing trouble for the shop. With so many conditions, I shopped nervously, but thankfully, I didn't make any mistakes. Upon entering the shop, I heard a welcoming voice saying "Irasshaimase." Behind the counter was the kitchen, where the owner was kneading cookie dough. Everything is handmade here. Seeing various types of cookies displayed, I chose the Biscuit American for ¥1,000 and requested it verbally. Maybe it's better not to touch anything? I paid in cash and received the product as is. As I left the shop, I was thanked and bid farewell. The bag contained numerous cookies. It seems they pay thorough attention to the quality of ingredients, as the cookies are crunchy and bursting with delicious flavors. It's no wonder they are so popular, given how delicious they are.

Sweets TOKYO, a popular shop in Shirokanedai. According to reviews, there are unique rules such as only allowing one person inside, refusing entry to those not making a purchase, and no touching the products, only visual inspection. Cookies are priced at over 1,000 yen for a bag of 6, which is expensive. However, the popularity suggests they must be delicious. I visited from Shirokanedai Station on a Saturday around 12:25. I checked the store from outside and confirmed that only the owner and his wife were inside before entering. The shop is small, so it seems tight for more than two people. The owner was baking cookies in the back. Although all looked tempting, I chose the following this time: Biscuit American for 1,000 yen and Chestnut Cookie for 1,500 yen, totaling 2,500 yen. I shared them with my family at home. The Biscuit American is an almond cookie with a hint of chocolate flavor, melting gently in the mouth with a fine texture. The Chestnut Cookie has chocolate inside, lacking a strong chestnut taste but was satisfying and delicious. Both cookies were tasty, although I personally found them a bit pricey. However, my family loved them. They might make a nice souvenir. Thank you for the meal.

【2022 Best 100 Restaurants】I visited a bakery called "A Cote Patisserie" multiple times as there seems to be another bakery nearby. Located around Meiji Gakuin University, the shop is just the size of one door. When I entered, the shop owner, an elderly lady, was cleaning the doormat. The shop was so small that only two people could barely move inside... I was surprised that they even offered stand-up soba noodles! I tried the Boulette, an apéritif made with Gruyère cheese. It looked sweet with almonds in the middle, but the saltiness of the cheese stood out. The cheese flavor was also prominent. I bought baked goods for the first time, spending 1000 yen for 6 pieces.

[Sweets TOKYO Top 100 Stores 2022] Walking from Meiji Gakuin University towards Shirokane, you will find this shop that looks like a regular house. Located in a residential area, it may not stand out much, but the name of the shop is clearly displayed. Only one group can enter the shop at a time. This time, I purchased the following items. Biscuit, American Pallet, and Dam Pallet are cookies that offer a light yet rich flavor. Without a doubt, these would be appreciated as gifts. Delicious cookies that you don't often buy, but tasting them again, you can truly appreciate their flavor.

A French traditional confectionery made by a chef from Au Bon Vieux Temps. ・Entry is not allowed for those who do not make a purchase. ・Cash payment only. ・One group at a time. ・If entering as a group, only the person making a purchase can enter. ・No entry with a stroller. ・Do not touch items other than those you intend to purchase. ・No photography allowed inside the store. Please adhere to these rules. You must visually select and decide on what to buy, as touching items other than those you intend to purchase is not allowed. I think all the cookies were 1000 yen per bag. I saw good reviews about the cookies, so I decided to buy them. I purchased the ☑ Posh au Raisin Raisin Cookie. It uses two types of raisins in different colors. The bag did not specify the types of raisins. It is 60g for 1000 yen. It's quite expensive, isn't it? Actually, on my way back, I accidentally trapped the cookie bag in the train door and couldn't retrieve it. The train departed with the bag stuck in the door, passing my station... I was anxious since I didn't know if the door would open at the next station. Nobody helped me, so I desperately pulled the bag until I managed to retrieve it just in time to get off, but I was so worried about the 1000 yen cookies (;゚д゚) When I got home, the first thing I did was check the cookies! I was relieved that they were unharmed (laughs). The cookies were indeed delicious, as expected for the price. Once I started eating, I couldn't stop and ended up finishing them all in one go.

The small bag of cookies costs 1000 yen, those who do not make a purchase are not allowed to enter, baby strollers are not allowed, despite the zero hospitality and one-person operation, it was selected as one of the top 100 stores. It's frustrating but delicious. The patissier, Masaki Masuzawa, trained at the renowned Western confectionery shop Obon Butantan where even crying children fall silent. Although his wife is sometimes seen, Masuzawa is often the one handling everything, including customer service. On a holiday after 10 am, there was one customer before and one after us. The shop is full with just two people inside. There was a sign outside instructing us to wait. [Items purchased] Raisin Cookie ¥900, Chocolate Chip Cookie ¥900. Most items are over 1000 yen. The most expensive was the Chestnut Cookie at 1500 yen. I decided to pass on that one (^_^;) There was no "Welcome" or "Thank you." When I asked about the expiration date, the response was blunt. Honestly, the atmosphere wasn't great. (I'm sorry) But I was prepared for that, so I quickly made my selection and left. I thought, "If it's not delicious, I'll be mad!" but when I tasted it, well... As expected, it was great... Frustrating, yet delicious (^_^;) The texture is wonderful, and the dough mixture is exquisite. I usually don't like cookies, but this one is delicious. However, my favorite cookie is still from Parlor Laurel in Kuhonbutsu. It's a matter of personal preference, but this place didn't surpass that. The price is high, and without the added value of good customer service or beautiful packaging, personally, I find it hard to give a higher rating. I had been curious for a long time, so I'm glad I finally tried it. Thank you for the meal!

Akotepatisserie is located a 5-minute walk from Shirokanedai Station. Tabelog rating: 3.81 stars as of June 11, 2023.【Return visit in June 2023】It has been 8 years since my last visit. I came here after finding out that the cakes were not ready at Ryoco nearby, giving me some spare time. It's a short walk of less than 5 minutes. Upon entering, I noticed there were no other customers. The owner was as unfriendly as ever, while the wife greeted me warmly. ■ Cattle Delice for 2000 yen. 3 pieces for 2000 yen is quite reasonable. A delicacy where cashews and raisins are mixed with caramel sauce and sandwiched between shortbread before being baked. The caramel sauce is subtly sweet with a strong bitter taste. It has a crispy finish. However, at 700 yen per piece, it's a bit on the expensive side. ■ Cherry Tart for 1400 yen. A limited-time menu item during my visit. According to the shop's Twitter, it's available only once a year. I arrived just as it was being baked. Made with cherries "Beni Sayaka" from Yamagata on a pie crust tart. Personally, it was somewhat surprising to learn that the shop owner is from Bhutan. The shop leans more towards being a bakery that focuses on quality ingredients rather than overly sweet French pastries. I tried their most popular Cattle Delice, and although I rated it higher than my last visit, I personally value the taste of the finished product over the ingredients, so the shop's emphasis on cost-effectiveness makes it difficult for me to rate it highly.

I visited the restaurant A Cote Patisserie, which is ranked 52 out of 100 in the Sweets Tokyo Top 100 list for 2022 on Tabelog. It is located in Shirokanedai, a quiet residential area. The exterior of the shop is compact and cozy. The interior is small, with only one staff member serving one group at a time. This bakery specializes in baked goods and is very popular in Tokyo. I had tried their pastries before as a gift and found them delicious. I stopped by to buy some souvenirs and enjoyed them with my colleagues. The Posh au Raisin, Crack, and Biscuit Americain were all traditional and delightful in flavor and texture. These would make great gifts. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. Isn't it a great shop?

I happened to stop by this place nearby and bought some cookies. It was a weekday evening and there were about 8 varieties to choose from. The chocolate chip cookies, 6 pieces for around 1,000 yen, were homemade with a subtle amount of sugar and butter, catering to Japanese taste buds. They didn't have a strong wheat aroma and had a light and crumbly texture. As someone who prefers rich buttery and sweet homemade treats, these cookies didn't quite hit the mark for me. However, I think they would be good for those who prefer a more subtly sweet flavor.

A small, serious-looking bakery in Shirokanedai. It seems like the owner is running the shop alone. The taste was introduced as a hidden gem by Hirano-san! I was surprised by how rich and delicious the cookies were. The items I chose were each a decent size, very satisfying. It's truly a level of dessert where one cookie is like a whole dish. As a chocolate lover, I particularly enjoyed the stick-shaped cookies. Although it's a bit on the expensive side and I can't go frequently, I would like to visit again as a treat to try other items.

Visited on a weekday. It's a bakery located in Takanawa-dai. I bought an Allette (900 yen)! Apparently, photography inside the store is prohibited, so I only have a picture of the exterior (^ ^) It was a crispy pastry made of pie crust and it was delicious, but 900 yen is quite expensive (・_・; I'm not sure about the lack of "welcome" or "thank you" from the staff... Thank you for the meal!

I came here because I saw "Today's ●●" on Twitter. On this day, they had lemon tart. I really wanted to try it! It was actually the day I was supposed to pick up a lemon tart entremet at Ryoko's, but I ended up coming here to Acote first. No photos allowed inside, so I only took pictures of what I bought. Lemon Tart - 1,000 yen: I had it outside while waiting for my order at Ryoko's. It was really delicious! The meringue was firm and had a good texture. The collaboration between the sweetness and the sourness of the lemon cream below was excellent! The topping seemed like apricot jam, but it was something else. I couldn't figure it out in the end. The tart crust was crispy and well done. Boulette - 1,000 yen: Basically Gruyere cheese. A cookie to accompany wine. I can't drink alcohol, but it was delicious. Arlette - 950 yen: Thin dough caramelized with a strong almond flavor. There were about 8 pieces. Everything was delicious! Acote is a bit pricey, but still worth it.

Arrived at A Côté Patisserie in Shirokanedai at 3:15 PM. Purchased the Biscuit Américain for 1,000 yen. The pricing is quite bold. The customer service was not as indifferent as mentioned in the reviews on Tabelog. The biscuit was crispy on the outside and had a good moist texture inside. The chocolate flavor was subtle. A refined American cookie. It was delicious for the high price, but also left a slightly regretful feeling.

The name of the restaurant "A Cote" means "next to, nearby" in French. I visited for the first time because I empathized with the chef's feelings when my family moved to the neighborhood. I bought a gift for the visit after moving, hoping that the family who moved nearby would also appreciate it. Although the restaurant opened at 11:00 during the consecutive holidays, I arrived too early and found customers waiting in line when I returned to the shop after strolling through the streets. While waiting outside for the opening, a pleasant smell of cookies baking began to envelop the area. I entered as the second customer. Since it was my first time, I consulted the chef who was baking cookies while providing customer service on what to buy, and he said that each flavor is different so choose according to your preference. I asked about the flavors and made my choice. I purchased three types of cookies: Cateau Delice, which is a sablé cookie sandwiched with cashews mixed with caramel sauce, Bourre Epice with cinnamon and wood strawberry jam, and Boulette Gruyere Cheese, which is not too sweet and spreads the taste and aroma of cheese throughout the mouth. My family enjoyed all of them. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a picture of the cookies, but I made sure to capture the exterior of the shop. Also, photography is not allowed inside the shop.

During Golden Week, on a certain day while walking from Gotanda towards Takanawa-dai, I stumbled upon a shop a little ways from Takanawa-dai Station. It was in a quiet residential area, and when I went inside, I found some delicious and luxurious-looking sweets. I bought a "Vulcan" for 900 yen. I had it later at home, and it was delicious. It would go well with a café au lait or even with tea. It was tasty. People around here eat these kinds of things. How stylish. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

If you have experience making sweets, you'll notice it right away. The taste of using plenty of high-quality butter. The chocolate on the cookies seems to be made with quite good ingredients. I enjoyed a happy moment with my family. Thank you very much ♡ The price for these three items was around 4,500 yen. The shop is run by two people. Considering the location, ingredients, and labor costs, I don't think it's expensive at all. When I first saw the wording on the sign posted in front of the store, I was surprised, but considering the small sales area and the risk of products being damaged by unnecessary traffic, I personally think it's natural for the store to want to control customers' expectations. I would recommend this place to: - Those who want to eat something really delicious rather than just looking fancy and glamorous. - Those who like sweets with plenty of butter. - Those who simply love cookies more than anything else.

Arriving at A Côté Patisserie, a renowned sweets shop just a few minutes' walk from Shirokanedai Station, I noticed only one customer inside. The shop is so small that only one group can enter at a time, or rather, it seems only one person can fit due to its narrowness. I had read a review mentioning the shop's salty service, but the staff was actually quite normal. When I greeted them with a "Hello," they responded with a polite "Welcome." I wonder if the prices are typical for Shirokanedai... I purchased a Pari de Dam and a Biscuit American for a total of 1,900 yen for both items! I enjoyed the Pari de Dam in a nearby park, finding it to be just an average cookie. As for the Biscuit American, I had it at home. It's a chocolate chip cookie. The taste was just average, I'd say.

Unbelievably delicate cookies! The moment you open the bag, a gentle buttery scent that reminds you of when your mother used to bake sweets at home. The Epice version has a spicy cinnamon aroma. When you put it in your mouth, it crumbles softly and becomes incredibly moist and delicious when you chew. The strawberries and blackcurrants sandwiched in each are concentrated with both sourness and sweetness, making them wonderful.

The shop located in a residential area near Shirokanedai sells a pack of 5 sablé cookies for 1000 yen, which seems a bit pricey. The aroma upon opening the bag was delightful, and the taste was quite good. However, it was a bit off-putting that there was no greeting at the checkout, and the cashier just roughly placed the cash tray. It seems like they have a bit of a craftsman-like attitude, but the cookies were indeed delicious.
