A shop specializing in fresh pasta along the main street. I ordered the Napoli style pasta, which seems to be their specialty. The ordering system is similar to a beef bowl or ramen shop, with a counter and ticket machine. The service was quick, and the noodles were chewy. Soft drinks were also included.

I prefer fresh pasta over al dente so I was curious about this place! There are a few famous Hashiya-style restaurants in Shinjuku, but there are still few places that serve fresh pasta so I'm grateful for this. Visited on a weekday at 3:30 pm. There were still some seats available even though it was a decent time. Purchased the ticket at the vending machine right at the entrance. Ordered the Mentaiko Cream pasta for 900 yen, with the option to upsize for an additional 150 yen. Also got a complimentary soft drink, probably a regular offer. Ordered an Acerola drink. The pasta arrived in less than 10 minutes. It had a simple appearance with a light pink color. The first bite was a bit firm, but as I continued, it had a perfect texture. The pasta was incredibly chewy and soft. The sauce was thick and clung well to the noodles. The flavor was a bit vague with a strong taste of seasoning, maybe dashi or MSG. It had a hint of mentaiko but could be more accurately described as a "dashi cream sauce". I added some Tabasco from the condiments on the table and it helped to balance the flavors. Overall, it was okay. I thought maybe I should have ordered the Carbonara if I wanted a cream-based dish. The heavy noodles and sauce made it quite filling. The atmosphere was welcoming for both men and women. The counter seating made it easy for solo diners to enjoy a meal. Thank you for the meal!

Shinjuku is definitely one of the best value pasta restaurants in Tokyo. When you order pasta, you get a free drink, which is a nice bonus. I have been coming here since it was located in the basement of Kinokuniya bookstore, and the menu item I have ordered the most is the "JIN JIN Carbonara." The pasta is chewy with a good texture, the rich white sauce, and the large bacon with a spicy black pepper topping create a fantastic balance and perfection. You can also enjoy a flavor change by mixing in the tomato sauce provided on the side, making it delicious until the end. The consistent deliciousness that has been going on since the Showa era. Thank you for the meal.

Pasta restaurant located near Shinjuku Marui Annex, just across the street from the park side. It's next to Hakata Tenjin! This is my third time here, and it's a great value for money place! In Shinjuku, there are many delicious pasta restaurants like Hashiya, Arudentei, and Kagero, but they all cost over 1000 yen. However, this place offers pasta for under 1000 yen with a drink included. The interior is all counter seats, with a casual atmosphere similar to Saizeriya, making it easy for women to dine alone. The highly recommended dish is the basil and shirasu peperoncino, but this time I went with the carbonara which came with a soft-boiled egg, which was a nice touch. The noodles here are chewy and just my style! The rich cream and bacon were delicious. I also enjoyed the acerola drink that came with the set. The fact that they are open all day and not crowded is fantastic. It's a hidden gem for sure. It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Seasonal Menu: Nanohana and Mussel Genovese for 1,080 yen (from memory). The noodles were chewy and delicious!! I didn't plan on eating here as I was just passing by, but I couldn't resist the combination of mussels and Genovese sauce that I love! Haha

I have been going to this fresh pasta specialty store for over half a century since it was located in the basement of Kinokuniya Bookstore main branch. It offers delicious pasta at a reasonable price, and the atmosphere is bright, clean, and relaxed despite the stand-up seating. When you order pasta, you get a complimentary drink. I usually order the "JINJIN Carbonara," but today I decided to try the "Rich Carbonara." The fresh pasta has a good texture, and the white sauce is slightly creamy with just the right richness. It doesn't become too heavy as you eat, avoiding the common problem of getting tired of the dish. It was consistently delicious.

I used it after work. It is a pasta specialty store located a short walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station. The store was established in 1970, so it seems to have a long history. Although it is a pasta specialty store, it is not just ordinary pasta; this store specializes in fresh pasta. I had been curious about this store as I passed by it many times, so I decided to stop by. There was a ticket machine at the entrance that accepted transportation IC cards and QR code payments. The interior was bright and had a simple atmosphere with a casual dining feel, with one table seat and the rest being counter seats. This time, I ordered the special-size pasta with mushrooms and bacon in butter soy sauce. The pasta menu includes a drink, and you can change it to an alcoholic drink for an additional fee. I paid the extra charge and ordered a draft beer. The draft beer was Asahi's draft beer, with a safe and delicious taste. The pasta was served faster than I expected, arriving in about 3 minutes after ordering. The fresh pasta had a chewy texture, which was unique. Even though I ordered the special size, it seemed that only the amount of pasta increased, as the toppings were a bit on the smaller side. Since the sauce was collected at the bottom of the plate, I recommend mixing it well before eating. I imagined that I would be full with the special size, but surprisingly, I finished it quickly and my stomach was not satisfied... haha. There was nothing particularly addictive about the fresh pasta, so unless I have a hard time choosing a restaurant, I probably won't visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Jinjin because I ate too much Peperoncino and the reviews were good~! Don't you think Peperoncino often has shiso and shirasu added to it? Personally, I get excited when there's thick bacon included. I also like shirasu though. But I want to eat some hearty meat too. I purchased a meal ticket at the touch panel first. The touch panel is big and easy to read, which is nice. They accept cashless payments. I tried adding wiener as a topping (I saw someone's photo and it looked delicious, so I tried it too). The tables are arranged in a unique shape, with the kitchen and seating area forming a horseshoe shape. There was also a regular table seat. It seems like there is a high demand for solo lunch customers in this location. The fresh pasta has a chewy texture. This chewy texture might become addictive. But Peperoncino might not be suited for fresh pasta. It would probably go really well with a tomato-based sauce. There seems to be very little garlic in it. Maybe it's not included at all? Perhaps they use less garlic because many people come for lunch. I wanted to eat a Peperoncino with lots of garlic, so I was a bit disappointed. However, this dish is still very delicious. The price is also reasonable, at less than 1000 yen!

This is my first visit. When you order pasta, a drink comes with it. I ordered Carbonara with tomato sauce. The fresh pasta's chewiness is really good! It's nice to be able to enjoy changing the taste by mixing in the tomato sauce halfway through, and the cost performance is good with the drink included. I think I'll try a different pasta next time.

At this pasta restaurant in front of Shinjuku Gyoen Station, you can enjoy delicious pasta at a reasonable price. Plus, you get a free drink with your meal, so it's a great deal. The pasta has a perfect al dente texture, with a slightly chewy texture that enhances its unique deliciousness. We ordered the Vongole Bianco and Mentaiko Cream to share this time, and personally, I found the rich Mentaiko Cream to be especially delicious. If you're looking for cheap and tasty pasta near Shinjuku Gyoen Station, be sure to stop by this restaurant!

There was a large sign that read "Specializing in Fresh Pasta" which caught my attention. The inside of the restaurant mainly had counter seats and was bustling with customers. It seemed to be the first store of a pasta restaurant chain related to SAGAMI, known for their soba noodles. I tried the Meat Cheese Napolitan dish. A drink came with the meal for free. The pasta had a slight taste of fresh pasta, but I felt that the impact was somewhat lacking, considering it was being promoted as a specialty. The prices were reasonable, which was a good point.

The menu is displayed prominently outside the shop, and it only has a counter, so I was a bit hesitant to enter because the prices for fresh noodles are quite cheap. However, I'm glad I did. I ordered the Mentaiko Cream (950 yen) with 1.5 times the regular serving (150 yen). It comes with a free soft drink, but you can upgrade to a glass of beer for an additional 300 yen, or a pitcher for 400 yen. The fresh noodles were incredibly chewy, and the Mentaiko cream sauce was rich and plentiful, coating the noodles perfectly. The two female staff members were efficient and friendly. I would definitely visit again for lunch after visiting Shinjuku Gyoen.

I went to the restaurant with a friend at Shinjuku Gyoen before our picnic and we were both hungry. The pasta was delicious and had a nice chewy texture! They accept various cashless payment methods. It's a perfect spot for business people to take a break. I'll definitely come back alone when I'm walking around Shinjuku. (^^)

On February 11, 2023, I visited JINJIN in Shinjuku for the first time. I had been there 2-3 times when they were located in the Kinokuniya Building. I'm not sure of the exact circumstances, but it seemed like they moved every time I drove by Shinjuku Street. When my wife and I were thinking about where to have lunch on Saturday, I remembered JINJIN and we decided to go there. We arrived at the restaurant at 1:05 PM and although it was full, we were seated almost immediately. I ordered the JINJIN Neapolitan for 720 yen and my wife ordered the mushroom and bacon with butter soy sauce pasta for 880 yen. We bought our meal tickets and sat at the counter, and our food arrived in less than 10 minutes. This restaurant serves fresh pasta, cooked slightly al dente with a chewy texture. My Neapolitan pasta had bacon, onions, and mushrooms with a slightly tangy tomato sauce that was flavorful and delicious. There was a partition between our seats, so I didn't taste my wife's pasta, but the JINJIN Neapolitan was tasty. I felt like I could have used a bit more volume, so next time I'll order the large size.

The other day, I happened to come across a curry restaurant in Shinjuku that I used to frequent in the past. While eating there, I remembered another spaghetti restaurant that I had also visited before, so I decided to look it up online. I found out that it had relocated to around Shinjuku 2-chome and was still in business. The internet truly is convenient. When I visited the new location, I was surprised to see a modern, colorful exterior that was a far cry from the dimly lit counter-style restaurant in the underground shopping arcade from the Showa era. In my younger days, I used to always go for the calorie-packed carbonara, but this time I opted for the bacon and spinach peperoncino set meal with salad and a drink for 850 yen. As I sat at the counter, I noticed that the place was bustling with customers of all ages and backgrounds. The atmosphere was welcoming and it seemed like a place loved by everyone. I couldn't help but notice that there were many young, attractive women among the customers. Back in the days of the Kinokuniya underground location, I used to watch a lovely middle-aged lady cooking carbonara with a young staff member behind the counter. Although I couldn't see the kitchen this time, it was clear that the restaurant had evolved into a place that can satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. Right outside the restaurant, I also saw another old favorite of mine, a Chinese restaurant called "Zuien Bekkan." It was nice to see that it was still thriving. The nostalgia continues with these wonderful dining experiences. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited the restaurant "JINJIN Shinjuku NIchome" and it is located near the Shinjuku Sanchome intersection. The exterior of the restaurant is easily recognizable with a prominent sign. The interior consists of counter seats only, but there are a decent number of seats available. This restaurant is a long-established one, founded in 1970 (52 years ago), specializing in fresh pasta. It used to be located in the basement of Kinokuniya Bookstore in Shinjuku, but has since relocated to the Nomura Building and Shinjuku Sanchome intersection. I visited this restaurant out of nostalgia, as I used to frequent it as a student part-time worker 33 years ago. I used to enjoy their delicious dishes such as the "Mon Snack" (light curry) and fresh pasta alternately every day. The memories from back then resurfaced as I tried their Peperoncino with shirasu and shiso, along with a Pepsi Cola. The evolution of their fresh pasta over the years is evident, while still retaining the nostalgic taste of the past. It's a good restaurant with a taste of the good old Showa era.

As expected, it's fast! Cheap! Delicious! That's the three key points, right? The drink set is also good. It's nice to have it served before the meal. The meat sauce pasta (¥750) doesn't have any special features, but it's a reliably tasty meat sauce.

I have been coming to this restaurant with my parents since I was in elementary school. It had closed down due to renovation work at the Shinjuku Kinokuniya Building basement, but has reopened at a new location in the second district. During lunchtime, the customers keep coming in non-stop, but the turnover is quick so they handle it well. As usual, I ordered meat sauce and salad at the ticket machine. The lunch drink still comes for free. I panicked for a moment when I didn't see Parmesan cheese at the counter, but they brought it along with the pasta. I enjoy the chewy texture of the fresh noodles and the addictive meat sauce with plenty of grated cheese on top. The taste is just as expected, giving me a sense of reassurance. This is a place that I would want to visit again when I remember it.

Last night's taste and the atmosphere of the spa were not properly remembered, so I made a surprise visit for the second night in a row. It was a stand-alone spaghetti restaurant. I bought a food ticket. Today, it seems that it was not the closing time, so I took my time.
☆ Order: Vongole Bianco, white wine glass. I chose wine because it was cheaper than other drinks. It had some acidity, but I didn't know the brand. The clams in the Vongole were shelled. I started with the clams, but it turned out to be canned mushrooms? It was included in the dish. The spaghetti was firm and al dente. I don't have the knowledge to know which part of the pasta is most easily felt as "fresh pasta."

On 11/24, I was walking back from a bar on a clear night. I really wanted to eat something and have another drink. I ended up at a spaghetti restaurant on Shinjuku Street. They had a ticket machine system. I think I'll go for the Napoletana, since I love it. But there are two types of Napoletana on the menu, one with the restaurant's name and one described as nostalgic. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I'll go for the cheaper option. I ordered the JINJIN Napoletana with a red wine glass. It used to be located in the Kino Kunia bookstore underground mall. Maybe they have a naming rights deal now? It's a restaurant that serves fresh pasta. Is Napoletana considered more upscale than the typical version? Wasn't Napoletana originally created in a high-end hotel in Yokohama?
